I'm a 24 year old professional working in data analytics full time. I'm currently looking for a place to move into by 4 Feb (at the latest) I'm looking for a place in West Footscray, North Melbourne, Fitzroy, Brunswick, Yarraville, etc. (I'm not that concerned with where, as long as closish to the city and public transport is around) I do contract remote book keeping on top of my full time job, so I have no problems with bills. I'm relatively quiet, although always willing to hang out with housemates. I drink too much coffee and come with a Netflix subscription I'm willing to share. Most weekends I'm off exploring the city or trying something new (like a museum, a gallery or a cooking class).
Yet another twenty-something looking for sweet digs north of the city! Currently looking for an unfurnished room in/around the regular Northside areas. Long-term lease is ideal, as I'm looking for something pretty stable. Close to public transport is a must as I'm a slave to our PTV overlords and need them to get to my jobs in the city. Preferably up to $200-230/wk, but can do higher if price includes bills. I work full-time-equivalent in ticketing and other arts/festival admin-y jobs, which means: a) I'm out of the house quite a bit, especially during festival time, b) I have a steady-enough income that means rent/bills get paid on time, and pantry is always in full supply of Blend 43, and c) I can offer you free tickets to things as an apology in the rare event I leave a gross pan in the sink for an unacceptable amount of time! Not a great cook, but can contribute in other ways like taking out bins and spiders, and not being overly-around when you need some space. I'm also clean, reasonably tidy, polite to your visiting mum, and all those good things. Will be in Adelaide for work Feb 10 - March 20, so looking to move in either ASAP or in late March when I'm back in town. Of course, I'm more than happy to sign a lease, pay rent etc. for the time I'm away if I'm able to move in before I ship out to SA.
Hi, I'm a quiet, creative and fun person looking for a place to stay while I study Psychology at Melbourne Uni. I love animals and parks, but also love to just veg out and consume TV or movies. I have casual work, but love to draw, write and paint in my spare time, and have a finished Zine. I'm very passionate about social justice issues, and have an intersectional approach to my life! My friend is also looking for a place too! Her name is Thirushi and she's a med student that is working this year. She is fun, extroverted, loves basketball, reading and finding new bars. She is a strong supporter of human rights and hopes to work for Doctors without Borders.
Hello! My name is Victoria and I'm coming to Melbourne in February to study at La Trobe University for an exchange semester. I'm superexited to come to Melbourne but the only thing I need now is acccomodation. I'm from Sweden and back home I study anthropology at Gothenburg University. For fun I love to explore and travel, I'm also down for a glass of wine with friends or just having a chill evening. I'm too old for crazy parties now XD
Hi I am Maggie. Kiwi gal who recently moved over the ditch. I work full time during the week in the city. I like to stay active and socialize ! I am 22 and looking for housemates with similar interests. I am very housetrained, clean up after myself. Please let me know if you have a room available, wanting to be North side preferable but open to options.
Hi! I'm from India and will be moving to Melbourne in Feb 2018 for a Masters program at the University of Melbourne. I'm tidy, respectful and reliable with payments. I am pretty social and would love to live in a house where I can hang out with my housemates. I enjoy football , gaming, binge-watching TV series and will always have time for a beer or two. I'm looking for a place preferably within a 8 mile radius from Unimelb.
My boyfriend (Ollie) and I are moving to Melbourne in February. He's studying at RMIT, while I'm a Primary Teacher. We're both 24 and have been together since high school. We're both super tidy and clean, though generally pretty laid back personality wise. We have a Golden Retriever called Teddy. He's completely house and toilet trained and has been through a few levels of obedience classes. He's generally excited for about five minutes when we get home for the day, and spends the rest of time napping/being the laziest dog out there. Scratch him under the chin, and you've got a best friend for life. We're pretty open to any sort of household - we're both vegetarian but couldn't care less what anyone else eats. We're pretty social people, so would be happy to be in a sociable household, but also don't mind being in a house where everyone keeps to themselves. We're flexible in regards to a move in date, though any point during February would be best.
