Hi, I am 22 years old and from Europe (Austria). Back at home, I study law and currently, I am on exchange here in lovely Newcastle. Since I really got to like the city, I managed to find a supervisor at my home uni who agreed to let me write it from here. Thus, I can extend my stay for another semester (or actually three months from September - December). As Austrian, I love skiing (which apparently wasn't my main reason to come to Australia) and drinking beer. Usually, I am always engaged with something (going to the gym, doing stuff with friends, going out or studying at uni). So, mainly I am not really a person to spend a lot of time inside my accommodation. However, I am happy to chat (and have a beer) whenever there's time with my flatmates!
Hey everyone, My names Lani and I am looking to move to Newcastle from the Central Coast. I graduated uni at the end of last year and currently work full time in Marketing. I also have a friend Georgia who is AMAZING and wanting to move with me. She is a full time publicist and down right awesome girl. We both value our alone time as we are usually busy through out the week with work, gym, Netball etc. However, don’t mind a wine or two on the weekend! Would love a place in the heart of town so we can walk or ride to work!! Let me know if you want to meet up to chat more :)
Hi Future Flatmates!, I’m moving to Newcastle to finish off my medical studies at the John Hunter Hospital. If all goes to plan I should graduate at the end of 2019, so I’m looking for a place I could possibly stay for the next 18 months, or at least until the end of this year. I am on exchange right now in Bergen, Norway until the 19th June. I’d be looking to move in from around the 23rd June. I’ve spent the first three years of my degree studying up in Armidale, NSW and so I’m really looking forward to living near the beach soon! It is also my first time living in Newcastle, so it would be great to be shown around to all of the good places. Apart from that I love being outdoors, staying active and trying to new places to eat (I’m a vegetarian). I’m also easy going; and a clean and tidy person. If you have any more questions just let me know. Unfortunately, I won’t have time to come and visit beforehand, but I’m happy to answer any questions and can skype to meet-up beforehand and organise any logistics. Looking forward to your response!
Hey potential roomies! My name's Amy, I'm 22 and chipping away at uni in hopes of one day finishing a pesky law degree, while working part time (20-30 hours/week) in retail. I spent last year backpacking and living in hostels so I've got a lot of respect for communal spaces and keeping things tidy. I enjoy my space and alone time, but I'm looking for friends more than housemates! A bit about me: - I'm vego (though I don't need my housemates to be) and love to cook - Keen hiker - Garbage reality TV watcher (hello Bachelor) - Loves a good boogie on the weekends Shoot me a message if it sounds like we'd get along!
Chilled 31 year old looking to join a social household with other like-minded humans. Respectful of others privacy and space, also happy to cook for the house fam and have a drink/watch a movie etc on occasion. My interests are music, film, literature and environmental sustainability. I will be studying full time at Newcastle Uni (Communications) and working part time. I do have a friendly 10 year old indoor cat - uses his litter and scratching post without fuss. I'm clean, tidy and a perfect housemate (in my opinion) :)
I'm a chef, and studying nutrition part time. Clean and tidy housemate, pay rent/bills on time, respectful of other peoples space and privacy. Interests include cooking, fitness, waterskiing, binging on Netflix, and a few cheeky arvo beers. Looking for a place thats social, but also respects people needing their own space from time to time.
Hey! I’m a 30 year old guy who works for the NDIS full time and FRNSW permanent part time. I’m a clean, considerate, and reliable person who generally loves a chat but enjoys his own time, too. I love animals (especially Pugs!) but I don’t have pets of my own. Hoping to live with someone who is both considerate and reliable and who isn’t a complete peanut. Thanks!
I am respectful, private, friendly and clean. I own a parrot I enjoy sports, health and well-being and being social I am looking for more work and to resume my studies after relocating from a overcrowded situation
Hola! We are Lani and Georgia and we are looking for a 3rd roomie to join us in the house hunt in/near Newcastle CBD. Lani is a 25 year old digital account executive who has just landed an awesome role in Newcastle. She's hilarious and warm and one of the best people you'll probably ever meet. She can also cook and is a brainiac so hit her up for any academic advice. Lani's family is on the Central Coast and she is a social butterfly so would be in and out of the house visiting family, friends and playing netball. My name is Georgia and I am 22 years old and Communications Manager who works at an agency in the CBD. I'm pretty active with gym, beach and friends so don't tend to linger around at home much. My boyfriend would stay at the house potentially once a week but I would be at his house once or twice a week so you'd be lucky to catch me. Both of us enjoy a glass of wine/food/good times with friends but also appreciate space and time to ourselves. We met at uni and have been pals ever since! Looking to find a place around July. Ideally we would like a roomie aged 21 - 28 who is independent, happy and clean. Get in touch if you'd like to be our roomie!
