Originally from the UK. I have been in Melbourne for the better part of 6 years. I work full time in Richmond and study 1 day a week. Im pretty laid back, social, reliable and always keen to have fun. I like a home to be a home, and am not new to the share house dynamic. Love a communal movie/dinner night, going to gigs and will take any opportunity to get out the city for adventures.
Sam and I have just moved to Melbourne from New Zealand and we are excited to make the most of this awesome city by finding a lovely house/apartment to call home! We love keeping active, being outdoors, catching up with friends and cooking delicious meals/eating out. We will both be work full-time and enjoy travelling whenever possible. We are both very houseproud and keep spaces clean and clutter-free. We're both pretty social but enjoy downtime watching movies, reading or getting in some yoga! Get in touch if you want us to be your new housemates.
Hey there! Looking for a place to live for the next 4-12 months. I am keen on seeing different areas of Melbourne so don't mind if it is only a shorter-term lease. My selling points: often out of the house, will contribute indoor plants and wafts of delicious food down the hallway. Will happily keep to myself or have a chat. Have lived in many share houses around the world so know the drill. I am clean (very keen on the idea of a cleaning schedule) and considerate of space (will clean up my stuff when finished in communal spaces, and will try to use the kitchen when no ones else is). Me: - I have just finished up a Sociological research project on dating apps and gender norms (very interesting) and am currently seeking a social-science research position for 2019, considering a PhD for the year after. I also volunteer at an organisation advocacing for more humane policy for people seeking asylum in Australia. - I play field hockey and generally like to be active. - Typical millennial who likes travel and food. - Non-typical millennial who doesn't like social media. What I'm looking for in my housemates: Don't have too many expectations but definitely looking for being with shared values around being eco-conscious and open-minded and, potentially most importantly, I am keen on housemates who like to communicate when they have issues (I will do the same) so we can discuss, compromise and continue on with a happy and sustainable housemate relationship. What I'm looking for in my new dwelling: ~10min walk to a train station (or tram directly into the city). Anywhere in the South-East or Eastern suburbs. Medium-to-lots of natural light.
I am a 31 year old Sydney born UI Designer moved to Melbourne and looking for housemates! I'm well accustomed to living independently. A bed, my computer desk and speakers are the only things coming with me. My job is stable and I'm looking for something moderately short term (3-6 months). I work standard hours usually in Melbourne CBD, and occasionally from home. I am a reliable, well mannered and respectable guy. I verge on the OCD side of cleanliness for my own space, but can be more tolerant when it comes to shared spaces if needed. I love pets but don't have any of my own. If you like chilling out to music in the evenings we'll get along swimmingly. If I'm not socialising, I'm usually reading or weight lifting. Ideally I would move sometime in February.
Well grounded irish female moving from Perth to Melbourne for a new job and seeking a nice safe and modern rental for myself or a room in a home that is quiet. I am a Consultant, who leads a quiet life but has a bubbly and outgoing personality. Non smoker/drinker/drug taker/partier. Into health and fitness, meditating, self development, reading, learning new things (currently learning to dj as a hobby), making natural products. I am respectful of others and not looking for a housemate to entertain me or vice versa. Clean and tidy and pays rent & bills on time. Looking for a place to myself or to share with one other person maximum, someone who is like minded, leads a quite life and is respectful of another persons quiet time and space (no couples please). Move date will be mid January 2019.
Hi! I'm making the move to Melbourne from Adelaide next year to start working in the CBD as a grad economist and embracing that 9-5 life. I have experience living in a share house and can confirm I do my dishes, keep common areas tidy, and will close my door if my room becomes a mess so you don't need to look at it. Would love to have more of a home than a house vibe. I'm always up for a drink or four but not really interested in a party house. I don't know that many people in Melbourne so I'm really looking forward to moving in somewhere where I can be friends with my housemates and get out and about. Bonus points if you'll play board games with me. Flexible with location as long as close to public transport and within half an hour from the city. Looking to move sometime in early-mid January!
