I am from Japan and currently study at Monash University. I am looking for a better place to live. I would like to have more opportunities to chat with housemates and share diverse cultures. However, I am so mature, tidy and neat that I can respect others' space.
Hello ! My name is Alex, I am a 23 years old French guy doing a full time internship in the city. I arrived in Melbourne 2 months ago and been living in a sharehouse in Fitzroy since then. My sublet comes to an end so i'm looking for a new room in the area ! I am easy going, respect other people's privacy and always keen for a chat, share a meal and have a glass of (french wine). I am a 25 year old New Zealander living in Melbourne working at Monash University. I am a biologist with an interest in mosquitoes! I thrive on outdoor adventures (rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, yoga). Meeting new people is something I really enjoy doing and have been described as very easy going, caring and courteous by my friends. I am courteous and respectful of people's space and time. I strongly believe in creating a positive atmosphere in which people are free to express themselves in doing so we can learn and share from one another. Living In communal settings I know the importance of having a clean and tidy environment, of which I endeavor to uphold. I can also make a legendary butter chicken dish! :)
I am fun and bubbly. Music is the biggest thing for me I would love to live with like minded people. Someone who will put on a album while we are cleaning. I will be studying entertainment management so i will be in my room a lot studying. When i am not studying i love going out to live music gigs and nightclubs so i can get my boogie on. I make a mean spaghetti carbonara and cherry slice :P

I am a 3rd Year Bachelor of Sound and Audio Engineering Student at Boxhill Institute. I've been living with a housemate for the past year and a half but an opportunity has arisen for them to move into a better/cheaper residency with other friends, so I I will most likely be in need of a new place to live in the next few months, whilst I finish my final year of study. I am a musician, artist, fun and loud but respect quiet, tidy, independent. I currently don't have a car so will need to be near public transport. I have a small dog but may be able to leave them with family if necessary.
Hi, Very social, organised and clean student who works two jobs. I am currently studying my second year and looking for a place close to my uni (Swinburne) or along a train line so I have convenient transport. Love to cook so there will always be food. I am usually always busy with uni, work and social time so I wouldn't be in the way but at the same time would be down to catch up over a glass of wine. Don't have much time to go out on the weekend as I am usually working so I am not looking for a party house. Thanks and please do contact me if you think we would be suitable flat mates.
Easy going and social housemate. Work full time as youth / mental health worker. I am respectful of people's space and privacy. Also tidy and enjoy living with and meeting new people. I play sport and music and enjoy keeping active .
Hi my name is Habiba, I am 24 (soon to be 25). I just moved to Melbourne where I work as a service delivery manager for an IT company. I am pretty chill, laid back and tidy. I will be spending my early mornings at the gym and most day at work. I am very friendly and self aware. Looking to live within 20 min commute to CBD.
I love to go out for dinners with close friends, love movies and cooking occasionally. I'm tidy and respectful of communal places and expecting the same qualities. I'm kind person, with an easy going attitude and easy to be around. I am accommodating to others so long as the same respect is reciprocated. I'd love to arrange for an inspection. Cheers

Me and my wife are easy going people, we like meeting new people, places and things. We are both dentists. Our favorites activities are running, biking, hiking, gaming and watching movies or TV series. We clean after our self, we are very respecfull and we dont make much noise. We'll like those traits as well for our future flatmates. Thank-you for reading, anything more don't be afraid to ask

I am a fun-loving 27-year-old professional from Melbourne looking to either fill a vacant room or team up with others to start something new. I am very easy going - I have a social, vivacious and spontaneous personality and enjoy cooking and/or catching up with housemates over a good tv show or drink. Yet, I am also very considerate of others' space and enjoy my own to unwind here and there. My profession is in the sciences but I enjoy anything creative in my own time; namely painting, reading and listening to alllllll sorts of music/going to gigs etc. I try to live a very active, healthy lifestyle and am a massive foodie so enjoy going out with friends regularly to check out new spots. I also adore anything adventurous outdoors and trying new things/learning from others' interests and knowledge. I am neat and tidy by nature and proactive with cleaning as I appreciate living in a clean space. Please PM me if this sounds like you!! Liv
Hello! I'm from Spain and I'll arrive in Melbourne on February 28. I'm going to spend the next 7 months studying English at the city. During the week I like chilling out at home reading a book or watching movie, or with friends and a good coffee or a glass of wine. On weekends I like socialising and having fun! I'm an easygoing mix of sociable and introverted. My level of English is not very good yet, so maybe I seem a little shy at first. Just give me time! Some of my favourite things include: eating, drinking good coffee/tea, exploring, traveling, live music, drawing, writing to do lists, reading,..
