I’m a (36-F) PhD student in computer music from the US. I build synthesizers, perform, and write a lot of code. I’ll be in Brisbane for a year to do dissertation research at QCGU. I generally prefer being outdoors to indoors if I’m not working. I like to garden, I’m both a dog and cat person, and strive for a minimalist life style (clutter free). I have fairly strict eating habits (vegetarian, gluten and dairy free), but I don’t impose my diet on others. Would be happy to live in a mixed-gender household, and open to locals or other international students. I’ll spend most of my days at school. I like to have a quiet space at home for recharging, but happy to visit and host guests occasionally. I enjoy going to shows (music, art, theater) as well as hiking and exploring. Since I've just moved here in only 2 suitcases, and trying to keep things simple, I'm looking for a furnished bedroom. Thanks! :)
Hi guys! I´m Joanna and just moved to Brisbane. I was living in shared appartments basically my whole life and already miss it, so I really want to share my new home with cool and nice people, who can show me around the city (or we can go explore together). I´m easy going, like to go out, like to meet friends, but also enjoy Netflix and lying in bed all day.
Positive, respectful & independent future housemate. I'm into music, having a laugh, a cheeky bev or 4, fashion and food. I've rented both by myself and with others, so i have a sparkling record and experience. I'm told i'm wise beyond my years and lots of fun to be around. I'll pretty much fit in with anyone, but would love to find "my people" in this big beautiful city. I'm studying Media & Communication at QUT KG and work at Nightlife Music in Milton. I'm hoping to bring smiles, recipes & warmth to my next home, get in contact if you have a me shaped hole in your home dynamic.
I’m a non-smoking, no-pets, no kids, middle-aged and young-at-heart, Canadian/Australian female, tidy, responsible, friendly/sociable yet also respectful of others’ living space. I've lived in a lot of sharehouses in multiple countries and value easy-going, open communication. I'm a long-term Brisbane resident who's relocated back from Melbourne. Have worked professionally in the public and corporate sectors in QLD and overseas - currently on break from my part-time Master of Environment studies. My interests include yoga, swimming, cooking healthy meals, easy cycling/hiking, arthouse films, sustainability and community volunteering. Seeking a non-smoking, pet-free household to share with 1 or 2 people (couples OK). Unfortunately although I love dogs and cats, I'm allergic to both. I have a car so would need either on-street parking or parking spot, if available. Prefer a relatively quiet household but I'm up for friendly chats, sharing an occasional meal/cuppa with housemates or watching TV (e.g. news, docco or The Simpsons). I don’t drink alcohol but am fine with my flatmates having the occasional drink. Move-in date flexible. References available.
Hi All, My name is Reece, I'm 27 and looking for a new place in Brisbane. I just finished living in London for 2 years and moving back to Brisbane. At the moment I'm most likely looking for shorter term accommodation as I'm also still looking for work. However for the moment just being close to some kind of public transport will be fine. I've also got enough savings to pay rent until starting work. I like going to see concerts, hanging with friends and hiking in the outside world and generally playing games/binge watching shows when I'm home. I've been living in shared accom for the last 2.5 years so I'm used to keeping tiding and living with a group of people. Preferably looking for something furnished or just with a bed at minimum and internet connection would be great too! Move in date also flexible Cheers!
Looking ahead to see what is available at the end of July. Riding distance to QUT is a must. Preferably furnished as I will be staying 7 months maximum. I hope to find a place, quiet and relaxing to return to after a long day of study or work. I keep myself rather busy but will always be up for a chat when hanging out at home. I'm easy to get along with and appreciate a clean home. If you think I'd be a good fit, send a message !
Hi there, My name is Samantha and I’m looking for a double room in a friendly share-house in the Woolloongaba or Paddington area. I’m a laid back person who works as a graphic designer for film and TV industry. In my spare time I meet up with friends to see a comedy and other gigs (apparently my own jokes are not funny enough!) or organise myself a day trip along the coast. I like to socialize and share a drink or two but I also respect others’ privacy. If you think we could match, please drop me a message! Best, Sam
Hey there! I'm a full-time student and a part-time worker. Prefer a home than a house. Looking to move IMMEDIATELY or as soon as possible! I'm very sociable and as curious about different cultures and backgrounds as i am respectful. I prefer to live with mentally mature and stable people. (Please!) And no, that does not translate to boring and dull people. Don't get me wrong, i like to have fun and love to joke around when appropriate. Heck, i might even be one of the quirkiest people you'll ever come across. Well, enough about that, moving on to more of my wonderful qualities. (Just kidding) The ideal housemate when it comes to privacy, cleaning up after myself and keeping noise to a minimum. I'm into hiking, cycling, movies, having a good chat and spirituality among a bunch of other things. Cheers!
