I'm a 27 year old engineer from Ireland working in the process of beginning full time work in Melbourne. Easygoing and adventurous, I was backpacking solo all around south east Asia for the last 6 months before I arrived in Melbourne. When I'm not at work I'm most likely chillaxing, socialising, playing sport or in the gym.
I've lived in share houses for 5 years, and am respectful of people and the house. I love a good chat but also love chilling in my room. I work full time in marketing during the week and also at the footy on the weekends, go Hawks! I love weekend brunches and Pub Trivia! However my music taste is awful, as a Swiftie, Taylor is kween, but I won't subject you to it, i swear! Keen to create a home with my housemates, not just a shared space.
I love music, art and going out for a boogie with friends! I often frequent the festival scene, doing various work and volunteering for events and music festivals! I am looking for a place with compassionate people who enjoy life and creating important connections with others! If you want a house mate that will tell you stories till the sun comes up and pat your head then I'm your gal! (I am also neat and tidy and all of those good things)
Hey, my name is Lucy and I'm from England (middle of). I have recently moved to Melbourne permanently. I am a primary school teacher and love sunshine including sunsets and sunrises if I'm up! I'm a big food lover and enjoy cooking and would like to sometimes take turns to cook for each other but it's not essential if you are not a fan of cooking ha! I really enjoy yoga and would like to do it more than once a week so I can improve. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world. I enjoy music, particularly live music. I am an animal lover but I don't have any of my own unfortunately. I hope this has given you a little insight about me :-)
Hello All, My boyfriend I am moving from Hong Kong to Australia for working holiday from Apr of this year. We are welcome to live with any people who is nice and friendly, but with no other special requirements. Nice to meet you, and enjoy the time, thank you. Cybill
Hi all, I'm looking for an unfurnished room in a relaxed sharehouse somewhere north-ish of the city. I'm 34, and work part-time at a bookshop and teach part-time at Victoria University, which keeps me pretty busy. I also love going to any food, book, or film festivals that happen to be on. I don't smoke and have no pets. I have some furniture/house stuff but nothing I'm particularly attached to so I'm happy to pass it on if it's not needed. I've been sharehousing for years, so I'm really dependable and respectful of others. My move in date is flexible. If you want to now anything more, feel free to send me a message! Rebecca
We're from Newcastle in England...both been travelling around Australia/Bali for the past few months and are now looking for somewhere to live in the Melbourne area! We have working holiday visas so looking for two bedrooms for around 6 months, we're happy to pay around $200 each for rent. We're 23/24, love socialising, drinking and having fun, will also tidy up after ourselves so looking to live with people with similar interests. Currently in a hostel so hoping to move as soon as possible! If anyone has two rooms available and would like to live with us then please let me know! Also if anyone is in a similar position to us and is looking for a house to share then feel free to send us a message :)
Hey there! My name is Sophie, I'm 28 and moved here to Melbourne a month ago from NZ. I am a graphic designer currently in the process of job hunting. I have savings to pay for rent etc until I get a job! Happy to pay rent in advance with bond. Rent and bills have always been a priority to me, they come first before anything and I have never missed a rent payment or bill in my life. I enjoy exploring the city, a drink or two and eating! I also enjoy quiet nights in and relaxing. Love bands (especially Shihad!), finding rooftop bars and I love to cook too but still intrigued by Uber Eats! I'm really easy to get along with, very tidy and always clean up after myself - one of those clean as you go people! I want to live in a home where everyone takes pride in how the place looks. I am available to move in as soon as possible and happy to discuss length of stay. I am a very happy person and looking forward to making new friends along the way! I promise you won't regret living with me!
