I'm James, a 25 yr old kiwi working in advertising. I have been in Melbourne almost a year and am looking for a quiet and sunny room in a central suburb and some cool people to live with. I'm a laid back, social guy who appreciates things to be clean and tidy, but I'm always up for having friends over for a few drinks during the weekend. I work in advertising, so if I'm busy you may not see me for a couple of days, but at the end of the week I'll be craving a few drinks and a good laugh. I enjoy eating out and going to gigs, as well as making the effort to squeeze the odd run in too. As a kiwi, my footy knowledge is slowing developing, so I'll be making an effort to attend a few games this season. Can cook, and happy to share meals if you are too.
Hi, My name is Cyrille. I am a French student studying business in Paris. I am coming to Melbourne for a 5-month internship in CBD. I am looking for a private room in a shared house. Coming up the end of my time Melbourne to head back to London in mid May. Looking for a short term rent of roughly 6 weeks starting from end of March/early April as the lease expires on my current house soon. I work in hospitality in the city so looking for anywhere relatively close or easily accessible to the CBD. Cheers!
Hello, we're a young couple looking to move in to a room together. Originally from Perth, Gary is currently working, while Cotton, born and raised on the Chinese island of Hainan, is studying at university. We are both easygoing, friendly and tidy, and enjoy socialising as much relaxing at home. Neither of us are party animals and committed to a healthy lifestyle.
Hey there! My name is Sophie, I'm 28 and moved here to Melbourne in February from NZ. I am a graphic designer currently in the process of job hunting for nice and tidy place! I have savings to pay for rent etc until I get a job. Happy to pay rent in advance with bond. Rent and bills have always been a priority to me, they come first before anything and I have never missed a rent payment or bill in my life. I enjoy exploring the city, a drink or two and eating! I also enjoy quiet nights in and relaxing. Love music, finding rooftop bars and I love to cook too (amazing kitchens are a seller for me!) but I still appreciate Uber Eats! I'm really easy to get along with, very tidy and always clean up after myself - one of those clean as you go people! I want to live in a home where everyone takes pride in how the place looks. I am available to move in as soon as possible and happy to discuss length of stay. I am a very happy person and looking forward to making new friends along the way! I promise you won't regret living with me!
Hi there ! My name is Saphera. I am a design graduate from Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand who has just moved over to Melbourne last week. I love anything creative really, and exploring Melbourne in my spare time. I consider myself very clean and organised, as well as being pretty chill.
We're a British travelling couple (24, 25) who have landed in Melbourne 14/03 and looking to spend around 6-9months in Melbourne, although want to find a 3 month stay to begin with, and then go from there in terms of housing. $350 really is our limit, we'd prefer this to include bills but that can be negotiated. We're easy-going, clean and social housemates- enjoy a chat over cooking (I'm veggie but happy to cook meat) and a glass of wine/beer but also appreciate busy schedules and personal time/space. We'll be working but on our time off we enjoy keeping fit (gym, yoga, running, walks) and catching up with friends in the amazing restaurant and bar scene that Melbourne offers!
We are Jenny and Stu, originally from Liverpool, England but now calling Melbourne home. Both laid back, ones tidy, one is clean so winning combination. Like to do anything involving food and wine, and slowly make our way through every instagramable brunch place that Melbourne has to offer. Both working professionals, and at the weekend love to jump in the car and explore Melbourne/Victoria. We aren't that couple who make out on the couch, lick each others faces or call each other 'boo boo'.......so don't let us being a couple scare you off, we are normal people too! Looking to move in to a place, or join up with other people to find a house. Want to be in an environment with decent people who can hold a conversation, as much as we love a drink no all night partiers please, preachy people or anyone in a cult. We just want to relax have some fun and enjoy the place we live in and the people who live there too.
