Hi, I'm from France and I m coming back for a 2nd year in Melbourne and for this year I would like to find a nice place to stay around this beautiful city. I m working in filmmaking industry and I also have other jobs in hospitality. I m easy going, I like to talk about everything, having a coffee or a beer, share a meal... I love cooking, watching movies and do some sport. I also like to have my own time to relax... Anyway I'll be more than happy to meet you in person to talk everything. See you soon, Solène
Hey everyone, my name's Amber. Turned 30 this year and looking for a massive lifestyle and inspirational change - want to get away from Sydney as soon as possible and relocate to Melbourne. A bit of background on me - I've been a multi disciplinary Artist since I was a child, with a main focus on Acting, Singing and Musicianship. Completed my tertiary education in Acting and I'm currently doing distance study in Electronic Sound Production and Indigenous Studies, to help expand my mind and teach me new skills. I love to read and learn, have solid conversations and a good laugh, share knowledge - books and artworks make up 70% of my earthly goods! A few of my interests include Reading, Playing Guitar, Socializing with friends on the weekend, Writing, Dancing, Acting, Cooking, Travel, Theatre, Music Production and Songwriting, Singing, Yoga and Martial Arts, Gaming (Xbox 360 - I have one to bring to the house and a load of games, if that's your thing too), binge watching Netflix or getting into some hardcore SBS on demand / ABC iview when I have free time, Photography and Art of all forms. Social justice, human/civil rights and equality are vital concepts to me. By no means a definitive list, but it gives you a bit of an idea. I'm friendly, respectful, fun, keep things in the house clean and am a weird balance of someone who likes to say hi and be social round the house when it suits people, but can also respect your space/privacy and like to enjoy my own when I'm feeling hermity too - hopefully you won't be the type to take it personally if i need some time out to myself. Not a precious princess about things and am really adverse to passive aggressive types - if you're not the sort of person that can just have a calm, upfront chat and nip it in the bud if I accidentally do anything to annoy you, then we probably won't enjoy living together. I'm a smoker, although more than happy to go outside if you're not, as this is most people's preference, I'm not obnoxious about it and respect people's needs. Constantly burning fragrant oils / candles and incense anyway and am very conscious of mutual space, nothing like coming home to a house that feels welcoming and smells divine. Not a huge party animal, though I do enjoy occasionally having people round sometimes - during the week I'm pretty chill (although, also not boring hey - totally not adverse to cracking some wine or beers while cooking / having a friend round when the mood strikes - I'm a pretty mean cook, double plus bonus!). Weekends are always easier for getting out and about or catching up with people. If this sounds like someone you wouldn't mind sharing space with, let me know. Thanks in advance mates, look forward to meeting some like minds - keen for a long-term place I can make a home, with cool, fuss-free housemate/s who like the sound of my listing. Looking to make the move ASAP soon as I find something. Let me know if you have any questions. Peace and Thanks, Amber
I'm a laid back Perth-born guy studying advertising at RMIT, and i'm looking (ideally) to get together with a few people and start a new share house, or possibly just a room in an existing house if the people are cool. I'm still pretty new to Melbourne and so i'd love to be living with people that will be down for beers or a good 2K/FIFA wager, and I'd be totally cool with you having mates over for drinks/small parties as long as you're not weird about me meeting them. So basically hit me up if you're a social guy/gal that isn't going to hide in their room all the time. I'm just going to dot-point stuff from here on out: - I'm a clean guy, but definitely not a neat freak, so your room can be a total pig-sty if you want, so long as common areas are kept presentable. - Couples okay - I don't own a car so Flemington and Kensington are appealing as they both have stores nearby and are also close to the CBD, but if you know of any other areas that are similar I'm definitely flexible. - I am a really sarcastic guy and constantly making jokes, but also love to have a lengthy debate over serious and interesting topics, so if those things don't appeal to you then i'm not your best option because they are the main pillars of my personality. - My cooking skills are seriously minimal (toast and spaghetti) - I'm on time with rent, and happy to split bills on anything extra in order to keep costs down. - Possibly okay if you have pets, but I would have to make sure my throat doesn't close up around them. (i'm a serious dog lover so being allergic is depressing as fkkkkk) - I'm not fussed about you bringing people home from bars/clubs so long as you flick me a text first so I have a chance to get out of your way. - I go to the gym, but i'm no bodybuilder, so I don't want you judging me when I pound down 2 pizzas alone. - I'm a diehard Crows fan, and a big follower of the NBA and Premier League, but I love to watch just about any sport. - I like to watch House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Suits, The Office, Friends re-runs, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and probably a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. - Oh and my favourite movie has been Titanic since i was 5 years old, I feel like that might be relevant somehow. - Other interests include; US Politics, Standup Comedy, Writing, Reading, Gaming (just basic stuff like sports games and the occasional shooter), Golf (i'm terrible at it but i enjoy a sunny day on the course), and drinking too much. That's pretty much it, I'm a good bloke to have around the house if you're not a super serious person, and i do my fair share to ensure harmonious living. If you're interested or if you have any questions please message me!
