Hi, I'm looking for nice flatmates rather than a fancy place. Just sharing the bills is not what I'm looking for. Having a beer or eat together from time to time would be nice. I'm 32 and open to share a flat with people from all ages. I'm a clean, considerate person and hope you're as well. I'm easy going, like sports, and doing outdoor trips to beaches, waterfalls... I have a car, so free parking on street or on side would be good. I'm working 4 days a week in the CBD and study part-time. Thus I need a desk in my room or another place to study. Would be great to find some cool flatmates or team up with you! Cheers, Franz ps: German, in Australia since 2015, new to Melbourne, like cold beer, football and bad jokes ;)
Full time visual merchandising TAFE student at TAFE seeking house or flat share situation with one or two females. FIrst time living out of home but well versed in the basics of running a household and being responsible. It will be a new experience living with people other than family for the first time, so having a flat mate/s a couple or so years older would probably suit well. Will be mostly studying during the weekend but using weekends to let hair down and be with friends/interact socially. Personality is a bit quirky (in a good 'sense of humour' way), creative and articulate.
Hi, I'm a 28 Years old Mexican international student currently looking for a single room. I work in Kew as a Cleaner Supervisor (I'm certain you wont have any cleaning problems with me) Monday - Friday and go to school 3 days a week to the CBD, for that reason I'd like a room in a place mostly with easy access to the CBD. I normally have a busy schedule some days a week between work and study, but I may have off my weekends to either chill at home or hang out with friends, I have a TV and a PS4 I am happy to share, as well as a car to do maybe a road trip, go to the beach, or even grocery shopping. and advantage point with me is that as being Mexican, I'll be able and happy to cook plenty of traditional dishes from my country, way better than the ones we can get at any restaurant here. Also due to my occupation, I have a great vacuum machine and I wont mind doing some thorough vacuuming of the house once in a while (I have some experience doing house cleaning, although I consider is important to share all activities, I know how to do them efficiently and fast. We will never have to hire any cleaning services). I hope to hear from you guys soon, and I wish also to meet my future housemates.
I am looking for friendly share house, my current lease expires early March so I'm looking for somewhere for late feb/early March. I like to catch up and have a drink or dinner and a chat at the end of the day, so social housemates would be preferable. I work full time in the public service and study part time, so I'm not looking to move into a crazy party house. If there's anyone out there keen to help me stay fitness-motivated, that would also be a massive benefit! In general I am looking for a hygienic house, happy people, wireless internet and good ju-ju are a must. I'm looking for either an established share house or happy to also set up one from scratch with others.
Hey there! My name is Delisa, I'm 18 years old and from Germany :-) I am on a working holiday in Australia for 4 months and currently doing in internship in Melbourne. So I look for a place to stay for two months (January - March). I would love to live with people around my age to spend a nice time together! I am a really tolerant, open - minded and helpful person ;-) I would love to hear from you! xoxo Delisa
I’m an engineer who recently graduated university and starting fulltime work in the CBD. I'm looking for a place closer to the city with friendly sociable people. I’m a friendly, neat and reliable person who enjoys other’s company but also respects people's privacy. I enjoy reading, video games and anything outdoors.
Hey! I'm Rebecca, a 21 year old exchange student from Scotland moving to Melbourne to study Sustainable Development at the University of Melbourne. I don't know many people in Melbourne and would love to live with other students around my age though am very flexible around living arrangements. I'm easygoing and sociable, and will always be up for a casual drink/ hanging out though enjoy spending time by myself as well. I really enjoying cooking, and am happy to share cooking with flatmates, and also enjoy going hiking and am keen to explore Australia during my stay.
Hi! We're Hugo and Laura, looking for a place to live within a share house. Hugo works in the CBD as a software sales rep and Laura is studying Nutrition and works at a gym in South Yarra. We both highly value cleanliness and a friendly environment, hence we are looking for likeminded and organised people to live with! We're not that couple who segregates themselves from others at all times and both love meeting new people and expanding our friendship circles. We're ideally looking to move into an established household or a team up arrangement with another couple or some like-minded people and can realistically move in from mid-Feb. If we sound like the kind of couple you'd like to open your door to we'd love to speak further!
