Hey there! I'm an easy going Australian who's been living abroad (France/Canada) the last few years. I'm a friendly guy and love to meet new people and learn. I cook most my meals at home, clean up after myself and like to be social in common areas. I much prefer to be friends with my housemates rather than just a few people living somewhere together. I'll always be keen for a beer and chat if someone else is. I play guitar from time to time, and try to avoid forgetting the French I've learnt. Besides that I love to keep in shape, running and stretching. I'm just starting a new job working as a Mechanical Engineer in Port Melbourne. And would love to find some like minded people to share 2018 with. :)
I'm a student at the University of Melbourne, just started a masters after working in London for a couple of years. The course is two years, full-time, so ideally I'd love somewhere to call home for at least the duration of my degree, if not longer! I'm a pretty clean, quiet and easygoing flatmate - I've been in flatshares for the past 5 years - I also love to cook, and am generally down for any sort of group dinners or Netflix binges or whatever. This will be the first time I've spent any amount of time in Melbourne, so I'm looking forward to finding somewhere I can experience the best of both worlds. During the week I'd say my vibe is much more 'homebody' - I'll be at uni and/or studying mainly, reading a lot, procrastinating via baking etc., etc., but during the weekend I'm aiming for more of a markets-and-music type thing, provided the procrasti-baking hasn't gotten too out of hand :) A few extra details, I guess - I've not got any dietary restrictions or preferences, though I would of course be respectful if flat-sharing with anyone who does, I would prefer an LGBTQ+ friendly environment, and I'm down for cohabiting with pets, although I don't have any of my own. If none of this sounds unreasonable, I look forward to hearing from you!
Junior doctor working full time. Quiet clean and tidy. Friendly, easy going, respect personal space. Looking for long-term accommodation. Relocating from Brisbane, originally from Hong Kong. Have been sharing house for 5+ years. Prefer a private room with own/ ensuite bathroom. Owns a car, needs parking space.
Hello! My name is Charlotte I am 22 years old and currently studying and working! I am looking to move as my house is being sold, i'm looking for a single room. I pay my rent early, clean and I am respectful to live with-i also love food and cooking :) I have been living in share houses for the past 3 years. I'm looking for a awesome group of people to live with! Please message me if you have any questions and/or if i sound like a good fit :)
We're a couple of friends looking to find a place living with potentially a conscious female who wants to live a sustainable lifestyle. We both would like to get to know our housemates well, and enjoy each others company, although both enjoy time to ourselves too. Matthew - I am what many would call a freegan and I work for a food rescue charity. I spend my free time making music and spinning vinyls, hiking and taking photos. I spend a lot of time meditating and am interested in spirituality. I also thoroughly enjoy making things from recycled timber. I mostly just want to find a place to live alongside people with similar interests to me. I like to go out and party/dance from time to time but am definitely no party animal. Sherwin - I like getting out into nature whenever I can, being active, making people laugh, being genuine, and having long conversations. I like attempting to play an acoustic guitar in my free time, as well as meditation, and reading books about spirituality. I like to keep things tidy but am not fussed if things get a little messy from time to time.
Hi there! My name is Clarissa and I'm 21 years old looking to move out from my current place to save money! I'm hoping to move end of Feb or start of March, so if your place is available for then please let me know! I'm looking for an unfurnished room which can fit a double bed and desk. I am currently working full time at a Finance firm in East Melbourne and studying Accounting part time. I can be quite the workaholic so most nights I get home late or I'll be at uni. So I would preferably like to live near public transport, I do have a car but not high priority to take with me if there's no parking. I am easy-going, friendly, quiet, tidy and reliable. I am more than happy to socialize and help around the house but also happy to keep to myself. I'm no party animal but loves a good chat or hangout. Unfortunately I'm allergic to cats and dogs so unless they're a hypoallergenic breed, I can't live with pets :( I go mountain biking on weekends and love yoga, Netflix, baking and can be easily pursuaded to order a cheeky Ubereats or Foodora. Although I'm looking for a home, I'm also hoping to make some lasting friendships! Feel free to message me for more information! :)
Hi I'm Hannah and I'm currently studying both a Bachelor of Science at RMIT and Veterinary Nursing. Moving out of my current place because it's too expensive and looking for something a bit closer to Camberwell where I am work placement. I am looking for my own room in either a little granny flat or a share house with some similarly aged people that is close to public transport so I can get into the city easily for uni! I am super friendly, love to socialise but at the same time respect other people's privacy. I always clean up after myself and have been living in a sharehouse for the last two years so I know the drill! Message me if you think you might have somewhere I might like :) Hannah
Hello, I am moving to Melbourne at the beginning of February. I will be nursing part-time to earn $$ and plan to travel around Australia, staying around 3 months in each place. I am very easy going, tidy, always up for a laugh or a boogie.