Hey there! I am moving to Melbourne in March and am looking for a place to stay. I am a mechanical engineer, Indian by passport but grew up between India, England and Malaysia. So its my first time in Australia. When I am not working I am generally reading a book, watching a movie, or working on my music (singing). Huge F.R.I.E.N.D.S fan. I cook decent pasta and Indian food but only when I am in the mood for it. Vegetarian by choice, And I tend to keep my room, kitchen (if i do cook) and bathrooms clean.
I am Heba, a 32 year old female PhD student at RMIT. I stay most of my day at uni doing cutting- edge research :) but at the end of the day I love to come back to my cozy home and lay back, watch a nice movie over dinner. I appreciate privacy, although I would love to enjoy a nice conversation or outing with my new flat mate. I am very easy going and fun-loving person. I love swimming, reading, jogging, a nice stroll by the beach, hanging out with friends at restaurants. if you are interested please message me :)
I'm pretty easy going and always up for a chat over a few beers. Work for a marketing company in Collingwood and also studying a masters part time. Moving up from Geelong so looking to live with some fun, easy going people.
Hey I'm Stef and I'm looking to move into a house (preferably) or apartment with 1-2 people as soon as possible as I'm currently commuting from Geelong. I come with all of the furniture and with an adorable French Bulldog named Biggie, so you're going to have to like dogs! I work office hours in marketing for a pub group, am extremely easy going and enjoy the odd vino (or 2). I've previously lived with a partner and after that a housemate, and tend to fall into the role of the organised/responsible one which doesn't really phase me. So I'm fully capable of remembering to pay the bills. I really don't care whether you want to be mates or keep to yourself, however a brunch/drinking buddy is always welcome. My main request is my own bathroom and an outdoor space for my dog. Feel free to get in touch to go for a coffee or wine.
I'm a 25 year old female working professional in marketing in Richmond. I like to keep busy with work, exercise and going out with family and friends for a good meal and a wine. Looking for housemate(s) similar to myself who would enjoy a chat after work sometimes but also like to chill out in their own time too.

Would love to find a comfortable home where after one day work or study we can relax and enjoy life itself! Good reference:)
I am happy to move in a shared house or start one in the area listed. I have all white goods like fridge TV, L shaped leather couch, washing and of course all the kitchen utensils. If we find a place with a backyard, I even have a BBQ and backyard furniture :). Let me know your thoughts. I would be inspecting properties or move into a shared place.
