Hi there :) I'm a 22 year old from Brisbane moving to Canberra for a position in the public service. I'm looking for a room in a share house that is close to public transport - I don't have a car and will need to be able to move easily around Canberra. I also need an unfurnished room, as I am bringing my bedroom furniture from Brisbane. I would love to live in a social share house, but also respect each others' privacy. As I will be working full time, I will be quiet during the week but keen to explore Canberra and meet people on the weekends. In my spare time, I really love to cook (and to share! :D ) and see new places. If you have a room that may be suitable, please let me know! :) I'm looking to move in and start paying rent ASAP.
Hey! Mid-20's female looking for a place in the inner north or south. Easy going, neat, friendly and clean. Love playing sports and always looking for my next micro- adventures. You can usually find me out and about on the weekends and playing in a social comp during the week.
Hi I'm Rithvik! I’m a young professional making the trek up from Melbourne to join the APS, and I’m looking for a share-house to move into by early/mid-February. I’d say I’m easy-going, sociable and always up for a chat/laugh. I believe I’m someone who is considerate of others, neat and more than willing to pull my weight around the house. In my spare time I enjoy seeing live music, watching a bit of Netflix, hanging out with friends, listening to podcasts and keeping active. Looking for a friendly and sociable house.
Hello, I am about to start a full time APS graduate role and looking to relocated to Canberra. I am a quiet but active person. I love music and the arts, as well as having meaningful conversations about current issues around the world. I am very respectful and neat. I also enjoy playing all kinds of sport, or just simply trying to maintain an active life style as well as a quiet night in playing board games! I hope to hear back from you.
Hey! My name is Bec, I am 25 years old and originally from Melbourne. I moved up to Canberra last year for a public service job. I have shared before in Melbourne and I'd love to find another place with a homely feel that is social and friendly, but I also appreciate some down time to myself. I am also clean and tidy. In my free time I like cooking, hiking, reading and hanging out with friends. I'll also be studying this year in addition to full time work so that will keep me busy.
Hi! We are looking for a 3rd housemate to join our A-team in Canberra. To introduce ourselves: India is 21 and moving up from Melbourne l to start med at ANU. I love exploring new places, getting outdoors and being physically active whenever I can get my head out of the books- whether it's a run/hike or just cafe-hopping with a damn good book (assuming there is more than one cafe in Canberra?) I'm interested in philosophy/politics/the environment and often start online courses on this stuff that I never finish. I love playing music, listening to music, almond teas and Annabel Crabb and Leigh Sales' podcast. Lara is 23 and moving up from Adelaide to start a grad job with DFAT so will be working full time. I’m really outdoorsy and a pretty big greenie so will probably be found on weekends hiking or trying unsuccessfully to raise a veggie garden, love chatting about the universe over a glass of vino at the end of the day, am a big traveller and drink ~17 cups of tea a day. We’re looking fairly central, roughly from O’Connor down to Kingston, but will see what we can find! Our budget is up to around $250 each but obviously trying to get a great deal, and we’re looking more at houses than at apartments at this stage just because grass and trees r really nice. We're trying to create a social, laid back household but also understand need for space and privacy!. If you’re still looking for a team-up and this sounds like it would work well with your vibe, let us know! 🙂 India and Lara
Hey all, I’m looking a for a place to live around Canberra. I’m a full time student, will be studying Medical Science at either UC or ANU. I need to move to Canberra either the 27th or the 28th of January. I left school at the end of year 10 to pursue full time work as that was related to my goal at that time. I’ve been out of school for two years now adventuring, experiencing, and learning the real world so I know how to look after myself a whole hell of a lot better than when I was in year 10. I understand and strictly practice budgeting, can and enjoy cooking and I can cook well, and various other neccessary life skills. I completed a University bridging course with a uni online last year and have now set my sights on Canberra. I’m an avid mountain biker and other extreme sports lover, so I would need some space to store a bike. Also love going to the gym (Anytime Fitness). Love music, you will very rarely catch me not listening to music (Led Zeppelin, and disco are a couple of my favourites). I’m a very social, cheery guy (sorry my picture doesn’t show it haha, best I have) from a little country town called Lithgow. Love hanging out with people, I respect others personal space and time. I’m clean, tidy, and organised. I can and I enjoy cooking. I'l happily spend time with people and hangout. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Katie and I are two mature, responsible students focused on our studies and our jobs. We like to spend our free time exercising, reading, watching movies, shows and going out to dinner. We are quiet and busy individuals. I will be completing my honours year in Psychology whilst Katie is completing her 3rd year in psychology during 2018. We both have work histories in customer service as well as health and fitness. We find others easy to get along with and greatly respect their own privacy.
Hi there! I'm Shane, I like beer, TV and Breakfast foods. I work in the city at YWCA as a policy officer and I train at ANU Gym in the mornings. I'm an early riser but I'm well practised at tiptoeing around! I spend my time in and around Braddon with my friends and going on adventures to varying degrees of absurdity. (last week we did a benstpoke photoshoot with bikes in trees) I love cooking for people and own a little webber that gets a workout every summer! I have a queen size bed and some furniture I can take or leave (super not attached to anything) I'm looking for a place where I can ride my bike to and from work/gym and be able to enjoy the company of my flat mates. Fast internet and hot water pressure is also great :P I'm also very clean and tidy! I'm also down to be social but I do sometimes get a little binge with the TV and need to be poked, I'm single and dating so occasionally I may bring someone round. As long as there's no issues there I'm pretty open minded and chill, never found anything that can't be talked through either. Cheers, Shane (Shane-o)
Hi all, I'm originally from Darwin but can now probably be considered a Canberra local. Working full-time and in my last year of part-time study. I follow the cricket and rugby religiously, and am deeply upset when cappucinos come without enough chocolate. Looking for places near civic. Cheers
Hi, I am Nicola! I am a 24yr old, full time working professional. I work Monday - Friday and like to relax after work. I am very clean and tidy, respectable, trustworthy and easy to live with. I enjoy my alone time but also love a good chat, glass of wine/beer and some trashy tv. I am looking to move into a friendly, chilled and respectable home with like-minded people. Ideally, I am looking for an unfurnished room with my own bathroom (this is not essential). I am also open to teaming up with someone to find a new home!
