I'm currently studying IR at ANU and am looking into moving off-campus into a two bedroom flat at the start of next year. I work at McDonald's Manuka (not glamorous, but it pays rent) and between that and studying I love to just chill out and read or watch Netflix. I'm fairly quiet and not the most social person, so the chances of me ever having more than one person over at a time is slim to none, but I love a good yarn and watching TV or playing board games (though I'm not very good). I'm very tidy and will always keep up my end of the cleaning deal. My budget is $200 a week (but less would be even better). Feel free to shoot me a message or text if you'd like to get to know me more before making the plunge! I'd prefer living with a friend anyway so we should get to know each other! :)
Government veterinary moving down to Canberra for a temporary transfer for 6 months with working for the RSPCA starting in June. Easy going, tidy and social. Love a cheeky wine but mainly just love chilling at home or getting out for a hike. I have an adorable long haired cat named Casper that I'm hoping to bring with me, he is very lazy but loves attention.
My name is Thomas, I am 38 years old, single, without children, nurse, and French. I'll be living in Canberra until July for a full-time english courses, at the CIT. Because I arrived in Australia one month ago my "english" is still at an intermediate level but I'll be improving pretty quickly. I am very easy-going and flexible to adapt to your way of living. I am looking for a flatmate in the area around Kingston. I'd be happy to meet you and introduce myself a bit more. Thanks
Hi! I'm a 21 year old working professional. I currently work full time in Barton and I'm looking for a house share, can be mixed gender, for sometime in early June. I'm flexible on location but preferrably no more than 12-20minutes from Barton. I have no pets either.
Hey there, I'm Sami! I have recently moved back back to Canberra after living in Melbourne for two years. Despite having just moved back I've decided I'm well overdue for some soul-searching travel so I am looking for a short-ish term rental (somewhere between 3 and 6 months but potentially longer - if you're looking for at least 6 months and I agree to this, I will of course stick to that!) while I save up and practice my Spanish before heading over to Latin America. I work in hospitality in the CBD/Braddon area so am looking for a house that isn't too far from there so that I can cycle as much as possible! I'm a big fan of plants so more than happy to help your indoor or outdoor garden thrive while I'm in your home! I am also very passionate about environmental sustainability and was about to go into my second year studying this at ANU before deferring so that I can travel! I'm great to live with because I am super accommodating! Ideally I'd love to be part of a more social house with a bit of a community feel but I'm also totally happy to be in a more quiet and reserved home too. I am tidy, respectful, always promptly clean up after myself, a non-smoker and always pay rent and bills on time. Please chuck me a message if you have any questions!
I am a positive, happy, chill and funny guy from Stockholm, Sweden. Currently I'm studying Master of Laws at Stockholm University and this fall I'm heading to Canberra for my exchange semester. Besides my studies I've been acting and modeling a bit, and also working as a trainee at a law firm. I like being creative. I like to hang out with friends, meet new people, go for walks, barbecuing, museums, movie night and basically doing all those things that makes life a bit better. I hope to find like-minded people who would like to share a flat or a house with me. Make new friendships, helping each other and just hang out a lot, at the same time respect is shown for the others privacy etc.
Hi! I am a 24yo male working full-time as a corporate management consultant. I am social, clean (maybe a bit overly hygienic). Looking for long-term stay, my own bathroom, preferably a garage space. Would like to discuss if pets can be an option for the future :) I am looking to get a doggo.
I'm moving down to Canberra from Sydney in early May to start work as a government lawyer. I have normal hobbies, usually up early during the week to go to the gym. I'm very easy going and sociable but usually have busy weeks so like to relax after work. Don't mind a drink on the weekends, and like to get outdoors when I can! Have lived in share houses for the last 6 years, so know how to share, respect people's space and generally live hassle free. Feel free to message if you want to know more

I'm returning to my full-time job in the APS after spending a year studying overseas. I’m looking for a furnished property close to Barton that I can share with one or two other housemates. A bit about me. I’m a tidy person who likes to share the occasional meal or watch TV with company but I’m also considerate of other people’s need for privacy. In my downtime, I'll be running around the lake, gaming, catching up with friends, or taking classes in the city.
Public servant in her early 30s looking for a room to rent in a friendly, clean and tidy household somewhere not far from Barton. I will often be travelling interstate on weekends. Happy to take over a lease if need be.
Hi all! My name’s Adam. I’m a 28 year old lawyer from Perth. I’m coming over to Canberra in July for a one year stint and am looking for a share house to live in. I’m not too fussed on how many people I share with - I have lived in share houses since 2014 (and still do) of as few as 3 and as many as 6 people. I am clean, love fixing things up (especially gardens) and am as social or private as the vibe requires.
