On a short secondment for 2 months in Canberra until end of June. Looking for a place that is ideally furnished for short term rent. I work full time during the week and most weekends I'm out. Have lived in share houses before and have a real estate reference.
Hey there We're Ellie and Lachlan :) Young couple looking for a room either in a sharehouse or by ourselves. We're both friendly, good fun and responsible upstanding full time public servants. Ellie loves her netflix and cacao nibs while Lachlan loves cycling and dominos $5 pizzas. Collectively we don't have much furniture so furnished or unfurnished is OK. Get in touch if you like the sound of us! Ellie & Lachlan
Hi there, My name is Rashmi and I'm a 26 year old public servant working in the Parliamentary triangle. I'm looking to move into an existing share house, or to start a new lease with another awesome individual. I've been living in Canberra for 2 years, but am originally from Melbourne. I've been share housing for quite some time and consider myself really clean and tidy, respectful and very easy going. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and absolutely love making food for my housemates and hosting dinner parties. I'm also pretty active and do enjoy checking out the beautiful scenery around Canberra. Coming from Melbourne, I'm often away on the weekend, so you would probably have the apartment to yourself a lot. Unfortunately I don't have any furniture besides that in my bedroom, so I would be looking to start a new lease with someone who has quite a few things, but would happily also purchase furniture if I can find the right fit in housemate. I'm looking for someone with a similar mindset, is fun, likes to have a glass of wine here and there and wouldn't mind having some Netflix binge sessions ;) My lease is up on the 12th of May, so am pretty keeeeeen to get the ball rolling. Please contact me and we can catch up for a coffee or glass of wine. Cheers :)
Fun, active, lover of (red) wine, good food and yoga. I am a full time lawyer getting a 6 month rotation with my firm in the Canberra office. Would love to find a nice space and good people to live with as my home away from home. In my spare time you'll find me in a boxing or yoga studio, hiking or spending time with my friends. I am very social, but self-sufficient!
We love to keep our spaces clean and if you choose to team up with us, you will be coming back to a clean and fresh common space everyday. Basic hygiene will be well taken care of. You might even be in for home cooked food (baked, grilled and steamed) and the occasional pan-fried. Socially, we can be both self-contained and sociable, depending on your preference. I am into social sector and will be actively volunteering in Canberra. David has a background in writing, IT and policy and will be reentering the Australia workforce.
Creative. Relaxed and considerate. Love gardens, leafy suburbs and hikes. From Penrith, Sydney relocated to Canberra to work in public service. Outside of work I write stories, play soccer and jam on the guitar
I am posting on behalf of a friend, so my profile is Narelle Smith, but my friend is Anthony (and the photo is of him). He's a great guy, looking for somewhere that he can have his own time as well as some company and meet new people. He doesn't mind a bevy or two and is great company. He's a decent, trustworthy, honest man with a heart of gold just looking for somewhere to call home for 6 months!! He's from Adelaide, works for DHS, and is a great person to be around.
Hi all, I'm a 28 yo female, recent PhD graduate in genetics from Adelaide and I'm starting ongoing work in the public service next month. I'm currently living on a farm outside of Canberra, so I'd like to find a place in Canberra before work starts, because I am not looking forward to the commute! I'm friendly and social, a n/s and I enjoy brunch (if food counts as a hobby 😉), reading, bushwalking, and hanging with friends. I also love animals, so I'm happy to share with pets.
After 5 years of uni and two degrees I've landed a graduate job (private sector) however its on the other side of the country! So I'm moving to our great nation's capital from Perth at the end of June/early July and need somewhere to live! my budget is around $200-250 per week, less would be preferable and I'd consider more if it includes bills. I've lived out of home for the past 2.5 years so am very used to sharing space with others. I've very house proud and like to have the place looking neat and nicely decorated. I'm coming over with a car and a suitcase so a place with some furnishings is preferable but not essential I can buy whatever I need. I have a lot of clothes and shoes so need a decent wardrobe and probably room for a tall boy and queen bed. I am allergic to cats so thats a no-go, dogs are fine! I don't know a lot of people in Canberra so it is important to me that I get along with those I am living with and my new housemate(s) will be keen to hang out, explore and drink with me. I'm super active, like to run and generally be pretty healthy, I cook a bit too. I like to be social outside the house on the weekends, going for brunch, shopping and other girl stuff. I also like to binge watch tv (OITNB, Rick & Morty, Jane the Virgin, How to get away with murder, the Mindy project, New Girl, Suits etc) I don't watch a lot of movies but when I do they are easy watching chick flicks, rom coms or will Farrell/Seth Rogan type comedy. Likes: chocolate wine cheese a good pub feed eating sleeping being organised not being hungover dogs Dislikes: bugs people asking me to repeat myself then interrupting me after two words with the answer to my question mushrooms being late If you feel I may fit into your household please let me know! and keep in mind I cant move until 30 June
I am an American student coming to Canberra for a summer internship. I'm a pretty easy going dude. I am a pretty active person, I play rugby in the states and will probably be looking to hike, hit the gym, explore the country, and check out Aussie netflix in my free time. I'm a fairly social person; equal parts down to grab a drink or just chill, but also respectful of your space when needed. I'm excited to meet some new people and make new friends, let's make this a summer to remember!
I am a 26 year old working professional moving from Sydney to Canberra. As I am a very social person I am hoping to find a place with people I get along with but that also respect privacy as I do. During the week I work from 8:30-5 and generally enjoy going to the gym or staying home to watch TV and cook. On weekends I tend to be out and about and will most likely be making regular trips to Sydney or back home to the Gold Coast otherwise I would love the flexibility to have a friend or two over for a meal or drink.
