I'm moving to Melbourne to start university next year at VCA in Southbank, and am looking for any nice and affordable place to live. I'm somewhat introverted and quiet but easygoing and up for socialising, and I'm easy to get along with. I am a photographer and love art, music, films, games, and pretty much anything creative. I'm also vegan and an animal lover, and great with pets.
Hi, I'm Nana I'm from Japan n 21 years old. I've been here for 8 months on Working Holiday. I'm friendly tidy n responsibility. I like to play sports, go out, go to the beach n talk with people. I would like to get along with flatmates.
I am quiet, clean, and keep to myself for the most part. My hobbies include reading, gaming, journaling, and going for runs/walks. I am an open-minded, accepting person and I am looking for a flat-mate/s with those same qualities as well :) I currently live in Adelaide and I hope to move to Melbourne by the end of January to prepare for university at RMIT, where I will be studying Legal and Dispute Studies. I will also be getting a job fairly quickly after I move, I will be on student allowance however so paying rent will not be a problem.
I am a yuppie, live and work within Melbourne CBD. I think the qualities that make me great to live with anyone are so many that they cannot even fit in this space... really? I think my past and current flat mates can tell you for sure that I am considerate, respectful and easygoing. You would find me caring and willing to help whenever it is required. I know the house rules well since I have been living in shared houses for almost 4 years. Currently, I am based on the corner of Flinder/Spencer Street and looking for a good location within CBD, preferably for 6 month. I already own all the necessities including white goods, appliances, crockery, furniture etc. so would prefer an unfurnished place that I could share with someone. Feel free to whisper or shout if you want to know more or just want to say HELLO :) Enough about me.... it is your turn now! Ball is in your court... hope to talk with my future flatmate soon. Cheers, Yasir
Hey everyone! I'm studying law at Monash in Clayton, and also work part-time. I've got 4 years of rental experience, and have never missed a payment, and have never had any dramas at each of the places I've lived. I'm sometimes pretty busy, but I'm always friendly, clean and chill, and am looking for a decently social or friendly place. Major hobbies are language learning (Italian, Japanese and Malayalam) and travelling (I try and do a day trip whenever I can). Would prefer something between my uni in Clayton and the city, or maybe in the city.
Hi guys! Manami is from Japan and I am originally from France. We used to live in Tokyo and work there as a financial accountant (her) and a public high school teacher (me) but we decided to take a break away from Japan and to move to Melbourne to live and work there for about a year. We are very clean, tidy, always eager to help if you need anything and we are a very friendly and sociable couple. We have no problem living in our own space and doing our own things but we are always more than happy to spend some time chatting, sharing beers or a bottle of wine or going out for dinner. We love to cook (especially French and Japanese food), watch TV shows (if you're looking for people to watch the next season of Game of Thrones with, you just found them!), go out to try new restaurants, bike around the city or just relax. If possible, we would like to leave in a central area of Melbourne so we can ride our bicycles anywhere from there. Our ideal budget would be 300 AUD but if your place is really nice and well located, we are ready to go up to 370 AUD (bills/internet included). We would like to move in this month but we are flexible with dates. If you would like us to be your new roommates or if you have any question, please feel free to contact us. Cheers! Manami and Vince
Hi! My name is Patricia, I am an 18 year old currently looking for a place to live close to the city. I work in Melbourne Central, and am hoping to go to Melbourne University to study a Bachelor of Arts in 2017. I'm artistic; I like to sing, write, paint and am currently learning to play the guitar. I'm organised and put together, but I'm also just really easy going. I spend most of my time at my part-time job, doing some volunteer work, and will be out of the house a fair bit. I'm really easy to make friends with, up for a good movie night/party/drinks/whatever from time to time. Personally not a smoker, but don't mind living with people who are.
my name is Dalia I am a humanitarian aid worker I was in Australia already to do a permaculture course, which is sustainable farming and an eco-friendly way if living from August to October 2016 .This time I am coming back to do a Masters of Social Work at the RMIT. My mother is German, dad Egyptian and I speak three languages. Personally, I would say about me that am a very sociable person, I like to interact with people, but also like to spend time alone and respect the privacy of flatmates very much.I like to cook and keeping a place clean is very important to me.I like nice, long walks. I like to party from time to time but not every night...too old for that :)..i like nice interesting talks and meeting new people...could always stay up late for a good midnight talk...but other than that don't stay up too late.