Hi! We are two spanish students, working part-time jobs with Student Visa. We´re going to stay here for the next 8 months. We´re very responsible and tidy people, we pay in the agreed time. We can stay with males or females, we´re non smokers and we love to watch and play sports. We are very sociable and gentle, and we are looking forward to move to a nice and comfortable place :)
After graduating a degree in surveying, I've gained an excellent gig sitting in an office opposite Argyle Square in Carlton undertaking research and spatial analytics (look I'm still learning what it exactly is also). Because of this, and no longer requiring Centrelink sponsorship to survive, I'm looking to move closer to the city/work/social hubs such that my time isn't being wasted away in commuting. I'm an easy going, friendly person that understands a share house (preferably home) dynamic and the respect, courtesy and effort required to keep a house clean, tidy* and in turn a place that all feel comfortable in. I'm not one to hide away in my room and love getting out and about on either my treddly (bicycle) or whatever social occasion has warranted it. I can offer the house plenty of furniture and plants that are thriving** but can easily move into a place that is fully furnished. Look I'm honestly stuck for wards and hating writing this much like a resume or cover letter so if I haven't turned you off me already and still willing to meet me in person that would be excellent. Look if you want to know more about me, don't hesitate on the questions as I hate having to give a spiel about myself. Move in dates are flexible, as I am more interested to find a place that I'm happy with. Honestly, the size of room, quality of house aren't really big concerns of mine, I just want a place where I can enjoy everyone's company and in turn they can enjoy mine! * Mum made a conscious effort to domesticate us at a young age for all the free child labour she could get out of me and my brothers ** some definitely, others are debatable
Hello there! I'm Tamara, 32 years old from Brazil. I recently moved to Melbourne to study, but I also work full time. I spent two years in Australia with the working holiday visa and now I'm studying Travel and Tourism. I think what makes me a great person to live with is that I'm easy-going, but I also like the house to be tidy and clean, so I can be relaxed in a way, but also responsible. I grew up in Brazil, but moved to Germany in my 20s, where I spent 7 years. Later Germany became a bit boring for me, so I went traveling and lived in different places like Switzerland and Cambodia. Now I'm based in Melbourne for a couple of years and I love the city. Music, cinema and arts are my life. I love to exercise as well with yoga, running or swimming. I'm a spiritual person, who loves outdoor activities, but also to spend a chilled out day in bed listening to music or watching movies. It's difficult to write in a short note why I'd be a good housemate, but I honestly consider myself a good girl at heart, good fun, and very laid-back. Hope you can consider me as your future housemate :)
I'm Henry, 26, English by Birth - Aussie by passport. Passionate about about health and fitness, and drinking Tea. I currently working in construction which means I am out of the house most days. After hours I usually go to the gym and i cook most nights and enjoy cooking for others too. I work hard and I also know how to have a good time. However i need my sleep and can be a grandma during the week. iv lived with strangers before however I have been renting my own place in prahran for the last 2 years, so like most people, I like having my own space- but Im also a people person and living by yourself can get lonely.. Id like to live with people who I can confuse with sarcasm, who have a good work/life balance, friendly, clean and intelligent. Pets love me too. If I sound like someone you could see as a housemate, please give me a call or message :) cheers H
I am an open fun (German) roommate with years of experience in sharing apartments. I like to cook and be social, but also appreciate some quiet time now and then. I work in hospitality on Chapel so I do like to go out for a drink or two. I am not the cleanest person ever (so probably not the right fit for people with OCD) but I keep the common areas tidy. I am really easy going so just message me and you can get to know me!
Irish guy moving to Melbourne. Very easy going and clean. Looking for full time finance work. Outgoing, so normally not in the house too much, love meeting new people and I have never had any issues with prior room mates, I can give you contact info for them, if you would like to talk to them directly for their perspective. I love cooking (for myself and others) and I am very approachable if you do have anything you need to say. Moving to a new city, open to meeting anyone! Feel free to get in touch
Independent, quiet, easy going and respectful of others. From Tasmania originally been in Melbourne since 2013. I am a corrective exercise and rehab trainer/personal trainer. I enjoy running, cycling, swimming and gym.
Hi future flatmates / friend, I am looking for someone to team-up with 1 or 2 people to rent a 2 bedrooms apartment in South Yarra. I’ve started to apply a few places in South Yarra. I have been in Melbourne few years, wish to move to South Yarra because currently living in an industrial area suburb. In the past 10 months I always had an housemate, she just move out few months ago. I am independent, person, used to stay with housemate and by myself. I have my own furniture (from kitchen utensil to washing machine... and etc) ready to move into an unfinished place. I am in design / building industry and work during weekday. I usually visit gym during weekday. My typical weekend routine is catching up with friends, cleaning my own place. I like to have friends come over for lunch/dinner few times a year. I play guitar, do some painting, once a while at home. When I am not meeting anyone, I will lay on my couch and watch comedy with some drinks. Oh yea, I love cooking. Not an everyday heavy cooking person, but I enjoy occasional nice meal at home. I love outdoor activity, will do some camping during weekend. I don’t have a car, so if I found a place with carpark, you could take it. I am looking for someone who is independent, mature, responsible, clean, able to open and talk if not happy with anything, appropriate quiet, used to living with someone (besides your parents). Plus a little bit of silly, have a sense of humour will be perfect. Prefer non-smoker. If this sounds like what you looking for the good quality of a housemate should be, let's have a chat.
