Hello future flatmates! I'm a final year Arts/Law student and I work full time at a publishing firm at Parliament House. After deferring uni last semester to undertake an internship in Berlin, I'm looking for a new place to call home as soon as possible! You’ll find me to be an upbeat, uncomplicated, tidy and considerate housemate. I really love to cook and I enjoy a good chat (with or without a glass of red wine). When I’m not baking or cooking up a storm for friends and loved ones (housemates included!), I’m either volunteering, reading books, watching foreign films, learning new languages, trying out new restaurants, at the gym, going out for walks (and purposely getting lost to find cool stuff!) or travelling. While I’m just as happy to be alone doing any of the aforementioned things, I’m always happy to have company too. Looking forward to hearing from you and creating Canberra's most fabulous sharehouse!
Hey there, I am Thomas. I grew up in Paris and studied Earth Sciences in both Paris and Zürich (five months). For the next three to four years I will be studying at the Research School of Earth Sciences of the ANU as a PhD candidate. I am definitely easy-going, love listening to music, enjoy meeting up and partying with friends as well as watching movies or playing games. Not the best cook, expect me to try, but success is not always there ! Most importantly I would say, always paying attention to others and ready to give a hand !
I'm a 27 year old full-time public servant looking for a new place to live. I'm very easy to live with, just as happy to have a chat/watch TV with housemates as I am to entertain myself with a movie or a book.
Hey there! I'm looking to make the move to the ACT in late August - mid September from the NSW south coast for work and to begin my studies. I'd say I'm a great, easy person to live with as I like to keep things clean and tidy, am a reliable person when it comes to paying the rent and do respect the privacy of others. I do keep to myself most of the time and do appreciate my quiet time to recharge, but am always up for a stimulating conversation with a few good laughs thrown in over a good meal or a coffee as well as getting the opportunity to meet new people and develop friendships. I'm an active person - in my free time I enjoy keeping fit by going for long walks, the gym and have been involved in sport and fitness most of my life. I also enjoy getting out of the house and going for nice long roadtrips and stopping off to new places to explore.
Hi my names Olivia and I'm looking for a quieter place to live hopefully in South Canberra due to work location. I'm neat, tidy, pay bills on time and will always do my share of the workload. I'm interested in gym and cycling generally but will happily wind down with a book at the end of the day. Hoping for a furnished room but will happily live in an unfurnished place
Hi, I'm Gillian! I've been in Canberra for 6 months, originally from Melbourne and working full-time in the APS. I'm very easy to live with, clean and respectful. Happy to have the odd drink or meal with housemates, but equally happy doing my own thing. Food (or perhaps eating) is my calling - I love finding new places to eat, enjoy reading in my spare time, attempting to grow plants and spending the odd pyjama day on the couch binging on trashy tv. Ideally I'd like to live with someone like minded, but am pretty flexible in who that or they may be. I don't have much furniture wise (other than for my room), but have plenty of handy bits and pieces for around the house.
Hey, I am a student completing my hospitality internship at The Hotel Kurrajong. Therefore, would be working part time. I am very easy going and fairly adjustable. I like to socialize but at the same time do my own thing. Really love to cook, play a few sports (cricket, football) and learning to play the guitar (New hobby :p). Would preferably look for an accommodation in south Canberra or city center as I do not have a vehicle or near a public transport stop for easy access. Cheers, Arvind
Hi, I'm Steph :) I'm a 25 year old postgraduate student, who loves yoga, Netball, reading and travel. I am moving to Canberra to complete a 4 to 5 month placement as part of my studies and considering staying on longer depending on work opportunities. I am looking for somewhere to live in either the Griffith, Kingston or Braddon area, with a lovely housemate/housemates. I love catching up over a cup of tea or glass of wine but also enjoy having some down time to read a good book or to watch a movie. I am considerate and tidy, and enjoy living in a welcoming and well-kept space. I would like to live somewhere where friends and partners are welcome, but not a party house. I will be on placement three days, studying/working from home two days and in and out of the house on weekends. If I sound like a good match for your place, please get in touch.
