I’m from Melbourne and relocating to Canberra for a full time work. Friendly, social, easy going, clean and respectful of others property and privacy. I’m looking at a 3-6 month stay or less, somewhere that is furnished preferred, or unfurnished. Please feel free to contact me with any potential rooms you may have.
Hi there, I'm Jason, currently living in Sydney,NSW. I have been offered a fixed term contract to work as a Finance Professional (Accountant) with a Federal Government Department. Ideally I'd like to secure a place by 1st May so that I may be able to commence my role immediately in Canberra, ACT. I'm a very neat and tidy person and respect the privacy of those whom I stay with regards to cleanliness, respect and keeping noise to a minimum. I am however very social and would welcome the opportunity to have a conversation and participate in sporting and non-sporting activities as hobbies sometimes or just chill with drinks. Did I mention that I'm a good cook and am willing to share some of my delicious food! :) ;) . Only one way to find out. Haha!
New too Canberra, looking for a housemate to help in the move, but also to meet new people. Love live music, going out, movies, nights in, bushwalking etc etc. Looking to meet similar people looking to make new friends and experience Canberra
Hi! I'm a 29 year old patent and trade marks attorney. I am an ambivert and enjoy reading, bouldering, board games and listening to podcasts. I'm very tidy and am more than happy to keep to myself or cook and chat after a long day at work. I think it's very important to live with people you get along with so I'd welcome the opportunity to grab a coffee or go for a walk to figure out if we'll get along :)
Full-time student & freelance professional originally from China, love food (wish to try out all the hatted restaurants in Canberra), gym (usually go to Fitness First), cooking (always clean up while cooking, never leave the kitchen in a mess), reading (mostly novels, occasionally non-fiction), museums, galleries, theatres, music (indie/pop/rock/post-rock, love to attend gigs, concerts, musicals) , coffee (make pour over or cold brew almost every morning, planning to purchase a coffee machine this year to learn to make milk-based coffee), exploring fun spots in town or sometimes just lying on the couch enjoying the sweetness of doing nothing. Quiet, respectful, neat, tidy, chill. Looking for someone to share a nice, clean and cozy flat with.
Hi! I’ve recently moved to Canberra from Melbourne and have a full time job working as a Contracts Administrator. I like to keep fit and active - getting outdoors in nature, sports, should probably get to the gym but yet to find the motivation haha. Also love a good coffee, food and a cheeky red. Like to chat and be social but also happy to have down time. I am very clean but easy going, I’ve lived in share houses for ages. I’m considerate, respectful, reliable. Looking for a friendly environment to relax in sharing with a similar personality. Would prefer a 2 bed 2 bath place, I have a car so would like to be able to park off-road if living somewhere where on-road parking isn’t available/free.
Hey~ My name is Layla and I'm 26. I'm a ANU student doing my master of computing. I'm tidy and easy going. Before I came to Canberra, I worked as an accountant in Shanghai for two years. I like travelling and Japanese anime. Currently I live in UCV. I'm looking for a quiet furnished bedroom, not too far away from ANU. Hope to find friends to share a maybe two or three bedroom apartment and bills with me.
Hi! I am moving to Canberra in May to start a new job in consulting. I am moving from North QLD so I'd love to find a room with some housemates where I am able to make friends and socialise. I am clean and quiet but happy to have a chat and hang out! Thanks (:
Hey there, I'm Sami! I have recently moved back back to Canberra after living in Melbourne for two years. Despite having just moved back I've decided I'm well overdue for some soul-searching travel so I am looking for a short-ish term rental (somewhere between 3 and 6 months but potentially longer - if you're looking for at least 6 months and I agree to this, I will of course stick to that!) while I save up and practice my Spanish before heading over to Latin America. I work in hospitality in the CBD/Braddon area so am looking for a house that isn't too far from there so that I can cycle as much as possible! I'm a big fan of plants so more than happy to help your indoor or outdoor garden thrive while I'm in your home! I am also very passionate about environmental sustainability and was about to go into my second year studying this at ANU before deferring so that I can travel! I'm great to live with because I am super accommodating! Ideally I'd love to be part of a more social house with a bit of a community feel but I'm also totally happy to be in a more quiet and reserved home too. I am tidy, respectful, always promptly clean up after myself, a non-smoker and always pay rent and bills on time. Please chuck me a message if you have any questions!
