My name is Jenna and I'm from Finland. I moved on my own when I was only 17 so I can guarantee that I wont cause any problems and that I'll keep things tidy. I'm also not that bad at cooking and I really enjoy making tasty food. I haven't have any roommates in the past because its not very common in Finland but here in Australia I would love to experience living with other people and getting to know different people all around the word and to get new friends! I just arrived to Melbourne and currently looking for a job and I'm sure I will find one. Paying rent won't be a problem since I have some savings. On my spare time I like to explore the city, go shopping, go for a drink or few or just stay in watching movies and eat. I also like to party and dancing with a good company. I am a very friendly and positive person who loves travelling, dogs and food :)
Hey, I'm Jess, 27, and am moving down from Sydney to take up full time work with a Melbourne startup. I'm very easy to live with as I keep things clean, am relaxed and have a good sense of humour. I have no problems with hanging out around the house or having a bit of me time. I enjoy going out to gigs & catching up with friends or a night in with beers, bbq's and Netflix. I'm an ok cook, decent baker, like running & have a constant supply of puppy pictures to share. I've spent the past 2 years in Sweden, so I love travelling as well. I'm definitely looking for somewhere I can call home!
Hello, Toby here! I'm interested in finding someone to team up with so that I can find a new home in Fitzroy/surround areas. I am also open to living in an established household in said area. I really look forward to the idea of living in such a vibrant place where there are lots of young people, restaurants, bars and new things to try! I live a very quiet lifestyle throughout the week as I work fulltime. However on the weekend I enjoy going out to try the local cafes/restaurants. Cheers.
Hi I'm Harry and I'm a 23 year old from London. I'm moving to Melbourne in Feb for my masters at Melbourne uni for 2 years. I'm a huge music fan, loving all kinds of music and have been dj'ing for the last 3 years, building up a nice record collection along the way :) I also love going out and going to festivals. I've been travelling for the last 5 months around Asia and I am currently making my way round Central America. I'm very relaxed and easy going and I've been living in 5-6 person houses for the last 3 years and I'd like to find a similar sized house in Melbourne. Please get in touch if you're interested in teaming up or if you have a spare room in your house- thanks!!
Hi guys ! Manami is from Japan and I am originally from France. We used to live in Tokyo and work there as a financial accountant (her) and a public high school teacher (me) but we decided to take a break away from Japan and to move to Melbourne to live and work there for about a year. We are very clean, tidy, always eager to help if you need anything and we are a very friendly and sociable couple. We have no problem living in our own space and doing our own things but we are always more than happy to spend some time chatting, sharing beers or a bottle of wine or going out for dinner. We love to cook (especially French and Japanese food), watch TV shows (if you're looking for people to watch the next season of Game of Thrones with, you just found them!), go out to try new restaurants, bike around the city or just relax. If possible, we would like to leave in a central area of Melbourne so we can ride our bicycles anywhere from there. Our ideal budget would be 300 AUD but if your place is really nice and well located, we are ready to go up to 350 AUD. We would like to move in this month but we are flexible with dates. If you would like us to be your new roommates or if you have any question, please feel free to contact us. Cheers ! Manami and Vince
Hey there Myself and a mate (Alex) are looking for a one or two more people to join our quest for a house in 2017 We're keen for a house to call a home and ideally located near some good coffee/brunch spots in the Fitzroy area. It'd be great if the place had a back yard/outdoor space for a BBQ and good on street parking options I'm currently finishing up a medical degree and Alex is about to start on an astrophysics PhD so we're living the student life but would be keen for someone working or studying full time Hoping to move sometime before January 20th but anytime from now on works really. We're kitted out with most of the essentials (fridge, TV, kitchen stuff, BBQ) but if you have a washing machine, that'd be a bonus We're open to couples but unfortunately no cats (due to allergies) Send me a message if any of that sounds good and we can chat more over a coffee (or Skype if you're overseas/interstate)
Originally from England, I moved here 11 years ago. Recently turned 37, but seem to holding on quite well to my 20s. I decided to re-train as a student primary school teacher, but at 37, I've got my shit together. Not sure if there's a contradiction in there by being a student in my late 30s? After many years of marathon running, Ultras and Ironman - I decided to risk all and walk/run across Australia. Long story. But I didn't make it. I know when to talk, give space and clean up after myself - Im house trained!
