Hey there, I am Can Metan. I'll start my PhD in Computer Science very soon and I'm looking for a place to call home. I am a happy, squeaky clean and a trust-worthy guy. I quite enjoy cooking healthy meals and quite sociable in general. While we can share a glass of wine every now and then, I don't drink every week and I certainly don't smoke. I will be working a lot this year (likely to get a job besides PhD) and I would love to have a roomie that can pull his / her own weight. Looking forward to hear from you! PS: I love both dogs and cats (although I'm allergic to cats) and I would strongly prefer a smoke-free house.
I am moving to Canberra for a role in the public service. I already own enough house essentials (fridge, washing machine, lounge etc) to set up a home, I just need housemate/s to help pay the rent. I am only looking for housemates for a team up so we can rent a house together. I have lived in share houses for the last 15 years. I like a housemate/s who enjoy the community of a house and are willing to share meals and explore Canberra together. I am looking for housemates with secure employment and preferably somewhat near my age. I like board games, computer games, binge watching TV shows (Netflix etc), but also like to ride mountain bikes. I shall be in Canberra from the 10th of July and hope to move into a house in the next 3 weeks. I am happy to talk over email before then, and meet in person once I arrive in Canberra. I don't smoke or do drugs, and am happy to drink on occasions. I identify as LGBTI (m2f transgender). The suburbs I have listed are more of a suggestion, and am willing to consider other suburbs.
I am wanting somewhere to stay that is a self contained, one bedroomed unit or granny flat where I will stay ( mainly Sunday to Thursday) each week. Sometimes my husband will join me. We live in Wagga; I am a professional person, quiet and live in a spotless home in Wagga (our own) so would want a bright and cheerful place with light and off street parking if that was possible. I'll be working in Deakin, ACT.
Chill, professional, open-minded guy seeking a relaxed and fun person/bunch to live with (ideally a gender-balanced house). I usually work on foreign aid projects in warm, exotic places, but will be spending the next 18 months working in Canberra. I tend to be active and love being in the ocean or tearing down a track on my mountain bike. Not into partying much anymore (although I can be coaxed into a night out) but do enjoy a social night in with a few drinks and a good movie, or a good book. Often found trying to cook gourmet dishes, sometimes even known to strum a guitar (poorly). The thought of a Canberra winter terrifies me and I don't really know anyone there yet, so I'll most likely spend my time defrosting in front of the heater until the warmer months roll around :) Some fun facts about me: - Once caught a pig in a swimming race (I won) - Almost tumbled into a lava pit during a holiday - Favourite movies include Dr Strangelove, Casablanca, The Truman Show and Blade Runner - Travelled to about 30 countries, lived in 8 Oh, and I'm open to other suburbs and also higher weekly rents if it's all good.
I'm a 46 year old professional from Sydney and will be joining a company in Braddon on 5/6/2017. I'm planning to stay in Canberra only 4 week nights (from Monday to Thursday) as I will be travelling to back to Sydney for the weekend. Occasionally I might stay for the weekend. Also I'm looking for a furnished room with an ensuite or separate bathroom (not a shared bathroom). Rent per week - $ negotiable depending on the location..
Hi ! I'm a full-time professional who's looking to find a place near work. I'm clean and tidy and hope to find someone who's the same. But more than anything else I would like to find someone I get along with. I'm hoping to start a new place. Hopefully with someone with (or a willingness to purchase) a refrigerator and washing machine. I should have everything else (TV, couch, coffee table, dining table etc.)!
I am a very independent, tidy person. Having lived in shared accommodation before I know how to clean up after myself and will be conscientious and respect the privacy of other room mates. I am a generally quiet person but love to sit down with friends for a chat at the end of the day. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music and reading when I have the chance. I'm a bit of a creative so I'll almost always be drawing or painting something. I work full time in Kingston at Crowe Horwath.
My name is Bella, I'm 22 and I currently work full time in a consulting firm in Fyshwick. I love to cook, am clean, and love to socialise, but can understand if people need their own space. I am in need of somewhere new to live in Canberra for me and my fatlord of a cat. I'm trying to see if there were anyone people out there who are happy with living with said fatlord, who would be interested in seeking out a new lease in a pet friendly property. Alternatively, if you have a friendly house with a bedroom than needs filling, please let me know! I'd be happy to live with 1-3 other people, and live anywhere from inner north to weston creek or woden, or queanbeyan. I also have a toilet trained boyfriend who will visit. Hope to hear from you soon!
