Hi, my name is Lachlan and I'm a local Canberran looking for a new share house as I begin working full time as a young professional. I'm ideally after an apartment and considerate/tidy housemates to share it with. I've lived the share house life for the past four years in Canberra and enjoy hockey and relaxed drinks in my spare time.
I am a post-grad student who's joining ANU to study clinical psychology. I get along easily with people and am regarded by friends (and flatmates in the UK where I did an undergrad at St Andrews) as fun & easy-going. While I am gregarious by nature, I respect personal boundaries. In the same token, I'd love a flat environment which is friendly, but also allows for personal space.
My friend Dana and I are moving to Canberra and are looking for two separate rooms to rent (preferrably in the same property but not a neccessity). I'm 25 years old and Dana is 19 and we both work full time in childcare. We are tidy and friendly people who like our own space as well as socialising. I like to cook (Dana not so much) and we both like to eat, drink, watch TV, read, take walks, go on day trips, be outdoors, go to the beach etc. We are looking for a chilled, like minded flat/housemate(s) to share a space with. Hoping to hear from you soon!
I'm moving from Melbourne to Canberra for an APS graduate position, looking to move into an existing shared house or to start a new one. I've been living in shared houses for five years, including a three year stint living with four other people, so I'm reasonably experienced with sharing. I am extremely keen to move into a place as soon as possible. I enjoy socialising over a coffee or a few drinks, but of course like a bit of down time on my own - usually reading, watching netflix or playing video games. I'm looking for a relatively modern place that isn't too far from shops - whether it be Civic or Manuka/Kingston. I will need a room large enough for a queen bed and a small desk. I also have a car and a washing machine. I'm currently staying in temporary accommodation in Canberra if you'd like to meet for a coffee and a chat.
I'm an IT professional moving from Sydney to Canberra for work in mid March. I'm a fun and easy going guy. Good with cooking, cleaning and fixing things around the house. I'm a non-smoker and non-alcoholic. I'm an honest and responsible person. Let me know if you have a place for me.
Hi, I'm Grace! I've moved to Canberra from Perth to start full-time work with the public service. I'm always up for Netflix binges, coffee chats or anything in between. I'm a little bit of a nanna, so love baking, cups of tea and curling up with a good book. Ideally, I'd be looking for a housemate that I can share an occasional meal with if we're both home at the same time. Most importantly, I'm clean and tidy (but not a neat freak), respectful of personal space and down time, and can cook a mean lasagne.
I'm a PhD student at the Australian National University studying astrophysics. Last year I moved to Canberra from New Zealand to start my PhD. In my spare time I enjoy exploring the region and engaging in science outreach and education. I am a fairly quiet person and I don't smoke or drink alcohol.
Hey all! I am an international student from China and will be studying at ANU. I am a respectful and down to earth person who is a bit quiet at first but can be fun to talk to when I get to know a person. I love movies, meaningful conversations, nice people and a good laugh. I don't smoke and I don't have pets. I am a tidy person and don't make noise. My preference: I would love to live with people who are friendly and tidy,. I'd be cooking most of my dinners at home. I don't do greasy cooking - most of my food is boiled or lightly stir-fried.I prefer a place within walking/bicycles distance of ANU, or with easily accessible public transport nearby directly to ANU.
Hi I'm Poppy, I'm 26 years old and moving to Canberra for a new job in the public service. I'm active and outgoing and on the weekends you will find me spending time with friends, finding great brunch spots and exploring the outdoors. I have busy work and social life but enjoy catching up with housemates over a meal or coffee after work or on the weekends. Home for me is a place to unwind and i'm respectful of shared spaces, clean and tidy and reliable with rent/bills.
Hi, I'm Hugh, a 24 year old honours student at ANU. I'm just looking for a nice and friendly sharehouse to move into this year! I spend most of my time writing this nasty thesis and working at community legal centres but when home, I'm always keen to relax and hang out. I'm looking to share a place with clean, respectful and friendly people! If you're an easy-going, respectful and friendly person, please get in touch!