I am Camilla - Austrian (and half Swedish) and currently moved to Melbourne. I’m a full- time student at La Trobe and I’m searching for a nice place to live around! About me: I am an easy-going, friendly person, who likes to socialize and prefers a home more than a house...I like clean environments so I always keep things tidy. For me mostly the vibe in the house is important and that everyone is respectful with each other. Clear communication, reliability and a good sense of humour shared together, is what I like in my housemates. Moreover giving privacy when wanted/needed but also being able to hang out together is important for me. I love to cook, laugh and laugh, share a glass of wine, meditate, do Reiki, discuss life, read and simply enjoy life and everything that nourishes the soul ☺
Born in Aus but grew up in England and backpacked around Aus the past 2 years. Now I'm looking for stability and routine for the next 6 months before uni starts (and potentially during uni as well). I'm a social and easy-going guy, but I'm not messy and don't rely on others for things when avoidable. I am big on music: love festivals, gigs and I play acoustic guitar. Also an avid cook, I'm a bit of a scientist so I like to experiment with flavours and see what mixes well with each other. Love geeking out to a board game or video. Considering getting into a martial art and/or ballroom or salsa dancing!
We are a couple, Carla from Argentina and Stephane from France. Recently moved to Melbourne after travelling round New Zealand for a few months. We are with a Working Holiday Visa, currently looking for a job in Hospitality to stay at least 4 months. We want a room in a shared flat or house, with a big bed for both. We are looking for a nice place to chill out through the week, with people who are keen to have a drink or just watch a movie. We are both outgoing people and willing to give most things a go. Stephane has a degree in Gastronomy and loves cooking. He plays basketball but interested in any sports. Carla has a degree in Communication and she is also interested in photography.
Hi, I'm moving to Melbourne from Sydney on 28 September and looking for a furnished room to stay for 1-2 months (flexible). I'm 22 years old, working in finance, very easy-going, tidy and respectful person, love photography, sports and a lot of other stuff. Let me know if you have something suitable:) Thanks, Uliana
Haaave ya met Jed? I'm looking for a house or flatshare and some cool people to go along with it! I currently live in Brunswick, which I think is a great area, but I'm open to looking at a lot of locations. Ideally I'm looking for people of a similar age or older, that enjoy occasionally hanging out after work with a bev or even sharing the odd meal. I'm flexible on contract durations, but nothing too short-term; I live in Melbourne permanently. Me: Easy going guy that laughs at pretty much everything and fancies himself a bit of a (wannabe), comedian. I work full-time in the city during the week and can usually be found in Brunswick, Fitzroy or the city in the evenings/weekend. I play the guitar, like to the socialise, train at the gym and watch a lot of movies. Get in touch if you're interested in buddying up or have a room going! Danke, Jed
a little about myself-My name is Ilya, I am 24 years old. I am originally from Miami but I have lived In New York and Los Angeles. The last year and a half I have been living in Thailand, working as a teacher, and traveling. Upon quitting my job I went traveling around southeast asia. After 3 months of the backpacking/pirate life I have moved to Melbourne. I am here to have a good time and save money. But most importantly I am trying to get back into the arts, (I used to work in film and act in Los Angeles). I plan on staying in Melbourne for the foreseeable future too so Im really trying to build a life here. Furthermore, I am working on a book that I will try to sell around February (if you're nice to me ill let you read it). As for me, I love to read, write, and take aimless walks. I'm social but also I plan to be pretty busy with working and pursuing my projects. I arrived in Melbourne 2 weeks ago and I'm using this week to explore the city, find work and find a good permanent place. Im starting construction next week too!