Weekdays: 9-5 work at Swinburne as a learning technologist. Some evenings I'll go to dance class or catch up with friends over a dinner/wine. Weekends: Getting out of the city, walks/hikes, scuba diving, camping, adventures etc. I am definitely have a work-to-live mentality and I treasure my weekends. I also like going out for the odd drink/night out dancing with the girls. I like cooking a lot, and I take my kitchenware very seriously. I am in a furnished house at the moment so I won't bring furniture but I will contribute some nice kitchen knives and other kitchen items. My wishlist for a house includes tidy and genuine roommates, an indoor toilet (I know this from experience), and a gas stove top (ideal but not necessary). Other than that I'm pretty relaxed. I hold my weight around the house in cleaning, purchasing shared items like toilet paper, cleaning products, etc. My move in date is flexible, but If I get on the lease now, I may stay only for a night or two for the first few weeks.
I'm sincere Genuine and totally trustworthy, and more importantly I'm Real. I am non judgemental but respectful of one and all of all ages I'm easy to get along and come with very few vices in life ,and while I'm very approachable non threatening to anyone, however I will stand up for myself or anyone knowing the difference between what is acceptable opposed to what's not. Myself very easy to get along with but I'm heartened of late by references made that If I should ask in regard to utilities Of whether they are seperately metered. Obviously there not by the email I received, that I possibly could not be trusted to consider living at this home . How Blatantly rude are you and at the end of any day I don't believe it would of been a pleasant experience living close to you. . Under the circumstances. My suggestion would be to know your rights if there is no separate meter, it is the landlords responsibility to pay that utility account such as a water bill.. So, while disappointing I think it turned out to be a blessing. . Renters, know your responsibilities as to Landlords. And make it pleasant experience for both of the said parties. Mine was horrid . Secured the property but no full blown lease would be given. What security would I have. This was sent to me by a registered agent. So, I will try again, I am looking for possibly self contained unit totally independent non furnished or possibly an apartment in the Eltham Locale a villa unit or any suburb on the rail network being close to Eltham or near a bus stop as my days Driving working in Real Estate as I did years ago are definitely over. If trains are not available that's fine, however a bus down to Eltham is perfect. My grandchildren have recently moved into the area and while I will relocate, but I also enjoy my independence .I would like to think that I can be a support to both mum and Dad as the 2 boys throughout their growing years. I come with a tiny dog of sorts size wise ,being 2.3 kilo 20cms high who these days sleeps in his bag some 20 21 hours day in day out so I could never comprehend leaving the old chap at this point in his life. His time is near sadly. He is a lovely friendly chap to everyone And believes everyone and everything are his friends At 14 , still never learnt the word Danger!. I am very house proud and would treat any property as if my own . I have been a home owner elected to sell to see the now family all grown and forge ahead enabling to purchase their own homes while making lives of their own. Thanks everyone. I am not interested as in share sorry, for know others reasons other reasons,if i'm being honest, that probably i'm to old , thou I'm very fit and active, and secondly I would really like to have my 4 year old little grandson to spend the odd night as in a sleep over. I love Research , that won't change as Eltham both are ideal especially if there is a bus down to Eltham would be perfect but I don't appreciate dealing with folk that are rude as I did, seriously believing they know the answer to the question when at the end of the day they really didn't. I have been in Real-estate and my uncles are retired S.C. as my immediate family members Thanks everyone. I'm happy to stay around southbank or city if I'm unable to secure a property close to family.
Hi, I'm Anton, a primary school teacher, surfer (who gives housemates free surf lessons) and laid back guy who's looking for a new place as my current lease in Brunswick is ending as they are going to renovate 😞 I have a cat too that comes with references from my current and former housemates. Would love to be part of the house. Also can contribute furnishings too if you'd like. Please message me or give me a call. Thanks, Anton
I am a student looking for room share for long period but I am open for short stay too. I am Indian and need room partner to have no objection in my cooking Indian meals. I will shift in short period.
Just moved to Melbourne from the UK, looking for somewhere to stay for 4-6 weeks while i get settled in. I'm easy-going, friendly and super tidy, very easy to live with! I'm always up for a chat over a glass of wine in the evenings if that's your thing :)
I introduce myself, my name is Maxime i am 20, i am new in Melbourne, here for 6 months so i'm looking for nice flat mates ! I work full time in a restaurant located in the CBD. When i'm not at the work a like Chilling/Netflix and discuss or get out and visit this incredible city, depending on the weather ! Hoping to meet you, do not hesitate to text me, Cheers !
