After 12 years working and traveling around the world as an events manager and performing arts producer I'm about to embark on a new journey to start a new career in Chinese Medicine. I will begin my studies at RMIT in Bundoora in February. I'm a little scared but I'm mostly excited to start the next chapter. I'm very active, I love the outdoors, I love to travel and explore. I enjoy yoga, I prefer to cycle than drive and I spend many of my weekends skydiving. My life may look a little different next year but I will keep as much adventure in it as I can. I prefer to live with only one or two others and I enjoy keeping a reasonably tidy home. I love my own space and often crave alone time, but I also enjoy sharing stories over dinner and a wine and occasionally chatting into the early hours. I desperately want a backyard and a veggie garden. I don't have a pet, but I do love animals.
Looking to start a new place, got a bunch of cool furniture that I'd like to deck the place out with. Prefer somewhere with a backyard for sunny fun timez. About me: - laid-back, open-minded - full-time drug and alcohol worker in the north east - studying Master of Counselling - dance classes, gigs, and nature walks in my spare time - have lived in share houses for a fair while so familiar with the loo roll buying/dish-washing dealio - big on recycling
Hi there, my names Zach whats yours? I am relocating to Melbourne from Sydney in early March and I'm looking for a place I can call home. I work full time as a creative technologist and for the most part yes, I can fix your computer. I'm a Libra and enjoy balance - If I sit too much during the day, I'll walk home. If I eat a heavy lunch I'll have a light dinner, If I give you my opinion I'll sit down and listen to yours. I love cooking and the act of cooking for others. I've been working on it for a while now and haven't seen anybody spit out what I've made so... I'd say I was a good cook, I also like the occasional beverage though I'm not much of a drinker during the week. I'm looking for good quality people to call housemates/friends that enjoy the odd bit of banter as well as their own space. I admire people who are honest and upfront. I'm originally from New Zealand and yes, I can provide a police check ;) I also love rabbits :) I'm a really relaxed guy who likes to keep busy, I'm respectful, considerate, tidy and active. Cheers!
Hi, my name's Justin, I'm a 38 year old barista, and musician in my spare time. I'm pretty quiet around the house, but like to make a little noise with my guitar when no one is around (I have weekdays off, so this usually works out pretty well). I've been renting with a married couple in a house they own for nearly 4 years, and moving on due to upcoming renovations of my room. Always considerate, tidy, clean, think communication is important (like to know if I'm doing something that annoys others around the house, yet pretty tolerant of other's quirks). Always on time with rent, and like to keep on top of my share of house chores. Friendly, love a chat, but sometimes keep to myself for a while to rejuvenate after a day of working with people in hospitality. I'm looking to move within a month, and am free to move pretty much as soon as something suitable comes up. Thanks, Justin.
My name's Carolyn 🙂 I’m a 27 year old, full time student. I study Speech Pathology in the city. I've recently moved out of a full time care position. I’m looking for something soon, long-term, and a safe place that feels like home. I've had previous sharing experience, so I come house trained. I’m neat, friendly and easy-going... And an open communicator. I enjoy BBQs, going to gig’s, shared TV watching, reading, tennis, films, playing and listening to music. I love nature and the outdoors... Music is very much a love of mine, I have a few instruments and play them, but I'm considerate with timing and noise (have headphones!) I'm very much into respecting others, their space and peaceful living. I like to be involved and contributing to a community feel of a place, but also really enjoy my alone time some days. I have a cat called Froot who'd be coming with me. He’s fully house trained and mostly an indoor guy because he’s scared of birds. We go for outside walks 🍃🐈 🐾on his lead... He also turns into a good alarm clock if you ever feed him. I'm a relatively busy person that likes focusing on my studies. I volunteer at the Children First Foundation, and have a boyfriend who's place I stay at sometimes. I'm financially reliable and pay my bills on time... I receive government funding while I'm studying that covers rent. As well as currently looking for a new job on top of this. I'm not looking for a party house. I don't smoke or do drugs. I like a scotch every so often with a movie. I'm LGBT+ friendly. Easy to get along with. I like being environmentally conscious, but don't push my views on others. NRSA approved. Have a valid police check... ? I'm looking for places with aircon, dishwashers, etc... Something easy to clean. With a small garden if available. I come with: - My bedroom furnishings. - L shaped couch. - Small coffee table. - A rug. - a coffee machine. - A desk. - A bookcase. - An outdoor table (could be used as a dining table). - Small outdoor bar fridge. - Sound system. - TV. - TV unit. - Playstation 2 & 3. - Heaps of 64 games. - An extensive DVD collections. - Kitchenware. - Plants :) (these can be kept in storage if space doesn't permit). Anything else you'd like to know please feel free to ask! So yeah, send me a PM and we'll grab a coffee or something It would be great to hear from you! Thanks, Carolyn.
