I'm a 25 year old PhD student at unimelb looking for something closer to uni so I can focus on my passion for sleeping in. The PhD money isn't a lot but it's more than enough to cover the bills and its secure for the next three years. I like live music, singing and dancing (objectively bad at both), cocktails, board games, beer, film and tv, naps, and hummus. The main thing I'm looking for is cool, laid back housemates that I can get along with, have a beer or three and hang out with, share the occasional meal etc. I like to keep to myself and do my own thing sometimes but generally I love being social, although I'm typically pretty quiet and introverted until you get to know me. Also I'm hella gay. (That's a lie I'm just regular gay). Aside from my bedroom furniture I could also bring (or not bring) a couch, table and chairs, and a tumble dryer that's like 6 star energy efficiency so it's pretty cheap to run.
Hey guys! I'm looking to move out with some housies and hopefully save some money for the future. I'm 27 years old and working full time as an Estimator for a construction company. I'm happy to contribute around the house with the washing, cleaning dishes etc and i'm really easy going. Looking for a place where I can meet new people and have a good time. I enjoy outdoor activities on the weekend whether its going to the beach, playing sports or having a few drinks and relaxing. Have a little bit of furniture but i'm open to furnished places as it would be convenient. I also have a car so i'd need a car spot.
I am good at living in other people's houses, I have done it for many years. I am very respectful, clean and tidy and I always pay rent on time. I love to have a chat but is both studying and working full time so I am quite busy. I like to keep myself occupied with all sort of different things like fitness, hiking, cooking healthy meals, reading, climbing and spending time with my friends. I am not looking for a party house. I love animals but have none of my own. I am a nonsmoker and able to move in 19th of January!
Hi! I'll be studying Architecture in Melbourne for half a year, and thus searching for a room in this period :) I come from The Netherlands, but have an Asian face since my parents are both Chinese. Because of this, I am able to speak Dutch, Chinese and English! I am a tidy person (unless there is some sick deadline coming up) and I am always up for a convo :) I am sadly not into sports at all, but I love to take walks or ride my longboard (which I will not bring with me unfortunately). I do love being creative and making things (for myself and others). I really enjoy cooking too! Hopefully you see me as a fun person to live with after this info!
Hey all! I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry)/Diploma in Languages (French) at the University of Melbourne. I'm generally a super motivated person and I love to keep busy, but believe that at the end of a long day the best thing to do is cook dinner with a glass of wine in hand (no really, I love to cook!). I can be a little social, but also appreciate my own time to myself. I think that it's really important to keep shared spaces and common areas clean and tidy. I also have a hard time tolerating smokers. Ideally, I'd like a roommate who I can get along with nicely and relate to. Someone studying or working as a young professional would be brilliant. If you like to get to know more about me, let's go for a drink!
I'm 22 with one degree complete and another to begin in Feb 2017. I currently work full time in Richmond and will be going part time in 2018 while studying full time at ACU. I play sport and like to cook. I'm clean, hygienic and don't smoke. I mostly spend my time playing hockey, at a pub or watching the football. Looking to move into a place early to mid January 2018.
Hi, I am Billy from Laos. Yes, I am Asian :) From March 2018, I am planning to study at Swinburne University of Technology for 2 years and I am looking for a place to stay. I am an easygoing person. Open for discussion :) I am looking to hearing from you, a future roommate.
Hi I’m Steph, I’m 26 and a working professional. I work in Fitzroy for Aesop so I will be bringing home lots of skin care. I am super friendly, tidy and always up for a chat and a catch up after work. I am looking to move in asap, so if you think I’m a great fit for your home, send me a message! Thanks
I am a fun chick that likes to keep things tidy and am easy to get along with. I stay pretty quiet during the working week but love to get out and socialise on weekends. I work full time in marketing for a sport/entertainment organisation and hence seek to move closer to my work. I have grown up in the bayside suburbs but feel it's now time to leave the nest and enjoy the inner suburb life. I am looking to find a room in a friendly house with like minded people, preferably in their 20s with easy transport links.
I'm a full-time female professional who is super easy to live with, up for having friends over but not looking for a party house. Up for the occasional night out, but I also enjoy staying in and netflixing. Respectful of people's belongings and space. Just looking for like-minded individuals :)
Hi, we are a couple from Utrecht (Netherlands). We are traveling to Melbourne because we heard its great city with lots of art and culture. Our plan is to stay in Melbourne for three months, to get to know the city and the people who live in it. Finding out how it's like to live in a complete different place. Eelke is a filmmaker and part time barista. Milou works at a car sharing startup.