Hi, My name is Medina Huzejrovic I'm 33 years old; work part-time as an Engineer for Wagstaff Piling while completing Masters in Engineering. I am of Eastern European descent (Russian/Bosnian) - was brought up to be courteous, kind and considerate also VERY tidy and clean :) I am very family orientated and treat my friends as if they were family - i believe in caring for one another so ideally i am looking for a household which represents those principles. I am very much into keeping fit and healthy (i was a gymnast prior moving to Australia) so now i practice a lot of Pilates and Yoga plus the occasional run. LOVE quality nutrition and yummy wine :) But i am not a great cook - however, am always wanting to learn. I would like to join a sharehouse-hold that cares and respects one another. For some, this may sound all too serious, however of course like most of us i like to socialise and party. I was very much in the party scene nowadays it's the occasional night out - love seeing live music, festivals and occasionally hit up the nightclub dance floor Currently, i am living in Brunswick thus am looking to stay local - am available most afternoons/early evenings after work to inspect and meet the occupants; feel free send me an SMS with link to property and your availability - if interested.
Helloooo, I'm Sarah, a French girl who lived in London for the past ten years. I arrived in Melbourne on the 2nd of February and have a full time job. Therefore, I really would like my own room. I've stayed in hostels since I arrived but it's absolutely not convenient. Ended up with party people or dirty people. Had to change hostel due to fully booked after a week, etc. I love cooking, listening music and learning new things, especially different cultures. I like seen my friends and going for a drink every now and then but always considered home as home and not a party place. If agreed within the flatmates maybe at times something can be arranged though... ;-) I LOVE swimming so I'm glad there is a beach in Melbourne!! I would love you to give me the opportunity to meet you so you can judge if I'll be a good flatmate for you. Looking forward to hear from you. Regards, Sarah
I'm a 22 year old student from California, who is in Melbourne on a working holiday visa. Last year I studied abroad at UniMelb, and I loved this city/country so much that I've decided to move back here for a while. I'm very easygoing, openminded, and respectful. I'm also tidy, but I don't mind if others aren't as tidy as me. When I'm not working I'll be home be relaxing, cooking, making/drinking tea, or re-watching Stranger Things on Netflix. I enjoy socializing, but I would NOT like to live at a place that throws parties (drunk people break things). I don't smoke, but I don't mind if you do. My schedule is quite flexible, and I'm willing to build a schedule that works with your schedule to make things easier. I love dancing, exploring the city, music, animals, socializing, and food (especially asian food). Also, I like to perform music/comedy, I consider that my passion.
Well I am a proud Australian citizen that has just hit some hard times, have been made to move with little time to organize any proper arrangements, I work full time just on Queen Street! Would love to be local but am pretty flexible! I have no problem taking my fair share of the load in any kind of cleaning and cooking! Want to just have a good chat or binge watch some shows? Im your guy! Im just looking for anywhere i can stay for a while to get some funds together for my own place! I am one of the easiest going guys and have a new hobbie every week! This is an opportunity for me to step out into the world as independently as i can!
I am a chilled out person. Into meditation, running and yoga etc. I like freestyle dancing. I am a professional in the IT field. I am mostly vegan. I like to hangout with friends, watch comedy shows on the internet, cook a little for myself. I tend to prefer organic stuff over artificial and chemical stuff. I am originally from India but last 10 yrs have been overseas including UK, Sydney and now Melbourne.
