Hi, I am a female international postgraduate doing Master of Commerce at ANU. I am easygoing, tidy and considerate, and have shared houses with others before; I thus fully understand the importance of taking care of the property, respecting others' privacy, and getting along with all the housemates.
Hi, I am a 19 year old girl that is seeking a place to live in Canberra for I am attending the University of Canberra. I have just returned home from living in the United States of America for a year and am getting ready to move and begin my first year of Uni. I am currently looking for casual employment in the Canberra region. I believe that I am a trustworthy, respectable and reliable person. I believe my self to be a realativly clean and tidy person. I love to meet new people and to be out and about but I also love a little time to myself to sit, relax and read. I also love to cook and listen to music. I am a fun but reliable person and I would love to be able to find a place to live. I am happy to be flexible with my moving date. Thankyou for your time!
Clean tidy considerate of people and their space. Have a young family me my wife and and 2 yr old son. We are looking for short stay as we are new to Canberra. We are Vegetarian and we are happy to be with people who try different cuisines. Love movies and exploring places.
Looking to move mid-late February into either a share house or apply for a 2 or 3 bedroom place and start one up. Ideally have my own bathroom but not essential. Not looking to spend more than $180-200. Please message me with any rooms you have going or would be interested in teaming up.
My name is Vivienne and I have recently moved to Canberra from Sydney- I'm looking for a nice place to wind down after work that is also relatively close to shops! I like food, TV, dogs and being active (sometimes).
Hello! I am 22 years old and am moving over to Canberra from Perth in January 2017. I studied environmental science and geography and am going over to Canberra to start a grad job. I am looking for a place that is clean and tidy with a mix of social and solitude vibes. I went on exchange during uni and did the crazy social (not so tidy) house which I'm not looking for again - I'd just love to find something more clean and chilled out with house mates who'd like to have a drink/chat every now and again but where I can retire to my room and binge watch Netflix. Send me a message if you'd like to know anything more about me :)
G'day. Have lived alone for the past 8 months and now looking to move in with flatmate(s). Work full time & love my career. Like to ride motorcycles, and keep fairly active on weekends. Home most arvo's during the week & like to cook, specially for others! Flick me a message if you want to know anymore! Cheers, Dan
Hey I'm Dylan, a Canberra native in my mid-20s about to start a grad job with the Department of Health and looking to move a little closer to work. The job is a full-time position starting early February. Ideally I'd like to move late January but am very flexible with when this happens. I'm quite active and enjoy riding my bike, going to the gym and playing lots of soccer. I also like reading and playing guitar (or at least pretending I can). I am friendly but also fairly quiet. I enjoy socialising and quiet time in equal measures; I'm always up for a chat but also respectful of personal space. I like to be out and about but also enjoy a slow night in and am keen to try new things. Clean, considerate and chilled (the three Cs) and looking for a place with people who have similar values.
My name is Laura Andreazza. I have just received a primary teaching position at a Primary School starting January 23rd (2017) and therefore I will be moving back to Canberra. I am a 27 year old, single, female. I am a friendly and an easy going person who enjoys socialising wih house mates and other friends. I am also clean and tidy and respect the privacy of others. My hobbies include going for runs, watching movies and playing games. I am looking for an unfurnished room that will fit a king sized bed and desk.
I'm currently a nanny so I believe I have the ability to keep a house clean, as it's basically my current job! I'm friendly and easy going but I also like my personal space.
I'm a considerate housemate that keeps mostly to herself but likes to hang out as well. I enjoy baking when I can find the time. I enjoy historical dramas and pop culture sci-fi.
Hello! I am moving to Canberra to start work with the Australian public service. I have previously worked for a children's charity and before that I studied history at university. My mum is Australian but I have always lived in the UK so it is a really exciting change for me! I'm looking forward to exploring the city. I enjoy cooking, sports, going to galleries, and watching films. I'm looking for a friendly house that I can use as a base to get to know Canberra. I don't smoke, like to keep my room tidy, and would enjoy living in a relaxed and friendly house.
Love reading, animals, basketball, swimming, the odd social drink, movie nights and baking. Looking for easy going people to live with. Will be studying and working part time. $150 or a little bit more providing utilities are included.

Hiya! :) I'm looking for a room to rent pretty well anywhere in Canberra :) Im a fun, happy bubbly human, I also love my games, I'm a massive World of Warcraft lover haha, but also enjoy other games aswell even when it comes down to some board games and such. I also work as a bar tender at the basement which is much fun. I am a very clean respectful person, I do enjoy doing my own thing, but I also enjoy having The occasional movie nights or a few beverages with the roomies. I do also have 2 dogs named Carlin and Daxter, super well behaved, toilet trained and extremely loveable :) If you have any other questions at all shoot me a message :)
Hey! I'm Lachie :) I'm an easy going, 22 year old uni student studying Environmental Science. I am just trying to live the most fulfilling life that I possibly can. I love staying fit and active by riding my bike, practicing yoga and getting over to the coast for an occasional surf.