Studying double major in Environments at MelbUni, I tend to spend long hours at library. So when I am home, I like to cook or read a bit. Not a party fan nowadays due to my schedule. However, it is worthy to mention that I do love electronic music. Also work part time as barista in a coffee shop. Plus I love making people laugh so I am willing to have a healthy social communication with my roommates. Also I like to have a clean house, so I am up to help in household duties. Important to say: I will be back in Melb by 6th Feb so I will need some flexibility with the inspection.
Hello ! I am a 28 year old with a French passport but bred in Barcelona. I have been travelling for 6 months before touching ground in Melbourne, where I plan to stay long term. Before that, I have lived for 2 years in London (working in the financial sector) where I have shared 3 apartments in total and looking to do the same here ! I am easy going and love flats with social settings - I am more looking for a nice family-like atmosphere than just a place to sleep ! I will be working part time and dedicating the rest of my time to a side project of my own. Please do get in touch if I sound like a good match and looking forward to meeting you ! Lambert
Hi! I'm 28, just moved to Melbourne, have a permanent visa and will look for a job (work as a mechanical engineer). I'm friendly, easy-going, tidy, non-smoker and love pets (but don't have). Going to make new friends in Melbourne. Looking for only a furnished room to rent for 4-6 months (probably more). Prefer Nothern suburbs, also Western and Eastern, but not far from CBD. My budget is 200 AUD per week including all bills. I guarantee cleanliness and paying on time. Ready to pay a bond and for a few weeks ahead at once.
I am an easy going family man, I need a place to call home while in Melbourne for work. My job is very busy, I love sport and socialising but would generally keep to myself in a shared house situation. I would be around approx 2.5 weeks out of 4 with some longer stints away.
Hey! I'm looking for a room in Carlton North, Fitzroy North, Brunswick East and surrounding areas! I'm 21, in my second year of urban planning at RMIT. I work part time as a claims administrator so during the week i'm generally fairly busy but am always down for a drink, shared meal and going out occasionally. I'm into music (I play guitar), yoga and photography. I'm a vegetarian but have no dramas sharing kitchen space of people with any diet - i love to bake and cook new things. I'm looking for a social and friendly sharehouse, but also like my own space and can respect others. I'm clean and tidy, and have been share housing for over a year and have always paid my rent/ bills on time. If i sound like you have a home for me or want to know anything else, send me a message!
Hi there! I'm a 24 year old recent university graduate who is making the move from Adelaide to Melbourne for work - a 9-5 in a policy position with the Victorian Government. I like reading, writing (or, more accurately contemplating writing), binge-watching shows on Netflix and exploring new places. I'm a pretty laid back person and I'm not against having an occasional drink or hangout with my flatmate but I'm also cool with just doing my own thing. I view home as a sanctuary, a place to unwind after a busy day. I also like having a tidy place (I'm not anal about it though) and am big on everyone contributing equally to keeping the common areas neat. I'm flexible on how long the lease is - anywhere from ~3 months to a year works for me.
Hi there! My name is Natalie, I am 23 years old. I am a food technology high school teacher, I work full time and will be out of the house from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Mon-Fri (there will always be some goodies that I bring home!). On weekends I usually go out or head to the footy, sometimes even chill at home and watch some Netflix if the week has been hectic (which is most weeks are :P)! I am pretty easy going and easy to live with. Happy to do my own thing or chill together with a glass of wine. I am a bit nerdy and I try to lead a healthy lifestyle with the occasional splurge every once in a while. Ideally, I would like a long-term roommate for roughly a year or more, so if this all suits you then let me know and we can arrange a catch up to meet and if all goes well find a place as soon as possible!