Hi! I am from Brisbane/Gold Coast, 29 years old, working full time for the Government (surprise!). I like to keep fit and active - getting outdoors, sports, gym etc! Also love good coffee, food and a glass of wine. Like to chat and be social but also need down time, so looking for a balanced place to come home to. I am very clean but easy going.. have lived in shared places for years - respectful, understanding, reliable, share the housework etc. :) Looking for a friendly environment to relax in sharing with similar young professional/s.
Hi I'm Claire. I am late twenties and moved up to Canberra a year and half ago for work. I am pretty neat but not OCD and in my spare time, I like to hang out with friends, keep active and occasional netflix binges - don't hesistate to message me if this sounds like your kind of housemate
I am moving to Canberra from Sydney to work in the APS. I am pretty active, gym, enjoy all sports, watching movies, reading and always keen for a nice meal. I am a very relaxed and easy-going person, who is tidy and likes to keep things neat and organised. Happy to chat, socialise and hang out but also respect my housemates need for space and privacy.
I am working as an APS at the Department of Finance. I love nature, watching artistic films and want to get back into reading. I am looking for walking distance to Forrest or a maximum of 20 minute drive to Forrest. I am very flexible and do not require a personal bathroom. Additionally, I am a neat and tidy person.
Moved to Canberra in 2017 for APS job, and looking for new place after returning in April from six months in Timor-Leste. Easygoing housemate who is happy to be social but also appreciates when everyone needs their space. Neat and tidy. Big reader, occasional runner.. have recently discovered love of diving just before moving back to an inland city.
French Student, I'll be studying third year of Biology. I love going out, walking, trekking, appreciating nature. I basically spend 80% of my day outside enjoying the world!
Hi - I'm Sarah! I'm a Kiwi who is moving to Canberra to commence a PhD at ANU. I've spent the last few years working and studying around the world, living in Canada and the UK. I'm currently hiking the length of NZ so might not be the fastest at responding to messages, but I'm looking for a wonderful spot to call home when I arrive in Canberra at the end of March. I like to think I'm pretty chill to live with, love being active and outdoors and can be a bit of a science geek. I love the odd tasty beer but don't party much these days (does a pot luck count as a party?!) and am hoping to find similar people to live with.
I'm a Yoga teacher, dancer, photographer, nature-lover. I'm very tidy, thoughtful and responsible. I am independent with a full life, but I also enjoy the buzz and colour of communal living with good-hearted and gentle people. I like to live in places with beautiful light and near to nature.
Hey! I work in realestate, I’m a seamstress on the side. I love fashion and design! I enjoyed doing improv acting and considering to do it again! I’m a fun creative person! Also looking to make new friends that are interesting and doesn’t take themselves to seriously! As a person I am pretty respectful of peoples lives and their spaces and things. I’m a tidy person and enjoy cooking up a meal for people :) Im understanding and a great listener! I have a little shitzu poodle and seeing whether I could bring him with me! If not it’s okay! He is also happy with my parents. That’s me in a nutshell!
I am currently living in Sydney but will be moving to Canberra at the end of April to take up a position in the public sector for 12 months. I am an easy going flatmate. I am active and like to keep fit. I enjoy hanging out with flatmates but also respect their independence.
Hi, I'm Mark. I will be moving to Canberra at the end of April from NZ. I was born and raised in Sydney and also lived in Melbourne, so it's a bit of a move home. I'll be working full time in sports (football) which will no doubt keep me busy during the week and on weekends. I'm pretty easy-going friendly type and consider myself pretty low maintenance. I try to keep active as much as possible although not as often as I'd like. I'm quite well domesticated and willing to do my bit when necessary. I have a family who will be staying in NZ and I will be travelling back periodically, usually during school holidays. I'll be working in the Deakin area, so places nearby would be ideal, but more important is finding the right place and people. So I'm flexible and open to offers. As I'm not bringing any furniture, furnished is preferred but again I'm flexible and will manage accordingly. I arrive in Canberra on 29 April and it would be perfect to have something organised by then. Any questions, please feel free to ask.
Hi! This is my third year in Canberra. I'm 27, working full-time, i enjoy going to the gym, coffee with friends, hikes on weekends, having people over for dinner and a wine night! I like living in a clean and tidy house but i'm not OCD. I would be happy making dinner with a roomate and their friends. I'm looking to move in on the last weekend of April. If you're interested, please get in touch.
