I have recently finished university and am moving from Melbourne to Canberra to start in a graduate development position with the DoH. Currently looking for accommodation which is preferably furnished, and has space for my car; not too fussy about anything beyond that. I like to maintain a clean living space and am a quiet individual, though I am also happy to socialise. I love to spend my spare time playing any variety of electronic (PC and other platforms), board and card games. When not doing any of the former, you can normally find me reading or catching up on tv-shows etc. Though I am not bringing any of my own pets, I would love to share a house with animals. Feel free to message me if you would like to arrange a phone-call/VOIP conversation.
I’m friendly, clean, considerate and respectful of privacy. I spend the weekdays working hard and the evenings out with friends or relaxing at home with my dog. I’m a courier driver originally from Manchester, England but have been here for nine years now and call it home. I love spending time with decent people, listening to music, playing the drums, guitar or ukulele and having a drink and a laugh.
I will be moving to Canberra in January to start post-graduate medicine at ANU. I have lived in share houses in Sydney's Inner West for almost 4 years, and have lived with a huge range of people. I have an little indoor cat named Eva, and we are looking for a relaxed place somewhere close to ANU or the Canberra Hospital to share with clean but relaxed individuals!
Hi I'm Chrissy! I'm moving up to Canberra from Melbourne for a graduate position in the APS and looking for a share house. I have lived in share houses for the past 4 years, so I understand different house dynamics, rules and boundaries. I am a clean and respectful housemate, who is happy to hang out and chat, or do my own thing. I'm looking to move late January/early February. I spend my down time usually binging televisions and podcasts, reading books, and baking (which I love to share!). I am looking forward to meeting new people and exploring Canberra and its surrounds.
I'm an IT professional who just started a job located in Civic and I'd like to live somewhere close enough to walk/ride in to work. I need off-street parking for my car, preferably a garage. Avid PC gamer, definitely down to play some games if that's your thing, but it does mean I'll need space for a desk either in a reasonably sized bedroom or in a shared space. Looking for somewhere stable that I can settle into long-term.
Hi there, My name is Daniel and I am a 25 year old young professional moving to Canberra from Brisbane on 20th January 2018 for a new job. I am easy to live with as I am respectful of other housemates, clean, well organised, generally quiet but open to socialise with flatmates. I am an avid sports fan who plays social sports with friends.
Chloe will be studying IT/Commerce at ANU in 2018 and is a small biz owner. Kye is a cricketer, footy player and cadet who will be undertaking an apprenticeship. Both of us love our personal space but also a drink with friends or a night out. We both cook, work, are very clean, and can supply our own furniture. The alternative is for Chloe to be attending ANU alone, and would be open to enquiries for solely one female.
My name is Mark, I’m starting a new job based in Deakin in professional services from January 15th at the earliest. I’ll be working (Mon-Fri 9-5). I’m originally Irish and I have been living in Sydney for over 10 years. I’m 27 and I’m a chilled house mate who likes to socialise over some nice food and a relaxed drink. I enjoy exercise and going for coffee and brunches.
I'm a friendly person who likes hanging out with others but also enjoys being a bit of a homebody. I'm generally pretty organized and neat. I love playing video games, reading and doing some crafting. I also love pets though I have none myself so I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of a household with animals. I'll be moving up to Canberra in January 2018 from Melbourne to join an APS graduate program so I'll be working full time. I'm looking forward to exploring Canberra but also to catching up on my Netflix queue, I've been so busy this year I have lots to catch up on! I would bring my own bedroom furniture e.g. bed, side table etc. Move in date is flexible, between late January or early February. I would also be willing to consider leases between 6 months and a year.
Hi all! I'm looking to move in somewhere close to ANU, or at least a short cycling distance. Alternatively, I'm happy to branch out and find a house with someone. About me: I'm 27, third year postgrad law. I love going to the gym, cycling, reading, petting dogs on the sidewalk, listening to podcasts and catching up with friends. I also work part time in construction management. Also, I'm a non-smoker. Availability: I am available to move in anytime from now. I'd like to find a room for the long term. I'll be here for at least another 2 years. If you have something available that would suit please let me know!
Single, Active, Roofer as well as running my 9wn small cleaning biz so im hardly home from 630am to 6pm. Also a PT but not currently working as one. I love all sports, play cricket in Summer on sat arvos, CLEAN N TIDY, loves cooking, RESPECTFUL of others space, noise when we need to be quiet. Im a happy cheerful person, witty and love flatmate banter but also enjoy my own time alone so im happy to hermit in my room haha I enjoy a casual drink though im not into partying every weekend like i used back in my 20s, but in saying that i enjoy a social drink when the occasion fits so im by no means a killjoy or str8y 180. My bills, rent and food come before play so i am reliable with homely expenses and chores. But im not your butler or servant. Dont mind cooking a meal for everyone but im not the house chef. Lastly, i have a short haired domestic black cat. She loves people and isnt an anti social feline. Demands attention sometimes and is non destructive. Toilet trained and comes and goes when she feels. Wanna know more just ask.