I am a neat and tidy professional male. I commute to work by bus or by bike, so I don't need car space. I enjoy boardgames and red wine I otherwise tend to keep to myself. I need short-term accommodation (up to two months) only from January to March 2017. It is 16 January 2017 now and, I would like to find a place within the next week. Please feel free to message me if this will work for you.
(I'll add to this if I think of anything else useful) Also, NBN is a big plus in a place I'm looking for! I am extremely versatile and share many varied interests with many different groups of people so for the most part I get along with everyone. I'm also very clean, organised and enjoy a proactive mindset. I lived for a while in Korea and enjoy cooking very spicy meals! I ride motorbikes (it is also my primary mode of transport) and enjoy gaming, music, my home media server and photography! I also have a HTC Vive, so should you have an interest (and the space) for virtual reality at it's best I'd love to share it! I work for Avanade as an Infrastructure Analyst.
Gday Guys, Originally from Tamworth, moved down to Canberra 2 years ago. I am currently studying a bachelor of Marketing Management at UC, as well as working 25+ hours as a bartender at the Ainsley Football Club. I'm a very proactive person, who enjoys playing Rugby League on the weekend and generally talking or playing most things sport. I'm an easy going individual and very easy to live with, courteous and well spoken. Cheers
Hi future housemates! I am Clare. About Your Place. It must be warm in Winter! (I really feel the cold!) Otherwise I am quite flexible re; house/unit/etc. I would prefer somewhere with nearby access to ACTION buses and within approx 30mins to Uni Canberra (although I am willing to consider most areas ie; Woden). Over the years I have shared with different genders, a variety of age groups, people from other countries and employed/students, so I know the etiquette of house-sharing arrangements with a diversity of people. I would enjoy the occasional ‘group’ meal, chatting with other tenants or being independent depending on the vibe in the property. What I Will Bring. I am seeking a reasonable sized room to place a full set of queen size bedroom furniture. I will also bring with me general furniture which I am happy for other housemates to use. (If you have a dry lock-up shed to place unwanted furniture, that would be ok too.) I also have a lot of great quality kitchen appliances as I like to cook and bake. About Me. I am a Transgender female and have a 'youthful' personality for my age! Although I like to socialise, I am generally quiet at home. I am a tidy person who cleans up after themselves and is respectful of other tenant's privacy. Sports-wise, I like Bikram Yoga, Badminton and Swimming. I'll be studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Canberra next year. There is the possibility that I may work fulltime and study part-time if the perfect job falls my way over the next few months. Although I have lived in Canberra for 10 years, I am currently in Victoria until the end of January. So I would be ready/need to move into a new place from the first weekend of February. I should be back in Canberra from approx 28th Jan for inspections, etc. Get in touch if you think I am a good fit for your place.
I am a clean and tidy person. Respectful and conscientious of others. I don't drink much and am also looking for a quiet house. I loooove dogs, so if you have one, I would fit in easily. I also am always up for a nice conversation over a cuppa.
Easy going, tidy, laid back bloke. Always cautious of other privacy. Always up for a social activity. Have a significant amount of furniture if any is required. But need a work trailer so i require a little extra parking room
Hey! My name is Jacob and I'm a full time student at the University of Canberra studying Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation. I work part-time at Coles in Belconnen Westfield and am looking to move into a share house from my current to meet new people. I'm easy-going and like social interaction with anyone. A year long stay with other students in a share house would be preferable.
Moving to Canberra to study at ANU from Western Sydney. Loves dogs, movies, tv, music, reading, history, travelling, cards and walking. Will look for part time work once I'm settled (been working in office admin for nearly a decade).
Hi, I'm currently a student studying at the ANU and will mostly be out of the house/apartment in the day at uni. I'm pretty sociable and like a chat and movie here and then, but I'm also usually out of the house hanging with friends :) If you need space, I'm also pretty good at keeping to my self. I don't throw parties and do like to have the occasional friends over for a movie or games night, but even then, it's pretty rare (1-2 a week). I've lived in a share house for the last year and it's only due to lease expiring that I need a new place. I don't mind anywhere Northside Canberra as I have a car so I'm pretty flexible with location, but close to the city would be preferable. Hope to hear from you soon!
After living on a small island on the Great Barrier Reef for the last three years I am now preparing to start a Master degree at ANU. I'm all the good things: friendly, tidy, capable of paying rent in a timely manner, don't suffer from night terrors, willing to lovingly guide spiders from the house in a calm manner, etc. I get along with anyone as long as they are not racist, sexist or homophobic. I'm looking to find a happy place with good people to call home for at least the next year.
