Heya. I'm a student-turning-yuppie with my sights set on moving to San Francisco. The leftie in me hates that, but one step has to come before the other. I'm finishing my degree in IT and work part-time in an experience design startup. We do cool stuff with the Internet of Things (think smarthomes and fridges that talk to you). I'm more of a designer than computer nerd though. I like plants, film, and cycling. Selling points for me as a roomie? As much as it pains me to type this, in my last sharehouse, I was the one that generally did the dishes. NOTE: DO NOT EXPLOIT. Also, I have a projector which I'm happy to share. Sup?
I am a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam who quit his job after working 8 years full time as a young professional in Telecommunications. I did this because I realized my current life situation was not going to make me happy in the end. I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. That's why I'm looking for a place to call home for a longer period. I'm also looking for work so I probably will be working full time or at least as much as possible. People appreciate me because of my positive, outgoing and happy attitude. I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. I don't take life too seriously, I just try to make the best out of every moment. I'm sociable, reliable, friendly, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beers and I am a music lover in general (would love to learn to play any instrument!). Other things I appreciate: food & cooking, traveling, sustainable living, serious conversations, coffee, yoga, spirituality and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy place with a 'small-community' feeling to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Coburg, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor or surrounding area's. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So if you are looking for an awesome housemate, don't hesitate to contact me right away so we could arrange a chat in real life soon (that probably gives a way better impression of myself then this story)
Hiya I'm a gal from England currently on exchange for a year studying at Monash university. I've been here for one semester where I stayed at halls but am looking to move into the city to be closer to shops and bars. I'm really sociable and love going out for drinks and meals but my days will mostly be spent at uni and studying. I'm clean and am more then happy to share cleaning responsibilities around the place :)
We have just moved over to Melbourne from New Zealand and need a long-term place to call home! I work as an Account Coordinator at a start up company aiming to eliminate food wastage in commercial kitchens, as food/cooking is my own true passion in life! Aside from cooking and food, outside of work I love to chill out with a good chat, accompanied with a glass of wine/beer (not fussy!), or read a book whilst soaking up the sunshine. Tom currently works behind the bar in South Yarra, and is an excellent musician (though his band practice elsewhere!). Music is his one true love, but does enjoy food & coffee, sports, beer and joining me in a chat + bevvie! Tom also used to work in the horticulture sector, so has a good green thumb and is keen to get in to any outdoor space available. We have lived together in a sharehouse type environment for roughly 3 years now, so know the drill, and are respectful and tidy - with the classic Kiwi attitude of "no worries bro!". We are both total animal lovers, so pets of any kind are a major winner with us, and we will treat them as if they are our own fur babies. We do love our own space, but also love a family feel to the place with house activities/meals :) Let us know if you have any further questions, or want to catch a drink to further discuss any opportunities! Looking forward to meeting you future housies! :)
Hey there! I'm an advertising writer from the states in Melbourne on a working holiday. I saved up money for years, and can afford to live here without working, those eventually plan to start freelancing at some point. My favorite hobbies are movies, board/card games, poker, going out drinking/eating, and writing. Right now, I'm deep into a project for my friend's video game company back in the USA. Here's a little Imgur album with some pictures and more about me! http://imgur.com/a/SS6eK I plan on staying in Australia for a year, but want to commit to 6 months max at this time (with the possibility of extending!) Thanks! -Jake
I am a student at Unimelb, major in Linguistics and Philosophy. I am usually very busy with my assignments but I still try my best to have some fun hahaha and I'd love to chat with my roommates : ) A little more about me : ) • vegetarian • don't drink / smoke (but I'm ok with it even if you do) • I enjoy cleaning👻 • Maximum 6 months (going on an exchange from September) Move date : before March/10 Looking forward to hearing from you so we can organise a time☺️
Hey! My name is Jess and I'm a 21 year old muso who is looking for a place to call home, not just a place to live! I'm a 3rd year music student studying at the Victorian College of the Arts so obviously music is a huge part of my life. I play violin, guitar, piano and I sing a little bit too so if you're interested in impromptu jam sessions I would be more than ok with that! If not, thats cool too! However, I will need to live with people who at least appreciate music to some degree! I work two jobs where I teach violin to primary school students and work at a nursing home. Now for the selling myself part - I would say that I'm pretty easy to live with; I'm easygoing, considerate of other people, neat and tidy and not too in your face. I'd say I'm reasonably organised, so you won't have to worry about be paying rent/bills on time. In my spare time, I like to read, do all things arty, attempt poi, listen to/play/write music, see live music, go to festivals and spend time with my dearest friends. Ideally, I would like to live with easygoing, good natured, somewhat creative people who are around the same age as me (around 20 - 25) who are down for socialising and hanging out but can also respect my need for alone time as well. I love animals so if you are a pet friendly household I'd have no problem with that at all.