Hi, I'm a quiet person who's laid back and easy to get along with, and am looking for accommodation to be able to work in Camberwell. I'm keep things neat and tidy and make sure I do my share of the house work.
Hi my name is Elise. I am currently working in hospitality and going back to study next year to finish my Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice. I am looking for a place closer to my current work and future University placement and job opportunities. I like an equal amount of quiet time and socialising. I am friendly, easy-going and hard-working. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Hiya, I'm potentially moving from Rockhampton, Queensland to Melbourne to study full-time at Swinburne University as well as work. I have recently graduated from high school with an OP2 (ATAR 98) and work two casual jobs, one at retail and one in an arts/framing store. Being a student, I will keep mostly to myself throughout the day but will always be up for a chat/dinner/TV binge in the evening. I'm quite tidy, laid back and love to have a good laugh. As I am moving interstate, I would love to have a housemate who is willing to show me around Melbourne and is interested in going out and socialising occasionally. I'm not a big alcohol drinker (but I'll gladly share one every now and again), I don't smoke nor do I do drugs. I'm looking for someone is happy, tidy and respectful. Simply put, I am looking for a friend. Hope to hear from you soon, Meg
Very easy going and organised guy working at local firm whilst doing masters of architecture. Have been in share houses since moving from country NSW so pretty well trained that way and everything gets paid on time. Complimentary white goods and furniture if there's a hole where the washing machine or couch was. (They can go elsewhere if not) Up for making a good time of things, Drop me a line !
I’m an easy-going 25-year-old female, working full-time as a paramedic. I work a roster of 4 days on followed by 4 days off, which means sometimes coming home between midnight and 3am, but I can assure you I’ve become very good at sneaking around so I don’t wake anyone! I keep pretty busy socializing with friends, hitting the gym, and going out for brunch/dinner. When at home, I keep a clean and tidy space, and enjoy cooking healthy meals, sleeping (love a good nap), binge-watching Netflix, and sharing stories over a bottle of wine. I am looking to move further in towards the city to take advantage of the city lifestyle.
Hi! My name is Mia, I'm 24 years old, looking to move out of home for the first time. I am tidy, friendly and respectful. I don't party hard, but I am sociable and always happy for a chat or a glass of wine. I'm studying psychology and a cert IV in Mental Health, I volunteer at a telephone crisis line for women, and I work 4-5 shifts a week at a part-time hospitality job. When I'm not working I love to write, read, watch movies, visit museums/art galleries, and hiking/going to the beach. I also love to travel, if only I had more money for it! :'( If you are LGBT+ friendly, smoke-free, and looking for a female housemate in the areas of Hawthorn, Toorak, South Yarra, Richmond etc., then I would love to get to know you!
Hi, My name is Pierre, I am French and I am looking for a nice accommodation for my girlfriend and I in Melbourne to move in Wednesday,18th, if your room is still available, can you please tell me if I can come for inspection tomorrow, cheers, Pierre
Hola Amigos, Im a 22 year old third year politics student, afternoon napper, hospo worker, share-house trained, poor from travelling but expert maker of friends. Love intellectual debates (normally involving wine) but flip side I am not unknown to watch Yes to the Dress at 1 am stroking my cat (Don't fear, said cat has been rehomed to my parents). Flexible on place and length of lease so hit me up :)
I'm a sociable person and I recently moved to Victoria from NSW so will definitely be needing people to show me around and introduce me to this beautiful city. I will be working full time, but that will not stop me from my usual TV show binge. I'm happy to answer any questions :D
I am a civil engineer from Brazil. I'm taking a year from work to do a Masters degree at Unimelb. I'm easygoing, always keen to go out for drinks and/or food. I've lived in Melb back in 2013 and love the city. I try to stay active, running, and like going outdoors on weekends. Looking for a nice place with friendly people.

