Hey, Brad here - I'm on the hunt to join a one or two-person sharehouse here in Brisbane! I'm 26 years old, currently working in the media (some interesting stories over dinner can be guaranteed!), and I've been renting alone for the past few years, but I'm ready to get back to meeting new people and creating a warm home with some friendly faces! Some of my personal interests include the round-ball style of football (I've done a few European football trips now), using my two feet to explore new areas of town (Personal record was 40,000 steps in a day in Paris!), and reading books in my spare time (My collection topped out at 150+ for a while there). And while I love interacting with new people and bonding over a good meal or a quiet drink, I'm also big on personal space. Having lived alone for a while, I've enjoyed a very quiet lifestyle for the past few years, and you can guarantee I'm not the kind of loud, obnoxious person who makes sharehousing the opposite of what it should be. Alas, I'd also be looking for housemates who share similar values - people who can easily interact with others, who value coming home to a friendly, relaxed vibe at the end of the day, and enjoy making each other's company. I'm only looking to share with professionals around the ages of 22-30 at this stage, and would like to stay around the inner-city areas of Brisbane, as I enjoy and value walking to work each day (I'd love to find a place no more than an hour's walking distance from the city centre, preferably). This also means I'd be looking for a place to store my car - off-street parking would be the preferred choice, but I'd be open to other options aswell. My moving date is flexible as I'm currently under a rental lease, but I'm looking to break it to return to sharehousing soon. It would be an advantage if there were a 2-4 week lead-in date to moving in, as I can then buy the real estate agents some extra time to find a new tenant for my existing property. Would love to hear from you if you have anything suitable - Unfortunately, I respond to messages on Flatmates only, so this is my best form of communication as opposed to text messaging or calling. I look forward to hearing from you really soon, and hopefully enjoying your company as a brand new flattie! Cheers!
I am friendly and not much of a talker however I do not mind socialising with my housemates. I prioritize cleanliness in the area that I live in and able to cook meals at times. I am looking for a house near UQ where my school term will start during July.
Hi my name is Sarah. I'm a 30 year old female who has just moved from Melbourne to Brisbane for work. I work at University of Queensland full time at St Lucia and am looking to live with other full time professionals around my age who live close to this area. I'm looking for fun, happy housemates who like to have a laugh and have a wine. Not looking to live with a hermit asI like to feel at home and don't want to feel like I have to tip toe around others. Being new to Brisbane I am really looking for new friends and people who like to be social, active and enjoy beach getaways. I would prefer not to live with couples as in the past I have found this quite Isolating and I'm really hoping to expand my friendship group here (but saying that I won't judge a book by its cover!). I'm not looking for a party house but do enjoy a few drinks on the weekend and the occasional dance and Sunday sesh. I work hard during the week and want to live with others who are clean and respectful but like to have dinner and a laugh together. Im easy to get along with but appreciate the need for personal space. I don't take myself too seriously and looking for others with the same mindset. I'm looking for a new house from mid June onward but have the capacity to move in later if need be.
Hey there, my name is Aayush and I am from India. Pursuing my Master's degree from the University of Queensland. I am a fun and friendly person who loves to meet new people and develop great connects. I am looking for an accommodation anytime from 20th June 2018 onwards, so hit me up if you're interested in sharing an apartment. Cheers!!
I'm a full-time Naturopathy student, I have a small dog and two cats. Looking to move closer to uni (either Gold Coast or Brisbane campus). I'm a very warm, friendly, and easy-going person. I spend most of my time studying, but when I have free time I love to spend time with friends, do yoga, read books, garden, have a nice bath, cook lovely meals, all that sort of stuff. I'm vegan, LGBTQIA+ friendly, a very open-minded person. Don't enjoy conflict, very easy to get along with. Hoping to find some people to live with who just want a nice homely place to live in peace together with.
Hi, I'm Sam. I'm a clean and sociable guy from Tasmania. I like basketball, gaming, watching shows, going to the gym, listening to music and hanging out with friends. I'm looking for an affordable share house with high speed internet and clean housemates to become friends with. Happy to team up with like-minded people, or join an existing share house. I have minimal belongings; car, bed, desk & pc. My ideal place would be walking distance to the supermarket and train station. I can move anytime before July 12th. I plan to do volunteer work while transitioning into either employment or study, depending on what my options are once I find a home.
I’m a fun social person who also respects others personal space, I am employed at UQU & love to travel overseas whenever I can. Always Help with doing general housekeeping, Netflix addict & love a good beer, chat after work 🍺 I travel to Melbourne and Sydney to visit family/friends on some weekends away too. Enjoy meeting new people & can get along with most people easily. No dramas, just looking for somewhere closer to work & friendly fun people to live with.
Hi! I am Harry, I am 23, a student in my fifth year and currently working casually 4-5 days a week in a hospital. I am good humored and very reliable. I love traveling and I have lived in Mexico for study and the UK for work. I can speak Spanish pretty well! I enjoy hanging out with my friends as well as trying to keep myself somewhat fit and healthy!
Hi! I'm Eden, a 20y/o student studying environmental science at UQ. I'm relaxed, easygoing, friendly, good with rent/bills, and like to keep everything reasonably tidy. I love meeting new people and am just looking for a welcoming place filled with lovely people to call home. I'll also mention I'm vegan but I'm 100% happy living with people who have different diet preferences, no worries at all. Feel free to message for a chat if you think I'd be a nice fit, I'd love to come check out your place! Thanks!
I’m a health professional and generally like to keep to myself a lot of the time, especially after work. But equally happy to go out exploring or hang out and watch some Netflix together!