I am looking for a private, unfurnished room or someone interested in teaming up to move into- South Yarra, Richmond, Windsor and surrounding suburbs. -up to $250 (max) -Must have a parking space (either on street permit or off street). -would prefer own bathroom or only sharing with one other (but not a must) ABOUT ME: I am 24 and work for a pharmaceutical company, my job requires travelling so I won't be around all the time. I like keeping active and am a bit of a yogi, but I also enjoy a good donut or five. Partial to a good cheese and wine night or a relaxed night in watching Netflix or reading. Looking for a house where the housemates enjoy spending time together, but of course also respectful of people's privacy and schedules. I'm neat and tidy and hope you are too. I have lived in share houses for the past five years. My preference is to team up with someone and create a new sharehouse, as I have all the main appliances (fridge/washing machine/TV/vacuum etc.)
I've spent the last 9 years traveling all over the world for both work and for fun. I'm originally from Michigan but left at the ripe old age of 21. A short list of who I am: I've been told by other nationalites that I'm not 'loud' like American's are often known to be, I'm clean, do regular exercise, love to read and write, dance whenever possible (wearing headphones of course), and roller-skate (quads, not blades). I'm a genuine people person, but also really, really cherish my 'me time’ especially at home, and in return have no intention of disrupting yours. I will absolutely be working full-time and always keep busy in other after-work activities. I'm only interested in living with other busy professionals and *non-partiers*. I am a non-drinker and a non-smoker, but a regular dose of dancing keeps me young and quite happy. During my Working Holiday Visa I will be looking to both enhance my professional life (Team Building and Leadership Training) as well as continue with a few odd jobs I do as freelance (writing, coaching, voice-overs). My main goal is to learn to surf, catch some festivals, all the usual things you want to do when you turn 30. Currently I have only requested a 4 month stay in this area as I search for the right [Professional] job across Australia, where ever that may take me. I have a sister that lives in Melbourne, which is why I'm starting my trip there. :) Thank you for your time and interest. My best always, Laura
Hi everyone ! I am a graphic designer, I usually share an apartment with other people. I am sociable & very clean. I appreciate a glass of red wine and talking over a good meal but also enjoy being by myself. For my criteria, I'd like to have a private full furnished room with my own bathroom. All this for 270 maximum per weekend all included. Looking forward to hearing from you, Cheers, Léa
Hey (hopefully) new housemates! I’m a 20-something year-old friendly guy with a steady paycheck and great experiences in some great sharehouses. I’m moving out of home (again) after (finally) finishing my final year of university - looking to make new friends as well as housemates. Benefits of living with me - quality cook, very domesticated, clean guy but not a cleanliness crackpot, keen on big chats over wines/tea and big fan of the occasional boogie/karaoke/trivia session. Ask me around for a chat any time!
Hi everyone, my name is Matt and I am professional who works full time. Recently I have also started my own IT business in Melbourne. So basically I work all weekdays, however I like to relax on weekends. I do not smoke. I am a respectful and I can keep the place clean. I am a lacrosse player and huge soccer fan. Finding a single room to rent seems to be very hard. Thats why I would like to rent a whole flat with two bedrooms and split the costs. I am looking for a flat in SOUTHBANK and my budget is around $300. It would be nice to find someone with similar budget and then we can rent together flat with two bedrooms. I am also willing to team up with a couple. We could talk how to split the rent fairly later on. Unfortunately most of the flats come unfurnished, however I am willing to buy whats needed. If you would like to buy furniture, thats great, if not we can try our look finding furnished place. I am interested in renting flat for a long period of time (min. 6 months).

Hey Guys, I am moving to Inner Melbs for work in mid-Jan. I work as a physio in Richmond and have a tonne of share house experience. I am clean and quiet and pay my bills on time. I enjoy exercise, cooking and the occasional shared dinner with my housemates! I also enjoy kitchen chats and Archer or Firefly TV marathons. Please hit me up to chat further about arranging a viewing!