Hi all! I'm a PhD Candidate at the ANU originally from Melbourne, but have been in Canberra for >6 years. I've been interstate for a few months for work, and I'm looking for a place before I move back in to my permanent place on July 10. I am an easy going but clean housemate who works relatively long hours during the week but love relaxing on weekends. I'm definitely happy to be as social as you'd like - happy to have chats and cook together but am also okay if you'd prefer your own space. I'm pretty flexible with move in and check out dates. Let me know if you have any questions and am looking forward to meeting you! :)
Full time worker in the fitness industry and pre-service Science and Maths teacher. I usually keep relatively busy and don't tend to spend much time at home. My job takes me away interstate or overseas every second week. Love to socialise, but would never shy away from a meal or occasional glass of wine at home.
I’m easy to live with. Great for a laugh and considerate of other people’s needs and feelings. I work 6 days a week and interstate nearly every weekend, self employed for 6 years organising events and juggling calendars. I won’t touch, use or eat your stuff and I would like the same in return, I’m proactive with the house needs like cleaning, gardening I enjoy and also supplies such as toilet paper and dishwashing liquid etc. I don’t watch much tv, I won’t get in your way, I also professionally house sit so I’m not always around but keen to have that stable base to keep my belongings at, I’d be wanting someone willing to take the weekly rent but fair with not charging me for utilities if I hadn’t been there for a few weeks. I’m an animal lover but currently have no pets Great with kids but none of my own just yet Wanting someone easy to get along with, good sense of humour, respectful of space and privacy, and clean and considerate too. :)
Moved to Canberra this year for work as a high school teacher. Often I leave early and am home late. I have lived in shared housing for the most part of 8 years so I'm neat, tidy, clean and value respect of shared space. I enjoy quiet and personal time but also like catching up with housemates in conversation and some social time over a meal, coffee or wine on occasion. My interests include podcasts, the arts, yoga, walks, dance and netball. Often I enjoy going out for good food and wine, or live music and theatre, as well as exploring the city I live in. Non-smoker. Have a car so prefer off-street parking. Pool or proximity to water a plus. 12 month minimum stay, option to extend a bonus. MUST have a window in bedroom (I’ve seen a lot of new apartments without one).
Hi there, I'm Jason, currently living in Sydney,NSW. I have been offered a fixed term contract to work as a Finance Professional (Accountant) with a Federal Government Department. Ideally I'd like to secure a place by 1st May so that I may be able to commence my role immediately in Canberra, ACT. I'm a very neat and tidy person and respect the privacy of those whom I stay with regards to cleanliness, respect and keeping noise to a minimum. I am however very social and would welcome the opportunity to have a conversation and participate in sporting and non-sporting activities as hobbies sometimes or just chill with drinks. Did I mention that I'm a good cook and am willing to share some of my delicious food! :) ;) . Only one way to find out. Haha!
Hi I'm Stuart, 28 professional (non-government). I'd say I'm considerate and pretty easy to get along with. I'm clean and like to chef, good with animals, and pretty open and respectful. Will chat for hours if it's not just small talk. After work I usually like to watch a movie or play console games, on weekends I'm generally doing something. I chose Aranda, Cook, Macquarie and O'Connor from the list, but I'd be happy with elsewhere if it's a good place and not too far from central Canberra (e.g. Griffith, Turner, Curtin, Forrest, etc). Happy to chat - send me a message!
I'm studying linguistics at ANU, I'm a musician and I love listening to music. I'm quiet but love a chat, drink a lot of tea and love a good book. I've lived in 2 sharehouses so far and have loved it, I'm very easy to live with.
Hello! My name is Zina. Ideally, I'm looking to share a place with one other roommate or two if I can have my own ensuite. I am clean and tidy and respect other peoples belongings and space, but also sociable and friendly. I'm looking to share a place with people who share my values in maintaining a tidy environment and who are conscious of not making loud noise at night (for example, throwing parties all the time or playing loud music).
I am a clean and respectful person who is currently working full time in the city. I am up for conversation with my roommates but also can respect personal space.
Hey! I've just come back from a working holiday in Queensland and looking to settle in Canberra for a while :) I am a very friendly person and respect others space. I am also keen on dinner and wine nights and the occassional adventure.
I graduated high school last year and I’m looking to move out of my parents home and into Canberra. I enjoy reading, cooking, aikido (martial art), and going on road trips. I’m a bit goofy and up for a good banter every now and then. Currently, I have been offered a full-time position starting within the next few months, but until then I am working casually.
A new Canberra transplant. I've moved down from Sydney recently for a new FT job and a tree change. I'm super chilled, get along well with almost everyone. I intend to spend plenty of time outdoors - even in winter. Happy to share a drink, a meal and a tale but respect the importance of privacy.