Hey flatmate world, We're a fun loving couple looking for some new housemates in Jan/Feb 2017! We both work full time but are definitely up for getting together with our roomies for a social drink or bite to eat whenever possible. We both love going for brunch, playing different sports and watching trashy telly in our spare time. While we are a couple we are also great at doing thing separately. We are both super clean and as an added bonus Max is a tradie so he's super helpful with jobs around the house. Together we also have all the furniture needed to furnish a new house so if your's is missing anything we'll have it. This is also perfect for anyone wanting to team up. If you want to know anything else about us feel free to message!
I am from Pakistan. I recently graduated from high school and will now be studying at the University of Melbourne. My hobbies include working out, watching movies, listening to music and last but not least, obsessing over cars. I also like to play sports such as football, volleyball and cricket, as well as track/field. I can be flexible when it comes to sharing a place with someone. I don't drink or smoke, but I don't mind if others around me do either. I am not a vegetarian (for those whom it may concern), and I don't despise vegetarians either haha. I'm also cool with pets. I think the only thing I can be guilty of is taking too long to brush my teeth in the morning, so if we're sharing a bathroom we'll have to work around that. Also, I am a firm believer in personal space. I wouldn't want to intrude anyone's set boundaries of personal space and would prefer likewise in return.
Hey hey :) Im a friendly, easy going chick that enjoys working and living a simple life. I've got a pretty wicked sense of humour and tend to joke around once you get to know me. I see the positive side in the majority of things. Also having an understanding and respect of privacy as well as each individuals life styles is really important. So living with a like minded person is a must. I'm currently living in Pascoe Vale and looking for a change. I do have a tv, with a cabinet that it sits on as well as a couple of bed side tables and looking to buy a new queen sized bed. So I'd prefer a room that could accommodate that furniture. I tend to keep to myself after work as I get pretty tired, though im easy to have a chat with. Im a traffic controller so I usually work big hours Monday to Friday and some weekends. Im happy to clean up after myself and keep a tidy lifestyle as well as participating in the household chores so long as its deligated between the housemates equally :) Im preferably looking to find a place that's got the rent and utilities included together. I've grown up being efficient with my usage so I don't see it fair to pay for others wastage and I will give you peace of mind with that :) Looking forward to meeting the right housemate and answering any questions you might have :)
I'm simple. I keep to myself and respect peoples privacy. I understand that my wants or needs aren't everyone elses, which i display by respecting others and what requirments they expect when choosing a housemate. I am a peoples person so i am easy to get along with and will not be a home body as my work is generally based away from melbourne. I also have a consistent income, i hope that helps my house mates in the sense that they wont need to constantly be on my back about rent not being paid on time. That will definitely not happen,
Hi there! Melbourne born with an Armenian background. Easy going, normal kind of guy. Weekdays 9-5 work, get up early some mornings and go for a run and some nights boxing after work. I try to keep things more low key during the week but like the odd night out. Weekends I like to be out and about. Socialising, eating out, travelling, footy and music. I am a clean guy but not the clean freak type! I act younger than I am and mum says I need to grow up haha
Hi everyone! I'm here in Melbourne for one more semester so need a room until about June, (move in and out dates are flexible). I study molecular biology, like being outdoors for a climb a hike or just gardening in the veggie patch (sun and temperatures over 18 degrees is a luxury to be taken advantage of if you're from Sweden). Really like to do things myself like making marmalade and pickles or sewing, really keen to learn how to brew beer and dye stuff in shibori style! I haven't got any furniture so a room with a bed would be great. Apart from that, how the room is is not that important to me, more hoping to share the house with some fun and interesting people! Feel free to message me if you have questions. Cheers!