I am a very clean and tidy person. I'm not loud, I don't smoke nor drink. I don't go out clubbing and what not. I do like to socialise but I respect when you need alone time. I am from a place near Bega and I will be starting uni at UC on the 13th of February.
I'm a neat, organised and outgoing person. I am very social but respect privacy. I'm a non-smoker and don't go out partying. I love staying in and having movie nights after work.
Hi I'm Tash and I've just moved to Canberra, all the way from Cairns in sunny Nth QLD. I'm very organised and tidy. I enjoy both spending time at the gym and spending time chilled out watching movies/reading on the couch. I like some alone time, but would also love roommates who are happy to chill out and enjoy and chat or movie night in the evenings.
I am a International Studies graduate moving to Canberra from Brisbane to start an APS graduate program (full time work) in the beginning of February and am looking for a room in an apartment/unit/townhouse, preferably with a female roommate (20s-30s). I am organised, clean, pretty quiet and respect the importance of privacy but also would love a roommate to sometimes chat and hang out with after work (over a glass of wine or a movie/netflix) Love to be social on weekends and having people over for dinner or going away on a day-trip. Other things about me: can cook, have lived overseas, am a cat lover, and am into fitness and snow-sports. Happy to bring any furniture or appliances needed! Looking for anything between a 6 month or 12 month lease!
I'm moving up from Melbourne as part of an APS graduate program on Jan 30th so will be looking for place from then. I like hanging out, brunching, keeping active, playing sport and occasional netflix binge in my spare time. I like to think I'm easy going tidy but not OCD, and fairly chilled - don't hesitate to message if this sounds like your type of flat mate.
Hi friends I am an Melbournian looking for a place in Central Canberra, starting mid-March. I have a Singaporean GF. I will "blahh" what we are looking for below, so that everyone can make efficient use of their time. COOKING We generally cook our own meals, so the place we choose will have microwave, gas stove and over/griller facilities. I am not a cook/chef so our meals are quite simple, because it beats spending 1-2 hours hunting for meals outside. REDUCED CAR LIFESTYLE We don't plan to own a car and this would factor into our decision making process. The aim is to live within 10-15 minutes walk of a shopping centre with a big supermarket. This will hopefully be complemented by public transport, our own bicycles and the occasional car hire. INTERNET We generally spend most of our time doing stuff through laptops, so a good internet connection is important. CLEANLINESS We are both clean and considerate, and look forward to staying with similarly clean and considerate people too. Non-carpeted places are the best as they are the easiest to clean and maintain and generally do not accumulate...dirt. We can work with carpet, so see how it goes on case-by-case basis. Want to know more? Send a message and we can explore further David
I am a 26 yo male from Thailand, recently graduated from ANU. I am a clean, easy going and respectful to others. I mostly keep things to myself but don't mind a casual board games, movie or grab some drinks. I like to play badminton and cycling.
My partner and I are very sociable outgoing people. I absolutely love the kitchen and we love to have house dinners and occasionally like to have a sunday sesh. We are hard workers, love the outdoors and are very tidy people.
I'm a 22 year old from Adelaide who is moving to Canberra in late January for a one year contract in the Australian Public Service. I completed my Construction Management degree recently and have previously been working in Local Government/Council. I'm quiet and easy to get along with and my interests include photography, computer gaming and being outdoors.I cook occasionally, sushi is my favourite dish to prepare. I'm a tidy person who doesn't smoke and enjoys an occasional drink. I fly over on Jan 30 and need to find a place to live by mid Feb. I'll also need parking options for my car.
My name is Kate, I'm 24, and I'm moving to Canberra in January to start working full time with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. I'm currently living in Melbourne, but I grew up in Tasmania, so I have a very keen interest in the outdoors - I love hiking, snowboarding, and I've just bought a bike and I'm getting into cycling! On the weekends I like to either head off somewhere for an adventure, or go hunt down some live music or a dance floor. Some of my favourite things are Disney movies, perfectly ripe avocados, making up Game of Thrones theories, and the smell of clean bed sheets. In terms of my housemate-style, during the week I'm a bit of a homebody; I love sitting on the couch with a glass of wine (after heading to the gym if I'm keen enough) while eating some kind of carb with cheese on it. I enjoy living with people who have got their own things going on, but are down for a family dinner on the odd occasion everyone is home at the same time.