I'm 20 years old and have been living in Melbourne for a little over 2 years now. I've just started studying at ACU and looking to move from my current sharehouse with one other person, to a larger house with more likeminded people and a place with any size private outdoor area so that I can sit with some plants and a cool breeze. I like to be alone and in company at all different times in the day. Always happy for a chat or to be completely avoided. I like to play music or be listening to be music at pretty much all times of the day, currently on my playlist is Moose Blood, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, John Mayer... An important part about sharing a home with others is to have all the shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom, living room) respected by being kept clean and tidy for everyone else. I am not happy to have the dishes be left for 2+ days, benches not wiped down, floor not swept + mopped regularly, rubbish and personal belongings just left laying around for 2+ days. I also find it important to be free to invite people over when you like, for a casual setting, but if there's going to be lots of people + noise, this should be discussed and organised so no one is caught off guard. It is important to me to be living in an LGTBQI+ friendly household, occasional 420 friendly household, walking around in our underwear friendly household, kitchen dance party friendly household and a listens to everyones stories friendly household.
Hi my name is Matia. I'm a young french student (19 years old) and I look for a share house in Melbourne. I'm studying in Embassy English School in the center of Melbourne and I need a house for live 4 month. I'm here for learn English (I don't speak very well), discover this city, its culture and its atmosphere. I want enjoy myself and have good time. I'm not hard to live and I do all the housework.
We are a couple of introverted performing artists who love the outdoors, reading, film, cooking, spirituality and exploring. Very easy going and we value kindness, compassion, honesty and openness. We have a well-behaved cat also. We would love to hear from anyone offering temporary accommodation, sub-lets, or a two-bedroom places, or two rooms in a share house. Many thanks! :)
I'm independent, considerate and well share-house trained. I keep busy with work as a junior doctor and other activities including: going out to gigs, seeing friends, learning languages (Spanish and French currently) and playing ultimate frisbee. Ideally I'd love a house with a good balance between independent and communal living, meaning a shared meal here and there but also respect for everyone's space.
Hey, I am Alex. I'm a 26yo Barista, aspiring writer and music enthusiast. I am deep into food and coffee culture and relocating from Brisbane. I have a few friends living in the area and full time job lined up, so I'm seeking a tidy place with great people to share it with. I consider myself a clean and tidy person and enjoying cooking for myself or a whole house . I own a car but don't mind it being parked on the street as I plan to cycle most places. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Alex
We are 2 professional cat ladies, recently engaged and looking for a lease take over. LGBT friendly, clean and not after a party house. 2 well trained house cats, 5 and 10 years old.
We're both young creatives from the UK, over in Melbourne on working holiday visas. We've spent 4 months in Sydney and are now looking to live and work in Melbourne, seeking out its arts and coffee scene. We will be working as full time baristas in the city and are keen photographers, so we'll usually be out and about. We're clean, tidy and sociable, but know the boundaries when it comes to personal space! We get along with pretty much anyone we meet so don't be shy! We're fun, friendly people who enjoy good music, good food and good coffee. Ideally we'd like to live near the centre and its surrounding suburbs. We look forward to meeting you!
Needing a room oh so quickly! In between jobs at the minute, moreso just getting back up on my two feet from being quite ill last 12 months due to a workplace accident. I will be at home during the days (till a job presents itself), only using my laptop. So, No I won't be running up heaters/ aircons just because I'm home. Money is not an issue! I'm quite the introvert, tho in a social setting I'm said to be funny as hell. I'm super clean, very much the clean freak. Very handy around the home and quite easy to get along with. Looking to share with similar peeps.
We are a easygoing couple and looking to find a nice place to stay. We are tidy and responsible persons. Always trying to make the best out of the day. We love to meet new people and have some nice conversations.
I am a French man working in hotels and restaurants industry. I am very easy-going, clean and open-minded. Would be glad to share meals (I love cooking worldwide food!!!), talks and movies with my roommates even if, of course, I need time for myself sometimes. I am here to work first, meet new people and enjoy the city!
Hi guys, We're a group of 4 friends from UK recently arrived in Melbourne. We're looking for a nice place to stay whilst we all earn some money to help fund our travels. Very clean individuals who are more than happy to help cook and clean. We're an outgoing group but also respectful and know boundaries. Please don't hesitate to get in contact as we are very keen to get in an apartment! Thanks
Currently living in Melbourne, recently moved from interstate. I'm getting my masters in art curatorship at Melbourne University, so I'm a full time student, and I'll also be working at the Melbourne comedy festival this year. I'm really social, but also super into having my own space and respecting yours etc.