Hey guys, I'm making the big move from Brisbane to Melbourne in April (arrive the 12th). I have a job as a Risk Specialist lined up, so being on a lease/paying bills is not an issue. Hoping I can leave my stuff in storage for the mean time until I settle in, so a bed would be awesome but I can make other arrangements for that. I’m pretty much bringing what I can stuff into my car. Im a pretty chill guy, I think I’m funny and easy to get along with. Ive been trying out crossfit and hope to keep that up down there, other than that you’ll probably catch me exploring cafes and eating food. I’m super tidy as a flatmate, like legit tidy, not the type that says they are but aren’t. Im 29 as well. My work schedule for the first couple of months will be pretty hectic, with 3 or 4 weeks worth of time in Sydney thrown in there. I know I can’t meet anyone before because I’m in Bris, but happy to have a chat on the phone or Skype. Cheers Ben

I have been living solo in Port Douglas for the past 4 months but before this I lived in a share house with a couple for 2 years in Brunswick! From the end of July I will be going back to William Angliss Institute where I'm studying a bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism management and working part time in the hotel. I appreciate having a neat and tidy house and am respectful of other people's belongings and their space. Happy to have a chat or meet up with people upon my return to Melbourne !
I'm from India, lived in Dubai for many years and currently moving down under to Australia, Melbourne. I am tidy, accommodating, and a friendly person to be with. I like to meet people and have intellectual conversations with them, but mostly I like having my private time and space. I appreciate music of all sorts, I enjoy cricket and watching movies. I'm looking for a private furnished room for 3-4 months from April 22nd. I work in the CBD area, so I am looking for a place that is not very far from CBD.
My name's Daniel, I'm 25, and I work full-time for a small consulting company in Bundoora. I'm easy going, I like to keep fit (runs, gym, swim, etc.) and I'm well house-trained! I like a house with a little bit of energy but where everyone respects each others space. I'm keen to move to the Darebin area or other suburbs north of the city.
Hello, my name is Nicolas Santos, i am from Medellin Colombia, i am 33 years old and i am a person that loves multicultural environments, and language exchanges. I am from India, I will be studying Master of Management (Project Management) in La Trobe University City Campus. I am extrovert and open-minded.I am a non-smoker and non-drinker ( not even occasional), I don't mind smoking or drinking around me unless I'm insisted, so please take a note of it. Also I'm quite possessive to my religious aspects (like eating halaal food and offering prayers also avoidin eating pork and others) but not extreme. I respect privacy and never do something that will embarrass or disappoint my fellow roommates. Apart from this I like to go out, play games (indoor or outdoor), gym, cooking, reading, swimming, helping the fellow roommates the best from my side, being clean and hygienic, taking care of myself and little OCD to few things :P. I don't mind sharing room with people from any background. If you are from India or Muslim, I would love to be with you. So either way I will be fine. If you have pets like cats or dogs, that will also not be a problem ( I'm a cat-lover :P but wouldn't mind a dog. ) Also, If there is any accommodation like Paying Guest (PG) or Homestays in the city or suburbs I will also consider that. :) P.S : Once again, I am great to live with.
I'm a 27 year old engineer from Ireland working in the process of beginning full time work in Melbourne. Easygoing and adventurous, I was backpacking solo all around south east Asia for the last 6 months before I arrived in Melbourne. When I'm not at work I'm most likely chillaxing, socialising, playing sport or in the gym.
Hey, my name is Lucy and I'm from England (middle of). I have recently moved to Melbourne permanently. I am a primary school teacher and love sunshine including sunsets and sunrises if I'm up! I'm a big food lover and enjoy cooking and would like to sometimes take turns to cook for each other but it's not essential if you are not a fan of cooking ha! I really enjoy yoga and would like to do it more than once a week so I can improve. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world. I enjoy music, particularly live music. I am an animal lover but I don't have any of my own unfortunately. I hope this has given you a little insight about me :-)
Hello All, My boyfriend I am moving from Hong Kong to Australia for working holiday from Apr of this year. We are welcome to live with any people who is nice and friendly, but with no other special requirements. Nice to meet you, and enjoy the time, thank you. Cybill
We're from Newcastle in England...both been travelling around Australia/Bali for the past few months and are now looking for somewhere to live in the Melbourne area! We have working holiday visas so looking for two bedrooms for around 6 months, we're happy to pay around $200 each for rent. We're 23/24, love socialising, drinking and having fun, will also tidy up after ourselves so looking to live with people with similar interests. Currently in a hostel so hoping to move as soon as possible! If anyone has two rooms available and would like to live with us then please let me know! Also if anyone is in a similar position to us and is looking for a house to share then feel free to send us a message :)
Weekdays: 9-5 work at Swinburne as a learning technologist. Some evenings I'll go to dance class or catch up with friends over a dinner/wine. Weekends: Getting out of the city, walks/hikes, scuba diving, camping, adventures etc. I am definitely have a work-to-live mentality and I treasure my weekends. I also like going out for the odd drink/night out dancing with the girls. I like cooking a lot, and I take my kitchenware very seriously. I am in a furnished house at the moment so I won't bring furniture but I will contribute some nice kitchen knives and other kitchen items. My wishlist for a house includes tidy and genuine roommates, an indoor toilet (I know this from experience), and a gas stove top (ideal but not necessary). Other than that I'm pretty relaxed. I hold my weight around the house in cleaning, purchasing shared items like toilet paper, cleaning products, etc. My move in date is flexible, but If I get on the lease now, I may stay only for a night or two for the first few weeks.