Thirty-something professional moving from Brisbane for work. Looking for a friendly, considerate home to get started in a new 'city.' I like to be sociable, but also value my independence. I like all the 'normal things' (friends, family, food, wine, cheese, cooking, fitness (mostly!), movies, nature) and I am always up for adventures and trying new things. I am well-trained in shared living situations, reliable and I will always make sure there is enough toilet paper!
Hi! My name is Simona! I'm a first year medical student so I will be spending most of my time studying or procrastinating. I'm all the usual things that you want in a housemate: laid back, a procrastibaker (not limited to exam block), enjoy a bit of TV, neat and tidy, respectful of shared spaces and study time, and happy to put the bins out kind of person). I enjoy going for hikes, riding my bike, doing yoga and trying new sports. I love animals, especially dogs! So if you have a dog, that would be a massive bonus for me! I have all my own furniture for a bedroom and can help deck out the kitchen (hello pressure cooker, sandwich press and food processor!) My partner lives and works interstate so I spend most holidays in QLD and he comes down occasionally to visit me on weekends or when he has annual leave (2 weeks in May). I'm hoping to stay until January next year because that's when my partner hopefully will be relocating to Canberra). I also work a couple of nights per week but keen for catch ups over dinner watching (trashy) tv. Please contact me if you think that I could be a good fit for you!
people would describe me as Bubbly yet chill and easy going. I am a barista, i work in the Canberra centre. I'd love a place with females but i'm not too picky. I'm a pretty decent cook and am neat and tidy. I don't have a car so i'd need a place near a bus stop.
Hey there, I'm Rhys! I have just returned from 8 months in England and now looking for a place in Canberra. Not entirely fussed on location but my budget is up to $200 per week for a room big enough for a queen bed. I am 24 years old and will be returning to my full time job as an apprentice plumber once I come back to Canberra (currently living in Sydney with my parents). I'm not boring by any means but I guess I am a typical 24 year old guy - I work hard, I love a beer after work and a few more on weekends, I'm into gridiron and I spend most of my time at home watching Netflix or playing the PS4. I am also quite clean and tidy, can be sociable but can also just keep to myself at times. I'm looking to move to Canberra some time between very late May and early June so would love to find a room available at that time, preferably with some people similar to myself. Thank you!
Hey, I'm an ANU student who works part time, and is looking for a place in the inner north. I'm pretty easy going, but also respectful of people’s space. I enjoy cooking, running and hanging with my mates. I collect vintage travel posters and spend my free time working on my Spanish and trying to pick up French. I’m pretty flexible on the move in time.
Kate is a 22 yr old nursing student currently working in medical administration and reception. Azka is a 22 yr old university student currently working between retail and looking for a more committed administration role. We are good friends who have known each other for about 3 years and have also worked together. We have had some experience living together and know that we are compatible as housemates. We are looking for a room each, both available in the same rental. We separately each have a budget of 250$ per week. Both of us are single without children and do not have any pets. We are both; kind, patient, fun, social and clean.
I am 19 years old moving from Port Macquarie to Canberra for uni in June. I am fun and sociable yet a very respectful individual who is very tidy and also enjoys having my own privacy at times.
I'm a 21 years old French master student in biology. I will do a 3 months internship within the ANU. My internship starts on April 29 till August 4. I'm a really easy to live person, french food cooker and who love share drinks or meals with my roommate. I have already lived in different house shares, so I know the rules for a good harmony.
I'm a public servant looking for short term accommodation anyehere close to a direct bus to the city. I'm hoping to find somewhere warm for the winter months and ideally, a place I can keep my cat, George with me. He's big ol panther but he's very cool. On the weekends i do my best to get our of the house to catch up on some studies, find a quite space to read and check out Canberra's music and art scene. I'm a non-smoker and would like to share with someone who doesn't smoke. This is very important to me. Some good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like walks, baking cakes and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. My household pet peeves are food and dirty dishes left in sinks overnight and grimy, dirty or dusty floors. I like my pad dust, ( human and pet) hair and crawlie free. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly autumn weather has been a surprise! I will happily talk to you about heating expectations etc before we get to winter. Cheers, Rose
