I am a quiet and courteous guy from regional Western Australia (Bunbury) moving to Canberra in late Jan to start as a graduate in the Department of Education and Training. I love exploring by walking/hiking and hope to have roommates who enjoy the same (and who might explore Canberra with me). I am learning to cook and would be open to sharing meals and having conversations with my flatmates. Most importantly, I am clean and smoke/drug free and would need my roommates to be the same. Otherwise, I am friendly and open for chats and the occasional gathering of friends. I’m happy to team up with others in a similar situation to look for a place to live (near the Centre), or move into a pre-existing rental agreement/share house. Please note I am in WA until late Jan, but would be happy to collaborate with you via text, email or Skype :)
Hi I'm looking to share share short term from Jan 6 to March 31 with a possible extension to June and hopefully, beyond. If you have space for a house panther (my rather chunky black cat) or are looking to find a property, then I'm happy to team-up for a long term lease. I'm an APS worker and I've been spending my weekends chillin' and checking out Canberra's art scene. I like it here! There's so much on! The basic stuff: My budget is 250-300per week ex-bill's. I'm happy to share an apartment with one person or a house with two. Please only message me if your listing is within the suburbs I've specified, Cheers. Other good stuff: I'm not a party person and tend to keep quiet and friendly around the home. I'm a second-hand book store and tea-chat kind of person. I also like walks and overgrown gardens. I'm tidy and will keep the house fresh and clean. I am a Queensland ring-in so this chilly spring weather has been a surprise! I will happily have a preemptive chat with you about heating and elect bills in case I'm around long enough to need it next year. One other thing: if you happen to be offering a) town a house b) a ground floor unit b) anywhere that's pet friendly and you've always dreamt of sharing your pad a handsome house panther...I know a guy. Cheers, Rose
I am a 21-year-old kiwi, moving to ANU in 2019 to complete my honours in Psychology. I love sports and have played netball at premier level in Wellington for the past 3 years. I love the outdoors and adventure. In my spare time, I like to read, play sport, go on adventures, visit art galleries and watch films. I am very friendly, keep to myself, organised and hard-working. I also am very clean and tidy, and have two years of experience flatting so understand how to live with others. I am looking for a room ideally in a flat share. Please be in touch if you have anything available.
Hi, I'm Sam. I have just moved back to Canberra after travelling overseas for five months, having recently graduated from ANU with a degree in genetics and immunology. I'm clean, professional, gay, and I love cooking and gardening. I'm looking to find a share house with my mate Zhong (he's just a friend lol).
I'm a full time professional looking for a tidy share with friendly housemate(s), preferably a master/large bedroom. I drive, gym, cook, read, movie nights, socialize etc. I'm considerate to live with and easy going. I have a bed, desk etc to bring, Happy to share a meal and drink or chat.
Hello I'm Jem! I'm 23 currently trying to make a move away from my hometown and begin a body piercing career. I'm quiet, honest, easy to talk to and very respectful. I also absolutely love meeting new people! I have full time work where I am now and have located many suitable jobs in the Canberra area! I know how to take care of myself and how to take care of a home, I have lived by myself for a year and out of home since I was 17, I am very clean and tidy and always willing to chip in with anything that needs to be done. I enjoy creative things, I love gardening reading writing and drawing but also love to binge watch stan and Netflix or weird documentaries with a cheeky glass of wine. I like cooking I don't know if I would call myself a good cook but I do make a killer potato bake I promise you that! I have a friendly calm 6 y.o cat who does his own thing, has never attacked scratched or bitten anyone ever, however he does not get along with other animals. I will very rarely have a cigarette maybe once a week but never in my life have i smoked inside a house and I never will, I'm on my way to completely stopping. I don't party I just want a nice place to call my own so i can work hard. I have all my own furniture and appliances so unfurnished is fine or I'm happy to bring along anything that might be needed. Due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances I am now unable to move from my hometown until mid-late Feb.
I'm Dan. I work in public relations for the Department of Defence and currently completing my Masters. I am always up for a chat over a couple of drinks. I enjoy books, movies, and sometimes video games. I am quiet (prefer consuming media with headphones) and very clean. I normally meal prep on a Sunday and then I'm pretty much done with the kitchen for the week. No pets of my own but I love animals. I consider myself very laid back, except when competing at board games.
