I'm a 18 year old female university student, looking for a private room in a safe, healthy environment in a closer area to the city. I’m a positive, friendly and easy to get along with person who enjoys good company but also respect and like some time to my self. I’m currently in my first year in Bachelor of interior design at rmit. I'm mostly studying, working and keeping fit. I work as a waitress/bartender in the city and spend a lot of mine time in the and around the city for both work and uni. I’m always down to chill, have a drink and enjoy having a good chat! oh and if your close to or along either the 96, or 109 tram line that would be even better!
Hello! I'm looking to join a friendly household that has the right balance of hanging out together and doing our own thing. I work full-time as a youth worker, and in my spare time I'm either spending it with my boyfriend/friends/family, dragging myself outside to exercise, cooking vegetarian food, or parking myself on the couch to watch terrible tv. I'm considerate and respectful of others, and I love having a laugh/sharing dog videos to balance out the seriousness of my work. My other loves include hunting down the best brunch spots in Melbourne, going to a few gigs and music festivals here and there, and baked goods. My ideal housemates are around the same age or older, working full-time, easygoing, and tidy. I'm hoping to be moved in somewhere by mid-April/early May so give me a shout if you think we'd be a good match! :)
Hi there! Thanks for checking out my profile to find out about what sort of housemate I am. I'm a 33 year old professional who emigrated properly from the U.K. last year (although I've lived in Melbourne twice before so I know it well). I'm a teacher although I'm on a break and working full time in Marketing trying to break in to copywriting as I love to write. I'm really easy going, tidy, humble and very respectful of others. I like to have a giggle and to go out but equally like my time at home too. I'm looking for like-minded people to share a house with. Respectful people, decent human beings. It doesn't bother me what you do or what your interests are, as long as you pay your rent on time and tidy up after yourself, etc. It would be a bonus to have housemates I can socialise with and enjoy the things to see in this wonderful city! If you think we'd work well in a house or flatshare together, i'd love to hear from you! Nicola :-)
Hi, I am a master student of uni melb from Shanghai, China. I am a thoughtful, quiet girl. respect for privacy, but don't mind having a pleasant chat sometimes.
Hi I'm an expat of the Hills in the Dandenong Ranges and have been happily living in town for the last 6months. I wanted to stay longer but the council has an issue with our landlord so we had to move out immediately. I'm on a mission to find an alternative ASAP. I love live music, camping, gardening, cycling, photography and I spend most of my week nights catching up with friends, wandering through parks, seeing movies or listening to some of the awesome local roots music in a cosy back street bar. I'm a professional at the share house thing and have references but most importantly, I'm respectful, tidy, honest and I pay up on time. I have a full time 8:30 - 5:30pm Mon-Fri job as an Inventory Controller & I'm gay but haven't been practicing for about 5yrs so not sure if it counts?
Good, happy and full of great vibes! Humour makes a happy home is what we believe. Don't know what more to say but more than welcome to ask anything you'd like to know further.
Hey guys and gals, I'm a 20 something 9-5 professional looking for a place with two or less people. I'm interested in keeping fit and meditation. I like to keep to myself during the week, as I have a pretty demanding job, however I do love to cook for others when I have the time and my weekends are very social.
I am looking to move to Melbourne from Sydney at the start of May. I am from Ireland, and have lived in many houseshares before, so I know how it should work :) I've lived in Ireland, England, Germany and Canada and I love meeting people from other countries. I am clean, quiet and respectful of other people. I am very neat and always clean and tidy up after myself. I enjoy having chats with my housemates, hanging out, watching tv, going out for food, going to the cinema/theatre/events and I look forward to making new friends. I'm not a drinker or a big party-person, so there'll be no issues with me making noise or anything like that. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan, and for tv shows, I love Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, and all the Marvel movies. I also love dogs! Hopefully, some of these interests match with my new housemates! Please let me know if you have a private , furnished room available to rent and please consider me as your fun new housemate! :)
hi i am a 24 year old male student studying p.e. teaching. i currently work at ripcurl in the airport and live in sunbury at the moment but i am looking to move closer into the city. my weeks are usually spent either at uni, work or the gym (when i can get away from Netflix). My weekends are usually going to see a band somewhere or just hanging at home because of work. I enjoy travel and plan to do more in the future as well as hiking and watching almost any sport. i hope to hear from you in the future. thanks
I'm considerate and respectful. Like to have a friendly relationship with housemates but also some space. Believe that communicating well with the people you live with is the best way to make a household work. Respect other people's property and preferences regarding cleanliness. I have a very cute ginger cat named Abraham. I'm 40yo, working in health at one of the hospitals in Melbourne. Not super fussy about the location of the house, so long as it's accessible to the city. LGBTIQA friendly.