Hi there. I'm Sinead, moved to Melbs from country NSW. Looking for new place to call home. I'm with my beaaautiful blue heeler pup Billie. Shes the greatest dog ever born. Need a place with backyard and close to parks. We love nature and want to be really close to it! Hoping to find someone chill and friendly. We don't know anyone here so also hoping to find a friend in a housemate! I like beer a lot and chillin in the arvo sun eating good food and enjoying the finer things in life. Beer; tunes; wine + cheese; nature; walking in nature; picnicking... that kind of thing! I work shift work and long hours, but have 4 days off at a time. So would need someone that doesn't mind looking out for my pup while I'm at work. But you wouldn't mind. because shes a damn good dog! Ok. Hit me up if your keen. SEEYA
- I own a 2ft tropical fish tank that I keep in my room (never had any water damage in current rental) -I'm a finishing Uni student (IT Networking) with Deakin and working Full time in Melbourne CBD for the Bureau of Meteorology - I'm very clean, respectful and quiet with a broad range of interests - I don't go out drinking and partying all night as I am looking to save for a home - I'm happy to do shared meals and am a great cook (also happy to cook for myself) - All my housemates love me and currently want me to stay (need to move closer to melbourne) - Massive nerd and get along well with a variety of people
I like my space and quiet time, but I'm also up for good chats and exploring Melbourne. New cafes and bars get me excited. I love hiking, boardgames and dance parties. I work from home or wherever I sit my laptop down. I play a little guitar and like reading good books.
Friends complimented that I'm a good housemate, if I saw something is out of the house's system, I'd be the one on it, no questions asked! I'm just also super easy to live with, a funny vibe to be around with and pretty much can socialise with anybody. At the moment, I work as a bookkeeper from 9-5 in Collingwood, that's why I need to find another accommodation which is closer to the office. Even with tight schedule, on the weekdays/ weekends, I'd be down to do fun stuffs and spend time with housemates, like, drinking 'not too blind' but still manage to go to work at 9am. Please hit me up if you're in need of housemate who's always willing to lend his shoulder for a drinking session!
Hey :) I've just moved to Melbourne from the Sunshine Coast QLD (currently staying at my grandparents until I find a house). I'm working as a registered nurse in Heidelberg and looking for a house to call home not too far away from there. I love Mexican food, music festivals and a glass (or bottle) of wine (or vodka, cough) on the weekends. Being a social person, I would love somewhere where the house is like a bit of a family, but I also appreciate time to myself. I've lived out of home since I was 18 (including a little stint in Canada) and in that time I have never missed a rent payment. I was in my last house for 4 years and I only left to move down here so I'm pretty reliable as well. I do have a car, so somewhere with a place to park is necessary (even if it's just on the street), and I will need somewhere with a wardrobe as I managed to bring quite a bit of clothes down with me. Any questions (or medical advice), feel free to ask me but I'm an easy going, clean, fun young gal looking for the perfect house to start my life here in Melbourne! x
I'm a project manager working for a large consulting firm in Melb CBD. I enjoy going to the gym, eating too much food, movies and travelling. I'm easy going and usually up for a chat or a drink but I also understand and respect people's space. Ideally there would be a garage spot for me or secure carport plus unrestricted street parking or something along those lines but it's not essential. Also my own bathroom is a plus. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.
I'm currently undertaking my final year of a Doctor of Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne. I work part time at a brewery in Dromana (I am originally from Mornington) and as a sports trainer for a VNL netball team. I also play netball and love doing pilates & yoga classes in my spare time. I love the beach & the snow - snowboarding is my main hobby in the winter months. I'm generally pretty busy, so tend to do my own thing - but am friendly and always happy to have a catch-up chat over a wine or a solid Netflix session. I'm clean, tidy, organised & respectful of privacy. I'm very reliable with rent & bills - always happy to pay/transfer immediately. Ideally looking to live with just 1 other female who is similar to me and have my own bathroom - however that's flexible if a good option comes along.
I'll be on exchange at La Trobe in February 2018. I'm a Thai student who grew up in an international school with friends from different cultural backgrounds. I speak fluent English. I'm outgoing, open minded, friendly, and most importantly, CONSIDERATE; so I hope I find like-minded people. I'm extremely excited to spend six months in Melbourne and meet new people. Partying sounds awesome, but just not too often. I don't mind pets at all, and I hope to meet cool people in Melbourne! Hygiene is very important as I'll be keeping my room clean.