I have a lovely house full of furniture I can bring or store. I can cook. I am clean, tidy and keep to myself but am happy to have a chat and a glass of wine. Would prefer to live with people I consider friends and not just Flatmates.
Available to move: early/mid July Hello there, we are a super chill couple recently moved back from Sydney (originally from Newcastle). We LOVE music, design, travelling, Star Wars, camping, video-games and keeping fit/healthy. Our living attributes include being very tidy, respectful and environmental. Andy (27) is a super nice and social guy. He is the type of traditional bloke who will pass you on the street and say 'G'day'. He hangs off the side of high-rise buildings like Spider man for a living - repairing, cleaning, installing, taking Snapchat selfies of the view etc. He is a bit of a dare devil - enjoys rock climbing, spearfishing and free-diving. He loves his Toyota Chaser and will insist on cooking you Portuguese chicken wraps. Mel (27) is darn sweet but very shy at first. She is a freelance graphic and textile designer who works from home. She loves her space during the week, but totally comes out of her shell on weekends. She also has THE best cat in the world - Mishka who has turned every cat hater in her path into a cat lover - seriously. Mel is a soccer and indoor plant fiend. We are looking for a place with at least 1 car space and is open to allowing a pet (Mishka - aka your new best furrend). Our ideal housemates would be super cool, cultured, love a drink, going to gigs and social events, good music (we love playing and collecting vinyl) and hopefully become our friends! Our ideal housemates are clean, sustainable and have an interest in recycling/minimising waste. Being tidy and respectable of property is a must. We would be very interested in starting a share house.
Hi! My names Hunter and I've recently moved to Maitland from Coffs. Im looking to moved into newcastle as thats close to work (and everything else, Maitland gets boring). I work fulltime monday-friday. I'm a social person and always up for a couple of drinks, going to festivals or gigs and the beach but I also like my down times. Keen to move in as soon as a room becomes available as I'm living with family so wont need to wait for a lease to be up!
We are two mates, Wyatt and Liam, looking for two bedrooms around the CBD of Newcastle. We are hell easy going, clean and friendly guys Super active too, deeply involved with the University Football Club. We are keen to find a place with some fun people and are more than happy to pull our weight and get involved within the household.
a international student of Newcastle university. I had Worked for 4 years in Chinese hospital. I don't smoke and don't drink, also don't love mess. normally I will move to SYD for weekend, and back to UNI on the Monday. looking for a flatmate like my age or bigger.
I grew up in Newcastle and now working full time at Rutherford as a flight instructor. I work full time with Wednesday and Thursdays as my days off. I'm very easy going and tidy, and generally like to check out new places popping up around Newcastle on my days off. I like to keep things clean and don't have a lot of stuff, as I try to get out most of the time on my days off. I don't smoke and enjoy the occasional drink, mostly craft beer but again that is usually outside of home. I like animals so don't mind if there are pets (prefer dogs). Any questions let me know.
Hey guys and gals, I'm a 23-year-old graphic designer who's **moving to Newy mid-July** for a new (full-time) job. I'm moving from Melbourne because it's bloody cold here in winter and having grown up around the coastal areas of Kangaroo Island and Adelaide, I miss being near the beach. I like to keep busy doing fun things i.e. cooking, surfing, skating, exploring and having a yarn over a few drinks when not at work, and like to keep fit by going for a run/doing gym classes etc. I'm easygoing, clean, tidy, and a non-smoker, and would like to live with people who are too :) At the moment I live with an advertising creative, a nurse and an occupational therapist (all guys), so I'm used to a household with varying schedules. I currently work at a nursery - of the horticulture variety - as well as a graphic designer, and would love a bit of a backyard to garden/grow food, but am also happy to go without and just fill the house with my extensive plant collection. Happy to live with a fair range of age groups–most of my friends and my three housemates here are in their mid-late 20s or early 30s–in the Newcastle area. Ideally, I'd like to move into an existing house to make the move easier, and I've got no qualms about signing onto a lease if necessary. Would love to have a Skype meet and greet if you think I sound like someone you'd be keen to have around (can provide endorsements from biased friends and current housemates). I'll be house-sitting in Newcastle from the 16th of July until the 5th August, so will be around from then to meet people and look at rooms/houses etc.
