Hi. I work part-time at a large sporting complex and am also studying honours in psychology. I'm a quiet, clean and easy-going person who enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, sewing and crafty things, playing board and card games and just generally chilling and hanging out. I enjoy swimming and being in and around water. I also enjoy the occasional game of tennis.
I am currently living in Dubbo with my partner of six years and we are looking for an opportunity to establish ourselves in Canberra. I will be commencing full time study at the University of Canberra for a Bachelor of Engineering and collecting Youth Allowance. Emily is currently seeking full-time work with interviews arranged for our next visit. Emily is a qualified barista and baker with four years experience and I am a qualified IT worker with four years experience. In addition to regular chores I would also be able to assist with any computer issues or advice if desired. We are traveling from Dubbo to Canberra every weekend this year to inspect rental properties but thus far we have been unsuccessful largely due to high demand. We would prefer short-term or mid-term living arrangements to establish ourselves in the city so that we may have easier opportunities to rent independently in the future. Move date is listed as 30/01 but we will be OK to move in whenever available.
Hi there, I'm moving from Newcastle to Canberra in early February to start an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science at ANU. I am honest, respectful and a positive person who will pull my weight in cleaning and cooking. I am looking for a comfortable house share (close to the uni) or an easy going flat mate who enjoys a laugh and a wine or two (or beer) but it also respectful of space and noise. I like to cook, being outdoors (bbq's and the beach), checking out markets, restaurants, bars but also enjoy my own time and a bit of peace and quiet. Looking forward to checking out Canberra. Cheers!
I am an international film student from Indonesia. Pretty much into music, film, art, outdoor activities, camping, etc. I might play guitar and sing sometimes in my room, its an acoustic guitar so it will not make too much noise. I enjoy good talk, but love spending time in my room as well. Plan to buy a motorbike soon so a bit of space in garage will be great.
Hi, my name is Steph! My partner and I are currently looking to move into a share house that is both affordable and has a great vibe/environment to ideally live on a long term basis of anywhere between 6 months to 2-3 years. I was previously working full-time as a Recruitment Consultant for Hays and have come into 2017 With the desire to study at UC full-time while working part time. My partner Sam, is a full-time Real Estate Agent and works 7 days a week. We were previously living with my partners parents but we have decided to venture out and try something new. We are easy to get along with, clean and tidy and grounded - if either of us see something that needs doing around the house, we do it. We aren't loud, we have our goals to save for our first home and are looking to live anywhere that offers us the opportunity to meet great people. We are a pretty standard couple just wanting to find a place to live so we save and purchase our first home down the track in about 2-3 years time. We've been living together for about 1.5 years now, we aren't lovey Dovey in your face, we just need to get away from his rents 😄 Any other questions feel free to call or email, always happy to answer further questions to secure a new home!
I am a very clean and tidy person. I'm not loud, I don't smoke nor drink. I don't go out clubbing and what not. I do like to socialise but I respect when you need alone time. I am from a place near Bega and I will be starting uni at UC on the 13th of February.
I'm a neat, organised and outgoing person. I am very social but respect privacy. I'm a non-smoker and don't go out partying. I love staying in and having movie nights after work.
Hi I'm Tash and I've just moved to Canberra, all the way from Cairns in sunny Nth QLD. I'm very organised and tidy. I enjoy both spending time at the gym and spending time chilled out watching movies/reading on the couch. I like some alone time, but would also love roommates who are happy to chill out and enjoy and chat or movie night in the evenings.
Hi my name is Jedd, I moved in from Adelaide shortly before Christmas. Im working a really steady roster at JBHiFi in the city centre but I'm also studying VFX and Animation in Watson, and undertaking an internship in Acton at the Film and Sound Archive, so a place near the city or with good access to it is a must right now. I'm very clean and polite. I can cook for a group and I come with a staff discount at JBHiFi if we need to upgrade any ammenities. I like to get out a bit, either for drinks or the odd walk/jog, when it's in the budget I wouldn't mind joining a gym either. As far as hobbies, I'm big into both awful and good movies, comics and video games, I spend a lot of time illustrating too! I love pets if you have or want to have any, I have history as a pet/house sitter so people can vouch for me if you need it. I don't sweat the small stuff so I doubt theres any chance of friction living together. I'll be out of the house a fair bit anyways with all my commitments, but I'd love to be mates with whomever I lived with If you have any questions for me feel free to call or text me, I'm working till 5:30 most days though so apologies if any of my responses are delayed at all. I check my emails at lunch too! Cheers!