I'm a 18 years old French girl, currently on a working holiday visa. I know that 18 seems young but I'm often told that I'm more mature than people that are my age. I've just left highschool last July and I wanted to take a gap year in order to travel so I can get to know more about myself, get out of my comfort zone and to grow up. I'm actually working as a fundraiser, from 7am to 6pm generally. I only work on week days and during the weekends I either rest or go out with friends. I would describe myself as someone extremely respectful and open minded. I'm also such a friendly and kind person, and I'm very clean and tidy. My main hobbies are photography, art and travelling. I also love to cook but unfortunately I don't have free time and the energy anymore to cook because my job makes my exhausted. However I'm always up for a chat with my housemates, I'm very easy going.
Hello! I'm Saskia, and I'm a 26 year old marketing exec from Perth. I've recently relocated to Melbourne for my job, and am looking for a place as close to my work as possible. I'm super easygoing, friendly, considerate, clean, neat, tidy, and sociable - but I also love staying in and having quality me-time. On weekends, I prefer a nice glass of Port and homeade tapas over partying out, any time. I love to travel, eat, watch soccer, make new friends and would most likely be flying back and forth to Perth often to visit my family from time to time!
I work full time at Melbourne uni (and study part time there too). I can be bubbly and social, but not in an annoying overbearing way and know when to give people their space. I'm respectful and quiet, chill and I reckon I'm pretty easy to get along with. I look forward to hearing from you!
Looking to move ASAP! Heeyy my name is Melissa, 21, English but has lived in Australia half of my life. Been living in Noosa Queensland but looking for a new experience in the city! Very down to earth and friendly, I'm very adaptable and get along with everyone! Im pretty social and love to have drink dates and lunch dates, or going out to gigs. Enjoy my own alone time too to and I've been told im the easiest person to live with hahah. Love nothing more than chilling and listening to good music with even better people. Im very clean and I love beach chills and cooking; Will happily make dinner for my housemates a couple of nights a week if you're into that ha. Been working in hospitality in Noosa for a few years now and I will be doing similar work in Melbourne.
I consider myself to be a peaceful, friendly individual with an open mind. I enjoy spontaneous adventures, treks, Music festivals, fitness. I'm someone who enjoys the company of others and enjoys time by myself equally. I tend to keep things tidy as I have mild ocd. Un-winding with a drink or some meditation is something I tend to engage in. Im from Bombay, India and currently doing my Masters in Monash. Will be spending most of my time studying or working part-time. Looking forward in meeting my new flatmates.
Hi, my name is Jay. I currently reside in Canberra but I am hoping to make the move to Melbourne in the coming months. A bit about myself: 28, single. I am a great person to share with! This is because I've house shared before and I've been through the usual trials and tribulations that present themselves in all house sharing situations. With that experience, I have come out on the other side unscathed and with a respect for others and their personal space. I work full-time Mon - Fri and usually spend my weekends exploring, attempting to get fit at the gym, countering the gym with greasy takeaway food, naps, PlayStation and bar and event hopping in hopes of meeting new and interesting people. What I am looking for: I am looking for a private room in a share house with 1 to 2 other housemates. However, if you would like to consider me for a team-up I'm open to that! I am hoping to find others who are respectful, clean and great to live with. Age, sexual orientation, gender and the like are no concerns for me. Just be yourself and we will probably get along! So with that said if you are seeking somebody who pays their share of the rent and bills on time, who isn't argumentive and loves escalating a joke beyond its limits then I'm your guy!
I'm tidy and friendly - I'm moving to Melbourne up from Adelaide to attend a film course which I am very excited for. I love animals and creating films and making friends but also respect privacy.
We are a group of three people. Lucía and me (Alfonsina) who are uruguayan and this year we are going to study at Deakin University (master degree). Lucía is an architect, I´m a biologist and we are both 27 years old. The third person is my husband, Pasquinell (30), he is from Chile and he is a data scientist. We are very nice and calm people, we are used to share our home and we are very tidy and neat. We enjoy cooking, sharing a beer or a glass of wine with a good conversation, watching movies, reading and listening to music. We like to hang out together but we also appreciate personal space. We have recently arrived to Australia, and we are very excited about this city and the nice people in it.
I'm neat, friendly and respect people's need for privacy. I need a place to move into, that's closer to my workplace, the shops and public transport (train station).
My name is Ben Gunn and I am a 22 y/o recent graduate from the University of Canterbury in NZ. I'm moving to Melbourne on March 8 for a change of scenery, work and to meet new people. I have been flatting for the past 4 years while at uni so I know how to keep a place spotless, respect other peoples boundaries, while also having a good time! I love sports (rugby, cricket, basketball etc) and play a bit of cricket and basketball when possible. I do a bit of gaming on ps4, but don't spend countless hours on it! I enjoy a beer or six every now and then, and always like exploring new places. I am also into learning about the world around me, as I think it is important in today's day and age to have an open mind! You will have to excuse my facebook link, I was using my girlfriends computer and it linked her profile, not mine sorry!
