Seeking a large room, in a warm friendly house in Canberra! I'm an experienced house-sharer, work full time, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. I'm a creative type, enjoy a good conversation, playing guitar, photography / videography, and getting out into nature for a decent walk. Currently in a one bedroom apartment paying a silly amount of rent on my own. Want to reduce my living costs, and join some other likeminded folk in a warm, comfortable, spacious place that's homely. Open to teaming up with a few others and getting a place, if the personalities all work. What i need is a large unfurnished room to fit my queen sized bed, shelving and large desk, or a seperate area / room / study for shelving / desk. Also have a car, so will need a space to park that. Have a small bunch of furniture - queen sized bed, couch x2, fridge, microwave, bookshelves, 46" TV, stereo, bookshelves, etc... can be used if needed, otherwise will be put into storage / sold. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
I grew up in Brisbane, and relocated to Sydney in July 2017 for work, and have now decided to move to Canberra to study my Masters. At this stage I'm not sure what my working arrangements will be, but I am a lawyer, so I will be engaged in at least part time work during normal working hours in Canberra. I currently live in a four bedroom share house in Redfern, and have loved my experience here. I count my housemates among my closest friends. I'm usually always up for a chat, but completely understand the need for space. Let me know if you think I might be a good fit for your house!
Hey there guys, My name is Matt and I've recently made the move to Canberra from Adelaide. I'm a young professional working in an engineering services consultancy newly established in the ACT. I'm looking for some like-minded, laid back young professionals or students who are keen for a chat, hang out together on the weekends, but respectful to the commitments of others. I'm an easy going, considerate and a country boy who's lived in shared accommodation / rental environments for the previous 9 years. I love spending time outside, working out at the gym, cooking up a storm and the occasional Netflix binge. My work weeks are typically high energy early morning starts and late nights. My weekends are usually quiet but social. Internet and off-street carparking are preferred. I'm pretty open to teaming up with others to start a new house in the inner suburbs. So if you're interested, hit me up!
Hi there! I have just moved back to Canberra and my short term rental fell through (oh no!). I am looking for somewhere to either live for a month or so to get organised or if the right place comes up, to live! I work full time in the ACTPS, and when I'm not doing that, I am out and about catching up with old friends, or chilling out at home, maybe once in a blue moon I'll be at the gym too! I am clean and tidy, I cook a bit, and am not too much of a party goer but will enjoy a wine or two!
My name is Rhiannon and I will be travelling from British Columbia, Canada to Canberra at the end of August to work at ANU as a postdoctoral researcher. I just finished my PhD in Microbiology at UBC, so I am looking forward to this working holiday. Ideally I am looking for a place within walking distance to ANU. This will be my first time visiting Australia so I am hoping to find roommates who are also interested in exploring the city and seeing other parts of the country!
Hello! I'm Lilian and I am moving to Canberra from Sydney for work so I'm looking for a place to move into. I tidy up after myself, am considerate of others, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh as well as having some downtime on my own. I also love going for walks, especially around the bush or somewhere aesthetically pleasing, doing some reading and trying my hand at cooking new recipes.
I'm clean, considerate, fun, and understanding. I usually don't spend a lot of time in common areas, preferring to get out & about (like music shows, hiking, etc.) or else hang out in my room. I get along with pretty much everyone. I'm from America, 24 years old, and will be a full-time (paid) intern at a humanitarian services organization.
Hello! About to do my Masters at ANU this coming July 2018. I work full time as well so pretty much I will be out of the house most of the time. Very chill and extremely tidy! I love, love, love bingeing on Netflix if there's time, coffee addict and can sometimes be flamboyant like Jack from Will and Grace :,)
I've recently moved to Canberra from Darwin to start a graduate position in government. I'll be reasonably busy during the week, but I'm looking forward getting out to explore Canberra (which might involve having a drink) on weekends! I enjoy cooking, playing/watching sport and camping, I'm friendly, easy going, all round great person etc etc.. Pretty keen to start a new share house so get in touch if you might be interested!
Hi, my name is Ben. I'm in my late 20's and I'm moving back to Canberra (early July) after a year in Sydney. I'll be starting a new role at ANU working on their strategy for the prevention of sexual assault and sexual harassment. I expect it will be pretty full on, though I'm excited to be focusing on something so important. Outside of work I really enjoy cooking (though heads up, I'm vegan), yoga, hiking and the outdoors, wine, reading and movies. I also enjoy the occasional Netflix binge, chats about world issues and or the future and playing boardgames. Ideally looking for a chilled house, with people who appreciate the need for time alone, though also enjoy the occasional hang or meal together.

I am also looking for clean respectable housemates who are preferably working professionals like me. I am looking to move in as soon as possible.

So I’m looking for something to keep me housed until the end of Jan 2019 as I will be looking to potentially move on campus accommodation at University of Canberra as I will be starting study.

Ideally I would be sharing with young professional or postgrad students just so we have something in common. I am very approachable and respectful, keen to have a chat after work, tidy, minimally cooking . I would be happy with either an ensuite or just a room in a new-ish building.
Hey there, from Sydney originally but have lived in the ACT for 5.5yrs. I am a full time venue manager for a delish restaurant/bar in Canberra. Few things about me, am very easy going and always up for a laugh. I enjoy listening to music, eating/drinking, puzzles, the odd hike here or there and much more. Appreciate a good balance between quiet time and socialising. As a housemate, I never leave a mess behind (except for my own bedroom) and understand the boundaries of a share house.
Hello everyone! Looking for a place to stay to rent for 6 months to a year. I'm sociable, open-minded, friendly (can get along with most people), but also respects privacy very much. I am an individual who is clean and tidy. I'm also an outgoing person but on occassion I like to have time to myself (balanced lifestyle is important for me!). I'm looking for people with these similar traits, so we can actually get along in the property we reside. Cheers, Reno Cotan
Hi people, my name is Jess and I'm a pharmacist looking for a room to rent in Canberra for 6 months - I'll be working in Woden so somewhere nearby or with easy bus access would be ideal. I am originally from country NSW and have worked in a number of places in Australia including Alice Springs and stunning Jervis Bay. I have house shared with people of varying ages and backgrounds and enjoy meeting new people. I am easy going and tidy and enjoy exploring outdoors, playing sport and taking every opportunity to adventure. I'll be starting work 23 July so happy to move in that weekend (21-22) or two weeks earlier if preferred (6-7 July)
I’m looking for a room/teamup starting any time from July (although this is somewhat flexible). Looking to move into somewhere for the longer term if it’s the right fit. A bit about me: I enjoy travelling, architecture, keeping fit, doggos. Minor Chinese reality TV personality in a past life. Pretty easy going sort of guy at home, do most of my socialising outside the house but happy to do stuff with housemates too. Have some pretty nice furniture to contribute as well! I’ve lived in multiple sharehouses through uni and am now looking to save some money (currently paying $390/week). I’m a full time public servant and have never missed any sort of rent payment. I’m clean but not super pedantic about it - happy to adjust to suit others’ preferences/go on to rosters etc. Message me if it sounds like we’d be a good fit!