I recently got a full time job in Barton, so I just moved up from Melbourne and I'm looking for somewhere within easy commuting distance. I'm clean and tidy, used to living with pets and I don't smoke. I'm a big fan of live music, watching and playing soccer and reading.
I am looking for a fun and sociable sharehouse, somewhere where I can have a chat and a glass of wine after work. This is the start of my third year in Canberra, and while I am not Canberra's biggest fan, I am wanting to give it a better shot in 2018 and am hoping that living with a good group of people will help with that. I love friends, family, the beach and making things with my hands (whether food, furniture of some very poor attempts at pottery). I work full time, but when I'm around the house I love to cook, watch tv shows, listen to music or just have a chat with whoever is around. I am clean and like to keep the place welcoming to everyone so that any shared spaces are actually used and shared. I have lived out of home for 6 years and have a house worth of cool furniture and all the appliances/crockery/cooking utensils you would ever need (though I can store these if the right house is fully fitted out). I am looking for a group of similarly minded people, who are looking to meet someone new. I also don't mind being the only male in the house.
I am moving from Sydney to take a graduate position in the APS. I am friendly and easy going. I like to engage with people, but also respect privacy. I am neat and tidy, and I am experimenting with cooking. I enjoy the occasional drink, meeting people and I am looking forward to exploring Canberra. I am looking for accommodation on transport routes to the Russell offices.
I’m a part-time student studying politics, philosophy, and economics at ANU. I work at LUSH, T2, and an LGBTQI+ not-for-profit. (So I promise our bathroom will smell nice and you will never be without a morning beverage!) I’m from Melbourne, love going on outdoor adventures, and have a small car called Conchita. During a regular week, I would be out of the house for most of the day (at work or studying) but would be back home in the evenings. I’m extroverted and naturally surround myself with other people, but I also appreciate and respect my own - and more importantly, other peoples - quiet space/time. Some things I really enjoy are cooking, Netflix, wine and cheese, and a good book. I’m a very clean person and can easily fit into an existing schedule. At a minimum, you can always rely on me to clean up my dishes, wipe the bench after I’m done, vacuum once a week, and most importantly…to replace the toilet roll after I take the last square.
I've recently relocated to Canberra from Melbourne for a role in the public service. I'm looking for a decent sized room in an established share house in the city or inner suburbs. I'm very tidy and friendly, and I like to run and cook. I have bedroom furniture in storage, along with a big screen smart TV that may be appropriate for a living room in need of one, and am ready to move in in late Jan or early Feb.
Hey there, I'm a Canadian student coming to Canberra for the fall semester to study at ANU and am looking to find a share house or team up to lease a place. I'm planning on being in the city between February until mid-June, so ideally the lease would be around this timing (but I am flexible with dates). The stereotype about Canadians tend to be true as I am a super easy-going and nice person to live with, testament can be from my old roommates in Canada who I have lived with for over 2 years. I also plan to travel as bunch since I am only in Australia for a given time and there is so much to see, but when I am be home I would either be studying or up to socialize with everyone in the house and do activities (unless people need their privacy at the time which I am very accustomed to respecting). If you have any other questions or think we would be a good match please message me! All the best!
Hi! I'm Maggie, I'm from Sydney and I’m moving to Canberra to do my Masters at ANU. I’m looking for some friendly and social housemates who like to share some dinners. I like cooking, crime dramas and art galleries. :)
40 something public servant returning to Canberra after many years living in Melbourne. Looking for a room (and private bathroom preferably) in a sunny, spacious house/apartment with all the modern conveniences. Quiet personality who enjoys footy, music, playing tennis and golf and relaxing at home with a quiet drink after a hard day’s work. Respectful of others space and privacy.
I am an ANU student and work part time in a bar in Barton. I am friendly and easy going but also a respectful housemate. I enjoy cooking, hanging out over a glass of wine and travelling back to Melbourne to see family whenever I get a few days free. Ideally I'm looking for a 6-12 month arrangement available from late January.
Easy going, social, shared before, studying full time. Like people, pet friendly. I already miss my dog! (OK, she's my parents, but she loves me) I like to cook. Apparently I sing to myself when I'm happy. I like chilling out, often by reading or writing, and im hoping to improve my water colour skills this year. I'm starting a masters at ANU Jan 22 and I'm looking for somewhere to live! My course runs until the end of November, and while I will be away as part of my study, I'm looking for somewhere I'm glad to return to. I am really looking for somewhere within 5-6km cycle of either ANU or Questacon.
I’m easy going honest, person that enjoys the outdoors don’t mind I chat from time to time and a quiet place to relax after a days work,I like a tidy house and like to clean up after myself! I’m after a secured car park and unfinished room with on bathroom if possible 😊