I am a science student studying at the University of Melbourne. I am laid back, and enjoy chilling out on weekdays. I love watching live music in my spare time, and binge watching tv shows.
I am French and 30 years old, clean and tidy. I like to practice meditation, enjoying finer things of life, having a glass of wine... and sharing my favorite chocolate cake! I like to have a balance between my own space and sharing sometimes diner. I play guitar and like reading and photography. I would love to have a sewing machine at home! I am very open-minded and flexible and like to meet new people.
Hi, My name is Monique, i'm 31 years old from Queensland and have been living in London for the past two years. I moved to Melbourne as its the closest place to London, and hopefully the most exciting! I work full time as an event manager, love getting out and about and excited to get to know Melbourne. I do love my own space but would also like to live with someone who enjoys a few glasses of wine occasionally and to have a chat. I'm really friendly and respectful of other people and their belongings and also really clean - l know thats important. Ideally as l will be working full-time in the City, l'd like to live in the City or just outside. Please get in contact if you think i'd be a good fit! Thanks Mon
I am a clean and tidy person who is open-minded and is easy to get along with. I love sport, going to the gym, going out on the weekends and meeting new people.
Friendly, clean, easy going. From the UK originally, in Aus for 10 years. Work in online advertising. Like to cook healthy food, and to get out and about to artsy stuff, live music, etc... Hoping to find somewhere fairly central and someone nice to share with :)
Looking for a double room. Prefer to share with one or two other flatmates, only. I don't want a big house share! Not looking for a party house but definately looking for friendly housemates to have the odd meal and drink with.... I'm looking for a home, somewhere to relax and study, with clean and considerate (like myself) housemates..
Hi there! I'm Rieneke, dutch girl from Amsterdam who just moved here for a PhD at the University of Melbourne, so I'm looking for a nice place to live in Melbourne! About me..I studied geology in Amsterdam and Innsbruck (Austria), now ready to start a PhD in climate research, which luckily enough it became a passion. I also love outdoor, music, salsa dancing, reading, dogs, photography and of course the social stuff. Love to cook, also for roommates. ;) I'm looking for a roommate (or two or three) to share a place with, I'm also open to teamups. I'm easygoing, in for a chat or a drink, I'm clean (although there's nothing wrong with a stain of life happening) and I pay my bills. ;) Cheers, Rieneke
Hello, im Jaime from Mexico. I believe you will not regret your decision in picking me and we´ll start a friendship that will hopefully last many many years. Im currently studying at RMIT architecture and hope to get a part-time job as a waiter or something else. I promise to always pay in time and ALWAYS keep my stuff, room, myself clean jaja. I work full-time as a software engineer and am just looking for a place and a room to call my own. Short term or longer term is fine. I don't do loud parties, I keep to myself mostly and am always considerate of others around me. Being close to public transport is a must!
Heya! I’m Kelsey a 26y/o female looking for a new place to call home and some great people to share it with. Would be interested in teaming up on a new flatshare or coming into an existing. I am a positive, down to earth person, enjoy a good chuckle and am friendly. I get along with most people. I have a 9-5 working remotely as a graphic designer (so I work from home, yes mainly in loungewear.) Because of this I need a room that will also accommodate a desk & bedroom furnishing (I come with my own). In the evening sometime I will side hustle and work on some freelance projects or blogger stuff. I like to be friends with the people I live with so I’d hope we’d catch up every now and again and share a dinner or drink from time to time. I would prefer to live with females but if you’re a male and can keep a clean house I will consider. Enough about me, what’s in it for you? I grantee that I will pay my bills on time, I will clean up and I will be respectful of our home and your space. Move in date..? I am not in a rush. I will need to give notice so give me a few weeks/month to get everything in line.

Hello. I am currently living in a shared household but the lease is finishing and flat mate's moving on. I am a manager in corporate catering, working long hours during weekdays. I occasionally work on weekend but when not working I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, movie or hanging out with friends. I wish to live in a friendly and peaceful environment with sharemate. I am easy going, have love for eminals ( sorry but no raptiles or insect ), happy to have a drink and a chat. I would like to live in a clean and tidy home and share with somebody who is mature and offers mutual respect. Thanks and look forward to meeting you.

From what i've heard, i'm apparently a warm, good natured bloke who loves nothing more than a good yarn and laugh. I'd describe myself as a classic text book introvert; Not much of a party animal, would happily say come down for a good gander but prefer my own company etc... Ideally, I'd like to live within an environment that was relatively quiet, drug free and has a good respect of boundaries.
