Hey potential flatmates! I am looking for a couple who would be interested in TEAMING UP to apply for a 2 bedroom apartment close to the city! (I've found a place in Brunswick that I LOVE, it's $500 per week and available 4th of April, which is ideally when I'd be looking to move!) But if this place falls through, I'm looking in areas such as Brunswick, Camberwell, Richmond, Hawthorn, Prahran, and Kensington. Wanting to spend max $200 per week each (there is heaps available for less than this!). I am very chill but particular about a nice/modern house & furniture. I am currently back home saving but have 5 years of renting/house share experience :) Looking to do this by the end of March start of April :) Big plus if you have furniture, but am putting aside money for household staples (fridge, washing machine, couch etc.) but bonus if you guys can chip in. About me: I work full-time in the CBD, going to be studying real estate this year. When I'm not working or catching up on sleep from my 2am finish, I'm hanging out with friends/my boyfriend, finding A+ cafe's for brunch, binge watching Netflix, playing video games/streaming on Twitch (good internet is a must). I'm introverted most of the time but am always keen for a chat, dinner, glass of wine & movie! In saying this, I also respect peoples space and expect the same :) I am also happy to move into an already established share house with like minded people my age if the right place/people come along. Shoot us a message if this sounds like something you'd be interested in :)
My name is Tarni :) Im 21, originally from Sydney but currently living on the Gold Coast. Looking for a fresh start and have decided to give Melbourne a go. Im only wanting to live in share house until I get myself settled and save enough money to find a little house, probably around 4-6 weeks. I’m very easy going, always love to meet new people. I like to keep to myself as well so won’t be all up in your business. I like to cook for myself and anyone I live with. I’m super reliable when it comes to rent/bills.
Young professional moving to Melbourne. Work full time in the CBD so will be out of the house during the week and will be reliable on rent. On weekends I expect to explore what Melbourne has to offer or simply unwind away from work. I (try to) stay active with regular exercise in my spare time and am always up for chilling out and catching up with friends over a board game or two. Happy to share a drink or meal together if schedules permit, but respectful of people's personal space and the need for a quality and relaxed unwind away from work. I consider myself organised, clean, tidy and respectful. Looking for a place that is sociable, but not a party house. For a place to consider home rather than a place to live in, and hopefully with people to be more than strangers that simply share the same roof.
Im relaxed, enjoy having a chat but also enjoy having personal space. I’m easy going, enjoy having a few drinks on the weekend. Not interested in a party house. Enjoy going out for dinner and socialising. Enjoy holidays and outdoor activities
Hi future flatmate! To describe myself, I am an energetic, social, happy little bunny! I am originally from Sunny California and is currently looking for my next long-term home (6 months with the potential for renewal or extension). I am 24 years old and I am often applauded for being very mature and reliable for my age, but also fun and lively. Don't worry I don't have all this energy ALL the time! I am typically more mellow when I am at home, because home for me is a space for you to relax and recharge. And I also like to keep this space very clean and organised. I am a Corporate Auditor (accountant) for Deloitte and work the usual M-F / 9-5pm schedule. And being an accountant, you wont have to worry about me missing a payment! I like to live an active and healthy lifestyle where I enjoy doing yoga, going to the gym, and attempting to eat right most of the time (I have the biggest sweet tooth!). On the weekends, you will always find me where the music is at or on a road trip or having a nice picnic with friends at the park or just exploring what the next new thing this lovely city has to offer! Feel free to reach out if you think we would be great flatmates! Cheers! xx
I'm Adrian, 22, an international student from Mexico trying to enjoy the most out of good-ol' Melbourne since 4 months ago. I'm currently taking a major in Psychology at UniofMelb, and am working part-time in a cafe in South Yarra. I consider myself to be a soft-spoken, polite, and friendly guy. I enjoy hanging out with people and creating the best memories as I'm an easygoing dude. Hygiene is something really important to me, so you can rely I won't ever leave a mess behind (and I'll expect you not to as well). Keeping a sense of harmony and balance in my life is something I look up to. I like having fun out (read: out) with mates, having some drinks and whatnot, but I also love having lazy days doing nothing but watching Steven Universe or whatever is trending on Netflix. I'm into fitness and healthy living, socio-politics, and traveling (but seriously who isn't into traveling nowadays?). Cheers!