Looking for a unique place to call home. I am 29, from North Queensland and run a garden maintenance business. I am returning to study in September and would like to find a place close to UQ campus in St Lucia. I'm easy going and open minded, respectful and enjoy spending time with others. Open to all walks of life and enjoy being culturally challanged. I can adult and keep tidy and clean up after myself and open to shared meals and beverages with housemates Part of my business involves compost building and ideally I'd like to find a place with a sunny backyard where I can continue to do this as well as establish vege gardens. I seek housemates who are ok with me running my business out of the backyard and are open sustainable living practises. My current lease doesn't end until September however I'd like to find a new home before then so I can focus on my studies but I am in no rush to move and would like to take the time to find a good house with great people to live with. Other things that interest me are music, movies, reading, camping, cheese and crackers 😀 If you think we will enjoy living together feel free to send me a message or give me a call anytime.
I am clean independent and easy going, but also love to have an occasionl drink and chat :) i have a stable part time job and study part time psychology at uq :) I work as a counsellor for young ones, so my profession reflects a lot about me and my values.
MY JOB: I'm a high school teacher and i work full-time and fairly lengthy hours, so weekdays you will hardly see me. I will be out the door by 630am generally and not home until 5-6pm. I am also studying my masters, so that ties me up a fair bit also. I am ver career-focused and am looking to live in a place that's comfortable and with people that understand my commitment to work. I also work on the south side, so anywhere further north than kedron/newmarket area is a no sorry :) MY HOUSE HABITS: I am a clean person, and clean as I go. I prefer order and routine (such as shared responsibilities like cleaning rosters) where everyone plays their part in keeping the place clean and comfortable. I currently only have my bedroom furniture, and a nice kitchen table if you need one. I will also be bringing some kitchen utensils/appliances. I am an INTROVERT when at home - only because all my energy is spent on teenagers all day at work. So i retreat to my room for much needed napping and sanity. I will need a built in robe as teachers have to change clothes every day (trust me the kids notice outfit repeaters...) I do have a car- but do not mind street parking. I would prefer a place with a washing machine and reliable wifi (for work and study). Weekends I am generally home working on projects, studying or watching anime (as I am a huge fan of japanese culture - I travel to japan yearly). ABOUT ME: I moved to brisbane from adelaide at the end of 2016. I have been in a couple of share houses over this time and am seeking a mature, and responsible, yet comfortable place to live. I am vegan and love to cook, so you'll usually see me in the kitchen experimenting with all sorts of foods. I also love the gym and work out regularly - so between work, study, gym, you will hardly see me. I am friendly, conversational, and approachable - but I am not looking to make friends in a share house. Just live comfortably with friendly people. Please text me if you would like to know more.
Hello! I’m Maryann, but I prefer to go by ‘Mez’. I work full time as a secondary teacher, so I am busy Monday to Friday, with early morning starts and late finishes. I’m a super friendly, active and outgoing person who enjoys a good social, gym/yoga session and weekend adventures but look forward to my alone times too. I am very respectful, and appreciate people who look after themselves and their share living spaces too! Give me a buzz if you’re on the same boat☺️
I am a super easy going guy, who is very considerate of others I live with. I do not leave mess around in shared areas and am hygienic. I enjoy music and gaming and can sometimes be a hermet, but also do like to socialize and am friendly :-). I also currently work at a restaurant in chapel hill up to 5 nights a week.
Hi, Im Alice. Currently study my master at UQ and work in a cafe during the weekends. Im an easy going person and will try to maintain the public area tidy. I'm not super talkative but enjoy the chat with my share mates. I won't make too loud noise and prefer to live in a quiet place If the place is pet allowed, I will be super happy if you have one! I am looking to share a home with some like-minded people and create a great community, not just a place to survive. If you think we'd get along, hit me up!
I'm an easy going person, very open minded. Love to cook! Pretty much a Vegetarian with the odd slip up. Clean and reliable. I'm a social person, pretty much always up for a chat! I am respectful of others space as I also like having my own space. Super chill, love the occasional deep conversation. Also love having family dinners, and the occasional drink. Looking for housemates that are relaxed and easy going. Just got back from traveling overseas for 7 months, trying to find some new hobbies and a full-time job. I recently spent 3 months living in an Ashram/Yoga Retreat, so I enjoy regular yoga and the yogi lifestyle. Before traveling I had been studying Nutrition part time, might be continuing late this year. Also looking to start a new share house! Keen on creating a really chill, fun, homey, and environmental conscious home. Would love to have a house or townhouse so I can start some veggie gardens. Let me know if you would like to team up. :) Looking forward to hearing from you!
Howdy! I work full time in healthcare Mon_Fri and like to keep busy on the weekends with food and wine festivals, art galleries, live music, hikes etc. I'm a pretty good cook-especially when it comes to random acts of baking, and Mexican. I'm old enough to pick after myself and perceptive enough to leave people to their own devices when needed... but I guess everyone on here says that! Love the odd pun and dad joke, will binge watch Netflix with you! I really would like to team up in the Toowong area, somewhere with a yard for my beautiful labradoodle, Sigyn. She doesn't shed or smell and has lovely manners. Ideally would like to share with a young professional who is funny and outgoing and will have a cheeky vino with me!
A young, quiet pensioner who is fond of learning, art, science and philosophy. Noah is on the ASD or autism spectrum, with a number of chronic mental health issues that are behind his status as a pensioner. He's very low impact, gentle and compensates for struggles understanding body language by being dedicated to good communication and respect for others. Honest and quirky, good with animals, vocabulary and art, he's looking for other mellow, accepting people, especially other people in the LGBT+ community.