Hello, I'm 20 years old studying Business/Commerce at University. I'm friendly and social and enjoy hanging out with friends and going to the beach. I'm a clean and tidy person that respects other people's space. Looking to share a house with friendly like minded people.
I’m 21 and am looking to move back to Newcastle from Sydney to finish a degree that I started a couple of years ago. I’m open minded, easy going, friendly, tidy and love to meet new people. I’m looking for someone similar, ultimately I’d love to be friends with who I live with (love relaxing in the evenings over a wine/beer), but also love my own time so would respect that in others too. I love Newcastle and am looking for a place that’s as central as possible (close to beach, good fruit and veg shops, cafes and local markets). I love having my friends around (I don’t do it all the time, only every now and then) so would like to live with housemate(s) who are cool with this. I work as a home nurse and will also be going to Uni. I have a collection of plants, love music, design and vintage. I also have a kitten called zephie (who loves people, is really well behaved and not high maintenance at all). I really love my home to have an open feel to it, meaning friends welcome to come around whenever. I’m looking for a housemate, or housemates, who are friendly, laidback, open minded and like to keep the house looking nice. I’m also looking for a place for at least 6 months - Ill be studying in Newcastle for another 2 Years so the longer the better. I’m available to move between the end of June and the end of July.
I’m 22 years old and work full time as a nanny and study teach online. I’m clean and tidy, I’m quiet and like my own space but love a beer after work. I train at the gym and binge watch Netflix in my spare time.
Hey! We are both currently studying to become teachers and both work part time/casual. We are into anything outdoors, beach, walks/adventures but are also happy to lounge around the house on the odd lazy/rainy day and play some board games or settle in for some A+ Netflix show with some drinks and snacks. Neat and tidy and respect others privacy as we do enjoy ours. We are keen to find someone/a couple to find a space with so send me a message if this sounds like it suits what you are after :).
I'm a PhD student from the UK coming to Newcastle for three months to work at the John Hunter Hospital. I'm friendly, tidy and hoping to meet new people through living in a house share. I've lived with other people at university and during my PhD and enjoy the social side of house shares. My main hobby is Acroyoga (partner based acrobatics) but I also love exploring new places, hanging out with friends and eating good food.
Hi! I'm a full time student at UON and i work part-time in retail. Long term rental preferred. not a big party person, being 30(ish) I’m more into red wine and cheese platters than beer bongs, but do enjoy a good bevvy filled banter in the yard over a cob loaf and a cheeky night out once in a while. I don’t know that many people up here yet (moved up here from the central coast) so would love to find some friendly interactive housemates that share dinners and drinks from time to time and don’t just pass each other in the hallways. red wine is the nectar of the gods and cheese platters complete with crackers, dips and cured meat selections are dinners of champions who can't be bothered with real food. chocolate is a constant. disney isn't just for kids. i have a very clean indoor/outdoor cat. gypsy, she's a beautiful ginger kitty, v. small. she kinda hates everything (not mad just very very shy). so won't be all up in your business. spends most of her time asleep in the shade or on my bed at night. If i can give her access outside via a window in my room she's likely to not ever venture into other parts of the house (Because noises are scary). not a clean freak so I’m not going to lose the plot if you leave a dish out for a day but if things start growing in the sink and fridge that's not cool.
I'm incredibly easygoing and enjoy a laugh and a coffee and a chat! I am tidy and clean up after myself straight away, especially in the kitchen (where I love to do cook ups!). I work in high schools and am also studying at UoN at Callaghan. I love being outside either exploring, swimming or walking at the beach, or out bushwalking with friends. I grew up in Sydney, but I only moved to this awesome city last year after living in north Queensland for many years. I don't smoke anymore and I am looking for a smoke free 😁