Hi, I'm Emily, although only my parents call me Emily when I'm in trouble so lets go with Em. I'm 23, currently working fulltime in sunny Brisbane. Next year in April, I will be venturing down south eventually starting study at the Mercer School of Interior Design in Collingwood. I will have a full time work position secured before moving down. I'm very active, I love my fitness and sport and keeping healthy but I also enjoy socializing and having a drink or two.( Or 1000, kidding- but seriously I do enjoy a good dance and boogie.) If you have pets, I'm also an animal lover. Seeing as I will be leaving my little puppies back with my parents, this would be an amazing extra to win me over. I LOVE old Victorian style places, with clean crisp whites throughout. ( My little pipe dream home) So if you happen to have a room available in such a house, I can guarantee 99% I will be interested. I know a handful of people in Melbourne, so I would love to live with someone who is friendly and sociable so I can meet new people. That's it from me for now :)
Hello! My name is Allie, I am 26 years old and am new to Melbourne/Australia. I am here on a working holiday visa and am eager to find a place and start my job search. I am from California and have just spent the last 4 months backpacking through Southeast Asia. I am really laid back and easy-going. I love music, traveling, dogs, hiking and going out for food and drinks.
I'm pretty tidy! I'm quiet and nice. Very friendly and fun... I'm very open and diverse and get along with others very well. I'm hilarious! I'm very respectful of others space! I am very new to Melbourne but I am open to most areas...as long as there is close access to a tram. I'd prefer a place with access to wifi. Willing to get this on my own (for everyone to use) if not available. Prefer furnished because it's easier. Message me please! I'm available now!
I'm Rachel, 27 years old, lesbian, and office manager with the Greens. I work in the CBD Monday thru Friday and have been living in a wonderful share house in Carlton North for the past year. I’m moving out because I need to find something a bit bigger and cheaper. I'm out of the house a lot because of greens events, friend stuff, and eating out too often. Personality wise, I'm super friendly, and experienced with living with housemates so understand how to be social while giving each other space, I'm vegetarian, non smoker and I have no pets or future plans for pets. I'm a great listener and even better talker, I'm respectful and open, honest and kind. I've been described as laid back, because I'm not highly strung over any particulars in a house (except when people use my expensive shampoo). I'm also pretty neat and grew up with a strict Italian mother who made sure I did my chores. I've never paid a bill late, I don't work paycheck to paycheck so can be relied on for unexpected bills and expenses. I have experience being both a landlord and a tenant, and pride myself on creating healthy relationships with those around me.
I'm a local about to begin studying a Masters program at the University of Melbourne and am looking for a place to stay for a couple of months over the summer. My girlfriend is a design student from the US who's visiting from the 19th of Dec to the 13th of Jan. We're both pretty easy going and like to keep our spaces clean. I may be interested in extending my stay once my girlfriend leaves if the arrangement is working out. Hope to hear from you soon! :)
Im a backpacker from the UK that's just arrived in Melbourne. Im currently working full time as a waiter and I am looking to find a flat to spend the summer in. Im clean and tidy and perfectly happy to cook meals. I enjoy music, gigs, watching sport and the occasional BBQ....

Hi, i'm Emily, i'm 29 and work full time Monday- Friday. I'm pretty chill during the week but enjoy cooking dinner or having a glass of wine and a chat with housemates also. I'm looking to make somewhere my home and not just a place to stay. I like to think i'm pretty easy going, friendly and good to live with and on the weekends I like getting out and about a lot and enjoy going to shows, going on day trip adventures and hanging out with friends in general.
Viv here, 22 this year, I'm graduating from monash and will be working as a full time nurse starting next year. I'm a tidy, friendly and fun loving person. I have two lovely cats who are very well behaved. I love binge watching american tv series and movies, so if you're a fan of HIMYM or Harry Potter we'll have a blast. I have a part time job at the moment so I'm mostly not around during the summer but is always up for hanging out with housemates and have a chill night in with good food and good company. Not a huge party person either. I'm currently looking for a room to let that ACCEPTS PETS and hopefully have hardwood flooring. Looking to start rent in early February. Cheers!