Danish architecture student on exchange in Melbourne. Hoping to share a place with happy housemates February-June. Hi! I’m a Danish architecture student looking for a room in Melbourne during my exchange semester at RMIT. I’m hoping to share a place with housemates, as well as having my own private room. I expect to spend a lot of time at uni, but I’d love the company of flatmates for the time I'm home, and occasionally share a meal together. I'm always up for a coffee and a chat, or a friday night glass of wine. I enjoy climbing, yoga, travelling, cycling around the city, and cooking with friends. I also like listening to lots of podcasts which means I might sometimes have weird facts or stories to share. I'm considerate and have lived with others before, and I'm vegan. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or if you have anything available.
A fun loving, clean and sociable songwriter from London. coming over to Melbourne to visit family and friends and explore the city from the 21st till the 6th Feb where i will then be moving on to Sydney to do some music work! I love being in my own company but i also love being around people and enjoying good food and drinks! If you cant find me in the gym/on a run or writing music on the beach then i am probably in a bar enjoying a drink. I do occasionally smoke so do not mind about whether that is a rule or not, happy either way!
I am a really friendly, out going person and love meeting new people! I am also very tidy. I have lived away from home before, so i know what is expected of me as a housemate. I am currently completing my Cert 3 and 4 in Personal training, i am also training as a Yoga Teacher and am a netball coach too.
I am Spanish 30 years old chic. I have a PhD in History and work as a Research assistant at Melbourne University. I am easy going and love cooking and singing in the shower (no worries, I wont sing Taylor Swift at 8am in the morning). I am tidy, non smoker and love to catch up with a glass of vino tinto in my hands
Hey there, Im Brazilian born living in Australia my whole life, I moved to Melbourne 3 years ago to finish off my Masters at RMIT. Now finished I’m searching for new jobs in the marketing sector and enjoying a little bit of travel. I managed a restaurant in the CBD on flinders lane called Lucy Liu ( delicious food). Im obsessed with food and drink always looking for the new place to check out but enjoy cooking at home to save money. I contribute to the house in anyway I can, decent clean freak and handy gardener. Never too shy for a chat always down to get into some tv shows and movies. I enjoy going for bike rides and skating around to OP shops when I get the time. I’m not allergic to any animals so always happy to have some extra company around the house. I’d make a great housemate because I’m relaxed and tidy, always wanting to try new things.
Looking for a room closer to the city for work. Generally keep to myself, but always up for a chat. Trying to save money to move overseas, so I am working quite a bit at the moment. Super tidy with dishes and whatnot, and pretty laid back and easy to live with. If you have something available, feel free to message me!
Hi! I'm Sakina, and I'm a postgraduate student studying a Masters in Creative Writing at the University of Melbourne. I'm from Sri Lanka and I moved here in July 2017 so I'd consider myself a newbie! (hehe). In terms of being a flatmate, I'd love to live in a clean environment and will make an extra effort to be clean and tidy up wherever I live. I also think it's important to have a healthy and engaging relationship with my flatmate, so I'd ideally look for someone who is outgoing and fun, but also gives me my space and has their own! In my spare time (lol, what is that when you're a Masters student?), I love watching tv shows, movies, listening to music and reading/writing. I love coffee, and am always open to finding coffee spots in and around the area! I am also an explorer by habit and love to go around the city to visit cool spots. I work part time with children and do creative work here & there. Let me know if you're interested! :)
I am kind and friendly, I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing culture, I am tidy and always clean up after myself. I am currently doing a hospitality course in the city, I am a non smoker however I am a social drinker.
I'm Lydia, 30, and work at Toyota, though my experience before this is in humanitarian aid sector. I'm pretty easy going, like to share a meal with housemates occasionally, a glass of wine or beer and a good chat are always good, but I understand that home is a sanctuary and space/alone time is important. I love reading, enjoy a good meal, pubs, playing ultimatum games and a good laugh. I think it's important to make the effort to make a share house a home, not just a house. I like to keep communal spaces clean, and cooking for housies. I'm very easy going and flexible. I think it's important to respect others' space and time.