Hey there I'm Arshia and I'm from Melbourne. I'm a Masters student at ANU looking for a private room for at least the next 6 months. I have a pretty laid back personality and I like living in a clean and tidy place so I will happily contribute to chores to make sure it stays that way! I'm a social person who loves the occasional night out (or in), but as I work part-time and study full-time, I also enjoy having some down-time and privacy. Look forward to hearing from you!
Hi Flatmates! My name is Jack (29 yo) and I’ve recently relocated from Perth to the capital. I spend my time between working in the Aviation Security area and volunteering with the ACT State Emergency Service (Rivers Unit). While these take up a fair chunk of my time, I enjoy getting outdoors and am keen to make the most of what Canberra has to offer. I also enjoy cooking (and all things food/eating related haha). I’m clean and tidy and love to hang out, but understand the dynamics of a shared space and am conscious of this. I’m looking to move into an unfurnished bedroom before the 12th of January. Hope to hear from you soon, JD
Hi hi everyone! I'm Millie, I'm 22, have just finished up my undergrad at Monash in Melbourne, but I'm from Tassie originally. I am currently working the Xmas period in retail but plan on moving to Canberra sometime in January before starting a grad job in the public service in Feb. I'm a tidy housemate, and have done the sharehouse thing for a few years now! I've spent some time cleaning up after other housemates so I definitely have an appreciation for tidiness (but not OCD) and I'm very respectful of other people, especially in the shared spaces. I am a relatively quiet person and just love to relax after a day at work with or without a wine, watching an episode of whatever is on or reading a book. I do love to occasionally have some friends over and light some candles with the record player on in the corner, but I'll always give my flatmates a heads up and it rarely turns into anything rowdy! On my days off I love to take a trip to the beach to go surfing or venture into the mountains for a nice long day hike. My last housemate had to hide the peanut butter from me, so that may be one of my downfalls... It's just so yummy and self-control can be pretty absent some days. I'm coming up to Canberra January 6th - 10th to do a little scouting and inspect properties and meet people, so if anyone has a spare room and would like to meet, shoot me a message! I then have the one-way ticket booked for Jan 25th, but I'm happy to start paying rent at any point in January. P.s. I don't have any pets but absolutely don't mind if you do!!!
I'm an easy-gong individual that is organised and clean, I work part-time at the Canberra hospital in haematology while i finish studying my masters at UC. I am not an overly outgoing individual but probably one of the easier to get along with.
Law graduate heading over from Melbourne to start in one of the APS Graduate programs in Canberra. I am a clean, respectful and environmentally conscious person who knows how to balance my downtime with a good wine and cheese night :D
I’m introvert. I will keep to myself and keep quiet. For 12-14 hours of the day away at work and the other 8-10 hours I’m asleep. I use at maximum 1 shelf in a pantry, 1/2 a shelf in the fridge and 1/2 a shelf of space in the freezer. Worst part about me is that I come with 2 cars, if street parking is available then that will suffice! I’ve been living in Canberra for 15 years, I play chess for fun and for work I’m a taxi driver.
Hey! I'm Steve and I'm moving to Canberra to start a grad job in the public sector. I'm a laid back and highly sociable person (while being mindful of personal space) so would love to find a flatmate that is down for nights of UberEats, movies and Cards Against Humanity. When not working I enjoy eating burgers, drinking old fashioneds, and heading down to the gym to train for and coach in powerlifting. Bonus points if you enjoy bad dad jokes as much as I do!
Hello! I'm a public servant looking to move as my current lease is up. A little about me: I work regular full-time hours. When not working, I enjoy cooking, cycling, hiking, swimming and hanging out over a tea or beer. I am a friendly, easy-going housemate, hoping to live with like-minded people. No bedroom ghosts please :) However, I also value personal space and do enjoy my down time. I also value tidy shared living areas and shared cleaning. I won't go crazy over a dirty breakfast bowl, it's more the idea of having respect for shared living spaces. Any questions, and I'm happy to chat! Cheers, Grace
Hi there, I'm moving to Canberra in Feb 2018 for a new role in public sector. I'm originally from Sydney and am looking for a place for 6 months. I'm pretty outgoing but like my down time too. I am super clean and am looking for someone who is too! Preferably would like to share with one other person - happy to have a wine after work! I love sports and reading crim fic novels. In my free time I like to chill with friends, try new cafes/restaurants and workout/go for walks. I'm currently in Sydney but happy to meet over Skype and go from there :)
Hello! My name is V, I'm 30 and recently returned to Canberra after working overseas. I work full time in the public service, love to travel and I'm learning Bahasa Indonesia after work. I'm tidy, reliable, cook rarely but read a lot of cookbooks and frequently flick through the ALDI catalogue for wine related special busy. I'm looking for a share house/apartment that has a good vibe with professionals around the same age.