Hey, I'm Rupert. I am moving down to Melbourne from Queensland in February for my first year of university! I've always loved Melbs and I've decided to just head down and begin this new adventure. I'm looking for a nice place with great people. I'm very normal and a non-smoker. I love exploring Melbourne, visiting museums, seeing shows, enjoying a drink with friends and I'm always down for brunch. I'm very much an extrovert but I do like my own space. I'm a very clean and tidy person, extremely reliable and punctual and hopefully I'll make living with me an enjoyable experience. I'm so excited to move down to Melbourne.
Hey everybody, I am a german exchange student from Munich, who will pass one semester at the university of Melbourne. I am a very open-minded and positive person. I love backpacking, meeting friends and new people and exploring live. In my free time I do all kind of sports, I love cooking with friends, exploring the city and trying new things. I am looking for a place to stay from Feburary until the end of June nearby the university of Melbourne. I would also be happy to team up and search for something together. Feel free to text me. Greetings from Germany. Jil
Hello future flatmate! We are two American travelers --visiting from San Francisco, CA-- on working/ holiday visas in search for a home in Melbourne from January until April. We are in our late 20's, extremely clean, easygoing, and respectful roommates. Back home, Jed works in Primary education & Brittany works in residential Interior Design. The two of us enjoy reading, playing music, and almost anything that involves working with our hands (arts, crafts, etc). If you think we sound like a good fit for your home, please don't hesitate to message us! Thanks so much! Cheers, Jed and Brittany
Hi future housemate! My name is Carme. I'm 24 and I'm currently an intern (paid internship 😉 ) at the Spanish Consulate which is in Carlton. I've been living in Australia for about two months but now the lease in my house is running out and I'm looking for a new place until my internship runs out (end of March). If you wanna know a little bit about me, I come from Spain, where I just graduated from a double bachelors degree in Law and Political Science. I love travelling (I've lived in Finland, Sweden and the USA), making friends, reading, cooking, sporting, drinking wine and occasionally partying. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
High standards when it comes to cleanliness and tidiness but friendly and easy going, I'm working full time so I'm out most of the day and night (I work in hospitality/events). Relatively new to Melbourne so I'm always down to explore and find new cool places to eat and drink. I wanna be able to have friends over for drinks on the weekend but no crazy partying. I love sports, going to the gym and to the movies, clubbing on the weekend, going to live gigs and in general listening to good music. I'm originally Italian but I've been in living between Brisbane Sydney and now Melbourne for over 4 years; I just graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts, I majored in linguistics and business management and I'm now working in the events industry (Cirque du Soleil, Vivid Sydney, L'Ètape Australia, Laneway Festival etc). I speak French and a bit of Spanish on top of English and Italian, I'm obsessed with traveling (I'm at about 36 countries as of right now) and learning about other cultures. After 3 years in sydney I'm finally making the big move and moving to Melbourne which is by far the most amazing city on this planet ❤️
Hi there Im Francesca, Im almost 23 years old about to start my final year of masters. I'm a very easy going, friendly person and get a long with practically everyone. Im very tidy and respectable and am looking to find a place closer to my uni (RMIT Brunswick) as i actually live near mornington! I am not a smoker nor much of a drinker and would love to find a place as soon as possible :)
I'm a Kiwi who has been living and working in Melbourne since last year. I have been flatting for around 5 years in a few different places so I am used to living with others. I like to keep fit and healthy by going to the gym and playing sports. As I have not been in Australia long I will often be out and about seeing what there is to do! When at home, I like to chat with the flatties, watch movies and chill out. I regularly cook my dinners and lunches but will eat out occasionally. Would definitely like to meet the other flatmates and see the place before moving in.