I'm an easy-going freelance photographer & student from Germany and here to study at Victoria University. I'm very open minded, love to hang out and get to know new people, but I also respect other flatmates space & privacy. I'm very tidy as well. Most of the time I'll be out studying or exploring this beautiful city with my camera. Please get in touch with me if you have a furnished room! I'm looking forward to meeting you! Max
1. I replace the toilet paper when it runs out 2. I actually enjoy cooking for myself and others 3. I have netflix, hbo go, and amazon prime accounts 4. Not really a neat freak but I DO CLEAN - often without being prompted 5. Basically just down to earth, friendly, easygoing, and respectful of others/property/wont steal your food
Hi my name is Marco, I am from Germany and doing a semester abroad at Swinburne University of Technology for the next half year. That is the reason why I am looking for a nice flat-sharing community. I am a mechanical engineer, residential community experience, non-smoker, like doing sports, discovering Melbourne and also Australia. I would be very happy about a positive massage from you. Best regards Marco
I've lived in Melbourne for a year now after relocating from NSW, where I have lived all my life. I love everything about Melbourne! I still have so much left to explore. I will be studying nursing at La Trobe next year, and this year I'm going to focus on working, volunteering, and studying online. I'm friendly, laid back, and reliable. My most important values are honesty, compassion, and respect. I'm sociable but also quiet and clean. I have plenty of friends here but I prefer to go out and do things outside the house, so I don't have friends over often. And I'm always open to making new friends too! I love to cook and often prefer to cook for other people, not just myself. I also love pets, especially cats, so would welcome a place with pets. My other interests/hobbies are music, film, gaming, exploring nature, riding my bike (although I'm out of practise), science and maths, plants, playing keyboard and guitar (again, out of practise), just exploring the city, comedy shows, trivia nights, scrabble, and reading. I'm not picky with location, but I'm looking for a place near public transport, with friendly housemates, and preferably a downstairs room because I've discovered upstairs rooms can get very hot in the summer (not sure why this surprised me lol). I put 6 months but I'm also open to something more temporary and eventually want to find something long term. Either furnished or unfurnished works for me.
Hey, I’m Dan, a 29yo Aerospace Engineer working for the RAAF on Bourke St in the CBD. I currently live in Docklands in my own apartment (moved to Melbourne after finishing grad school in Chicago, Mar 2017), and am looking for a new place to stay ...as the construction and hustle of my current area is too noisy! Keen for a well serviced area, near PT and markets! I am an easy going guy, originally from a family farm in country Victoria. I am very tidy. I like to exercise, watch sports, and do quite a bit of travel with work and in my spare time. Would be great to hear from you. I would be available to move in around mid March.
Hi potential future housemate! I'm from Tassie but have been living in Melbourne for over three years now. Love going on adventures, cooking/eating, yoga, being social and the occasional gig/festival! I work in Hospo and as a beauty therapist, looking to study part-time in the not to distant future. Moving from south-east to north for a change of pace and to be closer to the city. I'm an easy going, friendly and courteous person. I'll keep to myself but also always free for a chat/wine and the likes. Thank you for reading!
I love asking people how their day was, how they're doing, joking around and if/when we should dig in on that six-pack. I'm tidy but very laid back as it comes to others, as long as it's a respectful environment. I like music a lot, watching and discussing movies, politics, running and swimming. TRYING to get into kitesurfing. I don't think I snore, at least that's what my girlfriend back in Sweden says.. I'll be studying at Melb uni for four months, so I'm looking forward getting to know lots of great people!
Hi, my name is Jantina, am 34 yo, and am originally from the Netherlands, living in Melbourne since 4 years. I am hoping to live near the beach. I work full-time as a social worker. I am a very relaxed and easygoing person, sociable, love have a drink and a chat every now and then (although also respectful of other's privacy) and am clean and tidy. In my spare time I like to play tennis, hike, travel, read a good book or binge on Netflix (occasionally), or catch up with friends. Hope to hear from you!
Hey you! My name is Lukas and I'm going to write my master thesis (political science) at the La Trobe University from March until June. I just arrived in Melbourne and I'd like to find a nice flat with the best flatmates asap, which means I am also open to teamup :) During my stay in Melbourne I will focus on my thesis and, hopefully, work for a few hours per week to save up for some trips 'close' to Melbourne, maybe with you if you like :) I ilke to hang out and to get to know new people and places. I studied in the USA, the Netherlands and Spain each a semester abroad and now it's time to impove my English skills and to get to know a whole new continent. After having writen my thesis by around the end of June, I plan to travel through Australia for another month and then travel back to little Germany via NZ, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. In case you're searching for someone to stay longer than four and a half months like I would, I'd gladly take care of finding a new person who you like to move in after I'm gone. I consider myself as easy-going, tidy and clean and am interested in sports, movies, cooking, culture, politics (of course), languages, etc.
I'm friendly, relaxed, good around the house. I am a 21 year old student studying full time at Swinburne University. Respectful of other people's privacy but also pretty down to earth and willing to have a chat or a beer. Currently overseas travelling in South America on my way back will be in Melbourne on the 26th of Feb so can move in straight away that week!!