Hi，I am a student, I am going to study in Australian National Univerisity. I have a classmate will live with me. We are two Chinese girls. We both are postgraduate students. We do not have pets, and we do not smoke. We will clean the room once a week. We are all clean and friendly flatmates. We are looking for two rooms, which is convenient for us to go to Australian National University.Preferred there is a bus station, gym and shopping central within walking distance. Please contact with me.
Hello, I'm Jey, a professional working a number of contracts. I work from home most of the time. I'm very clean and reliable. I mostly keep to myself. I've a 13 year old staffy x jack russell. Rodney is by my side most of the time, thus he needs to be allowed inside. He's very clean and well behaved. He likes eating, sleeping, sniffing and pats. Rodney cannot be around any other animals. I can provide a reference for Rodney. I'd prefer clean and quiet housemates. I'm looking for a place for at least 6months, but will most likely stay longer if it's a comfortable living environment. I hope to hear from you soon.
I'm working full time in the Public Service, very clean and respectful and come with two dogs! A 4 year old red heeler, Buddy who is an outside dog and loves all people and animals and a 1 year old chihuahua, Boo (Princess Boo) who loves all people and animals but sleeps inside and needs her own space - only for her protection because she's so small!
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’ve just landed a full-time job in the APS and I’m moving to Canberra in January. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
I am willing to chip in to all household chores and can whip up some pretty good meals and would be happy to cook sometimes for my housemates. Im a nurse coming to live in act to attend university commencing 13th of feb. Im looking for an initial place to live whilst settling into uni. There is the possibility of going back to sydney in 3 months hence looking for only 3 months atm but may need to extend this depending on whether i stay in canberra or not
Hi, I'm Sabrina, sent to Canberra by my company and having been in here for 2 months. I'm fun and laid-back, enjoying food and binge-watching movies. I work full-time but would also love to socialize!
Hi, my name is Jade. I am 21, moving from Perth Western Australia for a job in Canberra! I am really social and friendly, however I will be studying and working full time, so I probably won't be at the house all that much! I am an easy-going, friendly and clean housemate, hit the gym a fair bit, but I'm also happy to have a Friday night pizza and beer, and hang out with housemates. Alternatively, I am also more than happy to just do my own thing, but would prefer to live with people who love a chat, might want to come on a road trip, or give advice to help me learn to ski over weekends in winter! :) I enjoy a balance between work, study and the rest, and love being active. Happy to live with guys/ girls/ older/ younger. Send me a message if i might be a good fit for your home! :)
Freshly graduated out of the ANU and looking for a place to stay. Im a graduate in Masters of International Relations and a former Public Relations consultant. Looking for a nice homely atmosphere to live in and fun people to share the house with. I like cooking and consider hygiene very important! Very happy to share an occasional beer or wine and watch movies and tv shows.
I am a tidy person to live with. I am friendly and always up for a chat. I work part time at the moment with two jobs. Ive lived in caberra my whole life and would love to experience living out of home. I love to cook and bake and go for walks.