Moving from my hometown of Perth to Melbourne in pursuit of a more exciting life in a bigger city! I'm an avid musician, writer, and world-traveller studying literature, and I'm definitely interested in team-ups with other creative types, starving artists, and students in general. The more of us there are, the easier it'll be for us to afford a place fit for throwing parties and hosting couchsurfers! ;) Move in date and preferred length of stay are definitely flexible, and so are my preferred suburbs; although I would rather live somewhere a little more vibrant and central, I'm totally willing to compromise for the right roommates and housing situation. My goal here is to give myself and other students/artists an opportunity for affordable accommodation (anywhere from $100 to $200 a week per-head, preferably on the lower end of the spectrum, even if it means sharing rooms), and to create an environment comprised of diverse, interesting, and like-minded people and good vibes! But I certainly can't do it alone, and don't know anyone in the city -- so if you're interested in putting together the grooviest communal house in Melbourne, please let me know! All races and genders are welcome. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Annie and I are two full time working girls (teacher and media/marketing) who have lived together for a year with a couple (friends) who are moving out together so I we looking to move out of here and making another share house with other like minded people. We are looking for one or two others to join us. We are outgoing and relaxed individuals who enjoy spending time together but also like our own space and respect other space. We are clean and respect others environments. We like to socialise and have fun as well as relax and keep to ourselves at times. I have a pet turtle so he will be joining the house hold outdoors.
Hi! I'm a 30yo visual artist (I work mainly with recycled/ found textiles in Sculpture and Installation). I used to be a classical ballet costume maker in Brisbane, before moving to Melbourne 4 years ago to study Sculpture at VCA). I graduated a year ago, and now I work for Craft Victoria in the city, and as a weekend manager of a reclaimed furniture showroom in North Melbourne, as well as developing my own art practice. (My heart lies in my creative work). I am quite house proud, clean, a non-smoker, meat-eater, calm, a bit quiet at first, happy and friendly. I always pay rent and bills on time, I love having a good chat and caring about (and feeling comfortable with) the people I live with, after a big day I am very happy to have some quiet time too. For fun I like to be with my friends, and go out to hear local bands. I ride my bike most places and I've lived on the Northside since I moved to Melbourne and I love it here. I come with house plants, teas, books and a big smile. I don't have any pets but am very keen to live with one.
Full-time student at the University of Melbourne. Easy going, originally from central Victoria. Am into good films and books, cooking, music. I receive Centrelink youth allowance payments which cover my rent. I'm looking for a relaxed house with people interested in what they do/study.
Just a quick bit about myself: I'm a 25 year old male studying full time Masters of IT. I've lived in share houses before and know how to keep clean and be respectful of others and their privacy. I'm a big fan of the cinema, board games, video games, sports and I'd like to say I'm a pretty social friendly guy - definitely enjoy a drink or two and going out with mates.
Hi :) I'm looking for a private room in a house with a backyard area for my dog, Nugget. I'm clean, respectful, have great awareness and am considerate. I'm friendly and love company, but am quite happy having downtime too. Love dinners with friends but not a massive party person. Nugget is a love unit and will try to sneak a cuddle. She's house trained and I'm continuously enforcing awesome behaviour on her. I'm also happy to team up as I have all the furniture to start up a new place.
Hello from Pakistan! Coming to Australia for the first time, I will be studying full time at Monash city campus. I do not prefer partying as much, I can be social but also respect ones privacy and would love to help around the house! I am a clean and tidy person, i like living in a laid back environment, little fun on the side, love to watch films, listen to music, can cook some things too. Can’t sit around at one place for too long, I walk a lot, always up for hiking or camping out or playing any sport. I also have a musical instrument (Rabab) of Afghan origin which I play then and now, radiating good vibes only!! 22, straight.