Hi Guys this is Veronica, from Italy. I have lived in London for 5 years and now decided to move to Austrialia for at list a year. I am looking for a private room for at least 4 months. I'm self sufficient, reliable and respectful. I'm looking for a relaxed place to call home and housemates that have their own things going on but don't mind sharing a glass of wine or a boogie on the occasion.
I like wine... 30 just turned, from London UK, here for a year but want to stay forever!! I’ve been living in Brisbane for a few months and now I’m ready to do Melbourne I like to binge Netflixs. I like to have the freedom to have a chill house but also have a little party now and again. I can share milk and butter and wont get on if the washing up is not done. I love a good night in with a facemask and a rose but equally love a night out in a fancy bar. I’m allergic to cats, gemini with an obsession with Pizza. I don’t exercise but I do love swimming. Looking for a social house that respects each other, I’ve got $250 budget maybe more for bills inclusive. Abi x
Currently studying at rmit in the city. I study justice and soon look to be working as a correctional officer. I Work 32 hours a week at Brunswick Woolworthes, in the produce department. So I bring with me a nice 5% off when shopping at woolies ☹️. I'm a very neat and tidy person, so I will be keeping all common areas I use vey tidy.I enjoy cooking so more then happy to get involved in cooking a few nights a week. I also play soccer and enjoy going down to the pitch for a kick or a run. I am a huge dog person and get along with pets very well. I'm a non smoker. Finally I bring with me a Xbox :0
I'm an easygoing, second year Melbourne uni student studying Bachelor of Science with Pre-med. I have moved around a lot. I used to live in Australia, moved to the US during high school, and moved back here for uni. I love working out, swimming and being outdoors in general. I spend a lot of time studying but like to go out once or twice a week. I'm fairly neat and like to cook a little.
I am a Colombian journalist, 29 years old. I came to Melbourne to improve my English, so I am studying at Impact English College part time and working part time. About me: I am a tidy and clean person. I am sociable, I like to spend time with people, talking and drinking from time to time, but I also enjoy being alone studying, reading or just listening to music. I am easy going. I love football and riding a bike.
I'm down to earth and easygoing, clean and tidy. I'm respectful, kind and I like to cook. I love to laugh at myself and be a bit daggy/silly. I'm a no bs person but in a nice way - think Donna/Rachel (Suits). I work full time in the City and extra typing from home. I'm also a Mary Kay Consultant so always stocking up on samples (which of course I would share with my housemate - bonus!). I'm active, going to the gym etc. I love to have a laugh and good company. Love a casual drink or coffee. Big fan of random things. Oh and I love pups! Okay, so everyone has a downside. Here's mine (not an exhaustive list I'm sure - I am biased) - I work too much and I like a long shower (happy to compensate in the bills for this one). I've put 6 months just to choose something but I'm looking for economy of scale and good company in a nice place closer to the city.
I am a student at Melbourne University looking for a share house. I study science, so I have a lot of contact hours and will be out of the house quite a bit, however will be fully committed to contributing to the house! I'm easy going, clean and love a good chat. I enjoy being active, going for walks as well as relaxing on the couch with a good movie. I do appreciate going out, but also enjoy a quiet night in, especially if I've got a lot of study and assignments to complete.
I am independent and clean up after myself. I am a fairly decent cook. Usually a fairly quiet person but i have a great sense of humour and i am always interested in a night-out. I do not smoke and i do not have pets. Latrobe Uni student and I work up at Mount Hotham so i'll be going up a lot during the winter season. Looking for a place to live during my 3 year uni course.
I am a twenty five year old full-time Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor and work in North Melbourne. I am a non-smoker, friendly, sociable, clean and respectful of other peoples space and feelings. I am easy going, laid back and love to have a laugh. I would love to live with people with a similar easy-going, happy-go-lucky nature to me that I can enjoy spending time with. I can easily get along with most people, would just prefer to spend it with people who don't take life too seriously. Moved to Melbourne from Perth 1 year ago. I like to cycle, run, swim, stay healthy and love my food, love LOVE the Melbourne food scene! I have done a lot of travelling. I'm always up for an adventure.
I moved to Melbourne from Northern California one year ago. I am, like most people from California, chilled, friendly, but most importantly, respectful and responsible. I am a mechanical engineer, and recently started a new job in Collingwood, so I am looking for a house that I can call home in that area. In my spare time, I go to the gym, play soccer, enjoy the local music scene, discover new restaurants and bars, catch up with friends, watch most sports, do mt biking, or simply stay home and watch a film or read. Look forward to meeting you and hopefully become good friends.
