Ahoy potential future flatmates! I'm making the move to Melbourne in the first week of January, and need to find a fabulous place to call home. I live the 9-5 life, working in marketing. In my spare time, I like to attend dance classes, eat delicious food, watch movies, go for walks and find new ways to keep my mind and body healthy and happy. I would love to live with friendly people, willing to share stories about their days over thai takeaway and relatively cheap wine.. Although not essential, some of my preferences include: - A place with a yard (so I can hula hoop, and you can laugh because I often hit myself in the face) - A room big enough for a double bed, bookshelf, mirror thing with drawers, and maybe even a little desk for my sewing machine. Oh and natural light! - A pet would be cool. I don't discriminate when it comes to cats vs dogs. Cats are so therapeutic and and dogs are just the bloody best fun, so either would be cool. Willing to help pick up poop! - I feel like I'm asking for a lot now, but if one of my housemates could play the guitar, that would be the absolute best cherry on top, because I love being surrounded by music!! Hit me up if you would like any more information!
I am a professional female who is very considerate, neat, clean, polite and friendly housemate. I always treat the house I am staying and renting like my own house, keeping it clean, tidy and lovely. I just recently graduated from Melbourne University and will work full-time at Austin. I am originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, but have stayed in Australia for 7 years. I have been living in a share house in the past 4 years in Melbourne. I enjoy listening to music, reading, studying and catching up with friends over brunch. I enjoy socialising with my housemates and at the same time respect their privacy and personal spaces. I do not like party, never smoke and do not have pet. I prefer to stay with female housemates, require carpark and preferred own bathroom.
Hey i'm Sam, I'm a Kiwi from Auckland and have just moved to Melbourne to live. I work as an Architect and am excited to explore and add to this incredible city. Would like to join a social flat of good people who are active and are getting amongst it. I packed my possessions up into two suitcases and a box for my push bike and jumped the ditch. I am an easy going guy and have been flatting in Auckland for the past 6yrs with some great people who have become friends. I like to shoot hoops, kick a ball around, have drinks and go to bars/gigs with friends. I also like to garden a bit and do home projects/build stuff. Love music (missing my record collection) and also a good tv series like The Wire for example. I like to cook (Vegetarian) and am very clean and tidy. Looking for a room for the start of 2018 so I don't have to sleep on my sister's couch.
I'm a graphic designer and I run my own freelance design company. I work from home most days and also on the road a fair bit to meet clients. I'm looking for a room to rent in a suburb not too far out with people who are friendly and considerate and wouldn't mind sharing with a very cute and friendly dog. I'm a pretty social person, and love catching up with mates for dinner and drinks on the weekends or go for bike rides. I'll describe myself as easy going and clean and like to to maintain the shared living environment in a clean and hygienic state. I have lived in share houses for many years so I know how to be a decent and considerate housemate. I also have a 5 year old Japanese Spitz who is completely house trained. He doesn't chew except his own toys, and he's very laid back and friendly and doesn't bark much at all. He is great with cats and other small dogs, but is scared of big or aggressive dogs. But he will pretty much follow you everywhere and loves food!
25 year old Kiwi moving to Melbourne in January for a role at a Market Research agency. I won't know anyone in Melb outside of work colleagues, so keen to live with a few sociable flatmates (who are also tidy!). I'm a pretty chilled out guy, open-minded, and even though I sometimes keep to myself I reckon I can get along without just about anyone (especially if it’s over a beverage or two). I play tennis/squash/touch rugby/indoor football, I’ve travelled a bit and always keen to do more, and I am a fan of good TV/cinema. Looking to move in between January 10-20th, ideally into a furnished room but can work around this. Get in touch if you think I'd be a good fit.
Hello! I am an Analytics Consultant and recently moved to Melbourne. I am from India and am now looking for a place here to call home. As much I love getting out, I also enjoy days that are all about chilling at home and just going with the flow. I like to keep things simple and neat and am currently obsessing over Japanese food and swimming while trying to live a good life.
