I’m friendly, clean, considerate and respectful of privacy. I spend the weekdays working hard and the evenings out with friends or relaxing at home with my dog. I’m a courier driver originally from Manchester, England but have been here for nine years now and call it home. I love spending time with decent people, listening to music, playing the drums, guitar or ukulele and having a drink and a laugh.
Hey! I'm moving to Canberra from Perth late January to begin working in the public service. I'm looking for a furnished room and I don't mind paying extra for my own bathroom. I will be bringing my car, so a car space or easy parking will be needed. I love to travel, go out to eat and sleep. I can be quite the chatterbox, but also do keep to myself and like my downtime (naps). I'm clean, respectful and excited to see what's around the Canberra area, would love if weekend adventuring out and about was a thing! I'm just hoping to see what's out there at the moment leading up to my move :)
I'm a friendly person who likes hanging out with others but also enjoys being a bit of a homebody. I'm generally pretty organized and neat. I love playing video games, reading and doing some crafting. I also love pets though I have none myself so I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of a household with animals. I'll be moving up to Canberra in January 2018 from Melbourne to join an APS graduate program so I'll be working full time. I'm looking forward to exploring Canberra but also to catching up on my Netflix queue, I've been so busy this year I have lots to catch up on! I would bring my own bedroom furniture e.g. bed, side table etc. Move in date is flexible, between late January or early February. I would also be willing to consider leases between 6 months and a year.
Hi, I am Gabby, a law graduate who is moving from Brisbane to Canberra in early February. I am moving to undertake a role in the private sector. During the week I will be busy with work and come the weekend be exploring Canberra. I am easy to get along with, clean and love a good chat. I am hoping to find housemates who are similar, who are happy to socialise, such as family dinners or drinks but also respect one's own space. I would prefer to lease an unfurnished room and do have other furnishings for the home if needed. If you think I sound like a good fit for your home, please send me a message :)
Hi there! I'm Luella, 24 year old female. I grew up in Melbourne but am moving to Canberra for full-time work in January 2018. I will be working in Tuggeranong, but am hoping to find a place closer to the city. I've just finished an arts degree in sociology and literature. I love reading and learning new things. I'm a mostly quiet person but friendly and hoping to make some friends in Canberra. I have a long term partner who will be remaining in Melbourne for work so I will be going back to visit semi-regularly, and he will also visit occasionally on weekends. I have a lovely 13 year old cat named Mookin who, now he is older, loves to sleep and have a cuddle. He's an indoor only cat and a room with an ensuite would be ideal so his food can stay in there and he can keep to my room.
Hi my name’s Rithvik! I’m a young professional making the trek up from Melbourne to join the APS, and I’m looking for a share-house to move into by early/mid-February. I’d say I’m easy-going, sociable and always up for a chat/laugh. I believe I’m someone who is considerate of others, neat and more than willing to pull my weight around the house. In my spare time I enjoy seeing live music, watching a bit of Netflix, hanging out with friends, listening to podcasts and keeping active. Looking for a friendly and sociable house.
Moving from Sydney to Canberra to start a graduate program in January 2018. Looking for people to share accommodation with, preferably in Kingston. I am an easy-going and organised person. I love to have a laugh. I enjoy sport/gym, cafes, and a bit of nextflix. I am neat and tidy, and respectful of others peoples' space. I also enjoy a bit of banter and company. Looking for a friendly house where everyone gets along, but also has their independence.
