We are a couple from Ireland and are moving to Melbourne in October for at least 2 years. We are sociable, easy going, fun loving, interesting people and we are easy to live with. We get up early and work hard (we are both Dentists) but also like going places and doing cultural things. We are active people and like gymming, CrossFit, running, footy, yoga, surfing, snowboarding/skiing. We also like to eat healthily and love coffee! We do have many other interests also, watching films, reading and we have travelled all around the world making friends with people from all backgrounds. We also love to have a drink (or 10) at the weekend or when we have time off and would hope to make friends with the people we like with and not just share a house! We've come to Melbourne to experience a new city and meet some new people. Looking forward to hearing back from you! Rebecca + Joseph
Hey guys! I’m Nila, I’m 23 and studying a Master of International Relations at Melbourne Uni, while working part-time at Oxfam Australia in Carlton. When I’m not studying or working I’m mostly out with friends picnicking in Edinburgh Gardens, having a beer at the pub or going to a gig, music festival, or on the odd camping or hiking trip. At home I’m usually watching a good tv show (or trash tv, let’s be honest), reading, cooking or trying to keep my houseplants alive. I’m looking for friendly and down to earth housemates who are open-minded, clean and willing to do their fair share around the house (the usual stuff), respectful of other people’s space and downtime but also keen to have a chat/drink/dinner together every now and then! I’m a huge animal lover and have plenty of experience living in share houses here in Melbourne and overseas. I’m looking to move in around late October, but willing to pay rent from when the room is available. If there’s anything else you’d like to know about me please get in touch!
Hi my name is Omar, I'm currently a PhD student at The University of Melbourne. This is my first year in the city. My girlfriend and I are looking for a place close to the Uni (a one-bedroom apartment if possible) to live there at least one year.
I'm feminist, easy-going, helpful and reliable woman who is respectful to others and doing a PhD in psychology and sessionally working as a lecturer. I live tidy, clean and minimal. I like having a chat with friends. I love books and listening to other people's stories.
I am an American traveling in Australia over the next year before I go back to school. My plan is to live and work in Melbourne for the foreseeable future. Looking for roommates in a relaxed living situation. I am clean, easy going, and dependable. I am a great roommate because I am easy to get along with, respectful and like to have fun. Also I am a great cook and would love to make authentic Mexican food for my new roommates!
I'm a 25 year old makeup artist moving to Melbourne from Sydney. I love music, reading, crappy reality tv, keeping active and a bit of banter. I'd love to meet people who enjoy sharing a glass of wine but are also happy to do their own thing, as I'll be relatively busy. Hope to hear from you soon!
I'm Hugh and I work in Education policy for the State Government. I am originally from the Yarra Valley but have been living in and around the CBD for the last few years, looking for a relaxed house but having lived with a partner and by myself in the past I am happy to do my part of household chores, paid shared costs and keep an all round tidy home. Keen for a bit of social time and happy to have a conversation after work or share a meal but also perfectly happy to spend time on my own. Am vegetarian but have lived with people who eat everything and do not mind at all. I'm also LGBTIQ+ friendly.
We are clean, tidy, respectful, down to earth and easy to get along with :). We like to keep to ourselves and aren't looking for a party house but don't mind socialising and having a good time by any means!! We're moving from Brisbane to Melbourne and would love to sort out an easy start before moving, as opposed to being in a hotel while looking for a place, so if you're keen to set up an inspection please let us know ASAP :) Suzi has family friends who can help with work just not accommodation, around sunshine, so near there is preferrable but retty much anywhere in Melbourne would be okay :)
My name is Tom and I am 19 years old from London , United Kingdom. I have recently moved over on a working holiday visa for a maximum of 2 years. I am looking to find a room in a house with other young adults - starting November 2018. I am excited to get to know Melbourne and all of the things it has to offer. I enjoy sports, music, theater and socializing. Keen to meet people with similar interests or someone to have a laugh with. As I do not know Melbourne yet it would be good to meet people who can give me a few pointers on places to go as well as areas to look for work. Really easy going and a fun guy to be around - I am very relaxed but also very respectable when it comes to communal spaces and sharing a house. I have experience in bar tending and cocktail making - one of the reasons I wanted to move to Melbourne was to experience the extensive cocktail industry that Melbourne has to offer.

My partner and I are 22yo and our friend Kyle is 18. We are all very relaxed, opened minded, and are looking to move closer to the west/north side (with some exceptions). I work in Australia post in sunshine and currently live in a Pakenham (It’s insane I know!!). We are all relatively private people, and like our own space but do love to socialise and hang out. We all love the outdoors as well. My partner and I have a dog named Hannibal, he just turned 1 and don’t let the name fool you, he is the biggest sook for affection ever. He just wants love, kisses, cuddles, and maybe some of your food ;) (but don’t worry he does not beg). He is fully house trained, very obedient and short furred. Brad is currently studying and looking to work with me after his studies, hopefully by next year. Ideally we would like to all have a room of our own, but my partner and I are also happy to share one larger room together. Being close to public transport would be great, as none of use a car. Closest to train stations would be ideal, if not any buses work too. Hopefully we are what you are looking for :)
Hey , I’m from Sydney, currently working in Marketing and Events. I’m friendly, clean, easy going and considerate. I live a clean and healthy lifestyle style, I go out with friends to bars and restaurants on the weekends or stay home and watch Netflix. I’m always happy to talk, but also respect space and privacy as I hope for the same. Im looking for a private room , and it would also be great to find a roommate who lives a similar lifestyle and doesn’t party too hard. I’ve been sharing for many years and found good communication to be the key to a functional and happy household😊 If you have any questions please feel free to message me. Thanks !
