Hi! I will be moving to Melbourne soon to start a full time job. I'm a reasonably neat person with terribly average cooking skills! I'm pretty easy going and love to try new things. Would love to find a friendly household with some flatmates who can help me settle in to Melbourne, and who are happy to share a meal and a drink. I've put down to stay 4 months but am definitely open to a longer stay. Also a bit flexible with move in date :)
Currently working at Muffin Break Doncaster and studying Education and Mandarin at Deakin University. I am a clean and responsible individual that likes to make friends and has a good sense of humour. However, I am very capable of occupying myself so if you only want someone quiet in the background I can do that to. A majority of this year will be dedicated to work and study but I do enjoy watching and reading a lot of anime and manga so if you're into that stuff hit me up!
Hi, I'm Shannen, 21, and work as a nanny in Clifton Hill. I have a playful Staffordshire Bull Terrior who loves people, is toilet trained and doesn't chew or dig. She spends her days outside ( need fenced backyard) and only comes inside when I'm home. I love a good tv series and spend my weekends socialising or with family. I'm tidy and respectful of communal spaces. Am always up for a chat/drink but also happy to keep to myself.
Hello! I work in hospitality and am in the process of relocating to Melbourne. I've lived in Sydney all of my adult life in shared housing situations, and have gotten along well with a good mix of people. I prefer living in a place where the occupants are happy to mingle and socialise, especially over drinks and/or food, but understand the need for personal space as well. I enjoy cooking at home, and will be bringing a bunch of cool kitchen toys with me! At other times I run fairly regularly for exercise, or play video games on the computer. My work hours will very likely be late and long. I do my best to keep things quiet when I come home late and have never had complaints from the other 9-5ers I live with. I don’t have a pet but love animals, so I’m happy to feed or walk/exercise your pets. I’m looking for a long-term home (6 months or more) and would like to move around the 1st of February, with some flexibility. I should have a job by then but if you’re (understandably) apprehensive, I’m open to discussing arrangements for contingencies or a guarantee of some sort.
I've been living on my own for a year in Hawthorn and have decided that I'd like some house mates! I thoroughly enjoy cooking for others and having dinner with maybe a couple drinks and some chats. Also I'm really mindful of my own mess and very clean. Love a good tv show binge or endlessly flicking through netflix trying to find something to watch. Super friendly and would love to find people to move with or a place with some cool people in it :)
I'm 24 and currently employed full-time as a project engineer. I consider myself quite outgoing, easy to get along with, reliable and very sociable. I’m very neat and clean up after myself religiously. I have had experience living in share houses and on my own before so I am aware of what is expected. Besides working usual hours of 8am-5pm, in my spare time I love to play guitar, binge watch crappy TV shows and eat more than I probably should. I am usually out and about on weekends, but also enjoy the occasional night in. I would love to move into a place with social people of similar age who would be up for sharing a couple of meals or drinks with each other now and then. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Hello! we are Zarah and Jack, we love animals and reading books, we also like living in a clean and tidy environment. Zarah's a bit of a neat freak and likes keeping the room as clean as possible and Jack pretty much gets along with anyone.
Hey! I'm a relaxed 20 y/o guy looking for a place to share with housemates who like to chill and have a drink every now and again but also like personal space. I'm working part time at the moment, and when I'm not I'm usually out with friends as much as possible so you'll have the place to yourself! Looking to after the 10th of Feb when I'm back from overseas
Hi I'm Dom Working full time as a warehouse manager and am looking for a new place to stay near the city. At home I generally keep to myself but I do enjoy having a chat/drink/social after work if my housemates are up for it. I enjoy playing pretty much any sport and am working on getting my lanky body into shape. I've been living in share accommodation for the past 10 years so I'm very familiar with respecting my housemates, being clean and just generally contributing to a positive atmosphere. On a day off I'm usually out socialising with friends, playing sport or just watching series/documentaries at home. I also competitively play dodgeball twice a week. Other facts about me : If you have a dog expect me to pat it incessantly, grew up in France, Disney/Pixar are my go to movies. Anything else you'd like to know please do ask! Currently seeking: -Ideally a mid February/early march move in. -Relatively contemporary house/flat to live in with other like minded individuals. -Room sizeable enough to fit queen bed (furnished or unfurnished) -Reasonable parking -Looking for long term stay but anything 3+ months is fine too
Hey all! Currently looking for a room to move in ASAP. I'm from Peru and I'm taking a master at Monash Uni. I've been living in Melbourne for a year already. I work part time and during my free time, I like to go to the gym and go out and try new cafes and restaurants. I'm used to living with roommates so I'm well trained when it comes to cleanliness and tidiness (including paying the bills on time!). I love animals and while I don't have any pets, I'm more than happy to live with them and share in the caring 😊 If you think I could be a good fit in your house-share or would like to know anything else about me, send me a message and we can arrange a time to meet. 😊
Hi! My name is Mia, I'm 24 years old, looking to move out of home for the first time. I am tidy, friendly and respectful. I don't party hard, but I am sociable and always happy for a chat or a glass of wine. I'm studying psychology and a cert IV in Mental Health, I volunteer at a telephone crisis line for women, and I work 4-5 shifts a week at a part-time hospitality job. When I'm not working I love to write, read, watch movies, visit museums/art galleries, and hiking/going to the beach. I also love to travel, if only I had more money for it! :'( If you are LGBT+ friendly, smoke-free, and looking for a female housemate in the areas of Hawthorn, Toorak, South Yarra, Richmond etc., then I would love to get to know you!