The sitch: I’m looking to find at least 1 female professional around the same age to start up a new sharehouse. I’m moving as my current landlord rents rooms individually and has chosen a 50yo woman for the other room. Nuf said. I've been lurking on flatmates.com for a while (I'm lazy), and have now decided I might as well really start looking. *I have no urgent leave date, it just made me choose a date. I just have to give my landlord 2 weeks notice. The proposal: I’m hoping to meet someone with similar ideas and a complementary personality. We could rent a 3br house first and then choose a 3rd tenant together. I’m looking for a place in the burbs around Belconnen (Aranda, Macquarie, Page, Evatt etc), though I think Macquarie/Aranda are pretty good as they’re just off Belconnen way if you work in the city. This is completely up for negotiation, though, don’t worry :) I was thinking we could look for a newer house, but really my main concern is space and light as I hate tiny rooms with tiny windows. It’s for this reason I’d prefer the ensuite/master room as they tend to be bigger. Obviously I’d pay more rent. But if the other rooms are big, that’s not a problem. I come with barfridge, biggish TV, coffee table, dryer, kitchen table. I have all my own kitchen stuff and bedroom furniture. I’m totally open to negotiating on what we need to get – couch, big fridge, washing machine etc. Me: INTJ if you put any stock in that. I’m a non-smoker. I like to play videogames (PS4, XBONE – I can definitely buy headphones if you find the noise annoying), read, write, research random crap. I enjoy Reddit, YouTube and Netflix, fashion and makeup, and play ultimate Frisbee. I’m a 2ic in my customer-service based workplace, which I find a bit draining, so I like to chill with a peaceful cup of tea after work. I love discussions about philosophical ideas, politics, any random crap really as long as it’s not small talk haha. I suppose a fellow introvert will find it easier to live with me. That being said, I can be pretty social too - I love a good movie or cards night, or chilling together on mutual days off. I’ve been living in sharehouses for around 6 years with no major dramas, but I’m really looking to make a home and you’re an important part of that. You: Introvert or extrovert, I don’t care at all, as long as you don’t expect energetic conversation for the first hour or so after work. Non-smoker. Not a first-time home leaver (unless you’re an exception to the typical kinda thoughtless housemate those guys make). Just be clean and pay the bills and we’ll get along fine.
I work in the public service. Clean and tidy, good references and pretty quiet. However also like to catch up over a drink, cook dinner, hang out, watch sport, or go hiking. Looking for a sharehouse of people with similar busy schdules who respect each others privacy, but also like to catch up at the end of the day!
Full Time Engineering Student, I'm a clean freak and very organised. I spend a lot of time studying so I will be in my room most of the time. friendly person and I'm the type who always mind his own business I don't get involved in anyone's personal life.
I'm moving to Canberra from a rural town near Mudgee, NSW, in February to study a double degree at ANU. I'm mature, tidy, and relatively quiet, but also more than up for a chat or drinks with anyone sharing a house with me. Also, my partner is joining the Defence Force, but will possibly be staying with me when he is back from deployments or has time off (this wouldn't be often, and if he stayed for any extended period he would pay his share of the rent). I would prefer to live with other girls or couples, but I'm not overly fussed.
Hi, I am Virendra, a Social work student at ACU Canberra. I am very social and fond of cooking and books. I'm a really friendly person who is clean and respectful of housemates. I'm looking for a sharehouse on the inner south side that is close to the bus line. Most importantly I'm looking for a home, a place where the housemates talk and hang out periodically would be great. I'm from India and have lived in Canberra for a year and still have much yet to see and do in this beautiful city. I also enjoy camping, hiking and travel adventures. Send me a message if you think I might be a great fit for your sharehouse. Cheers,
I'm super friendly and easy going. I currently work in a cafe Monday to Friday and like to hangout on the weekends with friends. I have a gorgeous puppy named Charger who is also super friendly. I'm a tidy person who can keep to themselves but also hangout and chat. I really enjoy baking. I'm looking for a new place to live that is more chilled out and less stressful. I'm pretty easygoing regarding bills and rent as long as it is suitable.
Hi, my name's Liska! I'm 20 years old and studying Chinese, German, linguistics and translation at ANU. I've just come back from a year-long exchange at the National Taiwan University and am looking to make Canberra home again. I like to keep things tidy and never leave chores overnight. I listen to as many different kinds of music as possible, play video games, and write. I can be shy at first but having company and and a friendly environment is really important to me. (My move date is pretty flexible. I'm back in Australia permanently from the 19th Jan but would like to be moved in somewhere by the 8th or 9th)
Hi Im a 22 year old male who has moved to Canberra for study Im currently working 2 jobs and looking to move in roughly 10th January but sooner will do if need be. I am enrolled in a bachelor of science staring first term in 2017.
I'm moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate position. I'm friendly and easy-going. I love to cook and like my home kept fairly clean and tidy. Ideally I would like to share a 2-bed 2-bath unit with another non-smoking young professional female. For fun I enjoy relaxing, reading and watching Netflix. I love travelling and I am interested in exploring Canberra and the surrounding areas. Happy to live with pets. Move-in date is flexible as long at it's before 19 February.
What makes me great to live with? I'd hardly be there! I play netball and tennis weekly, I also enjoy watching sports. If I'm not playing or watching sports, my head is normally in a book, swimming or catching up with friends. I like to keep busy and have a good laugh! I also know how to respect people's privacy, keep a clean place, cook and how to talk underwater.