Hey all, A little about me. I am 23 yo from the United States and here on a working holiday visa. I am currently working in a research lab at Melb Uni and looking to get a part time hospo job in order to save up for a course (and to extend my visa-woo). I am looking for an abode with a cosy and welcoming vibe that values quiet and loud nights alike. I am share house trained and keep common spaces tidy....tidy, not obsessively clean. Doing the dishes while bumping tunes is my jam and I love a good Sunday brunch cook up to recover from a social weekend, or simply because brunch is the best meal of the day. I love going to gigs and I am always down for a drink or boogie, even when I say I am not. I enjoy a good run, rock climb and will try to make it to the beach whenever possible for a cheeky surf. Huge fan of ice cream, family meals, board games and a chats over wine, beer or non alcoholic bev of your choosing. Please feel free to reach out if you think I would be a good fit! I will return from Christmas holidays mid January so ideally will be looking for a place then but am flexible. Cheers! Liv
I've recently moved over with work from New Zealand and looking for somewhere to move into in mid January. I am a clean and tidy person and love a good chat and laugh over a few wines. I would like to live somewhere where the flat mates are social and do some things together, but also get some personal time for balance. Hoping to find some people who are also tidy and likeminded to live with!
We are a couple in our early twenties moving to Melbourne at the end of January 2018. Mitch is starting a new job in construction management and my partner studies law. We're both friendly, clean people who are happy to keep to ourselves but also enjoy getting to know our fellow housemates. We've have decided to complicate our lives and go on a holiday and will be back on the 20th of Jan so we need to move in somewhere between then and the start of February. We like to think we're relatively mature for our age. Definitely interested in having a few drinks on the weekend but have predominantly outgrown the party lifestyle. Bonus is that we have very few friends in Melbourne so wont be stealing the Saturday night pre drinks slot! Mitch will be working full time mon-fri and probably out and about socialising and playing sport in his free time. Looking to get back into football, cycling and general fitness. Life mission is to make the perfect pizza dough, still working on it but getting closer every time. Anna will probably be doing the opposite, namely watching the flix or reading a book and sinking some red. I also come with as many plants as you will allow me to have. I'll be attempting to study a couple topics in my third year of law long distance. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, we're happy to oblige! Also if the move date is a little later than ideal but you think we'd make a good match don't hesitate to reach out and see if we can work something out.
Hi! I'm originally from India, but will be moving to Melbourne in Feb 2018 for a Masters program at the University of Melbourne. I'm tidy, respectful and reliable with payments. I am pretty social and would love to live in a house where I can hang out with my housemates. I enjoy soccer, gaming, binge-watching TV series and will always have time for a beer or two. I'm looking for a place preferably within a 8 mile radius from Unimelb.
Easy going and quiet. On a WHV. Christia is a designer, love nature, love reading and a vegetarian. Christina loves to sing, interact with people, nature. At times we love our alone time but in general we are very friendly, kind, clean and tidy.
Hi There! I am moving down from QLD for work in January and hoping to find a great place to live! I tend to be out of the house a lot but love a nice space to live in and a good chat over dinner/wine with housemates when everyone is around. Feel free to message for any more info :)
Hi there My name is Lucas, I'm a 29yo guy from Chile. I've been in Australia for almost two years, and right now I'm looking for a private room to stay 5 months. I'm very responsible, reliable, easy going and drama free guy . I'm a full time worker(6 days a week) and I study 2 days a week and I go to the gym almost every day so I get home usually after 9pm. I keep a busy schedule. I'm very clean and tidy =)
Just seeing what is about for now! Looking to possibly move in mid Jan to Feb. Currently in Parkville however housemate has potential boyfriend moving in and apartment is extremely small so time to spread wings. Would prefer to live with just one other person, unless it was an actual house rather then an apartment (would loveee to be in a house again!) I work full-time right in the CBD so transport and convenience is extremely important. Originally from the country so easy going! Also lived out of home for 10 years so all over this roommate business! I can't provide furniture other then my bedroom stuff and I would need somewhere to park my car, street is fine as long as something is available! Im active (gym, netball) and fairly social, however not at all a party animal! Appreciate my own space but also love a good relationship with my roomie as no-one wants that lonely home life! If you think you have something potentially coming up which sounds like it fits please don't hesitate to contact me :)
I'm easy going, love my fitness and going out on weekends. Ideally looking to live with like minded people within my age bracket. Looking for a place reasonably modern with space for movement.
Hi there! My name is Gwen and I'm a 23 year old student looking for a place to live in the inner Western suburbs. I'm a relatively social person and a little bit of a night owl, but I'm also mindful of others schedules and tend to be quiet in the late hours (headphones exist for a reason). I'm studying Professional and Creative Writing at Deakin University, so I hope to get an internship in the next coming months while also working on my blog. While I don't have any of my own to bring with me, I adore animals and their presence in the home. I'm an adequate cook, but I must admit my strength lies in baking and cleaning up after the cooking. I tend to bake as gifts for friends and always make more than enough cookies/scones/whatever I was craving at the time for myself and others I'm living with. If you've got a request/dietary requirement, I'd be happy to try it out in my recipes. Routine is important for a clear mind, so it's vital that cleaning, keeping tidy and doing my own chores is a consistent weekly schedule, although I'm happy to compromise depending on others work hours. I don't mind the occasional glass of red as well as the odd night out, but of a general evening, you can find me typing away on my laptop or binging on Netflix.
Chilled out British guy looking to live in a social, easy-going house - I'm super clean and respect privacy, though also am down for a glass of wine or two in the evenings! Interests include travelling, politics, history, cycling and much more besides!