Hi my name is Jedd, I moved in from Adelaide shortly before Christmas. Im working a really steady roster at JBHiFi in the city centre but I'm also studying VFX and Animation in Watson, and undertaking an internship in Acton at the Film and Sound Archive, so a place near the city or with good access to it is a must right now. I'm very clean and polite. I can cook for a group and I come with a staff discount at JBHiFi if we need to upgrade any ammenities. I like to get out a bit, either for drinks or the odd walk/jog, when it's in the budget I wouldn't mind joining a gym either. As far as hobbies, I'm big into both awful and good movies, comics and video games, I spend a lot of time illustrating too! I love pets if you have or want to have any, I have history as a pet/house sitter so people can vouch for me if you need it. I don't sweat the small stuff so I doubt theres any chance of friction living together. I'll be out of the house a fair bit anyways with all my commitments, but I'd love to be mates with whomever I lived with If you have any questions for me feel free to call or text me, I'm working till 5:30 most days though so apologies if any of my responses are delayed at all. I check my emails at lunch too! Cheers!
Hi，I am a student, I am going to study in Australian National Univerisity. I have a classmate will live with me. We are two Chinese girls. We both are postgraduate students. We are looking for two rooms, which is convenient for us to go to Australian National University.Preferred there is a bus station, gym and shopping central within walking distance. Please contact with me.
Hi, I’m Sam, a 27 year old fulltime public servant looking for a new share house. I’ve lived in share houses in Canberra’s inner north and south for the past few years. I’m easy-going, tidy and happy for an after work chat or drink. After work and on weekends, I like to check out cafes, restaurants and the sights around Canberra, catch up with friends and watch Netflix. If you have a place or would like to team-up or know more about me, please feel free to get in contact.
I am from Newcastle, NSW. I moved to Canberra at the start of 2016 to study music at ANU. I am 19, currently studying vocal performance and French language and culture at ANU and am about to begin my second year. I also work singing teaching and performing. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, watching tv/movies and listening to music (of course). I love the outdoors and going out to gigs/concerts/restaurants as much as I love a quiet night in. I am a non-smoker and I only have furniture for my bedroom. I am very respectful of privacy/personal space and I try to be as mindful as I can when it comes to noise and cleanliness.
I've nearly finished studying mathematics, and looking for a place to stay for the last semester of my degree. I'd be great to live with because I'm not very dramatic, I don't trash the place, I cook good food, I'm not very hard to get along with, I'm good at sorting out conflicts, and I'm not very noisy or disruptive either. That being said I'm not a total bore, and I'm happy socializing and making friends. I grew up in Townsville, QLD, but I've been in Canberra for the last four years or so. I lived at the Canberra Student Housing Co-operative for 2015 and 2016, and while it's a fantastic place I felt like it was time for me to move on and make room for people who could really benefit from the place. For fun I like to socialize, cook, play video games, read, etc - although I'm usually down to do what other people are doing. I'm not a huge drinker but I'll join in for social events. Don't do drugs but I don't mind people that do.
Hi there, I'm moving from Newcastle to Canberra in early February to start an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science at ANU. I am honest, respectful and a positive person who will pull my weight in cleaning and cooking. I am looking for a comfortable house share (close to the uni) or an easy going flat mate who enjoys a laugh and a wine or two (or beer) but it also respectful of space and noise. I like to cook, being outdoors (bbq's and the beach), checking out markets, restaurants, bars but also enjoy my own time and a bit of peace and quiet. I'm also very interested in teaming up and starting a share house. Looking forward to checking out Canberra. Cheers!