**Just wanted to point out before anyone msgs me I'm not looking to share a room with someone** I'm originally from Byron Bay but have called Melbourne my home for almost 3 years now. I'm searching for a tidy and quiet-ish share house with people in their early-mid 20's, flexible with the move in date slightly - could wait until early/mid Jan - really just looking for the right place. I am working part time at ANZ head office, as well as studying International relations at Deakin, Burwood, which keeps me pretty busy. Aside from all the usual stuff, like can pay rent and bills on time, housetrained, clean and respectful... I like to get to the beach the rare times the weather is just right, adventure to unknown places, attempt to care for my few plants, yoga, embarrassingly spend way too much time wondering the homeware isles of kmart and love a BYO dinner with friends. Also I'm the girl on the left. Thanks x
Hello! My name is Natalia, I am Fashion Designer and Publicist, I am 26 years old and I am from Colombia, I came to Melbourne to study English and work. I am looking for a place to live since january. I want to live with nice and friendly people.
Hi my name is Kurt, I work in a call centre in central Melbourne full time, and generally work a 9-5 or 11-7 shift. I'm a person who is always doing something, i love being around my friends, going out for coffees but sometimes i like my own personal time. I'm a very open, non judgemental, clean, organised, professional and a person who mixes well with everyone. If i sound like a person who would fit, send me a message.
I am a PhD student who would love to have a clean, organised and quite place to study. Don't watch much TV but don't mind having movie nights, also enjoy a glass of wine and a nice dinner once in a while. I like socializing but at the same time, need my privacy and time alone. Love brunching on weekends. I'm into healthy lifestyle and would like to live with people who have the similar mindset! Just recently started meditation and very new to it. I prefer no dogs in the house. :)
Hi, I'll be doing the JD at Melbourne uni and I'm after a place that's close to the campus. I'm pretty chilled out and I believe I can be pretty easy to live with. I've lived at college for two years so I really don't mind if you want to have a party every now and then. I'm always up for a few bevs and some good food. Feel free to send me a message if you'd like to have me as a housemate :)
I'm a 19 year old student from a country town just outside of Canberra. I'm moving to Melbourne early next year to study and work part time which means I will be kept fairly busy. I'm looking for someone of similar age to share a trendy, high rise apartment in the CBD (I've been doing some research and have found some nice places already - however open to suggestion). I love to cook, workout, binge watch Criminal Minds and just chill with friends.
Hi there, I´m a 25 year old girl from Sweden who is looking for an accommodation from now until the end of February 2017. I have moved down temporarly to Melbourne for work and will go back to the Sunshine Coast when uni starts. I am used to sharing and as a person I´m friendly and very respectful to others and the house I´m living in. Please note that I´m only looking for an accommodation where there is a LUG or undercover parking space available. If you have something you think might fit, then I would be really glad to hear from you :) Cheers
Hi guys, I'm Mikala! I'm Looking for a place to stay here in Melbourne. Send me a message if you Think you have anything that Would be in my interest! X
I'm a uni student going into my 2nd year at the Victorian College of the Arts. I study Stage Management and I love going to see shows in my spare time. I work long hours at uni, and I'm a fairly independent person so I'll be an unobtrusive flatmate but I enjoy socialising in my downtime.
Hello! I am a nursing student and usually work in health/cosmetic medicine or temp in offices (until degree is finished). I need a house with a yard with grass. I am making the move from Syd where I have held a lease for years and had my mix of good and bad flatmates. I don't really want the hassle of managing a house and flatmates on my own anymore. I have a house full of cool antique and vintage furniture in storage which can come with me or stay there. I am a good person to live with. I take quick showers, bathroom is tidy after I use it. If I cook I wash and dry same night, wipe down and no food in sink! I empty bins, tidy as I go etc. I keep to myself but can be chatty if you feel like it. I have a very good sense of humour. I come with two quiet dogs. I don't have people over or make noise. All my flatmates have loved my dogs. They would need a corner in a living room for their day beds or a really large bedroom so they could have beds in there. Believe me they sleep a lot. One is a greyhound and one is a mix. No barking, very good in the house. May raid bins if given access, so they have to be supervised if kitchen is open or bins on floor. Never any accidents in house. They don't smell doggy as regularly cleaned. A covered area in back yard or access to a garage would be needed for when I am at work so they can be dry and warm. I am extremely responsible and hard working so all bills and rent are paid on time every time and my dogs have the best of care and no responsibility is on anyone else in house to care for them. I have lived with 19 year olds up to mid 50's. I do Taekwondo and weights. My two best friends live in Yarraville. I love being busy and in my downtime I watch good drama or home Reno shows :) I like to eat out as well. I have been known to down G&T's or champagne and come home drunk once in a while after dancing all night, but that is rare these days, I lean to the left in my politics and would probably like a house that recycles etc..
