Hi I'm Mitch. I work as a policy officer with the APS and am a cat dad. I like to boulder, mountain bike, and play poker/card games in my spare time. I think podcasts are great to cook and brew to, I have two bicycles, and will be buying a car soon so will need parking. I'm easy going and up for a chat or shared dinner, but happy to respect peoples space. I'm initially looking for roughly a 6 month lease but will potentially want to extend/stay on.
Hey Gang... looking for a room to rent or happy to get a place and share in around the city or Harrison somewhere along the tram line would prefer something in a secure building with own bathroom. ( Not opposed to looking at other options) Currently working two jobs as a hospitality professional not a party boy but don’t mind an odd drink management/Cocktail bartending is my game.! Can be social although after working a lot can tend to prefer my own space and a little quite me time..! Am very clean, reliable, respectable and above all honest.... I am part of 🏳️🌈 community so you’d need to comfortable with that, (wouldn’t know it though if it wasn’t pointed out...) Hope to hear from you soon... y’all have a great one ☝🏼 Looking to move on or after the 23/08/19 Can provide references if needed
I’m always up for a chat and some socialising, but I understand when people need to have their space too. I’m not too crazy about keeping things spotless, but I’m not a messy person, I clean up after myself in common areas. I definitely don't mind having other people over from time to time, it doesn't have to be a quiet household, but I think its important to always check with whoever you live with before inviting people over. Being friendly with flatmates is key for me.
I'm looking for a place to live with a relaxed atmosphere, with open minded people where I can feel at home. I prefer to live in a fairly clean and tidy environment. I enjoy going to the movies, watching tv, music, trivia nights, spending time outdoors, reading and crafting. My moving date is flexible. I am able to move sooner or a few weeks later depending on the place.
I am from the US from working on my PhD in Germany. This PhD will also bring me to Canberra for 8 months starting October. I was already here earlier this year for 4 months, and I really enjoyed the relaxed style of life. I love to be outside either hiking or cycling. My days are filled with work in the lab, yoga, and a considerable amount of home made ice coffee. Although I am happily social and ready to share a meal, drink, or conversation, my home life is pretty reserved. Since my work is mentally draining, and I spend so much time outside, when at home I generally prefer to be in bed or at least relaxing in the living room. The type of home I am looking for is one that is calm and respectful. To describe my level of cleanliness, I clean my dishes as I make them, and the toilet paper roll is never left empty. I know I am posting this rather early, but I figured it doesn't hurt to have my post running in the background to see what's available. If any of this sounds like a good fit for you, then I look forward to hearing from you :)
I'm a super easygoing housemate, tidy and am known to regularly bake bread to share... I'm returning to Canberra after a year overseas and looking for a nice house vibe, but happy to do my own thing too! I'm a public servant, originally from Sydney but lived in Canberra for almost 10 years, mostly living in sharehouses. I love all things related to food, making the most of Canberra's surrounding bush and hills, pottery and pottering around the garden.
Anna, 25, working full-time at ANU in environmental science-related stuff; I love bushwalking, climbing & outdoorsy things... I like gardening, going out & having dinners with friends, playing boardgames. I am social and friendly but also enjoy spending time on my own & relax.
Moving to Canberra from Brisbane in the new year (early Feb) to study full time at ANU and work part time. I enjoy friendly sharehouse environments, meeting new people but very respectful of privacy and independence. Hoping to start with a 6 month lease initially but happy to extend if all goes well. Also, happy to team up with two others in a similar situation to set up a new sharehouse.
Hi :) I have moved to Canberra 6 months ago from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and have been renting an apartment by myself in Phillip. As renting by myself has become a touch too expensive I have decided to try Flatmates to share the load. I work Full-time in Fyshwick as a Business Analyst and spend my Tuesday and Thursday nights training an under 16 boys soccer team along with playing for a team on Saturday's. When I do have down time I like to spend it watching tv and having a few drinks with friends in the civic area. If I sound like the kind of roommate for you please get in contact. Thank you