Hey all! I am an international student from Hong Kong and will be studying at ANU. I am moving alone so I don't know anyone in Australia/Canberra. I am a respectful and down to earth person who is a bit quiet at first but can be fun to talk to when I get to know a person. I like watching movies, reading, listening to music, napping on a beach, exploring new places, eating different kinds of cuisine, local street food and having a few drinks with friends. I don't smoke and I don't have pets. I am a tidy person and don't make noise. ***My preference: I would love to live with people who are friendly and tidy, preferably if you are also studying at ANU (please feel free to contact me even if you are just looking to team up). Flat-wise I prefer a place within walking/bicycles distance of ANU, or with easily accessible public transport nearby directly to ANU. I don't mind sharing bathroom but I prefer to have my own furnished lockable room in a neat and tidy house.
Neat, good personal hygiene, great company, hilarious and humble. Moving from Melbourne to our country's fabulous (ahem) capital to further my career and pursue higher(er) education. For fun I like to eat and shop beyond my means, not exercise and read. A bit to much. Kthanksbai!
I am moving from Brisbane to join the public service. I like to think of myself as having the right amount of social anxiety where I'm an extremely considerate flatmate who is still able to share a meal and/or laugh. I come with an excellent vacuum cleaner and am not hopeless at domestic activities. If you like Netflix and sarcasm then I think we could make something work.
I'm moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start a new job in the public service. I'm excited to meet new people and explore a new city! I'm friendly and laid-back, and like to do my own thing at home, but also enjoy socialising with flatmates. I'm neat and organised and in my spare time I enjoy reading, going out to concerts and netlfix!
Hello 😊 I am a recent graduate from Brisbane and have moved to Canberra for full time work in the public service. People often say I am easy-going and responsible. I am clean and tidy and I also enjoy cooking. I like to get out on weekends to socialise, however I also value quite time. You will often find me at a cafe enjoying good food with friends. And on special occasions you will often find me on the dance floor 😆💃🏾. I love to travel and experience different cultures, so I am very open to meeting new people :) Looking for a place close to my work in Barton, preferably with 1-2 other people.
I am about to start my PhD program in Ecology and Evolution at the ANU and have multiple interests. I will be landing in Canberra on 11 February. As I will have a range of fieldworks in the second semesters, I am not sure if I will be able to keep a place in Canberra from July on yet - but let's say I am looking for a long term accommodation. Despite the science, I like to spend some time developing my abilities in languages, music, literature, arts and dance as hobbies (sporadically). Currently, I have been embracing the practice of physical training weekly. Although I was raised in the countryside of Brazil, influenced by a traditional culture, I identify as an open person and love to learn from new experiences. My friends usually describe me as an independent person, with a nice taste for music, creative and communicative, however, with a funny need for being at least some time alone each day. I like travels and learning about other cultures from usually strange people. I never do anything that I do not feel secure/ready at doing, thinking about the consequences. I am tidy, easy going and respectful. If you like (the amazing) Brazilian food, we can share some in the weekends. :)
I have just moved to Canberra from Tas for a Grad position. I am pretty laid back and easy going, but I'm also a fairly tidy person. I appreciate down time and having your own space but I am also always up for socialising and adventures. I love heading to the coast for a camping trip or going out on walks.
Currently a third year Economics/Law student at ANU. Just came back from exchange in Singapore so looking for a place to stay for the remainder of the year. Will be spending the majority of my time at university but I am very sociable and considerate as a housemate. Cleanliness is a priority for myself and as such I can guarantee that both private and shared spaces will be well kept.
Originally from Brisbane, just moved to Canberra with the public service. I am laid back and on the more sociable end of the spectrum so I'm not the type of housemate to be locked in my room all the time.
Hi There, We are Banner & Angie and are moving to Canberra in Feb 2017! Banner is returning to Uni this year to study his Masters; Angie works in the non-profit sector and will be working full time. We are quiet people and not big party animals. We are a very peaceful couple (i.e., you don't need to worry about any screaming matches or dramatic affronts!). We are neat and will keep things tidy, but also not OCD about your cleaning habits. We enjoy cooking, keeping active, reading, exploring, eating out on occasion ... Overall, we are very easy going and accepting and are looking forward to a new adventure in your town! Please consider us :-)

I like doing my own thing but also very much enjoy socialising with others. Easy-going and adaptable :). I will be heading back to Canberra in mid January so am available to see the house and meet the housemates from then :). Thank you!