Hi, I'm Anton, a primary school teacher, surfer (who gives housemates free surf lessons) and laid back guy who's looking for a new place as my current lease in Brunswick is ending as they are going to renovate 😞 I have a cat too that comes with references from my current and former housemates. Would love to be part of the house. Also can contribute furnishings too if you'd like. Please message me or give me a call. Thanks, Anton
I am a student looking for room share for long period but I am open for short stay too. I am Indian and need room partner to have no objection in my cooking Indian meals. I will shift in short period.
Just moved to Melbourne from the UK, looking for somewhere to stay for 4-6 weeks while i get settled in. I'm easy-going, friendly and super tidy, very easy to live with! I'm always up for a chat over a glass of wine in the evenings if that's your thing :)
I introduce myself, my name is Maxime i am 20, i am new in Melbourne, here for 6 months so i'm looking for nice flat mates ! I work full time in a restaurant located in the CBD. When i'm not at the work a like Chilling/Netflix and discuss or get out and visit this incredible city, depending on the weather ! Hoping to meet you, do not hesitate to text me, Cheers !
Hi, My name is Medina Huzejrovic I'm 33 years old; work part-time as an Engineer for Wagstaff Piling while completing Masters in Engineering. I am of Eastern European descent (Russian/Bosnian) - was brought up to be courteous, kind and considerate also VERY tidy and clean :) I am very family orientated and treat my friends as if they were family - i believe in caring for one another so ideally i am looking for a household which represents those principles. I am very much into keeping fit and healthy (i was a gymnast prior moving to Australia) so now i practice a lot of Pilates and Yoga plus the occasional run. LOVE quality nutrition and yummy wine :) But i am not a great cook - however, am always wanting to learn. I would like to join a sharehouse-hold that cares and respects one another. For some, this may sound all too serious, however of course like most of us i like to socialise and party. I was very much in the party scene nowadays it's the occasional night out - love seeing live music, festivals and occasionally hit up the nightclub dance floor Currently, i am living in Brunswick thus am looking to stay local - am available most afternoons/early evenings after work to inspect and meet the occupants; feel free send me an SMS with link to property and your availability - if interested.
Helloooo, I'm Sarah, a French girl who lived in London for the past ten years. I arrived in Melbourne on the 2nd of February and have a full time job. Therefore, I really would like my own room. I've stayed in hostels since I arrived but it's absolutely not convenient. Ended up with party people or dirty people. Had to change hostel due to fully booked after a week, etc. I love cooking, listening music and learning new things, especially different cultures. I like seen my friends and going for a drink every now and then but always considered home as home and not a party place. If agreed within the flatmates maybe at times something can be arranged though... ;-) I LOVE swimming so I'm glad there is a beach in Melbourne!! I would love you to give me the opportunity to meet you so you can judge if I'll be a good flatmate for you. Looking forward to hear from you. Regards, Sarah
I'm a 22 year old student from California, who is in Melbourne on a working holiday visa. Last year I studied abroad at UniMelb, and I loved this city/country so much that I've decided to move back here for a while. I'm very easygoing, openminded, and respectful. I'm also tidy, but I don't mind if others aren't as tidy as me. When I'm not working I'll be home be relaxing, cooking, making/drinking tea, or re-watching Stranger Things on Netflix. I enjoy socializing, but I would NOT like to live at a place that throws parties (drunk people break things). I don't smoke, but I don't mind if you do. My schedule is quite flexible, and I'm willing to build a schedule that works with your schedule to make things easier. I love dancing, exploring the city, music, animals, socializing, and food (especially asian food). Also, I like to perform music/comedy, I consider that my passion.