I am a friendly and kind person who enjoys socialising with friends, being active and outdoors and having a netflix binge. I have lived in share houses for the past 5 years. I am a clean, respectful and tidy housemate. I have recently moved to canberra to begin a graduate job as an occupational therapist. I have a beautiful 8yo dog named milly whose currently still in Victoria until I can relocate her. I am looking for people who are interested in teamups, laid back and tidy nature who also are dog lovers 🙂
Hey! I am a mature, considerate, responsible and tidy person who loves my sport and is moving from Sydney to Canberra to study. I am very easy going and like to socialise but also keep to myself at times. I would like to move in for anywhere between a week to a few months at the least and then possibly longer depending on the situation :) Although my preferences are listed below, I am with any suburb/location in Canberra as long a there is parking :)
Hi there, I'm Tahlia, a 23 yo female, a bit about myself, I have 2 jobs, one at The Basement in Belconnen as a bar tender which is a lot of fun to work at since music is a big deal to me, its also an awesome place to go for a few drinks aswell :) my second job is at Kmart which i will be starting soon. My Hobbies: I am very much into my gaming, mostly World Of Warcraft in my own time and i do enjoy having a casual game with friends, even when it comes down to some board or card games :) I am also big into comics, my favorites to read are things such as Deadpool, Batman, The walking dead series, and more, one of my favorites would have to be The Killing joke :) I love my music as i stated above, and binge watching tv shows on netflix is always a good time. I am a pretty happy friendly bubbly person who loves to have a beverage or even a cup of coffee with friends/ room mates here and there, but i also respect everyones privacy and personal space. I am very clean, i always clean up after myself and i like to keep the house generally tidy. I also have 2 dogs, they are my life, my children even and i will never part with them, Carlin is a 2 y/o female Irish wolfhound cross mastiff Daxter is a 1 y/o male Irish wolfhound cross bull arab They are like mini versians of wolfhounds haha both super super well behaved, and toilet trained and even know a fair few cool tricks :P if you have any other questions for me please feel free to message me :)
I'm relocating from metropolitan Melbourne to commence an APS graduate programme in February 2017. I'm perhaps different to other flatmates, may be its an age thing or maturity. I'm a Taurus if that means anything to some, it just sums up in abbreviation as to what kind of person I am. For fun... I'm into computers, computer games, gadgets and highly sophisticated toys (gadgets... again). I like landscape photography, cycling (road, mtb or electric). I also like racket sports (e.g. Squash, Badminton), gym and also driving in addition to exploration and getaways. I generally keep to myself and will either ride, walk or drive to work.
I am easy-going. I am okay with occasional conversations but can also respect privacy. I will be staying home only for the night since I'll be at school most of the time. Most importantly, I share food, and I think that's beautiful. :)
Aidan and I are both young adults looking to move out of home. Both of us are tidy and able to cook and clean. I have a part-time job in Tuggeranong. We have our own personal furniture (bed, bookcase, set of draws etc.) but can pitch in to buy things such as cooking utensils and other furniture if need be. In our spare time we (mostly Aidan) play video/computer games, read, and other quiet things. We are also interested in camping, indoor rock climbing, and hiking etc. We are looking to move out around the beginning of March, or possibly sooner, depending on how things turn out.
Howdy! I'm moving down from Brisbane to start a Masters Degree at ANU. I mainly want to stay in the Belconnen area as that is where my part-time job will be with easy access to ANU. I'm easy going and quite laid-back but am willing to do work around the place. I love to causally hang out with a small group of people. I am a very idependent person but like to share experiences with others. My interests include casual gaming, hiking, and getting out in the wilderness (I would be keen to check out what Canberra has to offer during the Semester breaks). Most of my time will be spent studying and working part-time with a bit of acoustic guitar learning and gaming when I can squeeze it in. I am very interested in getting 2-3 people together and finding a nice apartment. Cheers!
Hi, just recently received a job offer to be working within the APS, looking to move in ASAP, as I start work on the 15/02/17. Any where in the Canberra region is ok with me. I'm 25, relaxed easy going person. Happy to have a night out, or have a lazy time at home, or even jump in the car and go for a road trip, such as going for a fish, or even a wonder around the city. Currently my standard day involves work, then training finished with either tv, random shows or reading a book.
Hey, Im Caity, I'm 24 and I have a lab/border collie mix Buster. Im a fairly active person and am looking to get fit after returning from a year and a half overseas. I'm clean, and easy to live with. I love a social house and will rarely turn down a glass of wine. 😊
Easy going, respectful, clean, reliable 24 year old females. I work full time as a Hairdresser and Lily is a Legal PA. We are both very easy going and friendly ladies, but spend most of our time at work, gym or catching up with friends. I also have a small well trained Pug x Shitzu. Me and my friend Lily are just looking for people or someone who is like minded, respectful and kind.
Emi - I'm an (initially) shy half-Japanese-half-Aussie student from Sydney about to undertake my first year of university at ANU (Bachelor of Science). I play piano, guitar and sing; and enjoy powerlifting and swimming. I'm a qualified lifeguard - so you'll have someone in the house that knows First Aid and CPR - haha! I like a clean house and am often prone to being a super neat freak when I'm stressed, but when I'm not stressed, I'm a normal kind of clean. Very easy-going but dedicated student when I have to be. Luke - I'm an Aussie bloke moving to Canberra to study at ANU. I like powerlifting and gaming in my free time even though I'm terrible at both. I'm pretty laid back as well, which is a good thing most of the time. Together - We are a respectful couple that won't make you feel like you're third-wheeling. We have already been living together so there won't be any 'first-time-living-together-fighting'. We both enjoy existential questioning, deep conversations and debating in differing opinions...so would love if you could join in!