Hi! We are Nick and Emily, a 27 year old couple keen to find some new housemates and an awesome new place. We are originally from Adelaide but have been living in Auckland for the past few years. Emily recently landed a job in Melbourne and moves in January and Nick will follow suit either in late January or early February. Both work full time - Emily as a lawyer and Nick as an accountant. In terms of time frames, we are hoping to land a place from early February and will be looking to sign a new lease with other housemates. We both really enjoy fitness, keeping healthy and are very social. It would be great to find housemates that are keen to have the occasional family meal, share a bottle of wine or a movie. On the weekends you will usually find us at the gym, having drinks with friends or watching the mighty Adelaide Crows. We enjoy a clean house and are always happy to do our bit to contribute!
I am looking at sharing a house as am over living by myself. Currently live in an apartment in Richmond. I work in Banking/Finance and love what I do. In my spare time I love socialising with friends, I play tennis and ride my motorcycle on weekends. I also have a very timid but extremely friendly and adorable dog (Lola - see pic) who loves people and is house trained. Look forward to hearing from you.
Looking to find a great place to live in Melbourne. I've been living in Melbourne for around 6 weeks, staying at my cousins, but now I want to find a place close to the city where I can relax but also have a great time. I'm originally from Manchester, England... and have moved to Australia for work. For work: I work in Marketing for Crown I have a work hard/play hard mentality. I work long hours during the week so like to spend my weeknights either playing sport/working out or relaxing with dinner and a movie. Of a weekend, I like to go out into the city, check out the bars, maybe catch the soccer or go see some live music.
I'm great to live with as I work full time and have my own schedule, however love to have a coffee or hang out if we are all around at the same time. Pay rent/bills on time. Not into a party house, so respect everyone living at the home/house.
Hi Guys! My name is Mitch. I'm a 20 year old student studying teaching at CSU and come from a regional town in NSW, Bathurst. I'm wanting to move to Melbourne for a change of scenery and to try something new. I'll still be studying via distance but am in the process of locating a full time job. Moving to Melbourne isn't going to be a holiday for me, just really keen on new experiences, meeting new people, and enjoying new places. I like going for runs and love to sit and catch up at the end of the day. I like cooking (but I'm no Masterchef) and I am a tidy person (I'm housetrained!). I like to have fun and go on different adventures. Prepared to try anything new and will give anything a go! Disney movies are a win. Love to watch most sports and wouldn't mind going along to some live games! If i have missed anything let me know, and i will let you know.Hope to hear from you soon, thanks!! :)

I'm a 27 year old Barber from England, will be living and working in Melbourne until January, possibly longer depending on how I get on! I'm tidy, love cooking and am generally pretty sociable. Would be nice to live with a few others, but smaller places are all good too.
Hey, my name is Nikki. I am 23 years old and come from Chester in England! I am looking for accommodation from approximately the 14th December. My aim is to live and work in Melbourne and I am looking for some great flat mates to live and socialise with. I am hardworking but also very outgoing. During the week I aim to be in a full time job but do enjoy having a quiet drink in the evenings, either a glass of wine or a gin and tonic goes down a treat. At the weekends I like to socialise. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Hey team So I've been living the dream over in Canada for the past two years. Doing a bunch of cool things like skiing, horse riding, travelling around, drinking etc etc. I'm studying Youth Work full time next year at RMIT so looking for somewhere to rest my head every night. I will most likely be working as well cause I'll need to afford life. I haven't got a job yet- but I'm not worried About that just yet- I'm a decent waitress so the right job will probably present itself. I'm 25 (26 in Jan 😫) I've been waitressing, travelling and ski instructing around the world since I left high school and now keen for something new. The music scene/ creative and chill vibe of Melbourne has definitely attracted me to this city. I'm down to earth, social, very much into gigs and live music- music in general and being around people but also love my down time and respect people's personal space. I've been living in staff housing and share houses throughout my travels so I totally respect different lifestyles, living arrangements, personal boundaries and the big one... being tidy 🙂 I've also been known to have killer dance moves and I can show you my ways if you would like. I'm actually from Coffs Harbour and not looking at moving down until January some time (pretty flexi) but thought I'd get the word out and see if something might present itself. I will fly back down early/mid Jan to have a look at places and meet people if that suits as well. I have references as well if my blurb didn't satisfy you at all!!! Thanks so much!!! Look forward to hearing from some people! Aimee
