Professional female, I've been renting for four years but my lease is ending shortly. Looking anywhere around the Canberra Area. I work in real estate 6 days a week, I'm not home very much but when I am at home I do enjoy relaxing and unwinding.
Hi my name is Cassandra(Cassie) and I'm a 27 year non smoker. I work full time in admin and enjoy spending my spare time in the gym or exercising outside. I live a pretty quiet lifestyle but don't mind the occasional wine or beer. I consider myself a pretty good cook and I make a pretty good cheese cake too :) I do have cats that are litter trained and used to being inside.
I work for Telstra so get some benefits there. Am organised in terms of automating the house bills, rent and all that jazz.. Have all (good) furniture required of the house. For fun I do stuff with mates, PC or board games, gym, pub, restaurants! amongst other things. I am from Vic originally but moved to ACT area about 5 years ago.
I'm 34, work full-time in medical admin; and I'll be commencing part-time study next year. I'm a friendly person and happy to have a chat but I'm quiet most of the time and appreciate my space. I'm more than happy to pull my weight and do housework. I'm respectful of others and their property. In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, reading books and going for walks/bike rides. I'm reliable, clean and tidy and a non-smoker.
I am a mature public servant, relocating from Brisbane to Canberra. I am quiet, very clean, neat and tidy, and am very respectful of people's properties and personal space so I expect the same courtesy. I am a pretty good cook and a not so bad baker ( when I'm in the mood). I always tend to cook far too much for one person so I love sharing what I cook with people around me. I love to read and to travel (I try to go somewhere every year, even if it's to another part of Australia that I haven't been to). I also engage in amateur photography. I have a very healthy sense of humour and am mildly sociable. I tend to do my own thing but I am not averse to a good conversation.
I'm clean, love cooking, enjoy socialising but easily self amused, I have 4 year old boy/girl twins that are with me 86% of time (dads every second weekend), I own my own Beaty salon in Gowrie, recently parted with my 2 year partner, I am a nice person & easily get along with anyone. I am looking for 2 rooms for the 3 of us.
I've just completed my studies in Melbourne and am moving to Canberra to start my career as a speech pathologist. I have a little dog (mini foxy x Maltese) so am looking for a place with an enclosed backyard. I have everything needed to furnish a house. I'm easy going and adaptable. Open to communication about issues. I am originally from Tassie and love doing things outside and keeping busy - I'm hoping to take up kayaking in Canberra!
Professional male, fulltime worker, mid 30s, who is looking to house share or rent a small property. As a single parent with two young children, I will have my daughter’s stay with me on a weekly on-off basis so need a home to accommodate them as well as me. Both my daughters are respectful children and I am happy for them to stay in the same room as me during their time with me. A also have a 3 year old dog who is very friendly. Just throw the ball and she will be your best friend Please get in contact if you think you have a property or room that is right for me!
Hi there! Looking out for a nice place to live in Canberra towards the end of the year or start of next year. I'll be starting a new job at the Treasury as a policy analyst in February. The house ideally needs to be semi or fully furnished with a parking spot for my car (can be off-street). The room must be well-lit, and can be furnished or unfurnished. I'm a positive, friendly and honest person. I like reading, travelling, and yoga, and also like to keep active by swimming and running. I'd also like to get into cycling, and I'm looking forward to some trips to the snow! My main interests are political economics and international development. I'm quite an easy-going person to live with, and I like to keep things clean and tidy. My partner is living in Adelaide and would occasionally come and visit every 1-2 months on the weekend, so I need to live with housemates who are relaxed in that regard. We don't tend to hang around the house anyway. I'm looking for housemates who I can occasionally spend time with in the evenings and on the weekends. Ideally, my housemates would enjoy having a good chat about the world, and have a good sense of humour. Cleanliness is a must. Please shoot me an e-mail if you have something suitable.
Alicia: I am relaxed but do love to chat after a day's work, I am a housemate who is friendly and easygoing at the same time. I will respect your privacy but hope to be on friendly terms with my housemates. I am enthusiastic about good coffee, bike riding, seeing live music and reading. I also have a partner, Tom, who will be visiting for a bit and then living with me after I move to Canberra. He also loves coffee and bike riding and can play the guitar quite well. Tom loves any beer that is brown/strong and purchasing LPs for his record player. He is a vegetarian, but i'm not and will eat almost anything. We will both be full-time professionals who want to make the most of our time in Canberra with weekend trips and socialising. Both of us have been living with 3 other flatmates in Melbourne, with a cleaning roster that we stick to.