I've lived almost exclusively in share houses for the last 8 years (preceded by 6 years of boarding school) so I know all about being respectful of other peoples' spaces and reliable with rent, shared expenses etc. I'm super clean and tidy and I don't like mooching off others, so I expect the same from my house mates. I work full time in the public service so I won't be home much during the weekdays. Weeknights I'm usually pretty content just to do my own thing but I'm happy to jump on board social events too, especially when someone else organises it. It usually doesn't take much twisting my arm to get up to adventures on the weekends though. If you want to know anything else just let me know or feel free to do a cheeky Facebook stalk Also my move date is flexible! I had to put one down so it's just a rough estimate. Cheers!
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
Hey, I'm looking for a room for me and my Bulldog willow. I'm a 23 year old female. I spend most of my spare time going to the gym or just relaxing in my room when I'm not working. I am looking for somewhere to move ASAP. I'm pretty chilled don't mind a movie and chat with the housemates but also respect personal space and privacy. Willow is a 2 year old American Bulldog. She is extremely chilled out and spends all her time sleeping and wanting cuddles. She doesn't chew anything and is obedient. Send me a message if you think you have a place for us :)
Hi! I'm 26 and moving to Canberra from Melbourne to start in an APS grad position. I'm very clean, enjoy cooking and exercising, as well as a few wines on the weekend. Looking for a room in a shared apartment with 2-3 people, no couples or cats. Cheers :)
The sitch: I’m looking to find at least 1 female professional around the same age to start up a new sharehouse. I’m moving as my current landlord rents rooms individually and has chosen a 50yo woman for the other room. Nuf said. I've been lurking on flatmates.com for a while (I'm lazy), and have now decided I might as well really start looking. *I have no urgent leave date, it just made me choose a date. I just have to give my landlord 2 weeks notice. The proposal: I’m hoping to meet someone with similar ideas and a complementary personality. We could rent a 3br house first and then choose a 3rd tenant together. I’m looking for a place in the burbs around Belconnen (Aranda, Macquarie, Page, Evatt etc), though I think Macquarie/Aranda are pretty good as they’re just off Belconnen way if you work in the city. This is completely up for negotiation, though, don’t worry :) I was thinking we could look for a newer house, but really my main concern is space and light as I hate tiny rooms with tiny windows. It’s for this reason I’d prefer the ensuite/master room as they tend to be bigger. Obviously I’d pay more rent. But if the other rooms are big, that’s not a problem. I come with barfridge, biggish TV, coffee table, dryer, kitchen table. I have all my own kitchen stuff and bedroom furniture. I’m totally open to negotiating on what we need to get – couch, big fridge, washing machine etc. Me: INTJ if you put any stock in that. I’m a non-smoker. I like to play videogames (PS4, XBONE – I can definitely buy headphones if you find the noise annoying), read, write, research random crap. I enjoy Reddit, YouTube and Netflix, fashion and makeup, and play ultimate Frisbee. I’m a 2ic in my customer-service based workplace, which I find a bit draining, so I like to chill with a peaceful cup of tea after work. I love discussions about philosophical ideas, politics, any random crap really as long as it’s not small talk haha. I suppose a fellow introvert will find it easier to live with me. That being said, I can be pretty social too - I love a good movie or cards night, or chilling together on mutual days off. I’ve been living in sharehouses for around 6 years with no major dramas, but I’m really looking to make a home and you’re an important part of that. You: Introvert or extrovert, I don’t care at all, as long as you don’t expect energetic conversation for the first hour or so after work. Non-smoker. Not a first-time home leaver (unless you’re an exception to the typical kinda thoughtless housemate those guys make). Just be clean and pay the bills and we’ll get along fine.
Easy going, active public servant looking for short-term accommodation to June/July before heading overseas on posting. House trained and will provide wine and cheese.
Hi my names Jye :) i'm an 18 year old from Griffith NSW! i'm a full time concreter and play footy, so i will be out of the house a lot! i'm very relaxed and enjoy having a laugh Can't wait to hear from you!
Two ANU students looking for a two bedroom apartment or house in Belconnen, preferably furnished and near Westfield. Walking distance within 10 minutes to the bus station for Route 300 series. Or 15 minutes walking distance to ANU surrounding suburbs, the price is negotiable considering the distance. Thanks.