Hi my name is Courtney and I am studying a health/science degree full-time and working part-time. In my free time I love to travel, spend time outdoors, keep fit, read and head out with friends for a few drinks or find new cosy cafes. I will be needing a new place in February and ideally I would like to find somewhere with a good public transport route into the city and with housemates who are also tidy/respectful & that I can get along with but are also happy to do their own thing. As I am studying full time I would also like to come home to a place that is a fairly chilled/quiet environment most of the time. Feel free to shoot me a message if you think you may have something that suits :) Thanks, Courtney
Hi there! I'm an American college student studying at the University of Melbourne from February 2017-June 28th 2017. I will be in Melbourne the beginning of February, and I'm looking for affordable housing while I study. I'm a courteous, fitness/health oriented, outgoing/social, vegan, open-minded, and organized individual. Looking for share-housemates that share the same vibes as I, and that will become friends. :)
We are 2 easy going individuals who met a few years ago and became friends when I (Rebecca) was there on working holiday. I am from the US and will be moving back to Melbourne to complete my masters in media at RMIT and work part time. Dan originally from NZ has relocated to Melbourne and works full time here. We both like to get away travel when possible and will almost never turn down a beer with mates and just hang out.
Myself and my friend are coming to Melbourne on Jan 14. We both have completed engineering. We both are looking rooms at an affordable amount. We both are jovial and adaptable to any situation.
Hi Everyone, My name is Niketa and I will be arriving in Melbourne on January 2, 2017. I am looking for a place before I arrive. I will be attending Melbourne Law School in February 2017. I am originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Criminology and I am now pursuing my law degree. I want to find a place that is about a 15-20 minute commute to school. Also, I prefer a private bedroom with it's own washroom (ensuite preferred). I am a mature, energetic, independent young woman who has a vast array of dreams and ambitions to accomplish. I have a great sense of humor and I would say that I am a very social person, but I also like my alone time especially when it comes to studying for school. I'm a huge foodie. Toronto has every cultural restaurant you can think of and I love going out to restaurants to try different foods as well as cooking at home. My specialty though is baking cheesecake with a twist. I also love to read, dance and listen to music on my down time. I love the outdoors. I enjoy rollerblading and going for walks/hikes.
I consider myself to be a friendly and considerate person. very enjoy my private time but also respect the privacy of others. I'm a drama free, laughing, easy going guy. looking for someone like me also no weirdo or bad temper. cheers!
Hi i'm Mikayla, i'm looking for some accomodation (females only) in Melbourne. I am a cheerful friendly person easy to get along with, i like to keep things neat and tidy and i will always clean up after myself. I am looking to move up from the country to become a student after taking one year off saving money, working as a barista. In my spare time i love to dance, occasionally go out or just hang out with friends watching movies and eating snacks. I am also looking to make some great life long friends!
I'm a pretty relaxed 20 y/o guy looking for people happy to be friends with housemates. I'm working 2 jobs part time until I start an electrician apprenticeship in April, and when I'm not I'm usually out with friends as much as possible so you'll have the place to yourself! I have a super friendly 4-year-old Australian Terrier so a place with some kind of outside space is definitely needed. Looking to move in Jan.
Hey! My names Bianca, I'm a bubbly and chilled out 24yo female moving from Perth to Melbourne to study at RMIT. I'm an artist and live a very low maintenance, relaxed lifestyle. I'm insanely clean, and especially considerate of other peoples space. I also love spending nights in watching movies or relaxing. I'm quite active, and love staying healthy. I don't require a huge bedroom - big enough for a double bed and storage space. I'd love enough room to draw comfortably and a room with great lighting. I also need storage of my motorcycle - it doesn't need to be secure (although this would be fantastic) but needs to be off the road and out of street view. If you think you have the space for me then let me know!! In regards to team-up, I have a friend who also wants to move out and we would love to find a third person to look for a place with us! if you are looking around the same areas and similar budget, send me a message!