Hi everyone :) Like everyone else i am looking for a room to live in ;) I am positive, outgoing and always up for a chat. I am very social, but also respect and appreciate privacy. I enjoy being active, but am also up for netflix and wine. I will be in Canberra for 6 months, as i will be doing an internship at the Danish Embassy. As i am travelling from Denmark, the room would need to be furnished, as i do not have room for my bed in my suitcase ;) I would also be interested in team ups, and I have a friend (fellow intern) who will also be willing to move in, if two rooms were available. Please shoot me a message if you have anything that might be of interest :)
Hi there! I'm Gee, 26 years old and moving to Canberra to take up a graduate policy role in government. I've been living in a sharehouse in Melbourne for the past 9 months and previously lived in NYC for a couple of months so have a bit of share house experience. I'm not looking for a party house and prefer a quiet and pleasant home to come back to after work. I'm clean, pretty laid back and understand personal space although I love to have the occasional glass of wine or dinner with my housemate/s. In my spare time I like to read, binge watch an ungodly amount of netflix, learn Indonesian and hitting the gym. I also love to cook! Living in Melbourne I'm keen to see what Canberra's brunch scene is like and my aim is not to be a homebody during the weekend. I have a partner so ideally I'd love housemate/s who don't mind if he visits. He lives and works in Melbourne though so he would only be around on the weekends every 6-8 weeks. I'll also be going to Melbourne every month. I'm planning to bring my car, so would need off street parking or a parking permit but I'm happy either way. I'd prefer to go on a lease, and happy to complete a rental application etc Hoping to come down to Canberra to look at some places in Mid/Late December and ideally would like to move in late Jan (although I don't mind paying rent a few weeks earlier if necessary). If you're interested, please send me a message and we can get talking :)
I'm 40 and just returned to Canberra after three years living in Sydney. Originally from NZ, but lived in Canberra from 2011-2014. I work in media and communications. I like to go for walks (including some pretty lengthy ones), head to pub trivia and play golf. I think I'm a very considerate person to live with and am happy to have a chat or keep to myself depending on my housemate's preference and/or state of mind on a given day. FYI, I found a housemate online when I moved to Canberra back in 2011 and we remain very close friends today. Hoping to find an equally awesome housemate this time around. Let me know if you're keen to catch up for a coffee -- or something stronger. Gavin
Young professional specialized in law from Finland, Europe, looking for a flat/flatmates due to a internship in an Embassy in Canberra. I'm staying from January to April and afterwards going to travel around Australia. Few facts about me: - 26-year-old law student from Finland, Europe, - Respectful, open minded, positive attitude, - I'm neat, tidy and happy to help with house chores, - Non-smoker nor a fan of party life, but a glass of wine on a weekend when served with good company is always welcomed! - Languages: English, Finnish, French, Swedish What I'm looking for my stay: - to meet new people, make friends, - morning runs and other sports, - work full-time, - finalize my Master's thesis under the Oz sun, - enjoy good food (I love cooking!) and experience Australia thoroughly since it's my first time there.
Hello! I’m a professional that works full time, pretty tidy, can make delicious food and cocktails and am a very drama free person. I’m an outgoing introvert, so I love company, but will need my own space to chill and recharge at times. I’m well travelled and have been living in Canberra for almost 2 years, but have been away for work almost a year of that collectively. I technically don’t have any pets yet, but my sister has a cat she’s caring for that I’d love to adopt and love animals in general. So I’m definitely pro-pets. I'd prefer a non-smoking and drug-free household, and while I don’t consider myself a clean freak, would prefer to keep the communal areas pretty clean (dishes in the dishwasher and not left in the sink for days, no popcorn left in the couch... you know, the usual stuff). I’ve got enough furniture for a 2 bedroom apartment but am looking to upgrade to a house and share with people to reduce my rent spendings so I can hopefully afford a house deposit and smashed avo’s on toast. I’m looking to share with cool professionals that are respectful of space but happy to share the occasional meal and a glass of wine. UPDATE: I've teamed up with someone and we're looking for a bigger house in the inner south. We'd be looking for one or two more people to team up with. The idea would be to have a spare bedroom regardless (so a 4 bedroom house for 3 people, 5 bedrooms for 4) and have a couple of living spaces. We'd also be looking for people that would be pro-paying for a cleaner once a month and are good with both dogs and cats.
