Hey there! I'm 19 years old, working practically full time and hoping to move out of home! I'm super friendly and easy going, I always clean up after myself and I'm extremely independent and respectful. I'd love to find some like-minded people to have an enjoyable house with!
I am organised and from time to time I like to keep my personal space neat and tidy. I am not a party goer and enjoy chilling at home during weekend watching tv shows with wine. I also love running and coffee.
Hi, I am based in Sydney right now. I got job in one of the Govt org. I am moving to Canberra in end of November and looking for shared accommodation. I am male, 28, Software Engineer. I like to make friends, watch movies, play badminton, non-smoker, no pets. Thanks, Abhi
Hi guys! I'm Phoebe and I am on the search for somewhere new to live. I am a 25yr old social worker currently working for a child's charity and see myself as pretty easygoing and have been living in share houses for the last 5 years so know the drill pretty well. I am clean, social but like my privacy sometimes and respect others and lead a (mostly) healthy life minus the few blocks of chocolate and glasses of wine I enjoy. I am pretty quite during the week with work etc but enjoy the weekends to go out on walks, socialise (brunch is by far the best meal of the day), make the most of where I live and also to enjoy going out for a drink or two here or there. I am also new to Canberra so am looking for a place thats more a home and where I can make friends etc rather than just somewhere to sleep at. Also have a flexible move date!
Just relocated from Melbourne to Canberra for a job. Looking for a place to stay. I am bit of a workaholic, always clean up after myself and pay rent on time. After work during the week I am usually at home watching Netflix or gaming, on weekends I am out and about with the girlfriend. I also own a motorbike, so often go for a ride. Secure parking is definitely a bonus!
CIT environment graduate looking for long-term accommodation. I like to keep my place clean and tidy, and I get along with just about anyone. I enjoy art, photography, gaming and the outdoors.
Heyya :) my name is Philipp and I am a German student. I grew up close to Frankfurt but moved south, close to the Swiss border for my studies. I spent my last seven months in Wellington as an exchange student and intern and I'm coming to Canberra in January for another 3-month full-time internship, so I'm looking for a place to stay for that time! :) I am fairly outgoing and really easy to live with, I've been told. :) I'm a rather sportive guy, my favourite sports being Tennis, Soccer, Basketball and a few others. I also really like to go for a beer or two at a pub ;) I would say about myself that I am quite tidy, although my Mom would probably disagree... I don't mind how many people I would be living with or how big the room/apartment is, like I said I'm quite easy-going, Anyway, if I sound like someone that you would like to live and have a yarn with, I would really love to hear from you and maybe we'll be flatmates soon! Cheers, Phil
I am moving down from Brisbane in mid-December to begin a new graduate position in the health care sector. I am a friendly, kind and tidy non-smoking housemate who is more than happy to sit and chat or share a meal (I love to cook!) but also respect another's privacy. I enjoy fitness and sport and am interested in exploring and getting to know Canberra.
Hi I am a recent graduate now working full time looking for a room in a sharehouse. I am clean, social and friendly. I love cooking and meeting new people. I am also a sporting person, I play ultimate frisbee competitively and love exploring the outdoors.
I have just moved back to Canberra after after finishing my masters of chemistry in Melbourne. I'm starting work in February with DIIS and my move in date is very flexible. I have brought with me my little dog Pupperina, an older black Pomeranian, she's very good and doesn't bark, a joy to have around the house. I like science (but not a massive nerd), working out at the gym, cooking (sometimes) and going down to the beach or hiking on nice weekends. I also have horses out at Yarralumla and do showjumping and trail riding. At the moment, I have a lot of furniture including a fridge, a little outdoor setting and a TV as well as some other stuff, but if you don't need these things it's not a problem, I can just sell them. I would be keen to team up with someone to apply for houses or I can move into an unfurnished room and sell any of my furniture we don't want. I also got one of those BOSE portable speakers, it's really good, i'll let you borrow it. As well as some other cool things like an aquarium, paintings and a bunch of pot plants. Although I'm pretty quiet and don't talk that much I'm also extroverted and not really a private person my self, but of course, very respectful of other people's privacy. I like hanging out and having drinks or dinner with the people I live with. I don't throw parties, but don't mind if you have a party every now and then that I can be a part of. I like to have people over occasionally and I got that thing that mums do where I have to clean the entire house before I have someone over for dinner... I'm house proud I guess. I don't just clean after myself but also do chores like sweep the floors and clear the kitchen and hopefully will live with someone else who does regular chores. Mostly I'm just looking for a calm peaceful household and a high standard of living !