Originally from Ireland, I've been living in Perth for the last 18 months. I'm relocating to Melbourne at the end of January. I'll be working in Epping as a junior doctor so I'm looking for somewhere between town and epping on the South Morang line. I'm easy going. I've lived in multiple previous share houses and I know how to get on well. I'm looking forward to exploring Melbourne with new friends in my free time. I'm planning on bringing my car across, so ideally would be looking for a place with a parking space on/off street.
Hi there! So I am a 27 year old looking for a room to rent from around the end of Jan. I'm pretty flexible with move in dates and move out dates. I'm looking for a place to call home until at least until the end of the Uni year (November) or more depending on how things go! I've lived out of home since I was 18 so I'm very used to living in a share house. I'm clean and organised, I love the outdoors and animals and I am a vegan, but don't care if you're not! I love cooking, drinking coffee (I even come with my own coffee machine!) and wine. I currently study Environmental Science at RMIT but I'm not at all an unreliable student and I am defiantly not looking for student accommodation. I was fortunate enough to get an accommodation scholarship which covers my rent so paying bond/ rent and bills is never an issue. Before coming back to uni I spent a couple of year travelling through Asia and Europe and lived in the UK so safe to say I love traveling! I do study hard and I try to stay healthy but I do also enjoy a drink with friends. I would love to move into an established house with sustainably conscious housemates that are independent but that are open to making a new friend and like to have the occasional debrief over a red!
Hello! I work as a Community Manager for a public health research app, and recently relocated to Melbourne after four years in Dublin, Ireland (though originally from Boston, in the US). (No, I do not sound like the Departed) (Yes, I do use the word "wicked") I've lived in share-houses since 2010 so very accustomed to sharing chores and space, and keeping tidy. I like to be able to come home to friendly housemates and share the occasional movie night, while also maintaining our own lives. For fun I try to get out to swing dancing events several times a week, and like exploring city goings-on at the weekend. I also try to get to gigs at least a few times a month.
I've been lucky to travel to a few places and you learn that you don't need much to be truly happy. I enjoy the outdoors, keep a healthy routine every week. But I enjoy an afternoon bevvo or a glass of wine. Enjoy my photography and have a few stories to share. Now, in Melbourne, moved for a new job as an engineer, so need a place that is closer to work.
Hey I recently moved to Melbourne from Vancouver, Canada on January 7th and I'm currently subletting in Northcote until January 27th. Looking to stay in Melbourne for six months on my working holiday visa and can be counted on for rent and keeping a place clean. I've shared many apartments. Always up for cooking, the outdoors, and music from Tame Impala, Bonobo, to Kendrick Lamar. I also used to be a tennis coach so I'm happy for a hit or free lessons :)
I'm a 21 year old Melbournian student, flirting with the idea of leaving the comfort of my parents' home in 2018. I'm currently studying zoology, and hoping to start a Masters degree early this year, while continuing to work part time. I enjoy staying active, cooking and sharing meals, and occasionally going out on weekends. I'm an easy-going and respectful person, with a hugely positive attitude.
HELLO THERE! We are two energetic and adventurous girls looking for housemates similar to ourselves. We are two friends from University looking to move into a warm, homely home. We enjoy the casual nights out or a few beverages every now and then, but also love a good movie night not he couch. We are currently searching for houses at the moment to move into and would love a 3rd (or 4th) housemate(s) to join us. We are both very clean and tidy so will be looking for someone who is also. We are respectful of peoples privacy and alone time however, are always up for a chat. We love to bake and and extremely easy going. We live for tea. So if you enjoy wine and cheese nights, cups of tea and a lot on unhealthy baked goods feel free to message us! Justina & Mikaela :)
