My partner Julian and I are from the US, and are looking for a place in Melbourne for 6-8 months. On our off days, we enjoy attending gigs, doing something creative or spending time outside. We're both very easy going and are always willing to lend a hand wherever possible. I would like someone easy going and honest as a roommate. Sweet, thank you!
Laid back and sociable but used to sharing flats so appreciate the need to allow people their own space too! I work in corporate finance and have just moved over from Edinburgh to work here for a few years.
I am from an Indian city called Kolkata, also called as city of Joy. I am a finance and accounting professional, with experience of working in multinational companies. I would be Arriving to Melbourne on Permanent Residency Visa. I am looking for shared accommodation for a few months until I get a suitable house on rent. I am a friendly, understanding and adaptable person.
Looking for a peaceful place to live, with friendly housemates. Hard worker I'm not very often at home, I really like meeting new people though, I'm someone tidy so I hope I'll be able to find something that suits my needs. Cheers
I'm a student at the University of Melbourne, just started a masters after working in London for a couple of years. The course is two years, full-time, so ideally I'd love somewhere to call home for at least the duration of my degree, if not longer! I'm a pretty clean, quiet and easygoing flatmate - I've been in flatshares for the past 5 years - I also love to cook, and am generally down for any sort of group dinners or Netflix binges or whatever. This will be the first time I've spent any amount of time in Melbourne, so I'm looking forward to finding somewhere I can experience the best of both worlds. During the week I'd say my vibe is much more 'homebody' - I'll be at uni and/or studying mainly, reading a lot, procrastinating via baking etc., etc., but during the weekend I'm aiming for more of a markets-and-music type thing, provided the procrasti-baking hasn't gotten too out of hand :) A few extra details, I guess - I've not got any dietary restrictions or preferences, though I would of course be respectful if flat-sharing with anyone who does, I would prefer an LGBTQ+ friendly environment, and I'm down for cohabiting with pets, although I don't have any of my own. If none of this sounds unreasonable, I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi my future housemates I am Ketty, I work full time in apparels industry and have been traveling to many countries for work and leisure that I am an open minded and respectful person who gets along well with pretty much everyone:) My lifestyle is quite active and social that I go to gym after work and out during my days off hanging with friends, hunting for good cafe (absolutely a coffee lover), exploring the city for festival, markets and museums or just chill in the libraries sometimes and enjoying the beach in sunny days. I keep myself eating healthy that I cook often (maybe not the best cook but pretty creative lol) and I also drink a little wine and beer occasionally that I think it would be great if there is someone to share with sometimes. I also like to keep my living place clean and tidy and always up to help out cleaning communal spaces. Looking forward to meeting you:D

Junior doctor working full time. Quiet clean and tidy. Friendly, easy going, respect personal space. Looking for long-term accommodation. Relocating from Brisbane, originally from Hong Kong. Myself and my partner are looking to teamup with some more people to move into a house, singles or couples it doesn't really matter just as long as you're a fairly decent human being that should be enough! We are a couple but in no way 'lovey dovey', sickly over the top, matching outfits type couple. Were both in our late 20's and not looking to live in a party-house, although we are still social people. Ideally we would like to live with people that are of the same mindset and are about for a glass of wine and a chat at least some of the time! We both enjoy cooking and would probably have friends over for dinner every now and again. We are English and Irish, Daniel is a photographer so working freelance and also has a full-time job, I am working am working on marketing a small start-up project whilst working in a bar part-time to pay the bills. Interests include art and culture, reading, photography, music is a huge one, and getting into nature with a tent, campfire and staring at the stars whenever we can. Our friend Ross, also from the UK will be looking to rent with us - he is a down to earth mid-20's guy who works full-time so we are looking for a 3/4 (or maybe 5) bedroom house. The idea of getting another couple/single onboard means that we can comfortably afford a very nice property as our budget will be a lot heftier. After a property that is not an apartment building in the city centre, somewhere in the inner suburbs ideally with some green space but not too far away from the centre. - Areas; Fitzroy, North Fitzroy, Carlton, North Carlton, Collingwood, East Melbourne, -Budget; 250pp (3 of us making a total of 750pw) - Non veggies but obviously no problem if you are -LGBT friendly -Lease length; can do 12 months -Dates; can move from the start of February -Open to having pets if the lease allows
We are a hardworking couple from Germany. We are very tidy and well groomed. Both respectful and very friendly. In our free time we like to enjoy our time at the beach or doing something outside. In the evening we like to have a glass of wine but we are no party animals. We are looking forward to hear from you :-)
I am laid back and easy going. This makes me quite easy to get along with. I am also a movie goer and movie nerd. Except for weekends or public holidays, I am quite busy. However, I enjoy one or two drinks at the end of the day and I will enjoy a friendly chat with pals. I love children and I am quite OK with living with a family. Actually they remind me of my own kids.