We are both easy going, tidy and very social. We are moving from Darwin for a better lifestyle and more career opportunities. We would like to find a place near the city in a friendly share house. We both have lived out of home before so we respect the responsibilities that come with living in a share house. We keep to ourselves but also would like to be able to socialise with our housemates. We are tidy and respect the communal areas. We are excited to meet new people abs start our new life in Melbourne
I'm James, a 24 yr old kiwi working in advertising. I have been in Melbourne since April and am looking for a quiet and sunny room in a central inner-east suburb. I'm a laid back, friendly guy who is looking for a place to call home and to make new friends and hang out - but I also enjoy a bit of quiet time. I like things to be clean and tidy, but I'm always up for having people over for a few drinks during the weekend. I work in advertising, so if I'm busy, you may not see me for four days, but at the end of it I'll be craving a few drinks and a good laugh. I enjoy eating out and going for drinks, seeing exhibitions and gigs, as well as making the effort to squeeze the odd run in too. Can cook, and happy to share meals if you are too.
I am hoping to find a place living with other conscious individuals who live a sustainable lifestyle. I am what many would call a freegan as I work for a food rescue charity, so pretty much a vegan. I like to spend my free time making music and spinning vinyls, hiking and taking photos. I spend a lot of time meditating and am interested in spirituality. I also thoroughly enjoy making things from recycled timber. I mostly just want to find a place to live alongside people with similar interests to me. I like to keep things tidy but I'm also not fussed when things get a little bit messy from time to time. I like to spend time on my own but also enjoy the company of others and I would like to get to know my house mates well. I like to go out and party/dance from time to time but am definitely no party animal.
Hello! I'm a trainee architect from the UK who's just moved to Melbourne on a working holiday visa. I'm available to move immediately. I like to think of myself as a pretty personable and sociable guy and enjoy nothing more than getting to know new people over a drink. I am also clean and considerate of those who I am sharing accommodation with. I also love to cook, so just consider how much better your place will smell and how much better your tea might taste on one of my more generous days if you make the wise decision of picking me ;) Look forward to hearing from you.

I am very easy to live with because I clean after myself, I am independent and respect other people's space, and I am honest, trustworthy and easy going.

We are an easy going English couple who enjoy great food, music, chilling in, fitness and exploring. We are looking for a room for a min of 4 months! Hey there! I'm Lea and I've been in Melbourne since June and worked here as an artist in residence. I originally planned to go back home to germany in january but earned some extra money with art stuff, so I can afford to stay a bit longer (until mid February). I'm friendly and easy going, into art, music and fashion, love nights with a bit of wine (or beer. not too picky there) but also love to just chill and watch a movie
I'm Holly. I currently live alone & I am wanting to get back into share housing to save money. Have lived in share houses before, but after living alone for a whole year, it's a little bit scary. Looking for some super chill housemates, preferably don't want to live in a community bigger than 3. A mixture of male & female would also be nice, preferably in the age bracket of 22-32ish. I am really chilled out, not much phases me, except for racism, sexism, homophobia & close mindedness, those are a few of my not so favourite things. I cook well, even if I do say so myself, but I do eat very plant based and I love to grow my own herbs and the odd veggie or too. I like to keep a clean and tidy house, though I do understand that life sometimes gets in the way & mess is sometimes un avoidable. I'm a bit of a workaholic. I don't work full time, instead I keep 2 casual Jobs a day jon & a night job, which usually take up about 40 hours of my week, so I do spend a lot of timeout of the house. I'm a creative person & can be a bit of a night owl. I like to be quite sociable, but can be introverted, so I do need a bit of my own space. I am how ever almost always keen to share a bottle of red over a debrief at the end of the day. Let me know if you would like to team up and find a place, ideally thats what I would like to do as I have a fair amount of furniture from my current apartment. I'd love to get coffee and have a chat about what you want in a housemate. :) Please feel free to message me, I may be a little slow in responding though as I do have a lot on my plate at the moment.