I'm an arborist and a former journalist who digs cycling, cooking, camping, growing things and hanging out with people who are awesome. And climbing trees. I am super laid back and (i think) pretty easy to live with :) Would love a house with some sort of garden.
Hi, LOOKING FOR A HOME ...I AM VERY EASY TO LIVE WITH AND HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR... I am looking for a nice relaxed place to live, I would like my own bathroom, and I am very flexible with the location I am more interested in having a home rather than just a room. I am a writer/director working on the third draft of an Aussie Comedy hoping to shoot the film early 2019, I am in the process of raising the budget. I am a clean tidy considerate person who has a great sense of humour, I like a laugh a meal and a glass of wine, but I also value my space and give you yours, I also pay my bills and rent on time. At the moment I will be writing from home so a study or my own lounge, or even granny flat or studio would be helpful but not a deal breaker as I am looking for an office this year. I am studying film editing on final cut pro. I do have a 11 year old WELL TRAINED AND LOVED DOG AND A LITTLE BLACK CAT so it's important that they have a little space and are safe. I am flexible with moving dates bathroom and budget. Cheers Peita:)
Rad human looking for a HOME and/or WORK/MUSIC/TEACHING SPACE (together or separately)! Do you want an awesome new housemate to fill a room in your home, or do you have a spare office/room/studio you’re not using all the time and would like to make some extra $ from? Or maybe you have both in one!! I’m a responsible, clean, friendly, 28yo voice coach/singing teacher/musician/artist looking for a long term home, and also a working space to teach my voice students from. These can come together or separately! Total rent budget for both: $1k/month max, preferably more like $900/month. Ideally I’d be paying like $700/month or less at home and $200/month for studio. ----- HOME STUFF: I'm a 28 year old friendly & housetrained musician, I have a steady income teaching voice, modelling, & working in events. Been renting for 11 years and never had trouble paying rent or bills. I'm super clean & tidy. I sing a lot but I'm apparently pretty good at it. (I don't mind if you sing badly though! No judgement!) Queer-friendly & left leaning, ideally you would be too. I don't drink much but up for a wine now and then (I drink like 2 glasses max so I’ll ask for your help if I buy a bottle of red), I don't smoke (no indoor smoking houses please). Looking for somewhere preferably northside, no more than 20min drive to Brunswick, preferably more like 20min cycle or if not then close to trains :) I wanna live in a HOME, not just a house... with friendly people who have their own lives and value time alone, but also want to hang out regularly/chat at the end of the day over a meal or wine or tea and share a meal or do stuff together now and then. I'm done with houses where I hardly ever see anyone, time for a housefam vibe! Bonus points if you're musical/artsy, especially if you like funky music, and the decor style is art & houseplants. Super bonus if the house gets good sunlight…! I need somewhere off-street to chain up my little postie motorbike (garden/side path is fine). I come with hardly any furniture (so I'm looking for an already established place), but I do have a (very small, halfsize upright) piano I would love to bring, so hopefully there's a nook for it somewhere? (you are welcome to play it!) If there’s no room for it / already a piano in the house (!) I can put it in my studio, so no biggie. I'll be away for 2 months in either May/June or June/July, so you'd need to be okay with me sub-letting my room (in home only, not the studio) during that time (but I am very protective of my home & belongings, so you can bet your booty I'll be choosy about who comes in, and you get a say in it too of course. Usually I get someone I know from Tassie.) --- TEACHING SPACE STUFF: requirements: - in or close to Brunswick - power, reliable wi-fi - walls that attach to the ceiling (enclosed room) - I need to be able to store stuff there securely (table & chairs, keyboard & guitar, etc) - No issues with me making noise (mostly it’s pretty low level but occasionally louder singing/belting happens) - Good air quality (no incense, indoor smoking, or other air pollution) - Kitchenette with microwave onsite helps too but not essential. I teach a maximum of 15hrs/week, often much less. Between the hours of 12pm - 8pm only. Can condense it into 3 days if necessary. More than happy to share rooms with others (but need exclusive use of the space during teaching hours). I'd love to be in a studio community environment with other people around doing cool things, but also could easily use a spare room/office in someone's house, etc. ---- Finally, I am open to teaming up and starting a new home together if the perfect people show up. If you wanna try this, let me know. Hit me up if you think I might be a good match for your home! I can move in literally any day, or if I do something temporary for living in until I go away, I’ll be looking to move in to a longterm place in July. Cheers y'all xox