I am a young professional who commutes to/from Geelong on weekdays. I have been living in Prahran for the last year & a half, and have loved it. I am however looking for some change, so am exploring other suburbs & living with flatmates.
I am currently on 1 year working holiday visa from Wales. I have lived in the UK, Canada and USA so am well versed in living with a variety of different people. I also spent 3 years living in shared houses at university. I am currently staying at my girlfriend's house in Glen Iris and hope to move into my own place sooner rather than later. I am interviewing for full time work in the media industry as we speak, so hopefully I will be out the house most of the day. I am someone who loves sports, such as snowboarding, football and rugby. I am incredibly tidy and love to cook and clean. I am not a party animal but I do enjoy going to nice bars for a few drinks now and again. I am really excited to live and work in Melbourne and look forward to hearing from you if we sound like a good match. Thank you
Hey guys...I have been leaving with my girlfriend for the last 3 years but unfortunately we have recently separated so I am looking for a share house to low my cost of leaving and regroup myself. I am a full time marketing professional with a 9 to 5 job. I am 31 years old, easy going, sociable clean and tidy guy. I am also very much into sports and fitness. I play soccer, tennis and go gym but I also enjoy having a beer or two and going out on the weekends. I am originally from Brazil but have been leaving here in Melbourne for 5 years now. I am a permanent resident. Due to my current lease agreement I would have to give 28 days notice before moving out from my place. If everything works out I would be looking at moving in some time next month, most likely towards the end of the month. Cheers. Thiago
Hello! I'm Looking for a rooms in a sharehouse that will be closer to work, or cycling distance. Looking to move mid Jan. I'm super easy-going, clean and a workaholic. I'm from a farm originally and lived in Melbs the last 4 years. I enjoy cooking, (into meal-prep) watching Netflix and going into the CBD for coffee and bar crawls. Next year going to study Nutrition at Deakin part time (I'll still work full time). If you would like to catch up for coffee or a wine, please don't hesitate to message me! Thanks, Chloe
I'm moving to Melbourne in early to mid January for work. I'm leaving the safety of my Brisbane life so I'm looking for roommates to adopt me into their circle or to start up a place with someone in the same position. My friends describe me as the grandma of the group. I get way too invested in conspiracy theories and crime shows. I'm a tea and coffee fanatic and seeing a dog walk by is literally the highlight of my day. I went clubbing once and was only there for 20 minutes which is why I'm always the on call designated driver. Ideally I would like to have roommates that makes the place feel like home, are easy going and considerate as I am the same.
My name's Robert, I'm 24, I work full time as a chemical engineer in the CBD. I've moved over from Adelaide and I'm currently living in Carlton in a short term place and would love to find a long term place in the area. I'm tidy and very easy going and respectful but happy to be sociable. Interests include: cycling around exploring Melbourne, music, science, netflix, Imax movies and going for walks to local places.
Im a 25 year old primary school teacher who just moved to melbourne from Chile! Im clean, respectful, love to cook and share some wine/beers. I like to socialize and also enjoy some chill/quiet time at home. I'm currently working in a restaurant in Richmond most afternoons and nights.
Born and bred in Melbourne and work in the CBD in Recruitment. Easy going, loves a chat and a bit of banter. Clean, respectful, reliable and friendly. I enjoy socialising, traveling and exercising. Happy to go with the flow. non smoker.
+ I work full time as a travel agent (need less to say I love travel and adventure) + I'm all about tidiness and good feng shui. I keep myself occupied and busy, I won't ever be in your hair (unless you want me to be in that case I love to be social too) + I've lived with my 2 sisters my whole life so although I do love the company of living with others, I know all about respecting personal bubbles and boundaries too :) + I own a car and a motorcycle so a garage or backyard is preferred to park that bad boy in.
