Moving from my hometown of Perth to Melbourne in pursuit of a more exciting life in a bigger city! I'm an avid musician, writer, and world-traveller studying literature, and I'm definitely interested in team-ups with other creative types, starving artists, and students in general. The more of us there are, the easier it'll be for us to afford a place fit for throwing parties and hosting couchsurfers! ;) Move in date and preferred length of stay are definitely flexible, and so are my preferred suburbs; although I would rather live somewhere a little more vibrant and central, I'm totally willing to compromise for the right roommates and housing situation. My goal here is to give myself and other students/artists an opportunity for affordable accommodation (anywhere from $100 to $200 a week per-head, preferably on the lower end of the spectrum, even if it means sharing rooms), and to create an environment comprised of diverse, interesting, and like-minded people and good vibes! But I certainly can't do it alone, and don't know anyone in the city -- so if you too are interested in putting together the grooviest communal house in Melbourne, please let me know! All races and genders are welcome. LGBTQ+ friendly.
I am a charismatic, world travelled bloke. I am currently studying at RMIT for sound engineering. I am very social and love to meet new people. In the USA at the moment with family, will be landing back in MLB on Feb 7th, and will need somewhere to literally move into. I just need my own room so I can live, study and make my music. I also come with an xbox one! Hit me up if you’re interested!
I'm fantastic to live with because: I'm quiet and studious most of the time, but can still be sociable and have some bevvies with the boyz. I clean after myself and am always co-operative when scheduled/asked to clean up. I have a strong sense of ethics and responsibility and am always looking for ways to improve myself. But most importantly I try to create a calm, relaxing living environment.
Hi! I'm currently living in an apartment in South Yarra, but unfortunately I need to find a new apartment that is more functional for the days when I work from home. I'm looking to stay in the inner suburbs and ideally South Yarra if I can find the right apartment. I'm currently working full time as a Procurement Specialist in the City with my hours changing slightly day-to-day due to being apart of a global team. But nothing crazy, my hours typically always fall somewhere between 7am-7pm. I'm looking for someone around the same age who is keen to share an apartment /townhouse with two bathrooms. Ideally we'd have some things in common and would both be keen to share a drink or something to eat but at the same time be independent. I'm easy going, very tidy and very east to get along with! Looking forward to hearing from you.
Full-time student at the University of Melbourne. Easy going, originally from central Victoria. Am into good films and books, cooking, music. I receive Centrelink youth allowance payments which cover my rent. I'm looking for a relaxed house with people interested in what they do/study.
Very easygoing and tidy. 3 outgoing brits who love meeting new people. In melbourne for anywhere between 6 months and 2 years. Main interests are sport, socialising and travel. Always looking to experience new things.
I am a Southern Englishman who has lived in Southampton on the coast for past 20 years. I am incredibly sporty with a great sense of humour and a well rounded personality. Very tidy and organised individual. Hoping to find housemates to socialise with but still respect each other's privacy. Non smoker
Hi Guys! I'm Ben and I am currently on the hunt for new digs! I previously worked at a salary packaging company working shifts between 8am - 7pm but am currently in between jobs and looking for a change to start the new year with! During the week I am too buggered after work to do much but blob out on the sofa binging on Netflix, but I do enjoy drinks on a friday after a hard week to unwind and occasionally go out to boogie if I'm not too tired! In my spare time I love to garden (definately a green thumb here!) I would describe myself as pretty outgoing and definately someone that speaks with no filter! A good flatmate would be one that doesn't hide in their room all day, likes to have a chat every now and then, but who is also mature enough to know that sometimes you just need your own space! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask away! Cheers, Ben
Just a quick bit about myself: I'm a 25 year old male studying full time Masters of IT. I've lived in share houses before and know how to keep clean and be respectful of others and their privacy. I'm a big fan of the cinema, board games, video games, sports and I'd like to say I'm a pretty social friendly guy - definitely enjoy a drink or two and going out with mates.
Hi :) I'm looking for a private room in a house with a backyard area for my dog, Nugget. I'm clean, respectful, have great awareness and am considerate. I'm friendly and love company, but am quite happy having downtime too. Love dinners with friends but not a massive party person. Nugget is a love unit and will try to sneak a cuddle. She's house trained and I'm continuously enforcing awesome behaviour on her. I'm also happy to team up as I have all the furniture to start up a new place.
Hi, my name is Martin and I’m from Germany. I’m working full time as a bartender in a restaurant near parliament station. I’m recently looking for a place to stay. I’m very tidy and quiet. I’m looking forward hearing from you. Dear regards, Martin
Hello from Pakistan! Coming to Australia for the first time, I will be studying full time at Monash city campus. I do not prefer partying as much, I can be social but also respect ones privacy and would love to help around the house! I am a clean and tidy person, i like living in a laid back environment, little fun on the side, love to watch films, listen to music, can cook some things too. Can’t sit around at one place for too long, I walk a lot, always up for hiking or camping out or playing any sport. I also have a musical instrument (Rabab) of Afghan origin which I play then and now, radiating good vibes only!! 22, straight.
Hello! My name is Linley and I am relocating from Perth to Melbourne on January 20th. I have just returned to Perth after a year of travel and work in London. I am a clean, tidy non smoker with a healthy obsession with dogs. If I see one you will hear about it!
