Respectful of other peoples space, and I clean up after myself. Emotionally intelligent, and good communicator have lived in share houses for many years and not suffering from any mental illness. I'm flexible on the move date. I would prefer a maturer age share house, with reasonably quite people. Seeking a share house where the place is kept relatively clean.
Hi, I'm a 21 year old female studying first year engineering at ANU. I'm moving to Canberra from Far North Queensland. I'm an easygoing, friendly and tidy person. I love reading, the outdoors, animals, and nice cups of tea. I'm looking for a private room to rent in North Canberra for under $300 a week (a stretch I know), I'm flexible on sharing bathrooms and require parking (on-street is fine). I would ideally like to be within riding distance of ANU. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
I'm a recent graduate from ANU in Law and Commerce. I work full-time as an Assistant Brewer for Capital Brewing Co. In my free time I like to play soccer as well as catch up with friends over a coffee or beer! I'm looking for a place with friendly people who like hanging out together. Given my full-time work, I'd prefer a household that isn't too noisy late at night :)
(Moving date is flexible) Hi! I'm Liska, I'm a tidy Honours student studying Chinese translation at ANU. I'm looking for a relaxed, friendly household in the inner north. I'm language and history-obsessed, love all pets, consume music voraciously, sew patches, play video games and make really good margaritas. Starting to get into gardening. I also write fiction and build fantasy worlds for fun and pay. Would be open to cooking together! (although I'm vegetarian) Happy to work within organised cleaning/chore rosters etc I head up to Newcastle sometimes to visit my family and girlfriend. She also likes to visit me too now and then so I'm looking for somewhere where she'd be welcome to stay in my room. Let me know if your place sounds like a match!
Hi my name is Alex! I am 23 years old, from Sydney, and have lived in Canberra for 2 years. I previously lived in Dublin for three years. I work four days a week as an administrator at ANU, and am doing a full time PhD at the ANU School of Public Policy. My housemate and his girlfriend are moving away in early March so I am looking for somewhere new! I have lived in three share houses in the past and have always had a great time. I love cats and dogs and am a clean and relaxed housemate. Social or quiet housemates would be ideal for me! On weekends I like to trip around NSW (and know all the best places to go :P) or have to study at the National Archives.
Hi, my name's Tamim. I'm 22 from Sydney and I'm moving to Canberra for a full time work. I'm a clean and organised person who likes to live a healthy lifestyle. I'm looking for a room (preferably furnished) near the CBD for around 150-200 per week. In my spare time I like to talk to people over a couple of drinks and watch/play sports especially cricket. I'm looking for people who are also working, are clean, easygoing and would be open to grabbing a drink or some food every now and then :)
I'm originally from Brisbane and am moving to Canberra to undertake my Masters at ANU. I'm a chill and friendly person, and love to socialise but I'm also respectful of the space and privacy of others. I'm looking for a room in a share house with some friendly people for a minimum of 6 months, ideally a year. So if you're looking for someone who's tidy, great at telling lame jokes, and loves weird memes, then I'm your gal
Hey everyone! I'm coming down for 6 months to study IT at UC. My previous arrangements just cancelled on me, so now I'm left more or less stranded! I have experience living in shared accommodation for the past two years with a large number of other housemates. I am excellent at staying tidy and would prefer housemates who keep areas clean. I would like to move in ASAP I'm a fun, laid back dude who'd be keen on getting to know new people. On my off time, I enjoy working out, surfing, bouldering, gaming, and all round relaxing. Whilst I enjoy socialising, I am an avid believer of everybody needing their own space and downtime. I'd like fellow flatmates who are clean, sociable, and most importantly, good people. Open to moving into existing sharehouses or teaming up and setting up a new home. Unfortunately I'm allergic to all pets known to man except reptiles and fish apparently.
I’m an agricultural graduate from the university of Adelaide. I’m moving to Canberra from SA to start my new position as a full time horticulturalist in the middle of February. I’m an easygoing, clean and fitness person, I like to get everything well organised. Also I’ve been sharing accommodations with people from different cultural backgrounds for many years. I’m looking for a sharing accommodation to make some local friends to hangout with and help me to discover Canberra :)
Hello - My name is chris. I’m 38 - single - gay and very connected to the community back in Melb. A journalist by trade by currently in the process of moving to Canberra to work for a pretty exciting start up. I’m quiet, will travel for work at least once a week and work a lot so won’t be in ontop if anyone. Getting into the gym a bit and pretty social guy. Yet also really respectful of space and boundaries. Let me know if you have any questions. Flexible with where I live as have a car just out the suburbs that I know down!
I am a deferred language student from the ANU working full time to save money. I bake sourdough bread, play guitar, and try my best to be environmentally friendly! I am very friendly and respectful; would love to get to know and hang out with my housemates but also value time and space to myself.
Hi, I'm a research scientist who enjoys playing sports and being out in nature. I’m friendly, respectful, tidy and reliable. Please message me if you'd like to team up or if you have a room available.