Need a place to live for my internship from 14th July - 16th of October. I already have a houseshare but I keep looking for other options from 14th August - 16th Oct! The dream location will be Yarralumla (close to the Embassy). I love food: both cooking and eating, I am super sporty: must run or go to gym or any other workout almost every day. I like hanging around, I am a sociable person but not a must that the roommate shares the same. Respect to each other and loyalty are the most important features! I'm pretty outgoing, like get to known new things. I also fancy late night evenings with sunset and early calls.
I'm a 23-year-old soon to be public health grad from Melbourne who will be working full-time from March 2018. I'm looking for housemates/share-house close to Forrest so I can cycle/walk/take public transport. Peter is 24, an audiologist who will be working on Northbourne Avenue. You can expect us to keep our area tidy and clean, contribute to our fair share of the housework and pay rent and bills on time. I love going to musicals, concerts, visiting art galleries and planning future holiday trips. I also enjoy visiting the cinema, exploring the bush/going on road trips whenever I can and spending quality time with friends and family. I plan to visit home often on weekends.
I'm Therese. I'm 25 years old and I am relocating from Sydney to Canberra for work in August. I have a very friendly and easy going personality. I love bushwalking, swimming, rock climbing, playing netball, reading and spending time with my family and friends. I also love baking and will provide an unending supply of cookies and cakes to my housemate/s. I am super relaxed to live with and I love things to be clean and organised! NB: I am horribly allergic to cats so unfortunately I cannot consider any places that have friendly felines, sorry!
My name is Lottie, I am 26, Canberra girl, no partner, friendly, laugh a lot and chatty but not in your face! By day I'm a carer for clients with disabilities, on the side I freelance my makeup services (ladies; wink wink... I come with lots of makeup) and at night....i become cat woman. Kidding I sleep very soundly. Preferably looking for a place long term with an ensuite. But I am happy to compromise. I love animals of all kinds and will delight in walking your dog if you have one. Other notables; I'm not a clean freak but am certainly neat and tidy. I listed am available from 1st August onwards but I'm flexible about that. I love antiques and I play guitar and sing. Looking forward to meeting you :)
Hey Everyone! I am Allira originally from Sunny Queensland but came down to Canberra for a government job. I am young turning 21 this year but pretty mature for my age, as I am young I'm still learning as we all are. I am outgoing and fun and always try to see the positive in things. I go to the gym and play sports a lot especially touch and netball. I am a big sports fanatic so I do like to just chill and watch sports, big Rugby League fan and just a cool person in general (well I think haha). If you need personal space I am not an annoying person, I like my personal space too and won't annoy you a lot, the one thing I just don't like is awkwardness. Oh and also I don't mind an alcoholic beverage either. I follow the motto always put things back to where they belong and if it's not yours don't touch it or ask first. I am clean although I do like a specific day to clean because I do have a full time job and I either play sports during the week so I am generally tired throughout the week. As well as all that I also study at the moment. And thats me :)
I'm an Electrician, excited to go travelling in approximately late 2018, and currently looking for a place to live anywhere in Canberra with a/some chilled out Canberran/s, who would enjoy the company of an easygoing me, and my super-awesome fox cross jack-russel terrier, named 'Beans'. If you like dogs, Beans will steal your heart and throw away the key! We'd love to share a place with a secure backyard, so Beans can play during the daytime while I work. It would be great if there are other dogs there to keep Beans company too. Cooking and sharing an occasional or even regular communal dinner is great fun - pasta is my specialty! BBQ'ing, or cooking/hanging out around the fire is also exciting - I have a little keg I made into a fire drum for doing exactly this. I enjoy company and making friends, so if you have guests visiting, I'm always good with being friendly, and will not be awkward or uninviting towards anyone. Beans will usually bark initially, but only takes a moment to calm down, and will not bite - he is even great with cats! My family and friends are in Canberra, so I will not to be a piece of furniture in the house, and Beans and I will often get out to visit them. Here's some hobbies/values/interests of mine: Camping, freediving/snorkelling and spearfishing, exploring, music (especially live!), PC gaming, quoting movies/Tv shows, real food, board/card games, whisky tasting, equality, indoor cricket, playing instruments, exploring theories and interesting ideas, and enjoying variety. Beans likes playing fetch/tug-of-war/tag, and getting tummy rubs, back scratches and chicken drumsticks. Hi! :)
Young, bubbly professional working in healthcare and statistics. Looking for a place to call home. Originally from Sydney, currently in Bruce. Preference is for a clean place with my own room (not shared), fun and friendly professionals/students that also know when to give personal space. I usually keep myself busy with work, reading or soccer and also like to go out on the weekends to meet with friends/nature.