We are both moving to Melbourne from Sydney for roughly a month with work. We are both laid-back, friendly, clean and respectful of others. We have both also lived out of home for a number of years. Most of the time during the week we will be at work.
I moved to Melbourne from Adelaide over a year ago, and have felt at home in this city every day since. Currently I study full-time in the CBD, and work in retail a few days a week. That may sound like I'm not around a lot, but I enjoy time at home, too. Balance is key: love the outdoors, getting artsy, and going for a good boogie. I'm a social gal for sure, but foremost I respect people in their spaces. Although I'm 20, I have spent the last few years independent. I know what it takes to be considerate of others and responsible for myself, and I'm always willing to discuss household logistics. I have specified that I'm looking to stay for 1 year or more, however I'm happy with 6-9 months if a superb opportunity calls for it.
I am a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam who is currently traveling the world after working 8 years as a young professional in Telecommunications. I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. That's why I'm looking for a place to call home. I'm also planning to work as much as possible in the next few months. People appreciate me because of my positive, outgoing and happy attitude. I'm reliable, trustworthy and very social. I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. I'm sociable, reliable, friendly, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beers and I am a music lover in general (would love to learn to play any instrument!). Other things I appreciate: food & cooking, sustainable living, serious conversations, coffee, spirituality and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy plase to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Coburg, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor or surrounding area's. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So, if you concider to rent out a room and you are looking for an awesome housemate, don't hesitate to contact me right away so we could have a chat in real life soon (that probably gives a way better impression of myself then this story)
We are a couple from Nottingham England currently travelling Australia for a year. We have been living in Melbourne for the past 3 months. We work full time during the week. We are both very sociable and love meeting new people.
Hello Im Stacey .. 25 years old From Scotland. Im a really chilled person and easy to get along with really love a good chat but respect peoples space and privacy! Would never say no to a beer or a glass of wine with housemates. My cooking and baking skills are not too bad either. I really really love music, dancing and reading. Working full time at the moment so out a lot and at weekends I'm usually catching up with friends or down at the beach making the most of the sunshine when it does come!! Hello!! I'm from Indonesia with Chinese background. I'm living life like a double agent: When I was in Indonesia I'm self employed, running my own online shop selling bags and shoes, often travelling to meet suppliers in China - while enjoying my time living in the world's most liveable city with a working holiday visa! :) In Melbourne I work at a chocolate cafe as an all-rounder. I love coffee so it was a really fun job for me. I look forward to work at flower shops for my love for flowers as well. I love reading and wandering around the city. Since I have about a little more than 4 months left in Australia, I'll be working at a chocolate cafe casually, while working on my online shop, and enjoy Melbourne as much as I can. I've lived in Footscray area for the past 6 months and would love to try living in other suburbs! I enjoy exploring the city on my own and am looking forward to go on road trips for the rest of my stay in Melbourne. I also love nights in as much as nights out drinking with friends! Very excited to be back in Melbourne after going home for the holidays for a month.
I'm tidy, clean, used to live by myself and in share houses. I love pets, don't like party houses (but I love to have some few friends around sometimes). Like my privacy but need human contact as well. I lived in Latin America and Europe, where I learned a lot about different cultures and habits.
Hi I'm Vadim. I am Born from a Belgian father and Australian mother. Spent the first 20 years living in Brussels, then I left for University in the Netherlands and a semester I'll never forget In Lima, Peru. I started my professional career in Hotel Management in SYDNEY for two years and now in Melbourne for over a year. I am looking for a private room in a shared house with a vibrant and strong knit community of people. That's what I'm all about - being around fun and happy people willing to share experiences and have drinks/dinner with. A nice group of housemates that I look forward to coming home to and unwind with after a long day at the office. I play guitar (acoustic so not too loud), I ride a motorcycle (Harley Davidson street 500) and I like to laugh and watch a diverse-range of films. Looking forward to meeting you and becoming a part of something new. Vad
- Happy to become a part of the family or hide under the staircase Harry Potter style and do my own thing. - 25 y/o from the vast lands of Canada, working as a consultant here on a contract - raised by a cleaner, so I tend to clean in my spare time - like to cook large batches and enjoy taste testers of my experiments; I make a mean roast - I make a meaner G&T - more than happy to crack a bottle of wine and hang out as a household - Ex-Financier so I pay on time; a Lannister always pays his debts - Reading, running, diving, soccer, travels, long chats fueled by point #4; I’m easy going and open minded to debates and opinions - Board games are my jam; they ruin and strength all friendships. Overall, just a laid back guy looking to enjoy Melbourne and join a household!