I'm 26, male and a chartered accountant that also enjoys music and socialising. I own a gym in Fyshwick and compete in powerlifting. I'm easy to get along with, rarely home during the week as my job and gym take up a lot of my time. Pretty tidy and live simply.
My name is Navina and I've recently moved from Sydney to Canberra and work full-time in Acton. I am a relaxed person, clean and tidy, sociable, enjoy a glass of wine of two but also respect other people's personal space. I'm very easy to get along with and am a lover of animals, nature, road trips and just chilling out with friends. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hey guys, my name is Riley. I am moving down to Canberra from QLD, to work full-time with the APS. I consider myself a clean, easy-going and respectful person who is happy to socialise and spend time by myself, as well. I can pay rent or bond in advance.
I am a young professional. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I do a lot of exercise in my free time and I enjoy listening to music. I am accommodating and relaxed. I keep the house tidy. Every few weeks I will bring a group of friends around for a taco and board game night.
Hello! Moving down from Brisbane in early January to start a new APS job/ study part-time at ANU. Ideally looking for a house that is more than a financial transaction. Someone/People to hang out and explore Town with etc. But also totally understand those people who want to respectively sit in silence in their own rooms reading Harry Potter with a face masque. In terms of living together, I have lived in pretty much every type of share house situation now. So sharing chores, communal cleaning and respect are ingrained values. I am flexible on: - Start Date, - Length of Stay, - Room Type, - Bathroom situation and - Suburb. Let me know if you have any questions! Will/
Am very easy going and easy to get along with. Enjoy a good glass of wine with dinner after work. I love watching sport of any kind that is on. Am very social but can respect people's space and privacy when needed.
I'm a quiet, private professional person looking to get settled in Canberra before I find my own place. I go to bed early and get up early most days for a run or a bike ride. I'm moving from Darwin to start work in Canberra on January 16. My party days are behind me, but I like good conversation.
I keep my room tidy and clean up after myself in shared areas. I keep to myself a lot and won't throw any wild parties. I come with a giant fluff ball cat who is litter box trained and only scratches approved furniture.
I am a 25yr old medical student starting placement at the Canberra Hospital next year. I am looking for a place southside with some friendly people to share with. I am generally kept very busy with study but I love having someone to chat to when I get home. I would preferably like to have my own space with my own bathroom but I will be flexible if I find the right place. In my spare time I enjoy fitness, movies and visiting my friends and family.
looking for a place to stay for a year or longer sooner rather than later if possible recently finished school where I boarded
Hi my name is Michele (Italian for Michael!) and I will be moving to Canberra in January from Melbourne to commence a Graduate Program within the APS. I am an easygoing, friendly, and considerate person who respects privacy. I enjoy chats about politics, science, and global affairs. I enjoy playing sport, especially soccer. Finding a running or swimming partner would be a bonus! I am a Seinfeld and X-Files nerd so I look forward to discussing how George and Scully are two of the best characters in TV. In terms of contributing furniture, I would have a couch/sofa set, tv and some other items if needed. I am looking to live with 1 or 2 housemates if possible, or to also start a teamup for anyone else willing to start a new sharehouse. I am looking to move towards the end of January 2017.
I am moving to Canberra in late January/early February from Melbourne to commence an APS graduate program on the 6th February. I am looking to move into a share house with other people in their mid 20s. As I am new to Canberra it would be great to live with people I get on with socially as well and don't just keep to themselves. It would be bonus if the people I live with enjoy/tolerate my dad jokes and dry sense of humour. I would like a house that is kept clean in common areas, but I would say I am fairly easy going and I'm not going to yell at you if you haven't got around to doing the dishes yet (as long as you are going do them eventually) or your room isn't spotless. I certainly do not mind a party (preferably at someone else's house) or just a casual sunday drink, but it's sometimes also great to spend a Saturday night chilling on the couch and watching a movie. I would love to cook and share a meal with my housemates once in a while as well. I don't really have many hobbies, I love true crime podcasts and watching tv shows, going for walks and going to the gym. I've been studying for 5 years so maybe I will find some new hobbies now I am free haha. I would like to live in the inner/suburban north but I am open to other areas as long as it isn't too far by bus/car to work in the (north side) city centre. I am hoping to pay $200 a week (or less), but again I am open to up to $250 if the place and people are right. I would also prefer to live in a house/townhouse as opposed to an apartment, as I'd prefer having an outdoor area (even if it is small). Please feel free to message me to ask me anything :)
I'm an APS grad and my girlfriend and I are both good cooks, love movie nights and drinking tea. We are relatively quiet and neat but enjoying sharing meals with our housemates. We have both lived out of home before and bring a lot of furniture and appliances to our next household. I am originally from Launceston and we are making the move from melbourne for work. Our hobbies include gaming, yoga, gardening, baking and searching for the best Japanese food in town.