I'm a friendly, down to earth girl who likes a good balance of social and quiet time. I'm looking to move out for the first time, so ideally, I would like to find an available room in a home that is already set up. I like many genres of music and often go to gigs, I love being outdoors and active, and I'm a real foodie. I'm a uni graduate who works every day of the week and sometimes weekends - my work is in disability support and hospitality. I don't generally work longer than six hours each day. I'm a clean person and will always do my share of household duties 👍🏼. Looking forward to hearing from you!
So I'm a Full time Plaster and a Part time RAAR (Royal Australian Army Reserve). Ive lived in shared accommodation for 2 years so I know what common courtesy is. My lease is up so I gotta move quick smart. I have have a 2 year old ex racing greyhound that would love to move with me she is well manned loves people and Is 100% Inside trained. But unfortunately Its gonna be hard to find a place to have her, so if need be I will give her up. I'm a Gamer so I will hibernate. Hi there, I'm Chris from Berlin, Germany. I will move to Brisbane in the End of July as an exchange student at the QUT. I'm an open minded and communicative person, so I'm used to cook, having a beer (German stereotype - check! ;), go out dancing, doing sports or just hang out, together with my flatmates. But I also totally understand if someone wants to be alone or just needs some rest. I'm also a clean and tidy person and I like animals, so if you have a pet, this shouldn't be a problem, except it is something creepy! :D Some more about me? For the last 6 years i used to work as an event manager (in full-time) for the cultural department of one district office of Berlin. Next to my job I studied in the evenings for the last 2 years. But now I quitted my job to be able to study abroad at the QUT for one semester and go on traveling afterwards. I saved enough money and I will also try to get a job in bar or sth. similar, so no worries, I will be able to pay my rent easily (even without the job)! If you have any questions, just hit me up! Cheers Chris

Hello! Sarah here, looking for a fabulous housemate to partner up with in a 2 or 3 bedroom (only one housemate though please). I am an active, healthy eater who is looking for someone on the same level. I do enjoy a good netflix session, workout, but mostly enjoy being outdoors on the trails hiking. I work full time, am easy going and neat and tidy. let me know if you are up for a quick chat! Sarah
I'm a fun 20 year old, I love to socialise but also love to have my quiet time. I'm very clean and respectful of others. I'm currently working on Fraser Island but am moving to Brisbane mid July where I have a full time job lined up in the city.
Hello, We are a very pleasant couple that have come to Australia to live and enjoy another city. We love cooking and enjoy the company of nice people... I´m a chef and I love cooking, so we would make great dinners with our roomies. Andrea, is a charismatic person and very talkative. We don't smoke and we are very quiet, organized and clean, it´s a primary principle in our relationship.
Looking for a room or to team up for some nice apartments in woolloongabba/kangaroo point area. Would consider bulimba area too. Ideally after places with a pool, underground car spot and air-conditioning. I've lived with many couples and singles before never had a drama and normally become quite close friends during and after. Contact me if you wish to know anything further. Adrian
Boring Disclaimer: 150 per week is my absolute maximum, and it must include bills and internet. I am on Youth Allowance. If you can see this listing, I still need a home :) Basic Requirements: I am looking for a place with easy access to public transport, particularly between QUT Kelvin Grove and the Gabba/Annerley. No pets that shed, it seems to make my allergies worse. No smokers, no 420. Room needs to be mostly unfurnished, and be able to comfortably fit a double bed, desk, and room for clothes storage containers. Better things: I am studying a Master's Degree in Public Health. In my spare time, I go to a weekly D&D session, and also like to hang out with friends and play board games (cooler than Monopoly) . I also love watching stuff on Netflix, or streaming things like Archer, Rick and Morty, American Gods, Brooklyn 99 etc. I can knit and crochet, and sometimes I like to invite friends over to watch things while crafting. Looking for a house where I can hang out with my housemates and have fun, but also have my own space when I need to study. I keep late hours, but try to make sure that I keep the noise down.
Hey, I will study Interior Design at QUT and *surprise* I´m looking for a room with some cool people. I have a lot of experience living in communities. I also would say I´m a sympathetic person which you would have fun. I`m always open for a beer and sports activities. I will arrive on the 12th of July and will leave at the beginning of December. A fully furnished room would be great. So If you have any further question, just connect me I`m looking forward to hearing from you. Chris ;-)
Hi, I will start my PhD at UQ. First time in Australia. Originally from Germany but working in the Netherlands. I am looking forward to meeting new people and finding a nice place to stay. Clean, relaxed and an overall friendly guy. I've got plenty of experience living in shared houses and never had or created a problem. I respect privacy but I am always up for something fun. I like sports (Basketball, Bouldering/Climbing,..) and enjoy the occasional BBQ. Would be great to live with different nationalities (maybe expend my French) but that's just a personal thought. Other than that I am looking for a nice place to come home to after a long day and just relax. Kind regards, Nils