Hi, I'm Miriam! I'm travelling to Melbourne for university with two roommates (we're in our early 20's, two girls and a guy) and a cat and we need a flexible arrangement while we finalise our own apartment. We'd prefer a place with two rooms available. We are all friendly and respectful, and want to make a good start in Melbourne! As we're not sure how long exactly we need to stay, we'd make sure to find someone to switch out with us if needed. Thank you so much for reading and considering us :-)
I'm an expat from Canada that fell in love with Australia two years ago and hasn't left since! I currently work full time as a venue manager for Maniax Melbourne, so if you're ever looking for a free axe throwing adventure, I'm your girl. I used to be a fitness instructor at a trampoline park, so I'm a gym junkie with a pancake obsession (maple syrup goes on EVERYTHING), as well as a home owner myself so I know how important it is to be a great tenant and housemate. Bonus: I have a Costco membership and a horrendous drunk baking habit so you can finally buy your toilet paper in bulk, and munch on whatever goodies I create over the weekends!
We are an easy-going couple from the Netherlands and Wales. Been living in Sydney for the past few months and looking for a place to live in Melbourne. We are open to sharing a house as long as we have our own room, and the roommates are right! Dave works as a pool-lifeguard and Dorine works in either hospitality or office. We have our little station wagon (Susan) and therefore need a parking space on or near the property. If it is a garage, it need to be min height of 2.1 m. As we are here on a working holiday visa, we don't own any big furniture, so the place needs to be furnished. Looking forward to finding the perfect little spot in Melbourne!
We are an easy-going couple from the Netherlands and Wales. Been living in Sydney for the past few months and looking for a place to live in Melbourne. We prefer to have our own little space but are willing to team up with the right people! Place must be furnished and must have car space available.
We are a very calm, clean and easygoing couple, we do not smoke or have any addiction (a wine or beer sometimes is good). We are not interested in many parties (maybe a dinner, a movie night or talking about music, travelling and these stuffs) since we want to study and work and learn everything about Australia :)
Hey guys, I am a 21 year old guy from England looking for a place as soon as possible. Been in Melbourne for the last year and absolutely love it here. I am looking to find flat mates that can ultimately turn into good friends but also look to keep it low key during the week. I work full time in Insurance sales so weekdays for me are laid back after work. On weekends I do enjoy a drink with my mates, love most sports but also a good Netflix series does it for me too. Hope to meet some of you guys soon. Cheers, James
Ian is 27, from Scotland and has been in Australia since February 2017. He is a roof tiler, works full time and has a job lined up for when we arrive! Gabby is 29, has just graduated nursing and has accepted a position at a hospital to start in early February next year. Originally from Melbourne but has been living on the Sunshine Coast since March 2017 for a little break and to study. We also have a little cat called Pippa, who is very friendly, cuddly and quiet. She will probably head butt you for pats, but other then that, she's pretty chill. (She will for sure stalk you if you're eating ham though) She’s already in Melbs with family at the moment but I really would like to get her back ASAP if it suits the house we move into. We are both very easy to live with, very tidy and aware that we are sharing a space with other people and to be respectful of that. We also get down with wine and socialising but just not every weekend anymore ... you know .. saving and that. We are moving between the 6th-12th of January. PS. I tried to upload a photo of the two of us but it cropped me out so you have a lovely close up of Ian and it won't let me change it lol. Apparently, it likes him more than me.
Hey, I’m Ben! Looking to move in somewhere a little closer to the city to align with a recent office re-location. I’m a pretty standard 25 year old during the week, working as an Account Coordinator at Nike (discount for dayssss). I enjoy getting around a few beers in the company of good music and better people at the week’s end.
I'm a science and maths teacher that will be working at a school in Prahran next year. I'm a clean and considerate person and generally won't spend too much time at home on weekends. I love to spend my spare time amongst the outdoors or with friends. I love a wine and a boogie but also don't mind spending the night in with a block of chocolate and face mask. Accessibility to Prahran by public transport is a must as the school has no parking. I would prefer to live in a mixed or female house and unfortunately, I'm unable to live with smokers or cats.
Hi, I'm going to melbourne for about 9 months for an internship! I come from the netherlands and currently live with 3 other flatmates. I like to clean up after myself and keep things tidy. Am a social person so always in for a chat, but depending on the dynamic can also keep to myself.