I'm a mature 20 yrs old recent uni grad. Moving to Melbourne for some career opportunities. I have job where I would work 30-40 hours per week ranging over all 7 days. I intend to play sport most evenings so I'll hardly be home! I am quite, respectful and career orientated person. I will always pay rent in full and in advance! Im a non smoker, non drinker, non partier. If your place has off street parking and furnished would be a massive bonus! I'm flexible about move in date, ideally early to mid Jan would suit me best. I'm also flexible about the suburbs and would prefer an all female household. Please contact me if your interested :)
I grew up living in rural Victoria, currently at boarding school in Ballarat. Wanting to move to Melbourne for 6-7 months before my Uni course in Adelaide starts in July 2017. Living in a boarding house has allowed me to grow respect for other's belongings, space and needs, so I feel I would be a valuable asset in a prospective share house. I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, hockey, netball and swimming.
Hello. :) I'm Tanvi, am 22 year-old student completing a Masters of Counselling course from Monash University. I'm looking for a place (not a shared room; I'm looking for an own furnished room, preferably with an ensuite bathroom) that's preferably somewhere in between uni and the city, and hoping to stay for a minimum of 4 months, starting end of December. I'm friendly, fairly easy-going and absolutely love to travel. Although I generally love to socialise, I also appreciate some time to myself occasionally. I intend to keep the apartment very neat and tidy, and would like to team up with someone similar in that respect. I enjoy reading, dancing (I do some Latin :)), and cooking (I tend to eat healthy as often as possible, but indulge from time to time). I'm also a big fan of good conversations, about almost anything, and am therefore looking not only for house-mates but for potential friends. :) Lastly, I'm a huge dog-lover, and although I don't have any, I'd love to share an apartment with someone who does! Feel feel to send me a message if you know of anything that's suitable. Cheers!
Just moved to melbourne from sydney. I'm a social, fun, easy going and very laid back guy. i like to go out and have a few casual drinks and try out new food and travel to new places. i play rugby union during the winter and cricket in summer. after work i just like to relax and watch tv shows or movies. I love live music so if there is a good gig on somewhere i'll most likely be there.
Hey! I'm a 27 yr old English girl over on a working holiday visa, I love to cook and enjoy doing this with friends. I'm social and laid back, always like to keep myself busy but enjoy relaxing also on the sofa with a glass of wine! Im pretty good at keeping a house clean and tidy too!
Im 28, working and studying fulltime. Ive lived in several sharehouses. Im clean and respectful. I work mostly weekends or nights. Not much of a party-goer but dont mind a little social catch up.
Hi - I'm Glenn. I have a long history working in the helping type fields such as nursing and psychology with multiple undergraduate and post graduate degrees. I am very caring, empathic, considerate and have always been compassionate towards others, regardless of who they are or where they've been. I guess humility, acceptance and openness are some of my key values/traits and although my path is not the same as others, I love to hear about other people's past experiences and their hopes and visions for the future. More recently, I have been focusing on my music composing and looking at how I can use my skills to generate an additional income whilst doing something that I have always loved. Initially, I have created alliances with video game developers to provide background music, but I have always wanted the music I write to be more uplifting than to purely motivate people to slay the purple dragon and find the blessed magic brussel sprout (Clearly with that description, I don't play video games - but hey... that is a great idea for a game yeah??) I'm currently liaising with wedding planners and wedding celebrants to provide personalized music that couples can use as part of their wedding day. Songs that not only express how they feel about each other but promote this love and excitement in others. But, the desire to make people feel special goes much deeper than this. Last year, a friend was suicidal and in a very bad way. She had several admissions to hospital, and some very intense treatment. It was heartbreaking that she was unable to see just how beautiful and special she is and just how much she is love by those around her. I wrote her a song titled "We love you" which tried to remind her of that fact. (You are welcome to listen to it). So, I feel passionate about reminding people when they just cant see it - through music - just how important they really are - I hope I can do that more. I'd love to set up some kind of not for profit organisation where I can write individual, personalized music for people purely to help remind them that they are important. I'm leaning towards the name 'Every Note' because when it comes to music, each note works together to create an overall piece of musical truth and beauty. I think that is just as applicable to people. Every person is inherently important and an integral part of the world. Plus, I think music in its various forms, is so influential on people individually, yet at the same time joins our collective souls. I also LOVE animals - and I have two adorable cats. You don't have to love them - but I could never live with a cat hater. I am their carer, protector, food giver (most importantly) - and they rely on me. Having them is a gift and I don't take that lightly. I need somewhere that they would feel comfortable. I also enjoy doing woodwork as a hobby - although I'm pretty bloody useless at it - but it doesn't seem to have lessened my enthusiasm for some reason. Not sure why that is. I pretty much get on with anyone and seem to be able to find something to talk about. I make a point of making people feel comfortable and welcome without being over the top. I'm probably more mature now and settled and stuff and enjoy more quieter times - but I still tend to get excited over someone saying "Hey.... why don't we....." which usually results in a "*#@^ yeah! That is brilliant" I'm very respectful, considerate, empathic and compassionate, and a great listener. But, I'm also sensitive to other people's needs and respect my own and others personal space. Oh and I also make a point of trying to do volunteer work where I can - that has previously included cleaning out, washing dog yards at the RSPCA, being a welcomer/cuppa person for people attending the Salvation Army who are experiencing difficult times, to try and make them feel at ease, Hon secretary for community support group and I am currently volunteering as Treasurer for a not for profit, community support group. As a bonus I also come with an unlimited supply of lame jokes and am the person to have on your trivia team if the subject "Hits of the 80's"ever comes up. Probably crapped on enough. Cheers Glenn
We just arrived Melbourne. 27 old engineers. Now, no work as engineer but hope to find soon. We r social, talkative persons and from Turkey. We can hang out together some nights out side.