I'm currently in my final year of Law, and am working part-time (around 30 hours a week). I love cooking, especially baking and am always up for a good conversation over food. I don't mind a drink every now and then, but don't drink too often. In my down time, I will probably be watching Netflix, out rock-climbing, or catching up with friends. I'm happy to be in a communal setting, but am also respectful of other people's space. I clean up after myself, and love being in a warm, inviting environment. I'm from the South Coast, so travel back often over my days off to see family, and also am planning to travel later in the year (happy to pay for rent over this time). Ideally, the location will be somewhere I'm able to travel to most central areas on bike, as my work is currently in the city - but prefer the inner south.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. You can expect me to keep my area tidy and clean, contribute to my fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I am in my 50's, single, kids are all grown and flown. I am Canberra born and bred, single, kids have all grown up. I can cook, and being a home renovator I'm pretty good at fixing things I own a 5 year old Jack Russell who is extremely people/kid friendly. She needs to have some secure outside space. If you'd like to know more please give me a call or send a message.

I’m looking for somewhere closer to the city than I currently am, preferably with its own bathroom. I moved to Canberra from Perth earlier this year to work for the public service. My current lease runs out at the end of July so I'm looking for a nice, homely apartment, townhouse or unit within 15 minutes of the city. Looking for a place with 1 or 2 housemates who are clean and respectful of privacy, but like to cook, watch movies, and hang out together sometimes! Please contact me if you are looking for someone to move in from mid July :)
I'm 32 from the UK and have just recently moved to Canberra. I'm looking for something long term and a housemate who's fun and likes to have a laugh. I'm easy going, enjoy cooking and like to have the odd glass of wine. l'm tidy, respectful and also enjoy the occasional hike.
I'm looking to join or create a mixed sharehouse with a great vibe - ideally one where everyone is keen on the occasional house 'family' dinner and the odd weekend adventure (be it camping down the coast… or brunch). I work as a public servant, play hockey and touch footy, love reading and dancing to old school RnB and enjoy just hanging out. I also come with a foosball table and a tiny bit of competitiveness.
Hi my name is Abbie! I'm a 24 year old who just moved to Canberra from Tassie for a job! I'm a friendly and outgoing person who likes to socialise with housemates but I am someone who also enjoys some personal space. I like anything to do with food and outdoor activities. Being new to Canberra, it would be great to meet some people who can show me the ropes!
I'm Sam, 25 years old, work in logistics at IKEA and currently commuting from Goulburn for work. Looking to find a place to stay closer to work and Canberra. I'm friendly, tidy and respectful.
Am about to move to Canberra from Sydney for work and looking for somewhere to live. I work in the media industry and am after a flatmate(s) that enjoy a bit of fun but also down time. Preferable areas include inner south and inner north.
Easy going young professional, making the move to Canberra from Sydney for a grad job. I have been living in share housing in Sydney for the last few years, so I am very used to communal living. I spend my spare time playing sport, exercising, hanging out with friends and going out for a drink.
G'day there. Easy going Aussie guy with an awesome half sized kelpie (2 yr old) billy. He grew up and lived me in a pub that I was running recently so awesome around homes and people. I'm a rugby nut, Australias first openly gay 1st grade premiership coach . Moving from perth over to ACT to be back close to family and friends and to give the Canberra lifestyle a go. Will be working in hospitality and involved in rugby so won't be around much! Usually up most mornings to take Billy for a run and try to get out and about at some other time during the day so he (and I) get plenty of exercise. Love going for a few beers/dinner or just chilling at home over a bottle of red (don't mind cooking the odd meal for my roomies if we are all home and keen to catch up every now and then as well).
I'm a PhD student at the ANU, coming back from fieldwork in Asia in July/August. I keep clean habits especially around the shared areas. I cook simple healthy meals, and generally try to keep an active lifestyle if time allows. I'm from Vietnam but can speak English and Mandarin. I'm looking for a place to stay for 6 months, likely more. I prefer a quiet, clean place, mostly furnished. I'm happy to help out around the house, and would love to join in social gatherings and shared dinners. I'm currently still overseas so please contact me through this website. Will be back by the last week of July.
My name is Mike, I'm originally from Toronto, Canada. I've been living in Australia for 4 years and received my Juris Doctor from UC - I graduated at the end of last year. I'm currently working in Kingston and would love to find a place close by. I'm easy going, mostly keep to myself, but don't mind a chat, tidy, respectful, reliable. Just an all round decent guy really haha kidding...but seriously.