I.T. professional who just moved to Melbourne after 10yrs in Sydney. Easy going, clean and tidy, friendly, reliable, always up for chat and occasional dinner/drinks. Works 9-5 in the city. Being new in town, you will find me exploring what’s on Melbourne and perhaps weekend drive out of town. Looking for a furnished apartment with available parking space.
Hi ! I'm French and I found a great full-time job in Melbourne, as a leathersmith. I have a WHV so I want to take the time to discover the city and its people too ! Before that, I lived in two different shared houses in France : one year with 3 other girls and another year with 2 boys and 2 girls. I really loved these experiences and I think I'm a trustworthy, tidy and cheerful person to live with ! I love going out with people, drinking a glass of wine (or two), reading books as well as going to exhibitions or gigs. And if I can find some funny people to go hiking, camping, swimming or body boarding during the weekend, it would be perfect for me! Another thing : My level of english is approximate but I plan on improving it, so I'm looking for patient mates ;) Hope we will get along ! Can't wait to meeting you !
Hey! I am a third year science student at the University of Melbourne. I am also currently working in marketing. I enjoy reading, cooking and I am also vegetarian. I am looking for a place not too far from the university of Melbourne in suburbs such as Brunswick or North Melbourne since I usually only walk or take public transport. I am very reliable in terms of rent payment and have previous experiences in renting before. I am not disruptive and can keep to myself but can also provide company :)
Dear People We are two girls fresh to Melbourne, I’m from Germany although you wouldn’t hear it in my accent and Kathryn is from London. We’re both in our mid twenties, thoroughly house trained and are looking for a house to make our home. Ideally in Brunswick East, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Carlton, Richmond or Footscray and on a budget of $200pw. Ideal move in date is the end of this month. We’re both gonna be working in hospitality and although ideally we are looking for two rooms in one house but we also won’t mind sharing a room. What we are really looking for a is a nice house where people don’t just live in the same house but become pals, share meals and glasses of wine and the odd night out. I’m really into cooking and would love to get into some gardening so a house with a nice backyard and a good kitchen as well as a good-sized social area is what we’re looking for. I know that these are things everybody is looking for and as much as I don’t wanna blow our own trumpet too much I can confidently say we are a great addition to any shared house. After four years of living in shared houses we are both well house trained, will clean up after ourselves and I personally find cleanliness pretty damn important so living with me basically means you’ll be living in a clean house. Kathryn did music at uni, I studied hospitality, our interests lie in music, going to gigs and museums, going dancing, dinner parties with the housemates and friends. I’m a sucker for a good Netflix binge watch evening. We both smoke and I’d like a 4/20 friendly house and yes we indulge in the naughty and fun things most of our generation does but if you’re not a party house then we will obviously respect that. Generally we are both easy going, down to earth, outgoing sociable and respectful people that like meeting new people, having a cheeky glass of wine with the housemates or a good group shindig but will also respect everyone’s needs for privacy. If you wanna know anything else about us please just get in touch! Love, Leonie and Kathryn
- social work student at RMIT - Personality -wise I've been described by others as like a real life Tina from Bob's Burgers - skills: cooking, opening jars, telling dad jokes - Likes: netflix, drinking various beverages with friends/housemates, old movies, trying new foods, dad jokes, literally all animals - 100% Ravenclaw PS: In case you're looking at starting a team up or you just signed a lease, I come with a tv, coffee table, a microwave and lots of kitchen stuff
Hey guys I'm Marine a French girl and I'm currently studying in Melbourne. I've been living in share house for a long time, sharing my room or the flat so I'm really use to collocation :) I'm looking for a private room in order to have my own space but I also enjoy meeting up around a glass of wine and having fun :) I work part-time in education and hospitality sector so I work pretty much 9-5 when I'm not studying. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :) See you soon!
FLEXIBLE MOVE DATE. Quiet but sociable, intelligent, arty, stylish, friendly, romantic, gay. Able to move any time if you are offering ideal quiet room. I work full-time in education and love walking to work in Parkville as often as possible. Looking for a LARGE ROOM (I have many books and tasteful possessions) in a peaceful, warm, aesthetically-pleasing abode. Preferably aircon in house. Very easygoing, mature, financially sound and conscientious. Bit of a health maven and very tidy in the kitchen/bathroom/shared areas. Terrific sense of humour. Interested in natural history, botanical art (hobby), literature, gorgeous food, green adventures, film festivals and classical and world music. Very gentle, considerate and sweet. I have happily resided in a beautiful sharehouse in Moonee Ponds (replete with a smooth-running cleaning roster) for the past ten years. Sadly have to move for landlord's revamp of the property. I prefer text to call (or check if good time to call) but open to a call before 10pm if you are offering something ideal and not on a busy street
Hi! I've recently gotten into RMIT and will be moving down from Queensland as soon as possible. I'm super super tidy, and always clean up after myself. I'm very new to Melbourne and in turn don't know anyone, so I'd love to find housemates who are up for a chat or wine. However, I have been living in share housing for a few years now and completely understand the need for privacy and quiet time. I'm in hospitality and will be looking for a job quite soon once I settle in. As I'm in QLD I won't be able to come in for an interview but I'm happy to skype or something of the like if you want. :)