We are a young couple (not a fancy one) yet have dreams; dreams not too big, but practical; not impatient, but calm; positive & full of aspirations, yet respectful & ethical; do not drink (hence sober), yet social. And on.. and on.. And if we end up teaming together, you can fill the rest... :)
I'm a Japanese full-time worker who work in tourism industry. I had lived in Brisbane for 6 months and just moved to Canberra. I'm planning to stay canberra for another 6 months. I consider myself easygoing and friendly person. I would love to spend some time with my share mate, watching movies or having some drinks! I prefer own room which is furnished. If you have a room that you think it's suitable for me, please let me know :) Thank you in advance!
Hola! :-D A little bit about me: I'm a super kind and easy going person! Clean and tidy! Social! You can find me me at yoga most week nights, or strolling around the 'burbs/lake. On weekends I love to breaky/brunch out and explore walking trails, finishing the day with drinks at bars with friends. I love to paint, read, cook/bake, currently learning to play the guitar! I love a good movie/tv show marathon on occasion. I vibe and get along with everyone :-)
Full time Communications/IT/Security guy, and part time long distance uni student, working from home as an advance staff member for my company, before a new office is organised. I'm quiet and independent, but more than happy to socialise when housemates want to. Open minded and accepting of all walks of life. If there's animals, especially a dog or two, I'm a very happy camper. I've lived in 3 share houses in Perth, since 2010, with the same group of people. They were complete strangers to begin with, but have since become very close friends, so I know the ropes of living with other people. Very much a neat and tidy person, especially in shared spaces - no point in creating hassles when it's so easy to keep things clean. Couldn't really care less about smoking (i.e I don't smoke, but don't care if others do), same goes for partying, unless there's a complete consensus with all other housemates. I'm good with a pair of gloves, a spade and watering can. Same goes for power tools, and generally fix most things myself, when the need arises. More than happy to allow the professionals/landlords to do this instead though. If you've got issues with a computers, or even basic motoring/bike stuff, I'm pretty good with that stuff too. Basically a jack of many trades and willing to use these skills. During down time, I love a good bourbon/cider/beer and BBQ, pretty good at marinating a bunch of different types of meat too. Throw some good 90's music, or anything that's been played on Triple J for the last 20 years, and I'm pretty happy. Back in WA, I loved throwing myself and my mountain bike down a trail. I enjoy going to the gym, I'm no crazy junky, but I do enjoy keeping myself fit. I own an X-Trail, that doesn't exactly go overly fast, but get's me out and about into bush land, where camping is very much desired. Drop us a bell, and let me know what's going :)
Hi. I have just recently moved from Melbourne to Canberra for work (I'm a teacher - don't let that put you off!) and study (I'm doing my Master's in Asian and Pacific Studies at ANU). I'm an easy going person with a bright and bubbly personality. I've left all my furniture behind in Melbourne so I'm hoping to move into a fully furnished apartment/house - but happy to buy my own bedroom furniture if needed. I grew up in a large family (9 kids) so I know how to share.
Currently renting by myself for $330 a week. Looking for somewhere cheaper or to get a share house. I'm a shift worker who wants to save money 😂 Anywhere around north side or just alittle south
I am a government IT contractor from Sydney. I don't smoke. I am a quiet and clean person. I won't be available most weekends as I will be traveling to Sydney. I enjoy a glass of wine and good conversation. I am looking for a place close to work (Civic). I like eating out, yoga, gym, bike riding, Netflix and movies. I am also looking for housemate with whom I can be good friends with and hang out.
Hey! I'm friendly, easy going, currently studying full-time (RHD) and working part-time, too. I'm my perfect mix of social and enjoying time to myself. Very independent. I'm looking to share with one or two others in a fully furnished, clean, relaxed place with lots of sunlight. If you have a secure car space - even better! :)
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who is a full time self-published writer and performer. I spend most of my days writing (plus admin and marketing my books) in cafes. I have been a counsellor, cleaner and public servant. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
Hi everyone looking at this I work full time, spend my free time PC gaming and would ideally like someone with similar interests, but it's not necessary. Hoping to come out of this with a friend and not just a flat mate. I come from a boarding school background, so I'm well versed in shared accommodation. I'm young and responsible, looking to push my way into the rental market and get some history behind me. Please let me know if you'd be interested in meeting for a coffee to discuss what the future may hold. Thanks :)
Hello, I am currently looking for a room around Kingston or nearby suburb. I am currently studying, doing my internship, and working part-time. I am easy going, friendly, tidy and adheres to house rules. I have experienced flat sharing in Singapore for many years before coming to Australia to start a new journey. I have a bubbly personality. Most of the time I will be busy due to studies, work, and internship, but I can still mingle with housemates at dinner or whenever I can. :)

Hi! I'm looking for a place to call home around the end of May (negotiable)- looking in the inner north/inner south area :) About me: Currently studying nursing/paramedicine at ACU (and will always have some crazy/gruesome stories!). I am currently working full-time as a public servant after moving to Canberra a year ago. I love to cook and make a great cup of coffee. I also tend to keep busy during the week, but enjoy winding down occasionally with a drink and a chat. I'm easy-going and keen to meet new people, but I'm also happy to kick it with my Netflix subscription. I also got an IKEA voucher for Christmas so could always pick up a POÄNG if required (or other useful household items).
I'm an easy going student commencing at ANU in February and I'm looking for a place to rent close by or at least convenient to get to by bus/foot/bike! I lived in a boarding house prior to this and am aware of the general etiquette involved in a shared environment! I'm a sociable person however and respectful of others and sensitive to their space! Thankyou