Hi world! My name is Alexander Sørensen. I'm a study abroad student from Denmark studying film at Swinburne for a semester, and I'm super excited to get the chance to live in Melbourne. I'm a passionate film maker and songwriter who loves dogs, fitness and skating. I'm a very extroverted person who is surprisingly good at respecting privacy as contradictory as that may sound :) Fun facts about me: My favorite color is blue I'm half chinese, half danish I'm the (unofficial) best fried rice cook in all of Denmark I know how to say 'cheers' in 8 different languages Best regards, Alexander the Danish dude
I'm a kiwi, so of course I love a great glass of wine. I'm quite good in the kitchen, I can bake a pretty great cake and my brownie could easily be some of the best in the world. I will be undertaking my Masters at RMIT and working Part-time so will be super busy. I work/ study in the fashion industry, so it would be cool if we had a few interests in common.
Sean and I are from England. We are an easy going couple who like to chill and watch cartoons as well as have a beer or three with our pals. We respect our flatmates space and are clean/tidy. Sean is a barista and I am a baker :) We are in Australia on a 1 yr holiday working/visa and will be spending 6 months, at least, working/living in Melbourne
I'm a happy easy going sort, I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle, I LOVE cooking with fresh produce and exercising whenever I get the chance- walking, running, yoga, kayla in the lounge room- you name it I'm down. I'm working full-time in childcare and studying my Diploma of Early childhood by distance, so during the week I'm quite busy and tired and will most likely (try to) spend time on my computer studying. On the weekends I try not to take life too seriously, I like to meet new people/experience new things, eat out, eat in, see friends/family, love live music and enjoy being in good company. In terms of living I am very clean and would benefit housing with similar minded/mature people who respect each other's privacy but enjoy having a yarn (:
I'm a friendly, outgoing and social professional who works in international trade. I am looking to live with a likeminded person or two who enjoys cooking, eating out, exercise, travel and most importantly wine. I'm also tidy :)
I'm 25 from Surf Coast VIC, recently started working in Richmond full time and the commute is becoming a little too much! I've just finished a lease, was living with 2 girls my age for 2 years or so. I'm pretty chilled, easy going but also can be very social at times. I'm clean and respectful of people's space etc! looking for a home not just a room. Interested in sharing with people my age :) also interesting in teaming up to find a place!
Hi there! After spending last two years travelling in Aussie and few Asian countries, I decided to go back to study (nursing), so I'm a full time student and part-time worker (health). I'm very easygoing and tidy Italian guy looking for decent place (6 to 12 months..) and great people to have a chat with if wanted, but mindful of others space. I lived with a vast variety of different people from different countries, I like to respect others beliefs and lifestyles as I like to be respected for what I am. I shared houses for quite long time, I love music (I love buy my records), cinema and cooking, I eat everything, but I'm practically vegetarian, I lived with vegetarians and we often eat and cook together, I generally cook my stuff though. I like wines and try new beers, I find Australian handcrafted one pretty good! At moment I don't have a tremendous budget for living (but I'm always in time with bills) and finding a place cheap or with expenses included would be awesome! If you feel like, say Hi;))

I am moving to Melbourne to start a dream job working at a group of hospitals. I am a numbers nerd who works in Analytics, and have done for the past 4 years. I've been renting share houses for 7 years throughout Sydney and after travelling Europe for 3 months, I am very excited to do so again in Melbourne. I like music anything from Hendrix to De la Soul to Ben Sims, would love a place where I can set up a small, but decent hifi sound system (hopefully one I have built myself!). I also like to Ski and recently developed a taste for cooking. I've been described as an easy housemate and have never been late on rent or a bill!