I am a very easy going person who loves to socialise. I'm from Salisbury in England and 20 yrs old. I like going out but prefer being somewhere a bit more chilled with a pint of beer. I'm currently working in hospitality however I won't have a job as soon as I move to Melbourne but currently still have a enough saved for a couple months rent. Would be fab to live with people who enjoy socialising together maybe even doing little trips together and making dinner together is always fun!
My name is Sol, I'm 26 years old and work hospo. I work a lot, and go out a fair bit but I would love to find a home where I can spend time with my flatmates cooking, drinking of binging a show on Netflix. I'm pretty laid back and easy to get along with. Age is only a number but I would like to live with mature people that can take care of themselves and the house. A part from that, I'll be happy with anyone. I'm pretty tidy, clean and quiet. I've been living in Melbourne since 2012 and intend to stay, I'm after a long term accommodation and would rather not changing flatmate every month. I'm not really good at describing myself but message me if you want to know more.
I am a neat and tidy person who respects others need for space but I am always up for a chat over a bottle of wine with some homemade bruschetta or pate and I make a mean spag bol, if I say so myself. I am a bit of a geek so will always have access to the latest shows and movies. As such I can contribute a 65" Sony 4K UHD TV, Sonos soundbar & subwoofer, Sonos Play 5, Roku 3, Apple TV v3, PS4, XBOX One and a WD Media Server. I don't watch much free to air TV as I love watching shows like Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Suits, Breaking Bad and Outlander. I have travelled to a lot of European countries and can share some travel tips if you are considering travelling to Europe. I enjoy art and photography and I have rediscovered my love for exercise so if you need a walking companion I am always up for a walk or a bike ride although I am not much of a gym goer. I have an eclectic taste in music from good old 60's (think Tour of Duty) to Karen Souza, who I hear you ask well go check her out. Other Music/Artists I love include Rock Alternate Birdy Florence + The Machine London Grammar John Newman Tom Odell Damian Rice Stereophonics Rival Sons Paul Weller The Cure I am currently between contracts, I work as either a Business Analyst, System Analyst or Test Analyst depending on the role within the financial services sector, however, finances aren't a problem with regards to rent and utilities etc for the next 6 to 12 months so no need to worry about that. I would like to pick up my next contract prior to Christmas as I am sick of seeing my bank account reducing rather than increasing. Other things I can contribute to the house are a Nespresso machine, air fryer, 3 seater plus 2 armchairs and coffee table outdoor setting as pictured here http://www.superamart.com.au/outdoor/ranges/vivian/vivian-51181/
We're group of 3 peoples from indonesia (indo-chinese) are very easy-going to be with, we would love to do any activities together and very sociable as well as fun! we think that it would be great if we could expand our social circle in australia especially new friends from any culture and nationality and even sharing about jobs opportunities! oh and one most important thing is the person we are looking for is the person with manner and good attitude. finally, hope to meet you soon future-flatmate-to-be! :)
26 year old Malaysian girl looking for a comfortable and convenient unit to stay in. Will be studying in Hawthorn but prefers to stay in the city. I am an easy-going person, not OCD but I do take responsibilities of my household. When I'm at home, I do respect people's privacy and lifestyle. We are both graduated and up for an new adventure in our lives, starting in Australia. That's why we are looking for a nice place to stay in for 4 months, starting February 4. Hello, I am a Malaysian seeking for accommodation that fits for two. Myself and my brother will be moving to Australia on the 14th January. I love cooking and baking and exploring nature. My brother will be studying in RMIT City Campus and I'll be working and studying part-time. Thanks
I'm moving to Melbourne mid-December and looking for a permanent place (at least 6 months) starting latest by January 11th. Just a bit about myself - I'm 26, grew up in Bangkok, and have lived in Singapore for the past 8 years. I'm completely new to Melbourne and will be moving there with a full-time job in market research. I enjoy spending down time at home watching shows on Netflix, doing some light cooking, and generally hanging around. I'm definitely a clean/tidy person and respect others' privacy when needed. I don't throw parties at home either as I prefer it to be place to relax :) I'm looking for a likeminded housemate who I can get along with as friends and of course, even better if you would like to explore new places in and around Melbourne with me! x