I'm east to get along with and have a lot of different interests. Love playing sport, going for trail walks, morning coffees, good chats & learning about different things. Although I'm a crap cook I'm trying to get better, and have to admit I'm pretty bummed about the lack of surfing opportunities in Canberra, but aiming to make up for it with the odd weekend trip to Perisha! I work in R&D management and have to relocate to Canberra from Perth for a new job. Ideally looking for a 2 x 2 to share, but feel free to msg me if you're interested in a bigger share place. Cheers!
Moving back to Canberra from Sydney for public service work. I am independent, tidy, and considerate of others, having lived in shared accommodation my whole adult life. I like having a good convo, watching lifestyle tele, or sharing a laugh or listening to music, and being generally excited about looking forward to going out and doing things. I also look to keep fit, and eat well. I don't usually cook elaborate food, but open to trying. I am looking to move fairly soon, by around end June, and would prefer living in inner suburbs. If you have a place in a house, or want to team up to get one to share, let me know.
I am a registered nurse at Calvary John James, have a busy lifestyle, very clean and tidy. Looking for a one bed flat or granny flat preferably in South Canberra. Don't mind sharing as long as i can have an ensuit or own bathroom.
Hey, My name is Allie and I'm 21 years old. I currently work full time in realestate and also teach dance on the side. On top of this I'm also studying my realestate certificate so I'm relatively busy. I'm a polite, clean and respectful person who is always more than happy to chip in and do my part around the house. I'm after a place where I can feel like I'm at home not like I'm staying in someone else's place and I'm also after roommates who aren't scared to have a chat and hangout but can also respect privacy 😊✌️

Hey there! Moving out of my sharehouse in Hackett in July and looking for a room with some cool people :) Reasons why I reckon I'm great to live with: 1) Love to have conversations about everything. Seriously, from history/political events to the pineapple pizza debate (pro-pineapple btw), just pick a topic and go. 2) Aires; this month I will find a new beginning, so that's something 3) Banter game strong 4) Own a BBQ and cook some mean burgers (American mother, it's in my blood); can lend it to my friend if there's no space as well, no dramas. 5) Lived overseas (HK and Taiwan) for a collective 10 years before moving back to Australia for uni 6) Play a little bit of bass so any drummers/musicians in the house holla at your boy and lets jam 7) Spag bog is also in the repertoire 8) I'm very tall (can reach high shelves on request) 9) Mediocre at all things video game related 10) Board game fanatic (if you play chess, I'll wanna play all the time) 11) Queenslander I've lived in a few sharehouses before so I'm pretty well versed on the general etiquette (clean/tidy), but also know that each place is different and will go in with an open mind, keen to make some friends out of it cause if you can't be friends with the people you live with then that's just sucky. Send me a message if you think we'd get along and we can have a chat over a coffee/wine! Flexible with move in dates past July 1st
I'm James 27 working professional in the Kingston area. I'm quite not really into partying but don't mind the occasional drink with friends or dinners. I'm very laid back enjoy me time. I'm quite to live with. I use headphones for everything including watching unless watching with others. So no issues with noise. I'd prefer somewhere in Kingston or as close to the area as possible. Somewhat flexible with the move in date.
I consider myself to be clean, honest, considerate, courteous, responsible, capable, non judgemental and mature for my age. I get on well and feel comfortable with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I enjoy both my own time to rest and recharge as well as socialising when possible. I have been fortunate enough to secure an apprenticeship at the place I wished to work at near the Kingston foreshore. My job and its location are excellent as are my co-workers. We get on very well and like to get together and socialise occasionally. So I am happy, content, easy going and focused on my job and future. I just need to be able to find a place to share with like minded people, much closer to work, as soon as possible, in order to avoid the 3hr per day commute that has plagued me for the last 11 months (and my life would be almost perfect).
Hey !! Looking to move into a two beddy in the kingston/manuka/griffith area.. super easy going, clean and respectful. I am currently working at the New Zealand High Commission part time and returning to New Zealand in September where I will be working for the New Zealand Ministry of Defence. I just finished my masters in strategic studies at ANU. I consider myself fairly social, but I do like to have a relaxing space to come home to. I love cooking - especially pizza and Italian food. I consider myself tidy and relaxed. I wish I could have a cat or a dog so if you have one I will treat them as though they are one of my own.