If you are the kind who doesn't give any f*** about your housemates other than the house will be fully furnished, well I have a whole house full of furniture.. I just need a new place to settle them. But then again, if anyone's keen purely because of my furniture then i probably wouldn't be keen living with them :) And so the essay begins............................ - I come as a package of 3 (2 playful kittens adopted from the shelter + myself). And with cats come their toys. Cat scratchers and cat toys are usually placed in their designated play area so you must love them enough to be able to accept the cat scratcher and their toys in the living area! They are playful so if your mentality is "cats are tolerable" then i don't think i am a suitable housemate. Personality wise I’d say I’m kinda over the let’s get happy drunk every night phase of my life. That's not to say no more night conversations over glasses of wine.. it simply means the days of getting carried out of a club like like a toppling corpse is over. We can all blame Friends for feeding us all these fantasies of how fantastic life would be with housemates doing literally everything together, becoming BFFs but well we don't live in NBC. My little childhood dream of housemates as friends, chilling over wine and hanging out still resurfaces once in a while but as life takes over, I do understand that sometimes all we want when we get home is just some private space. And I absolutely second that. Bottomline is my opinion is. that everyone should get a choice of whether they are in the mood to bond at any particular time? What's worse than having a horrible day at work, just wanting to escape the world for a day but have housemates waiting for you at home to be a social butterfly? The whole purpose of bonding is already defeated if any 1 of the participants isn't into it in the 1st place. So that's my mentality towards a sharehouse in an (i tried my best to condense it) essay. Finally on myself, I'm probably the laziest person alive but dont worry. I dont cook so i wouldnt mess up your kitchen. I dont garden but i would love a balcony or backyard for my cats. When i say lazy, i pretty much mean that i get takeaways all the time. Physcially lazy, but my curiosity can never be satisfied. I have a very diverse range of interest. I do muay thai, ride a motorbike (scooter now, bike got stolen). Adrenaline junkie, loves solo travelling. Loves conversation about modern society, philosophy, very into tech ( i buy stuff and disassemble them for fun). Basically it seems like somehow i get interested in everything! If you are still with me *waves* after my really long profile description and keen on reaching out, please text me Cheers!
Student studying Captive animals/zoology. Casual healthcare worker. Unbelievably relaxed and respectful individual, a bit Ocd when it comes to cleaning, on the cusp of crazy catman when it comes to my girl, Chloe who is extremely well house trained, loves walks on a leash and is very friendly. My Hobbies include live music and anything that is in the creative spectrum. I am also friendly and understand the importance of privacy and personal space. Non drinker, good cook, love the outdoors and nature.
I'm a 23-year-old Scottish traveller looking for somewhere to live in Melbourne for about 3 months. I currently work full-time Monday-Friday at a cafe in the CBD. I am an easy going, social person. I am looking for some great people to live with but also looking for some fantastic people to become friends with. I would prefer to live with all female but can be flexible with this (depending on the situation). I want to explore Melbourne as much as possible whilst I'm here, so if you have any good places I'd love to check them out. I enjoy some drinks (preferably vodka) and good music. I like to chill with friends and watch movies/TV, play some card or board games and have a good laugh. I am a very clean person and always respect others boundaries/belonging so I would expect the same in return. I am looking for a private room because although I do love to socialise with others I also enjoy my alone time. I am a scuba diver too so finding a scuba friend would be the bee's knees! I would also be SUPER excited if you had a dog! I love love love dogs and would treat him/her like my own. :) If you think we would be a great match for roomies please give me a message! I'd love to come meet you and check out your place.
Always keen for a grabbing a beer, cooking some dinner, or spontaneous trips to footy games, farmers markets, paintball.... the usual. I've lived in shared houses for a decade so know how to behave myself - social areas stay clean and tidy, my room goes through phases though. I'm a firm believer of becoming mates with the people that I live with otherwise what's the point!
Hey I'm Taneale :) I just finished my degree and I currently work in cosmetics. I'm moving to Melbs from WA in a couple of weeks, so will need somewhere to live from early March. I am very social, I am really passionate about my job and I am very organised.
Hello! We are a couple in our early twenties looking for a room (preferably in an already existing share house as we are just looking for a relatively short term place - 5 months). I (Chloe) am from Melbourne and Sam is from Germany. We both study at RMIT (I'm doing Landscape Architecture and Sam's doing Geology and Engineering) so ideally would love somewhere close to the city. We're both very easy going, open-minded, tidy and respectful and would love to socialise with our housemates but also happy to keep to ourselves when need be! We enjoy cooking together and generally hanging out, board games, a couple of beers/wines and sometimes having a dance on the weekends. I'm into all kinds of random creative things; watercolour, drawing, baking etc. Sam loves playing/watching soccer (or football as he calls it), reading and generally getting active. We're both vegetarians if it's worth mentioning too. If we sound like the kind of people you'd like to live with hit us up as we'd love to hear from you! Thought I should also clarify, $350 is the max rent we're hoping to pay would be for the two of us together :) Move date is flexible!