Hey! I'm Brittany. I am 24 years old, and have just finished my first year as a primary school teacher! During the week I like to keep things fairly low key, and most weekends I'm out and about with friends/family. I love to keep a healthy and active lifestyle - pilates obsessed, and just discovered F45...also now obsessed with that too!!! Hoping to find like-minded flatmates, who love cheese and wine as much as me! Ideally looking to live with two other people in a social flatshare!
Hi my name is Elise. I am currently working in hospitality and going back to study next year to finish my Masters of Occupational Therapy Practice. I am looking for a place closer to my current work and future University placement and job opportunities. I like an equal amount of quiet time and socialising. I am friendly, easy-going and hard-working. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
Hiya, I'm potentially moving from Rockhampton, Queensland to Melbourne to study full-time at Swinburne University as well as work. I have recently graduated from high school with an OP2 (ATAR 98) and work two casual jobs, one at retail and one in an arts/framing store. Being a student, I will keep mostly to myself throughout the day but will always be up for a chat/dinner/TV binge in the evening. I'm quite tidy, laid back and love to have a good laugh. As I am moving interstate, I would love to have a housemate who is willing to show me around Melbourne and is interested in going out and socialising occasionally. I'm not a big alcohol drinker (but I'll gladly share one every now and again), I don't smoke nor do I do drugs. I'm looking for someone is happy, tidy and respectful. Simply put, I am looking for a friend. Hope to hear from you soon, Meg
Hi, My name is Pierre, I am French and I am looking for a nice accommodation for my girlfriend and I in Melbourne to move in Wednesday,18th, if your room is still available, can you please tell me if I can come for inspection tomorrow, cheers, Pierre
My name is Trevor. I'm 31 years old and work full-time in Blackburn. I'd like to believe that I would be the perfect house mate as I am happy to cook, make sure I clean up after myself and will definitely be punctual with bills etc. I'm happy to share a meal and/or a drink or even a movie/tv series marathon, but also keep to myself at times. I try to keep myself fit by getting to the gym most mornings (yes I said try). I am looking for a place with preferably only 1 female housemate, someone who I can build a friendship with and create a fun and relaxing household. If you think this sounds like you please shoot me a message. Thanks!
Hello, guys and girls. We are a young couple in our mid 20's moving over from New Zealand. Bill has been a self employed builder for the last 8 years in NZ and looking at branching out in to the world of project management. Libby is in marketing, she is extremely creative and loves the challenges it can bring. We are both very outgoing and don't like sitting around too much... although you can't beat a trashy movie with wine and a cheese board on the odd Saturday night. We have a very loving dog, Jack, who we will be bringing with us. He is a doberman and is great with people (kids and adults alike), cats, dogs - the lot! A lover to his very core! Other than walking our hound and exploring, we enjoy taking the motorbike out, getting to the gym regularly, good drinks and delicious food (we try to be healthy) and cutting shapes until the sun comes ups. The flights are booked and we are landing Australia side on the 30th of March. Ideally we would love to have a place lined up and locked in - ready to hit the ground running. We are very tidy and considerate people and we are very much looking forward to meeting new people and getting this adventure going.