Canadian musician/writer just finished backpacking the east coast, looking to get acquainted with the Melbourne music scene and meet some locals. I'm super easygoing, would be happy to go for beers and see the town or keep to myself and read a book. I have an acoustic guitar and I aim to find some gigs and some work while in town. Can offer songs, laughs, stories of my travels and general good company!
**Not available to move until the beginning of April** Im 30, just moved to Melbourne from London. Working full time in hospitality, on the Southbank. I'm looking for a forever home as I will be getting sponsored to work and live here. I'm very respectful, clean and tidy. I love to cook and my main passion is baking, so if you love cakes I'm your girl! Subletting until April 7th, so looking for something permenant from then!
We are a married couple who'll be moving to Melbourne towards the end of March 2017. We have a 4 year old daughter who goes to school. I am a chartered accountant, my husband is an ex-army officer and currently a musician. We like to party and live life to the fullest. We go kayaking, mountaineering and hiking together which makes us an adventurous and fun-loving couple. Other than that, we are a young; very easy-going couple who gel in with people quite easily. We like to lead a routine life that starts with a 5 a.m. jog/ gym and ends at 10 pm except for weekends.
Hi I'm looking for short term accommodation. I'm in between houses, waiting for friends to arrive from interstate which we will get a long term rental together. I'm looking for 2weeks - 6weeks short term, negotiable I work in St Kilda in advertising, very easy going and chilled person. 😊
Hi everyone! My name is Safia and I just moved to Melbourne from Canada! I am a very neat and tidy person who is respectful of shared spaces. I'm also very outgoing and easy to get along with. Send me a message if you think I would be a good fit!
We're 2 Vietnamese overseas uni students (23 doing a Master Degree at Monash University in Clayton & 18 doing an Associate Degree at RMIT in the city) and we're looking for a place to stay in Melbourne during our uni years! 2 private bedrooms preferred and our budget is $400-$450/ week (shared). It would be nice if we can rent the unit for our own or share it with a 3rd person if it is a 3 bedroom unit/ house. Because we do have income from our parents as well as part-time jobs, we will definitely be up to date with our payments. We are both non-smokers and we would not mind to have a drink at the end of the day but neither of us are party goers. We would also like to keep our place clean and tidy. Our planned move-in date is after February 20th so please message us as soon as possible if you think we are suitable to live with :) Thank you !

Hello! I'm Stefani, i'm 30. I grew up in Sydney. Recently moved back to Australia after three years living in Europe. I'm about to start full-time work for the Vic government in the city so i'm principally looking for a house or flat in the north melbs area but also very open to other areas for the right house. I'm looking for an established share house, with friendly and respectful flatmates. I enjoy having a beer or fortnightly house dinner with my flatmates if that's what everyone is into, i'm usually a fairly busy person so probably won't be spending too much time at home. I'm pretty easy going on the whole but I do prefer to live in a clean space. On more of a personal note, I love swimming, politics, french cinema and reading the classics. Also absolutely adore dogs so very open to a pup in the house if you've already got one. I've been living in sharehouses on and off for the past twelve years so I'm very respectful of property/neighbours, and i'm a reliable, considerate and respectful person who likes the calmer side of life. I'm free to come by to meet you and see the room whenever it suits so please feel free to get in touch by email. Cheers, Stefani
I love brunching, watching live music, cheese and wine nights, and travelling! I have all furniture, appliances etc. required to start a new place (and an extra queen bed if needed) Ideally need to find a place before 15 March when I will be moving out of my current apartment. I work full time in the city so would be great to find somewhere to live either walking distance or close to public transport - open to suggestions for different areas. I'm originally from Queensland so would prefer housemates who also want to be friends!

Hi! My name is Andrea and I am a Spanish postgraduate student. I will work in Melbourne since March to June, at the Monash University. I am looking for accomodation close to Parkville, Carlton, North Melbourne and Brunswick. Please contact me if you have further questions. Thank you!
Hi, I am a third-year, international student, studying for a bachelor of arts at Melbourne University on an elite athlete scholarship. I'm originally English, but have lived most of my life in Asia including India, Vietnam and Singapore. I'm a clean and organised individual, focused on both my academics and sporting commitments. Cheers, Halcyon
Hi, I'm a part time dad (every 2nd w/end) to my adorable 10yr old daughter, and would like to share a house but I would need 2 bedrooms. In saying that the second room can also double up for guests if the need arises :-) I enjoy creating good food, drinking good wine, and having stimulating conversations as most people do, I also make a good sounding board if you ever feel the need to download from a crappy day. I play guitar on occasion and enjoy most types of music. I am fluent in Auslan as well so if there are any Deaf peeps out there, my home is always Deaf friendly. I'm respectful of people's property, space, and time and expect the same in return. If you think this is you drop me a line! Cheers,