Hi there! I'm a postgraduate student at Unimelb, and I'm looking for a private room, but I'm open to sharing a room with the right person. Looking for something that's close to public transport - this is pretty important to me. A furnished room is preferred, as I haven't got furniture with me. Move-in date is flexible. I do have to study a lot, so I'll need a quiet place because I'm one of those people who just can't study with noise :( but in my downtime I'd love to chat and have a laugh with my flatmates! I'm looking to make friends and not just to fill a room :) I'm a very positive and friendly person. I love a good laugh and enjoy dad jokes/puns/memes :P I keep my stuff (and the house) neat and clean. When I'm not studying I'm reading, or watching TV shows or movies. Huge cricket fan, and will watch and enjoy pretty much any sport :D I'm new to the city so I'd also like to explore the place but haven't really got round to it yet haha! I hope I've covered everything (these things are hard to write!). Please message me if there's anything you'd like to know :) Cheers, Ally
I am a hermit and homebody. Will cook, garden and stick to a good cleaning routine. Mostly a night shift worker so you might not see much of me but if you do I'm pretty bubbly and sociable. My ideal day consists of nachos and netflix. My ideal home is one with a roof and heater. Just let me chill and don't judge my blobiness (y)
Hi there! We are two Argentine friends looking for our next home :) I work full time, I teach Spanish in my free time, love being outdoors and aspire to visit every available cafe in Melbourne. Flor is studying to become a chef (expect delicious meals) and working part time. We both enjoy the occasional glass of wine while watching Netflix and would love to live with somebody from a different culture! We also love travelling around Australia and are happy to add a new member to our crew to tag along! We are both pretty sociable but also respect and value each other's time and privacy. We appreciate cleanliness and tidiness and will always strive to achieve the best possible shared-living habitat :)
Hello, my name's Josh! I've been couch surfing in Melbourne for a month after moving interstate from NSW and would really like to settle down and find a permanent home. I'm a first year science student studying full time at Monash Uni. I'm a friendly, easygoing, sociable guy but am also respectful of others' privacy and while I'm up for a chat I also enjoy some downtime like anyone else. I realise the responsibilities involved in living with others and am a very clean, tidy and reliable person, contributing my fair share to ensuring the place is in good condition and rent is paid on time. Lover of all animals and would be totally down to live with pets of any kind. Am open to living with any and all kinds of people but would prefer to live with other students or people around my age. As I'll have uni nearly everyday it's quite important that public transport is nearby, and it would be especially amazing if I could find a place close to the Clayton campus. Also open to start/join a group of others looking for housing - send me a message if you'd like to know more about me or if you have a room available and thanks!
Hey there, the names Shaek and I have Fijian-Indian heritage and I am currently living in Sydney's west and plan to move to Melbourne around the 5th of May for a year (or so). I currently work full-time in Sydney and will be doing an interstate company transfer so income is not an issue. Being the eldest of 5 children, I have a strong understanding of personal space as well as overall cleanliness and am very responsible and dependable. Majority of the time I like to keep to myself but am always up for a laugh and love listening to people talk. I am known to be an extremely relaxed and laid back person so I can assure you that there will be no conflict over mundane issues. I am an avid reader and often tend to lock myself in the room, so some days you may not even hear a peep. Fishing is another hobby I seriously enjoy as well as eating at places with great reviews, socialising with friends, having a drink or 10, watching movies and other things. Although I am only 20, I believe I am able to get on with people of all ages and back grounds as I like to think I am quite open minded and have been told by many that I have great mannerisms and professionalism. Thanks for reading!
This is my first rodeo of shared living accom outside of paring with a partner or family & friends. I'm flexible to move out within the next month for a stable place for a decent time. I am a Latin/African dance teacher by trade, I work almost every weeknight and many weekends also. I am super chilled dude, knows when to hang out and when to keep to myself. At this stage I can only afford to pay $600 inc bills a month & looking for areas around Carlton, Brunswick, Fitzroy, Moonee Ponds, Preston that side of town. If anyone is interested in having me or can help lead me in the right direction would be amazing! Thanks all!
Hi I'm Jess. I'm 28 years old and work as a client services officer at a financial planning firm. My interests include music, especially live gigs, the ocean, travel, animals and spending time with friends. I'm a fairly easy going person, like to keep things tidy and would consider myself to be quiet but friendly. I am a bit of a nanna during the week but always up for a dance and a drink on the weekend and my poison of choice is a vodka, lime and soda water and a tequila shot never goes astray. Cheers :)
Hello, I'm a Scottish Special Education Teacher, working North of Melbourne. Ideally, I'd like to be in the Kensington area. I work long hours during the week and try to be healthy! I like the usual; socialising, going to the gym and making the most of weekends exploring or relaxing :)
Hi ! I'm Régis, I'm a french student in an engineering school in Paris. I'll be 3 months in Melbourne for an internship at the university. I'm looking for a shared house around the university where I could find a friendly environment I think I'm clean and easy going person :) I'm passionate of music ( I play piano and accordion ) and I like very much mountain sports :-) I practice rock climbing and I hope can do some in Melbourne ! I also do enjoy visiting and exploring, so I look forward to moving a bit to see Melbourne and its surroundings :)
Hi everyone, My partner and I are both respectful, responsible 19 year olds that are mature for our age. We are both currently unemployed but can both assure we can pay for rent and bills and are actively looking for work. Despite our age we are very quiet and would prefer a night in on the couch than going out every weekend so there is no need to worry about us coming in late every weekend. Thank you for your time and we are forward to hearing back from anyone with an offer.
Hi there! I am Katharine, doing my Master degree in the city and I'm looking for a nice place with some good people to live with. A bit about me: I (soonish to be 24) am studying an environmental master degree and work besides that as Babysitter for two desperate families. Besides that I will hopefully start with some volunteering at the ASRC soon. I am originally from Germany but decided to come back to Melbourne after doing an exchange semester in the city during my undergraduate. I like these tiny shops where you can get amazing food, a great piece of chocolate cake (Brunetti..), vegetarian food, a good book, chats with like minded people and one to three beers at the pub after uni. I enjoy going to the small gigs which are all over the city, a walk on the beach and spending time in cafes. Well yes and I do have fantastic friends which I love to hang out with. I am a committed cyclist and then there are one or two swim session per week. So I do spend a bit of my time in and around the city but I would be super happy to have a great home base :) I am looking for a place with people who don't think I am an alien, might even be interested in similar things and do not party at home every night although dinnerparties with friends are great! I am pretty uncomplicated to live with, respect other people, their stuff and privacy. I am a clean living person and look for a place which shares that. And hey - I am paying bills and rent on time! Would be great to get in touch! :) Katharine