Hi, I am a female international postgraduate doing Master of Commerce at ANU. I am easygoing, tidy and considerate, and have shared houses with others before; I thus fully understand the importance of taking care of the property, respecting others' privacy, and getting along with all the housemates.
Hi, I'm Vern. I'm a recent graduate from ANU. I'm currently working casual as a disability support worker while finding a permanent job related to my field of studies. I can be very sociable but I do enjoy having my own private time. I'm very clean (a little bit of an OCD lol) and quiet when I'm doing my own stuff. I love to cook, bake and chill over movies. I'm respectful of others' privacy and I hope the same from my housemates. :)
I'm a fourth year uni student in Canberra (though I'm overseas on exchange until mid-January, hence the Taiwanese phone number), studying Chinese and Science. I'm tidy and pretty quiet, though I'm always up for a chat over a cup of tea. I'm looking for a tidy, friendly household (if you've got any cooking/cleaning rosters I'm keen to join). I love pets and I'd help walk dogs if you have them.
I'm moving from Brisbane to Canberra for a graduate position. I'm friendly and easy-going. I love to cook and like my home kept fairly clean and tidy. Ideally I would like to share a 2-bed 2-bath unit with another non-smoking young professional female. For fun I enjoy relaxing, reading and watching Netflix. I love travelling and I am interested in exploring Canberra and the surrounding areas. Happy to live with pets. Move-in date is flexible as long at it's before 19 February.
I'm going into my third year of uni and I'm looking for a sharehouse with other uni students. I've spent a few years living out of home in sharehouses so I understand how things work. I'm more than happy to do my share of house work and rent is never late. I'm respectful of other housemates privacy and such but always happy to share a drink and a laugh.
Masters student at ANU (International Relations), looking for accommodation for at least 6 months but could be more as it depends on when my wife and son arrive in Canberra later in the year. I will then look to move out at that point. Happy to live with a wide range of people of all ages and backgrounds but I'll probably spend most of my time either in my room or out of the house at uni given my studies. I'll most likely come out of hibernation on the weekends and to try and get to the gym or somewhere with fresh air every couple of days. I understand there are hiking trails near ANU? I've been known to get excitable and shout (various things) at the TV when the All Blacks are playing. However, this year I will do my best to maintain decorum. The suburbs that I've listed are just a representative sample. I don't actually mind living in most places in Canberra as I understand it isn't all that far from anywhere else in Canberra.
Hey! I'm a full time student at ANU looking for a new place after spending a semester in the Netherlands. I'm super social and fun but I know when to have a quiet night and let everyone study/sleep etc. I love cooking vegetarian food (I happily await your teasing) and I'm trying to get back into the gym (but I've been overseas for 7 months so it might be a bit of a struggle haha). I LOVE travelling and try to get away as much as possible. I also love having adventures here in Australia so if you want a camping buddy or just someone to go on spontaneous trips to the beach with then let me know. I'm clean and tidy, punctual with rent and bills, and a responsible but fun housemate. I'm pretty easy to get along with and love to have a laugh over a few beers. Basically, I like to think I'm good fun and would love to enter a share house with similar people who will have a drink with me but also let me punch out the odd essay. Look forward to meeting you, Amber :)
I am looking for 1x Bed 1x Bathroom 1x Carpark Looking at around February/ March 2017+. A working professional and i'll be mainly at work from 7am to 6pm Monday to Fridays. I am extremely clean, tidy and quiet and trust worthy, a non smoker. Also, will help in keeping the place clean and tidy. Alternatively looking at teaming/ sharing a 2x Bed, 2x Bathroom palace Carpark (under cover) Bills to share (internet, Water, Elec.). Message me your details to discuss further...
Hi, I'm currently a student studying at the ANU and will mostly be out of the house/apartment in the day at uni. I'm pretty sociable and like a chat and movie here and then, but I'm also usually out of the house hanging with friends :) If you need space, I'm also pretty good at keeping to my self. I don't throw parties and do like to have the occasional friends over for a movie or games night, but even then, it's pretty rare (1-2 a week). I've lived in a share house for the last year and it's only due to lease expiring that I need a new place. I don't mind anywhere Northside Canberra as I have a car so I'm pretty flexible with location, but close to the city would be preferable. Hope to hear from you soon!