Anything you would like to know ask away. Myself and my best friend Sarah are looking for 2 rooms in a place to rent till the end of May maybe continuing to end of July. We both work full time very clean and enjoy socializing but also our own space. Always up for a weekend adventure or just relaxing eating good food and watching movies. We are looking for something furnished also spending round $180 to $200 a week
My name is Trevor. I'm 31 years old and work full-time in Blackburn. I'd like to believe that I would be the perfect house mate as I am happy to cook, make sure I clean up after myself and will definitely be punctual with bills etc. I'm happy to share a meal and/or a drink or even a movie/tv series marathon, but also keep to myself at times. I try to keep myself fit by getting to the gym most mornings (yes I said try). I am looking for a place with preferably only 1 female housemate, someone who I can build a friendship with and create a fun and relaxing household. If you think this sounds like you please shoot me a message. Thanks!
Hey! My name is Melita, I'm 22 years old and about to move down to study composing at the University of Melbourne. I am essentially the aloe vera plant of housemates - zero drama. So if you're looking for someone who pays the bills on time but is also a good ear and a solid friend, swing me a message. I love: writing music for film, going to gigs, steamed pork buns, getting lost in books, cheeky beers, new stationary, earl grey tea, midnight maccas runs, people who are unapologetically themselves. (Don't worry I write music electronically, so you won't have to listen to my B grade playing haha). Not too fussed about: country music. I'm looking for a homely, relaxed place to live and make some quality friends, so if you think I'd suit your vibe, please let me know ;)
Hello, guys and girls. We are a young couple in our mid 20's moving over from New Zealand. Bill has been a self employed builder for the last 8 years in NZ and looking at branching out in to the world of project management. Libby is in marketing, she is extremely creative and loves the challenges it can bring. We are both very outgoing and don't like sitting around too much... although you can't beat a trashy movie with wine and a cheese board on the odd Saturday night. We have a very loving dog, Jack, who we will be bringing with us. He is a doberman and is great with people (kids and adults alike), cats, dogs - the lot! A lover to his very core! Other than walking our hound and exploring, we enjoy taking the motorbike out, getting to the gym regularly, good drinks and delicious food (we try to be healthy) and cutting shapes until the sun comes ups. The flights are booked and we are landing Australia side on the 30th of March. Ideally we would love to have a place lined up and locked in - ready to hit the ground running. We are very tidy and considerate people and we are very much looking forward to meeting new people and getting this adventure going.
I am 21 and have recently moved to Melbourne, I'm looking to move out of where I am living now. I currently work in traffic control and at a bar. I'm friendly and clean, like to socialise and make friends but also relax and binge watch tv series.
Exercise and health fanatic! Absolutely love animals - I have a little puppy who is well trained and is an indoor and outdoor dog. I work as a personal trainer. Love camping, hikes, dancing, socialising, reading, photographing, yoga, music and travelling amongst other things. I'm generally quite a neat person, but not OCD about it. Life has its busy moments! Super friendly and bubbly!
G’day everyone, our names are Joel and Alex. The two of us met at Queen’s College and lived there for two years together between 2014-2015. We have both just graduated from our undergraduate degrees, with Alex being recently employed in a full-time urban consulting position and Joel commencing his Masters in Civil Engineering in March. We are both fun loving guys with a great sense of humour, however we are leaving the majority of our party days at college and out of the house. We both lead busy lives but would love to have a nice place to come home to and relax. We are both tidy, clean and organised. Alex’ ideal night is a bottle of cheap red and equally cheap cheese and bickies, whilst Joel's would be having a few beers over a BBQ and watching the cricket. Joel is a down to earth country boy in the big city where as Alex is from the surf coast yet has not touched a surf board in his life. Together we are a great laugh and would happily fit into the existing dynamics of a share house or a team up. We are looking for 2 individual rooms and can afford to pay a max of 250 per week max. As far as length of lease we can range from anywhere between 6-8 months, so perfect for anyone’s house who has friends going overseas, traveling for work or on exchange. Shoot me (Alex) a message if you’re interested in having 2 fun guys fill your rooms. PS. We also come with furniture and appliances (TV, slow cooker, playstation etc.) if need be.