My name is Mel, I’m 28 and looking to move to Canberra in January to start a new job as a junior doctor. I don’t know many people in Canberra so it would be great to make some new friends and I’m looking forward to exploring the world’s 3rd finest city! I’m easy-going, social and neat, enjoy catching up over a wine or two and watching Netflix but also respect people's space. I enjoy good food, like being active and try to get outside as much as possible. My job will probably involve some shift work at times so I might need to sleep odd hours occasionally.. Let me know if you think I'd be a good fit for your place!
Hey flatmate hunters! I'm looking for a flatmate to team up with to find a place. I've lived in Canberra for the past couple of years, working in international affairs. Before that, I was overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years working with a human rights NGO. Don't judge me, but I'm originally from Adelaide. I'm pretty active and love being outdoors - playing sport, camping, hiking, snowboarding (not always well!). I love watching football (round and oval ball), and binging on netflix. I've just finished season 4 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so open to suggestions!! What I'm looking for... Ideally I'm looking to team up with one other person to find a 2 or 3 bed place in the inner south. I'm in the process of getting a Border Collie puppy, so I'm looking for somewhere with a reasonable sized courtyard/backyard which allows pets and a housemate who likes dogs. I'm willing to pay up to $300pw. I’d like to live in a house that feels more like a home, with someone who's keen to hang out and socialise, but who wont get offended when I occasionally look to chill on my own! I’ve got a few bits and pieces of furniture - though anyone in possession of a washing machine will be highly regarded! ☺ Give me a shout if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat! Cheers, Trystan
Hi, My name is Nicollette, I am an easy going 21-year-old female who will be working full time as a registered nurse and looking for a place to stay (All female) for roughly one year. I am clean and tidy but not overly pedantic. I’m always up for a chat, dinner or drinks, not a big party person either and respectful of others personal space. I will also be bringing a small budgie-sized bird with me who won’t be any trouble :) I am looking to move in early February so please send me a message if interested.
Hey all, I'm Menaka. I'm a lawyer from Sydney, moving to Canberra to work in the public service from mid-Jan. This is Canberra round 2 for me and I'm keen to move into a nice share place with one or two others. As a housemate I'm pretty easy-going, friendly, and generally up for a drink or two!
Ayden & I are both active individuals who enjoy our down time when at home. When we're not training or traveling for competition (we're cyclists) we're usually watching netflix or down the road at a cafe. Other than cycling, I have just recently completed my undergraduate architecture degree in Sydney and plan on starting my masters degree in March at the University of Canberra. I love to cook & bake and appreciate a clean living environment. Ayden is super easy going & can get along with just about anyone (and he knows how to make a good cup of tea)! In between training he works with a catering company. We're looking for a new place as my lease in Sydney ends in November & Ayden's current Canberran flatmates are moving on in February. Ideally looking for a master bedroom with ensuite & also the capacity to store a few bikes. Minimum stay 6 months.
Hi, I’m from Perth and will be moving to Canberra in February to start a grad job. I am equally happy to kick back and watch tv and play video games, or have a few drinks with friends. I’m tidy and don’t smoke. Would prefer to live with only one or two housemates.
I have been living in Canberra for 2 years now after moving from Brisbane for a graduate role as an Electrical / ICT Engineer. I have been living in an apartment in Kingston/Griffith with my housemate for the entire time and would like to stay in the inner-south. I am in my mid-twenties, friendly, practical, very clean, like to cook and easy to live with. Flexible and happy to chill out and have a chat or do our own thing. I come with a massive movie collection, 'handyman' skills and a good sense of humour. I am looking for someone willing for me to move in month-to-month as I am potentially going overseas for work Q1/Q2 in 2018. Looking to move mid-January 2018
Hey I'm Steph and i'm from Melb but moving to Canberra to start a my job as a speech pathologist at Canberra Hospital in early Jan. I'm easy going, tidy, fun, polite, lover of dogs! don't mind a glass of wine with friends on the weekend or during the week, enjoy my own space yet happy to chat and watch tv or cook with other housemates!