Hi My name is Erika, I'm 24 years Old I'm friendly, easy going, good listener, I love cooking , I love the sports. I'm looking A partner for live in a bedroom or a team for live in a house or apartment. Please contact me :)
Hi beautiful people. My name is Nick and I am a Kiwi who moved over in August from Auckland, NZ. I am a Digital Marketer by trade, working in the city. Who enjoys coffee, keeping active, gaming, performing and exploring... I made the jump over the ditch with my significant life partner. His name is Dip, a friendly, 8 year old house-trained tabby cat. Currently looking for a room in the wider central Melbourne area until at least late April 2017. My flatmate is unfortunately moving to Sydney in January for work so we need to part ways. Somewhere potentially around Richmond or South Yarra would be amazing. If you don't mind hairy cat children, and hilarious homosexuals, we will most likely be the best of friends! I would love the opportunity to dazzle you with my wit, charisma and general sass. Hopefully I am everything you are missing in your home life, let me fill that void. :) I'm pretty social, usually out and about. Have a boyfriend who would likely stay a couple days a week and I'll also be out at his place as well. Drop me a line and let's become best friends! Kay? Yes? Good? Awesome!
Hello, Jess here (from the US)! I will be in Melbourne for 2 months while Cirque du Soleil is in town. I am pretty laid back, clean and tidy, and as I work evenings and weekends, most of the time it'll be like no one is around. I am also finishing up a master's degree, so I'll mostly be typing quietly my life away any time I am home. If you have a place or want to share, please reach out! Thanks!
Hello everyone. My name is Rene and my girlfriend is Lauren. We have just arrived from Brighton in England. We have lived in Melbourne before returning to the UK in May. Now it got cold back in Europe and we thought we would come back and escape for the nice weather here in Melbourne. Lauren is a singer and I am a musician and play guitar and a couple other instruments. We are both very laid back and easy going and like to keep tidy and clean. Even though we are play music we are very quiet when living in a shared house. We understand it is a social thing to play music but when living in a shared house it is better to respect the whole house and those living in it. So we tend to take our music out the house and into venues instead :) Anyway we are looking for a place as soon as possible and would be happy to arrange some viewings soon as possible. We are looking for anywhere near and in and around Melbourne. Hope to hear and be in contact with some nice Melburnians All the best Rene and Lauren
I am moving to Melbourne from Adelaide for university. I love sport particularly Aussie Rules. I like to play my PS4 and watch many different TV series. I can be a great guy to joke around with but also like to keep my own space.
I'm taking 3D Animation Major as my study and I have been working on some VFX as a Junior VFX Artist in an animation studio in Bali. I will be moving to Melbourne around end of January. I might be often in front of my laptop doing my assignments and working on some freelance jobs. I do also play guitar, maybe we can make a duet and sing together. I'm not a good cook but I love cooking! I am so easy going anyway. I'd love to go on adventures and I'd love to hang out. I love drinking coffee. I'm so open-minded so don't worry :)
HI! I'm leaving in Melbourne and I work in hospitality. My sweet boyfriend is coming to visit me for a month and we are looking a nice room to rent from the end of December to the 3rd of February 2017. We are coming from Rome and we do videos for commercials and cinema. We are nice and clean people! we like to socialize and we respect the privacy of all the flatmates :)
I have lived all over the world and I've had many great experiences sharing houses. I'm a tidy and considerate person to live with and I understand the un-written rules of house sharing.
Myself and my friend are coming to Melbourne on Jan 14. We both have completed engineering. We both are looking rooms at an affordable amount. We both are jovial and adaptable to any situation.

Clean, neat and independent. A lover of food, films, travel and having fun. Hoping to live with similar-aged people who enjoy dinner, wine, movies, chatting, travelling and all those good things. Although I am very sociable but I totally respect privacy and personal spaces. I also have a part time job, so will be pretty busy with that and studying however, I'm always up for hanging out.