Hi I'm Jack, I'm currently looking for accommodation in North Canberra to commute into the ANU where I study PPE/Law. I also work remotely as an administration assistant. I'm originally from Newcastle and my hobbies mainly include reading, walking, learning foreign languages, travelling and generally talking to people about the big issues and the small. I'm clean and tidy, especially when it comes to common areas as I really hate annoying people and have a good history of getting my rent in on time which I can provide. In terms of how I relate to flatmates/housemates I'm pretty flexible, always happy to hang out but also enjoy alone time and respect when others want it. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me on my mobile. Cheers, Jack
Hello, My name is Eric (male) from China ,currently studying in ANU master of business information system. I am a friendly, clean, tidy ,respectful guy. Non-smoking , no pet, and easy to get along well with anyone. Especially good at BBQ. I am interesting in a place which close to ANU or city. I can move in from February 2017 to 10 months or 1 year.
I'm currently working full time in the city and would like to find a place walking distance to work. Outside of work, I dance a couple of times a week and may try to fit in other activities. I'm organised, clean, respectful and pretty easy going. I enjoy some private time after work but equally enjoy sharing a meal and unwinding the day together if you are up for it.
Hi all, my name is Siddiq Mohamed. I am 18, and I am currently a student (going into my second year) at ANU, doing a Dual Degree in Information Technology. I am generally an easy going person, as well as out-going, and fairly social. Easy to get along with too, or at least I would think. For fun, I enjoy reading, watching interesting shows, drawing, as well as writing and love literature and music in general. Mainly looking for a house share, no more than three or four people at the max, and hopefully no more than around 20 minutes by walk, or a short bus ride to ANU. Clean, Neat, Tidy, Friendly, Non-Smoker, Non-Drinker.
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra to start an APS Graduate position (full-time). I'm easygoing and quiet but sociable. A big fan of live music, red wine, cooking, reading and watching lots of TV/movies. I also enjoy hiking and snowboarding. I'm happy to go out, stay in, share a meal, chat, or relax by myself and give you space :) I'm tidy and organised, and by all accounts easy to get along with. Looking to live with 1-2 other people in an established sharehouse or to setup something new! I'd like to complete my move by Feb 13th but I'm open to moving from the start of February.
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’ve just landed a full-time job in the APS and I’m moving to Canberra in January. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
Hi guys, I'm a local professional looking to start a share apartment, preferably two room two bath. I like my own space but am also quite sociable, and would be contributing a significant home cinema space for the ultimate Netflix nights. I also like to head out for some socialising on the weekends, and spend most of the week focused on my fitness. Prefer to live with women as that's what I'm used to but happy to live with guys too if we hit it off. Walking distance to the city is my preference. I have a motorcycle, so while I wont be using much of it, secure parking is a consideration. Also just completed a design degree and will be looking for places with NBN connection.
Hi, I'm Kai and moving down from Sydney as a grad in an economics related field. I love to check out cafes, listen to indie and jazz music, read, and play board games (I have a growing collection that is just asking to be played). I'm also learning German and French. I'm keen to hang out and socialise, but I'm equally happy relaxing at home. I have shared happily with flatmates for almost a couple of years now. I'm friendly and keep things in a clean state. Looking for a share place that's pretty central in Canberra. Please feel free to contact me!
I am willing to chip in to all household chores and can whip up some pretty good meals and would be happy to cook sometimes for my housemates. Im a nurse coming to live in act to attend university commencing 13th of feb. Im looking for an initial place to live whilst settling into uni. There is the possibility of going back to sydney in 3 months hence looking for only 3 months atm but may need to extend this depending on whether i stay in canberra or not