Ahoy, I'm Ollie. A relaxed, employed 29 year old, and part-time psychology student. A bit of an ambivert, I comfortably flow between socialisation and independently pursuing my own curiosities. Some of these are learning music, an eclectic array of DIY projects (from sewing to programming), and plenty of cooking (if only to keep ample hummus abound). I could bring to a house a lush tea and spice assortment, a decent sound system (don't worry, I have headphones), solid computer know-how, a washing machine, and a presence that is well honed in the art of taking care of oneself and being a conscientious housemate. I've run share-houses before and can summon references from both landlords and former housemates if need be. All said, hopefully I'll hear from you soon. If not, best of luck regardless. Ollie.
Hey! I am Eugenie, 21yo female currently doing my final year of uni, graduating mid year 2017. I currently work part time and will get into full time work around june/july. I am easy going, and relaxed. I don't party or do drugs and hardly drink but enjoy the occasional drink with dinner or on weekends. I like my personal space but also want to find a place called home :)
My name is Anita, Indonesian, 22 yo. I'm a fresh graduate who is looking for a room because my flat-mate is leaving Australia for good. I'm a nice, clean and tidy girl. Totally not a party kind but definitely up for some beer, wine and liquor. I love to meet new people. For weekend I choose movie, coffee, brunch and travel.
-----FEMALES ONLY---- I am a 27 year old Massage therapist, enjoys personal and spiritual development, healthy clean vegetarian/vegan food. Quiet, friendly and social & love to cook! Love outdoors, I don't party or do drugs and hardly drink but enjoy the occasional drink with dinner or on weekends. Looking for a place to stay in the next couple weeks! Ideally one housemate only, I have a 9 year old pomeranian who is quite shy and timid so more than one housemate would be too much for her. I know having a dog is a bit of a pain for people but I'm hoping to find someone who will accept her. She's toilet trained, clean, and loving. Hope to hear from you soon!

Both from NZ now calling Australia home. Oh hey! We're Marco & Nu, a German guy and Melbourne gal who can put the mates in 'housemates'. We're a fun-loving, friendly couple who've just come back from our overseas adventures and are now looking for a more permanent home. Marco is a full time student and I'm a full time travel agent so we're both out and about most days but really appreciate some down time after business hours feat. baking, chill nights in, and road tripping on weekends. We're clean, reliable, respectful, and don't take ourselves too seriously and we'd love to find like-minded housemates who are also keen on the occasional shared dinner and boogie. If you think your household needs more freshly baked goods and a funny accent to complete it you know who to call! (hint: not Ghostbusters)
Why hello there! Hope you're having a splendid day :] After spending three months on a horse farm, my girlfriend and I are looking to join a fun, friendly good vibe house to spend at least a year in. We are both baristas so one big perk we can provide is a constant source of fresh coffee... Also, I'm English, so I make a mean cup of tea. It's hard not to blow your own trumpet on these sorts of things but we really are an easy going couple, who likes to chill and just enjoy getting along with new people and hopefully make new friends. Thanks for reading our nonsense. Best Anita & Stu xx
I am from Northeast of India, so I am a little different from the ones you have met until now. Recently joined as 1st yr research student at Melbourne Uni, dept of Architecture, Construction and Planning, and totally new to Australia. I love to cook and clean, and basically do my own thing. I like watching tv series and listening to music, which I sometimes sing along, regardless of the time or place, . Not paticularly a party girl, but I like to try new foods and drinks in different places from time to time.
I'm looking for a room or to start up a share house with people. I'm Steve and I work in FMCG brand management. I recently moved to Melbourne to take the role. I'm easy going and generally like to have a chat and a drink/meal with flatmates, but I also know when people need their own space. I keep fairly active and ride to work most days. I'm an amateur photographer, a bit of a foodie and generally enjoy doing anything in a social environment. I'm a tidy flatmate and definitely do my fair share of the housework. I'm looking for flatmates with a similar mind set. Easy going, like to socialise and are working professionals. The room needs to be unfurnished (I have all my own stuff). Ideally I'd like to stay around the $250/week mark, but can go up to $300 for the right place. I'm also happy to consider a longer than 6 months. Hit me up if you want to know more or are interested in starting a share house/have a room.