I’m easy going male IT professional with stable income employed at University in fulltime capacity (Mon - Fri / 9-5). I'm clean, tidy, respectful of other's personal space and am always up for a chat. Please let me know if I sound like a good fit for your home and I can come and meet you.
Hey I'm Jay! I'm basically a middle-aged woman trapped in a mid twenties body... love wine and silliness with the gals but also very happy in my dressing gown with a cup of tea. I work full time at a uni so I'm out of the house 9-5 during the week. Hoping to move into a place with a similar vibe!
Hi! My name is Anthony, i'm from Greece and i'm nearly 30 years old. I currently live at my own house with my family but now i would like to live independently. I'm working full time and i have a small side business. I respect every person's privacy and try to keep noise in normal levels during quiet time. I enjoy relaxing at the living room or backyard with friends or listening to music, also in my free time i'll go to the gym.
Hey, I'm Simon. I'm a pretty busy guy, started a standup comedy record label I've been doing a heap of work on recently which is great, also love playing futsal, homebrewing beer (in tiny, fits in my bedroom type quantities), making delicious foods and hanging out, having a chat and getting to know people. Have a lot of energy though so busy as I am I still always find time for new things. For work my main thing is I'm an engineer at a chocolate factory and I also have a job hosting trivia sometimes. Housemate wise I think I'm super considerate and tidy in shared spaces and I hope just a generally nice person to be around.
A little about myself. I’m pretty social and love my down time when I get home as my work can be high pressure. Patient Transport Officer, (Ambulance Attendant), . However love a glass/or 5 of wine (Red) and chat after work. Enjoy/love my food and a wine - watching movies, reading, sport-(watching) also exploring. Happy to share cooking or not - not fussed - same with grocery shopping etc. I’m friendly and easy to live with, very clean and tidy, looking for someone similar not the "Party" house type. Regards Pete
I'm a self-employed photographer, which means I work from home or a cafe quite a lot. I'm currently living at home in Northcote, but I'm looking for a place to make my own, with like-minded others that I can come home and have a G&T with and brainstorm/vent about business and life. Things you should know: Strong latte no sugar - a real no bullshit coffee order I'm one of those guys with the modified cars - don't hold it against me I don't go out much to party these days, but when I do I usually end up significantly drunker than I think I am I have a lot of shit; Camera equipment and the likes, so I'm chasing a big space I love playing music out loud - mainly house and disco, during the day as I work. Not a shit bloke - at least that's what Mum tells me
Hi, I'm Sam, short for Samuel.... Nah it's Samantha haha I'm 28 years old, I'm a happy homer. Meaning I am a massive granny. I am always working and editing and making Art. I am a Photographer and Swimming Teacher. What I can offer... I come with everything some furniture, cooking appliances, plants and my green thumb and friendship and a call away to rescue you in any situation and I'll beat down anyone hurting my roomies. About me, I'm not home often because I go on several adventures and drives and do shoots. I work during the day and night shooting gigs. If I'm home I'll be editing and probably cooking. I'll always reach out and love to catch up and hang and have a tea. I don't mind pets or smokers, pets make everything so much better. I am looking for a place with some storage and built in wardrobes! Looking forward to hangs, good times and making a peaceful home to come to after a long day.
I'm Alice - I'm a 26 year old Master of Environment student. I love cooking vegan food, op shopping, hiking, gardening, and talking politics. I'm striving to be as eco-friendly as possible, so try to shop low to zero-waste whenever I can. I also work part-time in a little spice store in the city, so I'm a relatively busy gal! I'm a kind and caring person, and while I love my down time and respect the need for individual space, I'm also a great listener and am always happy to share a meal, a nice glass of wine or cup of coffee. I'm also very tidy. :) I'd love to find housemates with similar lifestyles and values who are keen to make the house a home. I'm also keen to start or help out with a veggie garden, and am hoping to get a worm farm started! I'm financially stable and have been living out of home since I was 22, so I've got all the essentials like paying bills and doing chores down pat. Looking forward to hearing from you!
My partner Laura and I are looking for a room to rent in the inner north. We are both youth workers (for the council and in youth homelessness) and enjoy being close to good food, art and music. We love to travel and like to do this regularly. We are both from Melbourne (born and bred)!!
My name is Alex. I’m an art therapist/Artist from Sydney, but have lived in a Melbourne for 6 years. I work as an art therapist and support worker. I also work casually at T2 (the tea store) so I have LOTS of tea for my new home. I enjoy keeping active and spending time with mates on the weekends, but would also love a place where I can occasionally share meals and have chats with my housemates. I love going to try new cafes or restaurants in melb, and I’m always up for going to see some live music. I’m clean and respect my sharehomes and communicate well with my housemates. Would love to contribute to making a nice home, rather than just a place to sleep!
I'm friendly, I love yoga, running, being outdoors, languages and love meeting new people. I'm an English teacher and work in the CBD and Deakin University week days. I am looking to start a new chapter in Melbourne hopefully with friendly new housemates. I rent my own appartment out in Canberra so I respect the need to look after someone else's shared space.