Hello I'm Jem! I'm 23 currently trying to make a move away from my hometown and begin a body piercing career. I'm quiet, honest, easy to talk to and very respectful. I also absolutely love meeting new people! I have full time work where I am now and have located many suitable jobs in the Canberra area! I have a friendly calm 6 y.o cat who does his own thing, has never attacked scratched or bitten anyone ever, however he does not get along with other animals. I know how to take care of myself and how to take care of a home, I have lived by myself for a year and out of home since I was 17, I am very clean and tidy and always willing to chip in with anything that needs to be done. I enjoy creative things, I love gardening reading writing and drawing but also love to binge watch stan and Netflix or weird documentaries with a cheeky glass of wine. I like cooking I don't know if I would call myself a good cook but I do make a killer potato bake I promise you that! I will very rarely have a cigarette maybe once a week but never in my life have i smoked inside a house and I never will, I'm on my way to completely stopping. I don't party I just want a nice place to call my own so i can work hard. I have all my own furniture and appliances so unfurnished is fine or I'm happy to bring along anything that might be needed. Due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances I am now unable to move from my hometown until mid-late Feb.
Hi! I'm a young guy who works pretty much every day at the moment, I have two regular jobs so rent won't be an issue. When I have time off I always love catching a good movie or just hanging out with friends or family. I'm quite a social person looking for some house mates to get along with and have a good time.
I work full time as a technical support engineer, and will be working from Canberra which is why I'm looking for accommodation here! I am originally from Sweden (but an Aus citizen), so this will be the first time I'm permanently living in Australia. In my free time I play quite a bit of video games but I also really enjoy going out and seeing and exploring new things, which I hope I'll be doing quite a bit of! I'm looking for a place where I'll be able to stay for a longer amount of time, as I'd like to be able to live relatively steady while I have a job. I really am not too fussed about how many people I live with or what they do, as long as they don't smoke inside. I'd also be fine living with any type of pet. As I'm not actually arriving to Australia until March 5th, meeting me before to see who/what I am might be difficult. However, I am totally down to Skype or whatever is suitable beforehand so that that neither of us have to go in blind.
Hi there! I am pretty quiet, tidy, I have plenty of hobbies and I'll stay out of your hair. That said, I am friendly and I love board games and card games. I like to garden and paint, and procrastinate doing my assignments by cleaning. I find steady work in childcare and am studying to be a teacher. If you need someone to give you henna tattoos or proofread your work, I'm your girl. I know three dogs sounds like a lot, but they are basically canine cats and sleep about 18 hours a day. They are exceptionally low maintenance and cuddly, and I clean up after them. Looking for some form of accomodation in Canberra that doesn't mind pugs and has a backyard :)
I'm down to earth and like to learn from the people around me. I need a bit of solitude from time to time, but also make an effort to be a supportive housemate. The outdoors, exercise, and conversations over coffee are some of the things that I enjoy most. I'm a small business owner looking to knuckle down for the year ahead. I'm looking to either team up with one or two others to find a house to rent, or move into an existing share house. If you think we'd get along as housemates, please get in touch.
Hey, I'm Kat :) I'm 33 and am relocating to Canberra from Brisbane for work in early to mid-February so am looking for a room (preferably with own bathroom and undercover/off street parking) within fairly easy walking or riding distance to the city. Good public transport nearby would be a plus, too. I’ve been told the inner north or around Kingston would be a good fit. I’ll be arriving in Canberra the weekend of Feb 9th, and looking to find somewhere within the following couple of weeks. I don't have a have a lot of stuff (mostly just bedroom things), so if you're pretty well set up and just have an unfurnished bedroom, then that would be ideal! I'd prefer to share with just one or two others and I'm not too fussed about your age or gender, but I'm keen for a quiet and relaxed home life. I think I'm a pretty decent housemate - I won't use up all the hot water, am energy-conscious, will drive you to/collect you from the airport, and I like things clean and tidy (doing other people’s dishes is my love language). I've never paid a bill late in my life, and will treat your space and things with respect. I’m a pretty early riser and do the normal work and gym thing during the week. I enjoy the outdoors, and will be looking to get involved with some kind of social sport (currently playing mixed touch, fairly poorly but with great enthusiasm, in Brissie). Personality-wise, I am an introvert and do need space and quiet to recharge. This doesn't mean I'm a room hermit, but rather that I am a pro at companionable silence and would prefer to have our home be a sanctuary, with most socialising happening elsewhere. That said, I am friendly, and more than happy to lend an ear if you want to unload about something or just crave a chat, and I'd like it if we did stuff together sometimes (hit the movies, have a drink, watch TV, go on a hike, whatever). Basically, I think it’s important we like one another! I'm left-leaning, open-minded and non-judgemental, and I come equipped with a sarcastic sense of humour. I'm interested in science (I have a degree in Geology), and being annoyed about politics and the state of the environment/humanity in general but also not doing a lot about it. I also enjoy art (though I know nothing about it), am getting back into reading (after having the love of it bludgeoned out of me by the aforementioned degree), adore people watching, philosophical thought experiments (okay, probs only one of these, but still), music, and keeping fit. If I sound like I might be your kind of people, hit me up and let's see if we mesh :)
I'm from Melbourne, have been used to living away from home for periods of time. I will be beginning full-time work in February at the Australian Building Codes Board (APS 1 yr cadetship). I am neat and tidy, non-smoker. Enjoy casual sports, travelling, reading and netflix. Looking for a room for ~ 1 year
Just moved to Canberra from Perth, looking for a place to stay while I complete my Masters in Economics at ANU. I'm a friendly, clean and respectful guy looking for a house with a good mix of social and private space. Also working as a lifeguard to pay the bills while I study.
Moving to Canberra to start full-time work as part of the APS. Avid photographer, reader, and also looking to get into woodworking in my spare time. Always happy to chat and socialise, but also appreciate and need alone time. I am a very neat and clean person, but also desperately learning how to cook: any help would be appreciated!
