I'm moving back to Canberra for work after 9 months in Sydney. I'll be working in Deakin Mon-Fri. I can cook, I can clean and I like wine. I enjoy living in a busy house - I'm quite social. On weekends I'll be out and about or travelling to visit friends. Essential - walking distance to decent coffee :) Would prefer close to the city, don't mind North or South. I love animals so a pet would be amazing!
Hi guys! I'm Phoebe and I am on the search for somewhere new to live as I just got a new job with a children's charity and just moved down to the ACT. I am 25, pretty easygoing and have been living in share houses for the last 5 years so know the drill pretty well. I am clean, social but like my privacy sometimes and respect others and lead a (mostly) healthy life minus the few blocks of chocolate and glasses of wine I enjoy. I am pretty quite during the week with work etc but enjoy the weekends to go out on walks, socialise (brunch is by far the best meal of the day) and make the most of where I live and also to enjoy going out for a drink or two here or there. I am also new to Canberra so am looking for a place thats more a home and where I can make friends etc rather than just somewhere to sleep at. Also have a flexible move date!
My name is Rachel, and I'm looking for a private room in a house or flat in Canberra( will move to Canberra from Melbourne and study in ANU by the end of June). I'm quiet, clean, easygoing and have lots of hobbies such as photography, folk and post rock music. Also, I'll enjoy having dinner or chatting with roommates, like friends. I respect other people's privacy as well. Hope to find a place that close to ANU (0-5km) and nice roomies.
Hi my name is Ian and I'm currently employed at the Canberra hospital as a registered nurse working full time more than 40 hours a week. I own my own car and am able to pay rent on time. My previous landlords, house mates and friends consider me a reliable and respectful tenant. I have a 5 month old, well-behaved rag doll kitten that I keep clean. I am passionate about anime and learning, and consider myself a responsible and tidy tenant.
Hey Flatmaters, i'm Anthony, looking to relocate up to Canberra soon. I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, and mindful of others. Most of my friends are in their early to late 30's - so looking for those kind of demographics. Have my own bedroom furniture (queen bed, bedside tables) + a studio desk i'll need space for (so, fairly large room). If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Cheers Anthony.
I have recently returned to Canberra after living for the last eight years in New Caledonia and I am looking to re-establish myself back in Australia. I am a 46 years old dad of two and I have been the primary parent for most of their lives. My children are currently in New Caledonia with their mum until the end of the school year so I am own my own. I'm a friendly and easy going person who looks and feels a lot younger than my age suggests..most of the time :) I am a photographer and like sport, especially soccer and AFL but nearly any sport will do. I am looking to get back to the gym once I am settled. I am working full-time, Monday to Friday, for a government department in Civic.
I'm moving back to Canberra after a stint in Sydney and I'm looking for a fun and friendly house. I work full time and I'd love to live with a group of pretty social housemates who make the Canberra winter bearable! I make a great chicken and leak pie, love chocolate and am quite clean and tidy too.
I'm a quiet 20 year old who works at the airport, and am looking for a place to stay until I can fulfil my dream of joining the air force, which could take anywhere between 6 months and 2 years. I'm a cyclist and runner in my spare time. I own a car, which I do not use much and am willing to lend out, but will need a place to store it. Apart from that, I'm just looking for somewhere to sleep and store my meagre amount of stuff, as well as cook.
Hi. We are two full time PhD students at ANU researching in the areas of ecology (Kelly) and primatology (Sarah). We are currently living in a townhouse in Lyneham but would like to move into a bigger (and warmer) house when our lease is up in mid-July, so are looking for someone to team up with us. We'd like to get a relatively decent place - up to $600 a week (max) for the total rent in the northern suburbs of Canberra. One of us is a vego and one is a vegan, one likes to have a wine at home and be a bit social and the other doesn't drink much, both like to have a chat and we are both friendly and easy going. One of us likes the gym the other likes bush walking, bird watching and yoga. We are both clean and tidy and especially respectful of shared areas. Looking for a like minded easy going tidy person to join us when we move. I have all the shared household furniture and kitchen items except for a dining table/chairs and outdoor furniture.
Hey there! I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a very clean and trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and I'm quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you!
I am a full time graphic designer working at a firm in Mitchell. I have been moving around Canberra at the moment and would like to find somewhere I can settle into. I am keen for a social atmosphere but am also a big fan of a book and some down time. I have my doggo Beans, who has been living everywhere I do for 3 years now and is a fantastic housemate. We both enjoy running and camping, so might duck off every other weekend to do so. If the idea of a doggo both excited and scares you he is really well behaved, and is guaranteed to love any one that he meets - happy to give some references for his behaviour too!