I'm 20 years old and have been living in Melbourne for a little over 2 years now. I've just started studying at ACU and looking to move from my current sharehouse with one other person, to a larger house with more likeminded people and a place with any size private outdoor area so that I can sit with some plants and a cool breeze. I like to be alone and in company at all different times in the day. Always happy for a chat or to be completely avoided. I like to play music or be listening to be music at pretty much all times of the day, currently on my playlist is Moose Blood, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, John Mayer... An important part about sharing a home with others is to have all the shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom, living room) respected by being kept clean and tidy for everyone else. I am not happy to have the dishes be left for 2+ days, benches not wiped down, floor not swept + mopped regularly, rubbish and personal belongings just left laying around for 2+ days. I also find it important to be free to invite people over when you like, for a casual setting, but if there's going to be lots of people + noise, this should be discussed and organised so no one is caught off guard. It is important to me to be living in an LGTBQI+ friendly household, occasional 420 friendly household, walking around in our underwear friendly household, kitchen dance party friendly household and a listens to everyones stories friendly household.
Hi there, My name is Vincent and I'm currently looking for a new place in Fitzroy North. I've recently finished a lease in Preston and I'm looking to move somewhere closer to where I work. I'm currently working as a casual orderly at Epworth Hospital Richmond, but I'm also a freelance writer on the side. I'm a friggin' great housemate to live with because I'm super easy to get along with me. Trust me, if you're not a racist, homophobe, sexist, sycophant, narcissist or a generally obnoxious person then this should be a piece of cake. I'm also a peach to live with. I'm fairly tidy and organised and (most of the time) have my shit together. Most of the time I'll either be reading, worsening my persistent vertigo with loud music or out and about at some generic non-descript location. Either way, I'm a breeze to live with. But most of all, I love meeting new people. Including you. Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers.
Hi my name is Matia. I'm a young french student (19 years old) and I look for a share house in Melbourne. I'm studying in Embassy English School in the center of Melbourne and I need a house for live 4 month. I'm here for learn English (I don't speak very well), discover this city, its culture and its atmosphere. I want enjoy myself and have good time. I'm not hard to live and I do all the housework.
We are a couple of introverted performing artists who love the outdoors, reading, film, cooking, spirituality and exploring. Very easy going and we value kindness, compassion, honesty and openness. We have a well-behaved cat also. We would love to hear from anyone offering temporary accommodation, sub-lets, or a two-bedroom places, or two rooms in a share house. Many thanks! :)
I'm independent, considerate and well share-house trained. I keep busy with work as a junior doctor and other activities including: going out to gigs, seeing friends, learning languages (Spanish and French currently) and playing ultimate frisbee. Ideally I'd love a house with a good balance between independent and communal living, meaning a shared meal here and there but also respect for everyone's space.
Hey, I am Alex. I'm a 26yo Barista, aspiring writer and music enthusiast. I am deep into food and coffee culture and relocating from Brisbane. I have a few friends living in the area and full time job lined up, so I'm seeking a tidy place with great people to share it with. I consider myself a clean and tidy person and enjoying cooking for myself or a whole house . I own a car but don't mind it being parked on the street as I plan to cycle most places. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, Alex
We are 2 professional cat ladies, recently engaged and looking for a lease take over. LGBT friendly, clean and not after a party house. 2 well trained house cats, 5 and 10 years old.
We're both young creatives from the UK, over in Melbourne on working holiday visas. We've spent 4 months in Sydney and are now looking to live and work in Melbourne, seeking out its arts and coffee scene. We will be working as full time baristas in the city and are keen photographers, so we'll usually be out and about. We're clean, tidy and sociable, but know the boundaries when it comes to personal space! We get along with pretty much anyone we meet so don't be shy! We're fun, friendly people who enjoy good music, good food and good coffee. Ideally we'd like to live near the centre and its surrounding suburbs. We look forward to meeting you!
We are a easygoing couple and looking to find a nice place to stay. We are tidy and responsible persons. Always trying to make the best out of the day. We love to meet new people and have some nice conversations.