I am a law graduate from Melbourne and I'm moving to Canberra In late January to commence a full time APS graduate program. I'm hoping to be able to move in with some fellow graduates or people in their early to mid twenties but I'm pretty flexible. I'm an easy going and sociable guy and given that I'll be new in Canberra and keen to meet new people, I'd love to live with outgoing people who enjoy raving parties as well as laid back Sunday sessions or group dinners every once in a while. I'll be working full time so I won't be home much but I can cook and I pride myself on my tidiness. I'll also have a car with me which I'd be more than happy to share to make life easier. In terms of hobbies I really enjoy skiing and rugby league and, as a native Queenslander, you'll find me completely decked out in maroons gear during the state of origin season! I also enjoy the gym and the outdoors. Due to my workplace being in Barton, I'm hoping to secure a property on the Southside preferably around Kingston or Griffith. Ideally I'd like to spend $250 per week, however if the property/people are top notch then I'd be happy to increase up $280-300 per week. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate, and am looking for accommodation starting in early January. I am moving to Canberra from Brisbane on the 7th of January, though I am flexible, and more than happy to join a lease prior. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
I'm looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay in the ACT, because I love living around Canberra. I work as a translator, and although I am friendly, I am also introverted and I mostly keep to myself. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games and reading. I'm not naturally tidy, but I don't like filth, so I may leave things lying around sometimes but otherwise I keep things clean.
Hi! I am 25, single and looking for somewhere to live in Canberra. I've been renting for the past four years in Canberra but my lease is ending shortly. I work 7am - 4pm, five days a week and when I am at home I enjoy relaxing and unwinding. I am away most weekends with sporting commitments.
Hi, Just looking for a place in Queanbeyan. I'm a socialable and easy going person. I'd like to live with someone who I could hang out with and have a couple of drinks with at the end of the day but I'm fine living with someone who just likes to do their own thing. I do play guitar but will absolutely be respectful of the noise levels. Apart from that, I'm just looking to a put a roof over my head and meet new people.
I am a friendly and adventurous person who prefers quiet Friday nights at home. I like to keep spaces, especially common areas, clean and presentable. I am respectful of others' privacy, the way I like mine to be treated, but am also up for chats over dinner and hanging out. I'm also a big dog lover, having 3 of my own (but they won't be moving with me). I'll be moving from Sydney to Canberra for work in 2017, so it'll definitely be an experience moving away from home. I love being out in nature, hiking and exploring new places. I have a huge soft spot for food, so I like trying out new and different cafes. I also enjoy spending time with friends and getting to know people. In my own time, I like to write, read, play music, and watch TV shows :)
Moving down to Canberra from Sydney, looking forward to starting my new career in February. Looking for a share house with other social professionals who value privacy but also know how to have a good time! Please shoot me a message for more information :). (Looking to move in early February or very late January for unfurnished bedrooms)
I am a mature IT contractor working for health in Woden Canberra. I fly in on Mondays and Fly out Fridays so you will have the place to yourself on the weekends. I am easy going, clean and quite and need a place to sleep 4 nights a week and to leave some of my gear. I have a contract to the end of the financial year and expect it to be renewed yearly
I am a very relaxed, yet adventurous, respectful young bloke. I am a professional working a typical 9-5, would love to live with people with similar schedules. In my spare time I like to play team sports, swim, bike ride, hike and get around community events. In previous share houses I have built great personal relationships with my housemates and have enjoyed many shared activities, dinners, board games, night out together etc. I am moving from interstate so would really like to find a home with a house fam that I can enjoy rather than just a building I sleep in.
Hello! I'm a recent graduate from Melbourne and will be moving to Canberra between mid to late Jan for a job. I am very easy going and will respect your personal space. I enjoy spending time by myself but am happy to hang out. What I'm looking for: - private bedroom - private bathroom (or shared with one other person) - quiet, tidy and clean place - easy access to public transport - reasonable internet - shared living areas
Aidan and I are both young adults looking to move out of home. Both of us are tidy and able to cook and clean. Aidan will be starting university at UC in 2017 and I have a part-time job in Tuggeranong. We have our own personal furniture (bed, bookcase, set of draws etc.) but can pitch in to buy things such as cooking utensils and other furniture if need be. In our spare time we (mostly Aidan) play video/computer games, read, and other quiet things. We are also interested in camping, indoor rock climbing, and hiking etc. We are looking to move out around the beginning of March, or possibly sooner, depending on how things turn out.