Canadian teacher whose been in Melbourne for six months already! I'm into yoga, hiking and books. Super easy going and sociable, always down for a cup of tea/cider after work. Also I'll do my dishes, this I promise you :)
I am Hayley, I am planning on moving to Melbourne in early Feb and am looking for somewhere to live, I'm happy to keep to myself and understand the importance of space however I do also enjoy being social and having a chat. I am planning on working full time so I won't be home a lot. I keep things tidy and can bring my own furniture if required. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi, I'm Julie, coming to Melbourne from France in order to study Mechanical Engineering at Swinburne as an exchange student, and I would like to find somewhere to call home :) I will be studying at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus so I'm looking for a room near Lilydale or Alamein railway line, or tram line 16,70 or 75, or bus route 624 or even better within walking distance from the campus ! I'm 19 going 20 and I would like to find flatmates about the same age (let's say preferably from 18 to 25 but I'm not very rigid about it). I'm quiet but social and I would like to share time with my flatmates (share meals, enjoy movies, have a cup of tea ... :P) I'm considerate of people's privacy and I clean up after myself. I like to study in common spaces (living room, kitchen ...) so I can see people passing by while studying :P. I do not need a lot of personal space : a small room would do it for me. I do not smoke nor drink. Cheers !
I am the ultraclean kind. Also, I enjoy alone time as well as casual chilling times with roomies. I know how to respect people space and peace. I am from Canada, soooo real polite :p just kiding. I am laid back, and a student, so not so stress in general.
Hi everyone, This is Ali. I teach International Business at RMIT University and also do research. During the last 7 years, I've been living in various share houses with people coming from different backgrounds among different ages and I'm familiar with sharehouse lifestyle. I do exercise regularly, it's been a while I do yoga, Tai Chi, walking and also swimming. I do like cooking and prefer to cook at home and would be happy to share a weekly meal with my future housemates. I prefer to live with people who care about keeping the place clean and I'm happpy to do so. I'm not only looking for a bedroom but also for people who like to communicate in their free time. Please contact me if you think we can get along.
Work full-time, currently living in an apparent by myself, getting a bit sick of it, lease is going month to month so I can move anytime. Good rental history, already own sofa, fridge, chairs, washing machine, coffee table, tv and a bed. I can sell these if they're not needed. I play guitar and sing every day but I am always considerate of others about times about level of noise. I play footy over winter, love watching live music and like a good drink every now and then.
Hi there! I'm an outgoing American, who works in a cafe full time and is planning on being in the city until December. I'm looking to live in a laid back place with a social roomie or two. I love going to the cinema, going for hikes/adventures on days off and a nice glass of wine or two! I love a good chat, but enjoy my personal space as well. Hoping to find a place asap!
I'm an American here for work and holiday. Ive been living and working in Seoul for the better part of the last 4 years. So although I don't currently have a job here yet, I have some decent money in the bank. I have loads of hobbies and interests including music, cooking, tennis, exercising often, books, films, games and the like. Like to live a healthy lifestyle while staying busy creatively and athletically. Love hanging out and having drinks here and there as well. Very open minded, easy to get along with, amicable and unobtrusive.
Hi there! I'm looking for a room in a modern house/apartment in either Clifton Hill, Fitzroy North, Collingwood, Abbotsford or Northcote. I'm a full-time professional working in the public sector. My hours are typically 9 - 5 but I'm usually out after work either training or at the gym. My job can be full-on and my life is generally pretty busy so I'm not looking for a “party house” at all but somewhere where I can come home at the end of a long day and relax. I'm easy-going, social and enjoy meeting new people. When I'm not at work I'm either at jiu-jitsu, the gym, yoga or catching up with friends! I love my life in Melbourne and being positive and active. I’m looking for a modern room in a sharehouse, ideally with mature people (28+), non-smokers. I’m available to move in from 21 January onwards. Please message me if you have a room in these suburbs that you think I might be interested in! I can provide references upon request. Thanks :)