Female, full time student, studying law. in my final year and applying for internships. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
I am from Melbourne and have lived in a few share houses during my time here while I was studying my undergrad degree and when I was working full time. I am looking for accommodation for a student about to start his Masters degree at ANU. I enjoy cooking, board games, card games, reading, and computer games. I’m generally a quiet, private person but do enjoy socialising and having a few glasses of wine or beer.
Postgraduate student doing environmental studies in ANU. Easygoing and super friendly. Open-minded and respectful person. Fascinate about trying new things and experience adventures of life. Love all kinds of outdoor activities but also a fan of movies and TV series.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra for a job and looking for a place to live. I'm clean, tidy and a non-smoker. Happy to hang out with my roommates, but also respect the need for privacy. I'm also happy to share meals and do my share of the cleaning. I look forward to hearing from you. Shelley
Hi I am Tayla. I am easy going, friendly and like to meet new people. I also like quiet time and can respect other people's privacy. I do my share of work around the house. I am interested in philosophy, board games, Queer and trans issues and I like to party.
Hi there, I am from Vietnam and gonna move to Canberra for work at ANU the end of May. I'm a tidy, clean and respectful person who is looking for a place to share with one or two persons. I am easy-going and love gym, healthy food and outdoor activities. Please give me a shot if you have a room available :D. Cheers, Chin
After 5 years of uni and two degrees I've landed a graduate job (private sector) however its on the other side of the country! So I'm moving to our great nation's capital from Perth at the end of June/early July and need somewhere to live! my budget is around $200-250 per week, less would be preferable and I'd consider more if it includes bills. I've lived out of home for the past 2.5 years so am very used to sharing space with others. I've very house proud and like to have the place looking neat and nicely decorated. I'm coming over with a car and a suitcase so a place with some furnishings is preferable but not essential I can buy whatever I need. I have a lot of clothes and shoes so need a decent wardrobe and probably room for a tall boy and queen bed. I am allergic to cats so thats a no-go, dogs are fine! I don't know a lot of people in Canberra so it is important to me that I get along with those I am living with and my new housemate(s) will be keen to hang out, explore and drink with me. I'm super active, like to run and generally be pretty healthy, I cook a bit too. I like to be social outside the house on the weekends, going for brunch, shopping and other girl stuff. I also like to binge watch tv (OITNB, Rick & Morty, Jane the Virgin, How to get away with murder, the Mindy project, New Girl, Suits etc) I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do they are easy watching chick flicks, rom coms or will Farrell/Seth Rogan type comedy. Likes: chocolate wine cheese a good pub feed eating sleeping being organised not being hungover dogs Dislikes: bugs people asking me to repeat myself then interrupting me after two words with the answer to my question mushrooms being late If you feel I may fit into your household please let me know! and keep in mind I cant move until 30 June
Hi there, I am a young professional civil engineer originally from Sydney relocating to Canberra for work purpose. Due to heavy workload, I will be at work most of the time during weekdays but I am always up for little chit-chats and a bit of netflix together. Unfortunately I do not cook so less messy for all of us but i always keep everything clean, organised and simple.
Current post-grad student at ANU and pretty much work full time as well. Looking to move out of student sharehouse hell by early/mid June as my current contract ends at the beginning of July and would rather just leave this place. This means I'm a fastidious cleaner after living with students who don't know how to use a vacuum or the concept of wiping down a bench after preparing food (definitely also not a clean freak just saying I like a clean environment and will pitch in). Mostly keep to myself but always up for a chat or the occasional meal or drink with housemates. Working and studying keeps me pretty busy but I like to go out and explore Canberra when I've got the time. When I'm not studying/procrastinating at home I'm usually reading or listening to something. Interested in joining an existing house or finding somewhere new with other people looking for a place. Drop me a line if you think you could live with me!
I am a British 22 year old female who has been living in Canberra for 3 years! I am tidy and respectful of people's personal space.Although I do enjoy a glass of wine and a chatter now and again. When I move into a place I hope to build friendships with the people I live with :) I am currently working in hospitality and retail.
I know I have my linked in profile shot on as my display picture. Don't do a lot of selfies :P. Well hello, now that you are here, I'd like to tell you that I'm an easy going chill housemate. I'd be working full time and studying part time. I'm always up for a chat and having a few beers on the weekend. As long as you don't blast music on school nights and know how to live in a clean place, we'll get along just fine. Also, new to Canberra. Please show me around if you already have lived here otherwise we can explore it together. Can easily binge-watch a Netflix series !!