I'm moving to Canberra from northern NSW to start work in the APS in 2019. I'm tidy, reliable, respectful, and always up for a friendly chat or rant about the daily grind. I hope to make some great friends that I can have fun with on weekends, whether that be cooking in our pjs, having movie marathons, or going on ski trips!
I'm a 25 year old guy about to move to the ANU to study medicine. I'm originally from Wollongong, but have been working, studying and living in Sydney since I finished high school. As a post-grad student I'll be doing my best to keep busy, put my head down and study. That being said, I'm a pretty sociable housemate - I don't like unfriendly households. I also am willing and able to take part in all household tasks, including managing them if needed. I am keen to help out. Outside of uni and work I enjoy languages, hiking, reading, foraging and gardening.
Hi, I'm Charlie. I'm moving to Canberra around mid January. I will be working full-time at DHS. I'm looking for an accommodation for at least 6 months to 1 year+. I'm neat and respect personal spaces. I cook nearly everyday, workout often and enjoy making cocktails on the weekends. P.S. I prefer private bathroom, no smoking indoor.
G'day all, I'm a 23yo public servant based in Canberra. I'm quiet, respectful, considerate of others privacy and like to keep common areas tidy and clean. I'm a pretty chill dude, and enjoy the occasional chat with housemates. Will tend to be out a fair bit doing exercise, playing tennis, catching up with mates or going on outdoor adventures. Otherwise, you may catch me testing out new recipes or playing PC games in my downtime. Looking for a new place to live in with (ideally) one other person in a fairly central location. Fairly flexible with discussing a move-in date, ideally anytime around end Jan 2019.
A bit about me: My name is Nicole, I am 30-years-old, and I am originally from Newcastle, NSW. I studied Honours last year at the University of Melbourne, and in 2019 I am moving to Canberra to start a PhD at ANU. My research is in the area of sociology/gender studies. I am a vegetarian. I enjoy riding my bike sometimes. I am very community-minded. I don't mind getting out and about, e.g. checking out walking trails, bike paths, nightlife and restaurants/cafes, and I am looking forward to exploring Canberra! What I am looking for: A room in a share house (budget $200) close to ANU. A place within riding distance of the university and/or close to public transport would be ideal. I do not have a car, so do not require a parking space. A house with central heating would be ideal for those cold Canberra winters! The room can be furnished or unfurnished, I am flexible. A shared bathroom is fine with me. I intend to do a lot of cooking this year, thus a fully-equipped kitchen and plenty of fridge/freezer space would be ideal. I am indifferent about whether or not there is a garden, but if there is, I don't mind contributing to growing veggies. I can adapt to both quiet and social houses, however I am not much of a "party-goer" and I do like a quiet house at sleeping hours. I enjoy an occasional drink and friendly banter with housemates. If you think I sound like a good fit, feel free to contact me!
Hello! I've just finished my Masters in Cultural Material Conservation in Melbourne and am moving (back) to Canberra to fill a 9 month contract at the National Library of Australia. I've lived in Canberra previously and really love this city. I'm looking for a house that's friendly and cheerful. I'm a social person and love having the odd dinner party or house party. But, overall, I am a massive homebody and love a place to retreat to- somewhere calm and tranquil would be amazing! I'm vegetarian but am fine with being in a house where meat is cooked.
Hi! I am moving to Canberra and I will be working full time in the public service next year. I am friendly and easy to get along with. I enjoy cooking and will always clean up after myself. Hi! I am from Melbourne and moving to Canberra in February 2019 for a full-time graduate job at ANU. I am looking for a room to rent or people to share a place with. I enjoy swimming, binging Netflix and relaxing with friends. I like to go out with my friends and have a good time but mainly love to stay in and have a quiet night at home. I am open to sharing meals together and having a friendly roommate environment. I'll never say no to a chat! I'm happy to share chores around the house and keep communal spaces clean and tidy.
I'm a Student at UC studying Primary Teaching, and work full time at a school as an LSA. I play/watch soccer and enjoy a beer/wine over a chat, movie, or board-game, but also can enjoy and respect space. Looking for a chilled out household, and hope that I could contribute to that
Looking for a place for at least 12 months. Hobbies include sports and other recreational activities, I have a cat named Mac who’s very low maintenance and sweet. Enjoy riding my bike everywhere. Like to socialise and cook but also enjoy alone time every now and then :))