I am a French man working in hotels and restaurants industry. I am very easy-going, clean and open-minded. Would be glad to share meals (I love cooking worldwide food!!!), talks and movies with my roommates even if, of course, I need time for myself sometimes. I am here to work first, meet new people and enjoy the city!
Hi guys, We're a group of 4 friends from UK recently arrived in Melbourne. We're looking for a nice place to stay whilst we all earn some money to help fund our travels. Very clean individuals who are more than happy to help cook and clean. We're an outgoing group but also respectful and know boundaries. Please don't hesitate to get in contact as we are very keen to get in an apartment! Thanks

Oh hey! We're Marco & Nu, a German guy and Melbourne gal who can put the mates in 'housemates'. We're a fun-loving, friendly couple who've just come back from our overseas adventures and are now looking for a more permanent home. Marco is a full time student and I'm a full time travel agent so we're both out and about most days but really appreciate some down time after business hours feat. baking, chill nights in, and road tripping on weekends. We're clean, reliable, respectful, and don't take ourselves too seriously and we'd love to find like-minded housemates who are also keen on the occasional shared dinner and boogie. If you think your household needs more freshly baked goods and a funny accent to complete it you know who to call! (hint: not Ghostbusters)
Why hello there! Hope you're having a splendid day :] After spending three months on a horse farm, my girlfriend and I are looking to join a fun, friendly good vibe house to spend at least a year in. We are both baristas so one big perk we can provide is a constant source of fresh coffee... Also, I'm English, so I make a mean cup of tea. It's hard not to blow your own trumpet on these sorts of things but we really are an easy going couple, who likes to chill and just enjoy getting along with new people and hopefully make new friends. Thanks for reading our nonsense. Best Anita & Stu xx
I am from Northeast of India, so I am a little different from the ones you have met until now. Recently joined as 1st yr research student at Melbourne Uni, dept of Architecture, Construction and Planning, and totally new to Australia. I love to cook and clean, and basically do my own thing. I like watching tv series and listening to music, which I sometimes sing along, regardless of the time or place, . Not paticularly a party girl, but I like to try new foods and drinks in different places from time to time.
My girlfriend and I are looking for a place together. I'm 23, from Scotland, and I work in finance. She's 20, from America, and she works as a pilates instructor. We are quiet, clean, and very respectful. We both love to cook and I make the best curry. I work full time so I generally am only home at nights. She works a couple hours a day so she would be home more often. We look forward to meeting you! :)
I'm a 29 year old American guy that has just finished backpacking in Asia for a year and now I'm settling in Melbourne for awhile. I'm looking for a place for at least 6 months, potentially longer. I worked in IT for 4 years in Chicago but I'm currently in search of cafe work (hopefully day hours). I'm laid back, considerate, keep things clean and have been told that I'm a very easy person to live with. I enjoy running, biking, and cooking. I'm not a huge party person, but definitely enjoy a few drinks after work and the occasional night out. Since I'm new to the city it would be great to become friends with my future flatmates but it's not a must.
I am a English nurse a non smoker who is very clean, tidy and respectful. I work hard and enjoy my days off. I am a mature professional but young at hard and easy going and always up for laugh. I am new to Melbourne and not 100% sure of the areas yet but wanting to share with 1 other non smoker somewhere nice near a beach and not to far away from the City. Ideally i would like a house with a pool and bbq area (not an apartment) but it is not essential.
I'm Haley. Currently I am working full time as a Personal Assistant. I'm 23 years old and I'm looking for a place to call home. I work from 8-6 everyday and have weekends off. On my weekends I try and hang out outdoors. I will either be exercising, at the markets, cooking, catching up with girlfriends or just relaxing at home. I also have family and friends in Bendigo as I am originally from there so I travel home quite a bit. I am relatively quiet, very easy going, relaxed, respectful and clean. Living in a clean and tidy house is really important to me so I would like to live with someone who has the same mindset, please do not contact me if you cannot put your dishes away and leave your stuff lying around the house. I am looking for a flatmate that I can become friends with and share the occasional dinner/brunch and a laugh, but also someone that likes their own space and independance. At this stage I am looking for a place for about 6 months but if I can find a place that feels like home I will stay for longer if possible.