I follow work-earn-travel-repeat and always up for exploring new interests/passions. Born and grew up in India and completed 4 years in Australia recently. I love Indian cooking primarily and want to learn other cuisines too. I look forward to explore Canberra to the max, while exploring other pending parts of Australia and surrounding countries. I am not a party person and love quiet and peaceful living with an active social life. I smoke cigarettes occasionally and snore sometimes :)
I have taken up a fantastic opportunity managing growing luxury retail store in Canberra Centre. I am well spoken, polite, educated & importantly very easy to get along with, my friends would say I'm the perfect ice breaker. In saying that. I enjoy my privacy and mutually respect yours. A peaceful preferably furnished bedroom with ensuite, clean and tidy.. a place to call home, free from any anxiety or unexpected surprises is what i am after As much as i enjoy a wine on the occasion i am not here to be clubbing, pulling all nighters, or bringing random unknown strangers home around the clock.. In saying that, your life is your business and so long as i can get my sleep we will get along just fine. I am not loud, arrogant and think it's extremely important for you to meet me and make that judgement for yourself. Being able to connect with people of all ages is something i seem to do naturally and without judging based by a number. Be genuine, honest, reliable and have a sense of humour at the best of times! i am very much straight forward and open to any questions you may have to ask or want to know, so please don't hesitate. I have worked in retail and specifically luxury cosmetic retail, with a diploma in beauty therapy, also qualified as a Allied health professional. This will be my first time living away from Melbourne initially i was seeking to take up accommodation by myself, however after much thought; it would be nice to know i am not completely alone, in saying that its just knowing that there is someone else under the same roof every now and again. Some important things to be noted, no one likes hidden surprises, i do smoke cigarettes however i have always smoked outside and am very conscious/respectful as to where i do so and how i dispose of butts, (living with a non smoker currently) In my line of work it is something i am constantly mindful of and assure you wont be bothered by. Jordan.
Hello, We are Tanya and Henry! :) We are two students: Henry is doing his PhD and Tanya is studying law at ANU. Tanya has a dog, Rocky, who will be living with us. Rocky has pet references from living in an apartment this year, and the landlord has been really happy with the condition of the house and how well we’ve kept the place. His details are available on request. We have been friends for three years now and we too come with references from our previous landlords. We both have part-time jobs and parents who are able to help us with rent. We are clean and conscientious tenants and will take care of the property because living somewhere nice is important to us. Please let us know if you want to know anything more about us! Looking forward to hearing from you! Warm regards, Tanya & Henry
I'm an Australian male in his mid-30s just moved to Canberra. I have funding for about 2 years to do research, broadly in the area of sustainability, at the ANU. I'm a quiet but friendly guy happy for a chat or a shared dinner but also respectful of others' personal space. Favourite hobbies are outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc.) and dancing (lindy hop and blues). I am vegetarian but OK with meat being cooked in the same house! I've previously sharehoused in Canberra and Germany. The last couple of years I've been living by myself (in Sweden, where sharehouses are not so common) and while it's nice I do miss having people around!
I am a quiet human but enjoy a chat and some relaxing social time, like having dinner together, board games and watching movies, although I respect the need for space. I keep pretty busy by studying, working and exercising. I love to cook and try to improve my rather poor culinary skills. At the moment, I am studying a biotechnology (science) degree at ANU. I currently live on campus and am looking to move out around late november/early december. I am looking for a home for preferably a year or longer, in which my housemate/s would be clean and easygoing. I am not looking for a party house. Cheers :)
I am outgoing, social, and happy to share a meal or a drink with my roomies. I am also a busy professional so spend a spare bit of time out of the house so you won't feel crowded. I work in the environment sector, I'm from Wollongong but have lived in Canberra for a few years now. I like to exercise, cook, take photos, hang out with mates, drink wine and go on adventures to the coast.
A little bit about me - I'm originally from the UK and currently still living here. I'll be flying back to Australia this December and then going travelling for a month. I'm starting a government graduate program in Feb 2018 and I'm looking to move into a place mid January (ish). I'm an easy guy to live with. I'm clean, chilled out and sociable. Ideally looking for somewhere that is more of a home than a house, catching up with a glass of wine after a long day of work or occasionally cooking together. If you want to know more drop me a message 😊
Hello there - I'm heading into my second year at ANU next year. I am originally from Sydney, and am looking for a place for me and my plants to live in the glorious capital (preferably walking/biking distance from uni). I'm studious, but easy going and I try to keep it tidy. I'm looking to move in at some point in January.