Hi I'm Sanj. I'm a 26 year old gal working for a big bank (sorry, don't hold it against me!). I enjoy binge watching netflix, tracksuit pants, talking hypotheticals, coffee, gin, wine and chilling with good friends. Originally from Sydney, I moved to Melbs early 2016. Like to get out and about most weekends but also enjoy some housemate chats/hangs. I'm clean, easy going and reliable. Keen for a flat mate who's like minded, positive and doesnt sweat the small stuff.
26 yo girl who is going to spend this year in Australia. I studied language in university and speak English and intermediate Spanish. Plans for this year are to make money and live like a local in Melbourne for 10-11 months, meet as many locals and people from different cultures as possible, become a better version of me and then travel the rest of Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia for several months. I enjoy movies, photography, dancing, books, kitesurfing annnd camping. Love plants and animals, especially dogs. I value a peaceful home environment where housemates are careful to respect each other, but like a chat and socializing, as well. I try to keep things clean but not in an obsessive way. Very meticulous about paying the rent on time.
Hi Guys. We are a small family of 3 with a well behaved daughter of 4 years old, we have recently who have recently moved to Australia having spent 7 months in Sydney and we are now in Melbourne! I have signed a contract for a job in Notting Hill and am undergoing the visa process at the moment so I am legally able to work. As I am not allowed to work until I get my visa, we are loathed to rush into a full blown rental property straight away and I am looking at various "options" to keep us accommodated until we are in a position to enter into a more permanent arrangement. A Granny Flat arrangement would be our best solution, however we would certainly look into other options. I am Ex British Military and am used to keeping places spic and span, my wife is from the Philippines and keeps a well organised house and our daughter Jessie May is a well behaved young lady full of fun! We are used to sharing a double bed at the moment until we get ourselves sorted out! I am happy to answer any questions that you might have and have a number of references should you need to contact them, I can also provide you with our police clearances for your information. Best REgards Mike, Joyette and Jessie May.
Hi, I'm Steph a 23 year old physiotherapist working at the Austin Hospital. I will be working full time 40 hours a week, some weekends and some evenings. I am a pretty active person who loves netball and the gym. I am mature and respectful but also social don't mind a quiet drink and a yarn. I am a mature and respectful person who likes to stay active with an avid joy of netball and the gym. I enjoy a social meal and drink but likewise I'm partial to keeping to myself. I am looking for a place where I can be a housemate not just rent a room and being that I'm still relatively new to Melbourne, moving from Canberra I am keen to meet new people and would love if my housemates could help me out with that.
I’m a go with the flow kind of guy. I can cook, I clean and I do my part to help out. I understand that living with someone is more about how the people get along than the actual living space itself. That said, I’m not a part animal. I’m just looking for a nice, calm place to live and room mates that are after the same thing.
I've had enough of Sydney for now so I'm moving to Melbourne, but where to move to. I'm Pip, a 28 yr old media professional. In Sydney, I've been working in TV production and I'm looking to continue that work down in Melbourne. I mostly work in sport so moving to the sports capital of Australia makes a lot of sense. I also work as a florist occasionally on weekends, because sport and flowers go so well together. I like to spend my weekends being social and watching sport. I like watching my swans dominate and also keen to take up playing hockey again. When I'm home I like cooking, doing some gardening and chilling out on the sofa watching tele. I've run a share house before, so I'm familiar with household etiquette. I'm respectful of space and property and always tidy. As I'll be new to the city I'm looking for flatmates that could potentially turn into friends, but no pressure. I'm interested in a couple of housing options, with the right person I'm happy to set up a new house, but if the perfect house already exists I'll happily move in. Also if you have a dog, I'm a dog lover and will shower your pooch with plenty of love. Ideally I'm hoping to move late January. I'll be down in Melbourne for the whole month of January so I've got plenty of looking time.
Hi! I have recently secured myself a job in the city and will be moving down to start in the New Year. I am a passionate archaeology/history student and will be moving from Newcastle to start my career in this field. I am easy going, tidy, mature, friendly, respectful of space and enjoy drinking wine and exploring the city for awesome hangouts and food places in my free time. I would enjoy sharing the occasional meal and a catch up with my new housemates.