Hi everyone! My name is Ylva and I'm moving to Canberra for six months, as I will be working as an intern at the Norwegian Embassy. Therefore, I'm on the look out for an place to stay during this periode. I'm looking for a house that is friendly and has a good ambiance. I'm an easy going person who enjoys socialising and hanging out with my flatmates, but I also appreciate quite time and respect others privacy and wishes. I like to live in a tidy apartment and will do my part to keep it that way. I have previously lived in Belgium (worked as a volunteer), France (studied French) and Hong Kong (exchange), so I'm both used to and very much enjoy living with people from all around the world. I love to eat and try new food, and will happily take you on a journey into the Norwegian cuisine. Furthermore, I'm a curious person who enjoys getting to know new people and learning about new cultures. I like to read (when I find a good book) and I also appreciate pilates and the nature, so I'm looking forward to see what the Australian wilderness has to offer. Please message me if you would like to get in contact. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Im a 23 year old non-smoker; I'm moving down to Canberra from Sydney for a job and I am looking for a fun and relaxed share house to move into. I've lived in share houses before and love it; I have always ended up great friends with the people i lived with. I'm friendly and easy going and enjoy being social, love having a drink or two with housemates and friends. But am also respectful of peoples space and always clean up after myself. I finished my degree last year in Political Science and Economics and now am attempting to learn arabic just for fun. I dont have any pets but I love animals so I'm happy to live with them.
I'm moving from Perth to Canberra for a 6 month employment contract in the Public Service Sector. I'm looking for a nice furnished room, preferably with my own bathroom and for somewhere close to public transport/ a grocery store because I won't have a car for a while. I'm a really easy going person, love a good laugh and a glass of wine. I enjoy meeting new people and hanging out, but I also respect personal space and down time. I try to stay fit, but Nutella always gets the best of me so if you're keen on binge eating and then guilt jogging hit me up.
Hello! I'm a 26 year old young professional making my way in the big capital! I'm moving out of my current sharehouse in early September as I'm looking to move northside and I'm on the hunt for my next one. A bit about me- I'm originally from Perth, studied journalism and then did my Masters in International Relations and moved to Canberra at the end of 2015 to work at an Embassy. I'm now working in media at Department of Ag, and will be moving into Defence in the next few months. I'll be at work during the day, gym most evenings (when I'm on a good roll!) and I'm usually out and about on the weekends. Being fairly new to Canberra, I'm really keen to find a sharehouse where housemates are more like friends, but I also love my own space. I'm super clean and respectful of communal areas. I love cooking and gardening, having a chat and movie nights/glass of wine with my housemates and generally making a house a home. In my spare time I've been embracing the national parks around Canberra and doing heaps of hiking and exploring. Love checking out new bars, markets, live music etc as well! I also have two little cats called Cookie & Nala who are very chilled, completely kitty litter trained, and will 99% be in my room- they're really friendly! I'm flexible with the move out date for the right place. Hope to hear from you soon!