My girlfriend and I are looking for a place together. I'm 23, from Scotland, and I work in finance. She's 20, from America, and she works as a pilates instructor. We are quiet, clean, and very respectful. We both love to cook and I make the best curry. I work full time so I generally am only home at nights. She works a couple hours a day so she would be home more often. We look forward to meeting you! :)
I'm a 29 year old American guy that has just finished backpacking in Asia for a year and now I'm settling in Melbourne for awhile. I'm looking for a place for at least 6 months, potentially longer. I worked in IT for 4 years in Chicago but I'm currently in search of cafe work (hopefully day hours). I'm laid back, considerate, keep things clean and have been told that I'm a very easy person to live with. I enjoy running, biking, and cooking. I'm not a huge party person, but definitely enjoy a few drinks after work and the occasional night out. Since I'm new to the city it would be great to become friends with my future flatmates but it's not a must.
Have Law Degree, doing post grad and a menial job in the meantime - like most Law graduates haha. NSW Law Degree so don't bother asking me for advice, not applicable in Vic . (yet the HECS debt will follow me anywhere!)Moved from Sydney. Like to think Im funny (dont you just brace yourself when someone says that). Only smoke when I'm stressed and only outside. Fairly flexible about moving date. Work on call 24/7. Tidy, friendly...hmmm, what else...love Gogglebox - wish I was on it lol
I am a English nurse a non smoker who is very clean, tidy and respectful. I work hard and enjoy my days off. I am a mature professional but young at hard and easy going and always up for laugh. I am new to Melbourne and not 100% sure of the areas yet but wanting to share with 1 other non smoker somewhere nice near a beach and not to far away from the City. Ideally i would like a house with a pool and bbq area (not an apartment) but it is not essential.
I'm Haley. Currently I am working full time as a Personal Assistant. I'm 23 years old and I'm looking for a place to call home. I work from 8-6 everyday and have weekends off. On my weekends I try and hang out outdoors. I will either be exercising, at the markets, cooking, catching up with girlfriends or just relaxing at home. I also have family and friends in Bendigo as I am originally from there so I travel home quite a bit. I am relatively quiet, very easy going, relaxed, respectful and clean. Living in a clean and tidy house is really important to me so I would like to live with someone who has the same mindset, please do not contact me if you cannot put your dishes away and leave your stuff lying around the house. I am looking for a flatmate that I can become friends with and share the occasional dinner/brunch and a laugh, but also someone that likes their own space and independance. At this stage I am looking for a place for about 6 months but if I can find a place that feels like home I will stay for longer if possible.
Hi I'm matt, I'm 26 I work full time as a plumber by trade .I'm mindful and respectful of other people. I'm a very clean neat and tidy person. I'm easy going and pretty easy to get along with. I'd say I'm fairly open minded respectful and educated on political views religious beliefs and all that sort of stuff. I'm very upfront and honest. I can be quite social but also will keep to myself at times as I work long hours and my job can be quite stressful at times so I'll just come home and want to switch off for awhile but I'm also happy to share a meal or have a beer or wine every now and then aswell. Preferably after something with off street parking and own bathroom ensuite

I am a laid back, down to earth, happy and sociable individual. I love sharing meals with friends (I can cook!), binge watching new Netflix series (let's find a series to watch together!), exploring new bars/restaurants/cafes, hanging out with friends, doing yoga, drawing, hitting the beach, doing cultural things like checking out art exhibitions, and am always up for an adventure. I would love to live in a house that is also a home, and to hang out with my fellow housemate(s), but also respect other people's space and alone time! I am also fully able to clean and do household chores - thought that was worth mentioning too! I'm 23 and I am here from England! I've just started a full time job in a branding agency in the CBD and finding a house is next on my 'settle-down-in-Melbourne' list!