Looking to share or team up with another awesome chick. I have my 7 year old son 50/50 of the time. I would have him several nights in the week, some weekends and school holidays. He is like me though- a quiet, considerate, easy going, gentle, social soul. He plays quietly with lego a lot or we are out playing in the park with friends. He gets on well with other kids and adults alike. I have no doubt he will embrace the company. I have just finished my studies and newly qualified as a Naturopath. Relocating back after 10 years in Queensland. Into sustainable, low tox living, yoga and meditation. I love cooking and nurturing through food. I do fun stuff like make my own bone broth, I have, slow cooker and a cold press juicer to share! I'm artistic, caring, thoughtful, social, enthusiastic, easy going. Even though my full on party days are behind me I like a little boogie now and then and still go out to gigs and pubs from time to time. Love a good laugh. Looking forward to sharing a home, potentially sharing cooking and shopping duties but not really fussed. Would love someone I can sit around and have a natter with over a cup of tea. I also have an 11 year old dog (kelpie x lab x ridgeback as per my profile shot) that I would dearly love to have with me. But understand if can't. But she is great, gentle company, a great guard dog and you generally wouldn't even notice she was there.
I am a software engineer moving to Melbourne for work and study. Growing up in a culturally diverse setup, I am chill through and through: seldom complaining, eager to go along with the rest of the group and rarely fretting. It's always good to have a chilled techie as flatmate!
Anyone keen to join me in looking for an a place together? Originally from country Victoria, have been in Melbourne for 16 years +. I work full time in the Docklands & also have a casual job which is mainly during the AFL footy season. I am looking for someone who is easy to get along with, cooks the odd meal together, is clean & has the occasion drink together. I value yours and my space. I would also be interested in a team up: (I have most things to set up a a house. I come with a fridge, tv, washing machine, weber bbq, couch, crockery & the usual utensils. I also have a car, so would require parking.
My name is Andreas, I am 22 currently studying Physics at Swinburne. Easy to get along with, play soccer, love the gym, enjoy watching sports, playing video games, clean and tidy and not a hermit but can definitely respect private space as I have lived with other people before. If I haven't said something here and you're not sure please don't hesitate to message me and I'll get back to you ASAP! :)
Hi Everybody, 9th of February I'm moving to Melbourne to start my masters at Monash in Environment and Sustainability. I'll be coming from The Netherlands (born and raised in Amsterdam) and 25years old. I've had multiple experiences with different shared households. I consider myself tight and clean, definitely in the kitchen where I love to cook, preferably for others:) I like all kinds of sports, at the moment i'm in to Salsa and boxing, but i'm literally up for anything. Rock climbing, tennis... you name it! I'm happy to go out in the weekends and chill during the week to focus on my studies and a parttime job. Last year I have been traveling for 9 month through South America which was amazing! I love meeting new people and different cultures. Because I will be studying at Clayton Campus and would like to bike there, I prefer a room surrounding Richmond. Hope to see you as my future roommate! Cheerz, Maria van der Schoot
We’re a Swedish couple, taking a break from the Swedish cold for a couple of months! We’re very easy going and want to get to know Melbourne everyday life and culture. Frida, 25, has a working holiday visa and will be working in retail or restaurant. She’s also applying for architecture school in Stockholm and will be working on the admission test in Melbourne. Benjamin, 32, has taken time off from work as graphic designer and project manager in the tech business, to focus on personal startups and to get a nice break from ten years in employment. He will attend tech meet ups, work on personal projects, and do touristy things during the stay.