Hi Everyone!! I've moved to Melbourne last October and I'm looking for somewhere to stay long term. I'm 30 yo, originally from Poland but lived in Perth for the last 7 years. I have two jobs so will be out most of the time. I moved here to get a job in my proffesion (dental technician), which I successfully did. Working in Canterbury so preferably want to be within walking distance ir at least close to the train. I also work at Etihad Stadium/ Melbourne Park on the weekends. I'm quiet and tidy and I can also provide reference from my real estate back in Perth. I'm available to move in on the 11th of February. Thank you in advance. Aggie
Hi, I'm Julie, coming to Melbourne from France in order to study Mechanical Engineering at Swinburne as an exchange student, and I would like to find somewhere to call home :) I will be studying at Swinburne's Hawthorn campus so I'm looking for a room near Lilydale or Alamein railway line, or tram line 16,70 or 75, or bus route 624 or even better within walking distance from the campus ! I'm 19 going 20 and I would like to find flatmates about the same age (let's say preferably from 18 to 25 but I'm not very rigid about it). I'm quiet but social and I would like to share time with my flatmates (share meals, enjoy movies, have a cup of tea ... :P) I'm considerate of people's privacy and I clean up after myself. I like to study in common spaces (living room, kitchen ...) so I can see people passing by while studying :P. I do not need a lot of personal space : a small room would do it for me. I do not smoke nor drink. Cheers !
Hi There, I'm looking for people who are looking to team up to create a home in the inner suburbs (Richmond preferably) About me, I am a clean individual who enjoys a glass of wine and good food at the end of the day. I work full time & own a business so i'm kept fairly busy. I used to be a chef many moons ago so I do like having my home as a sanctuary for good food and did I mention wine? My cat (Leo) is an affectionate little bundle of energy who is well trained. Anyhoo if you are after the same things get in touch.
I am a professional female working 9-5 job in healthcare and looking for share accommodation in or closer to Melbourne city. My preference is to have a private room with own bathroom plus parking. I moved to Melbourne from Sydney in the first quarter of 2016. I'm an easy going person and I'm looking to share with someone that is house proud n keeps the place clean. I like a bit of privacy at times but mostly up for a chat or have dinner/glass of wine together when time permits.
I'm an early-20s LGBT+ student types, searching for a room in an existing sharehouse. I'm looking to move in mid-to-late February 2017, as I'm starting a masters course at VCA. I'm tidy and courteous, and always appreciate and respect people's space- having said that, I'm also fun-loving, and always up for a laugh, hang out etc. I was going to write an acrostic poem with my name but I have to go to work soon so maybe later when I'm not dreading 8 hours of retail hell. Any questions, feel free to contact and get a conversation starting :) Cheers, Callum
I am a 19 year old student currently studying at Swinburne University, i also work part time in the city. I have previously been living with my three sisters in Oakleigh, but am looking to live closer to both uni and work. I am clean, quiet but am also always up for a good time.
I've just recently moved over from New Zealand. I work in an organics store in Balwyn, so I often bring lots free tasty organic food home. In my spare time I like to do parkour, and I read quite a bit, lots of non-fiction, about things like; gardening, philosphy, sociology, autobiographies, etc. I also used to be a chef, so I'm pretty keen on cooking. I like to think I'm pretty good to live with :) Cheers, Theo
I'm working full-time as an Assistant Project Manager in Hawthorn East. I'm outgoing, sociable, play a lot of sport during the week, friendly, clean, trustworthy, organised, don't smoke, am easy to get along with, flexible, caring, love a good drink and always pay bills on time. I am currently renting with two others in Hawthorn and have been for the last 10+ months, but am **LOOKING TO MOVE OUT IN EARLY/LATE MARCH**. **WILL ONLY LOOK AT UNFURNISHED BEDROOMS.** I dont have too much furniture, just a bed, TV, chest of draws, clothes and a couple of bedside tables and thats it! I have a car and will require parking (preferable undercover and off the street).
We've been living with different roommates and flatmates for 10 years and understand the dynamics of a good living environment. We've resorted to conflict resolution through open communication for some of the more difficult encounters while others easily flourished into friendship and camaraderie. We are well traveled and have friends in out her countries such as Canada and Taiwan. Give us a go and you won't regret it. We are ideally looking for a place that can accommodate a couple and also have a en suite bathroom. Ideally not on the second floor and require stairs to access room.
I am Nat, a 28 year old working and studying professional looking for an awesome house or apartment to move into in Jan 2017. I am originally half Russian and half Estonian and im from Estonia (if you know where that is ... ) I am in the middle of my Studies to be Myotherapist. Im looking at moving to Melbourne city or a 30mins (at the very most) radius by train/tram to get to the city. I am outgoing and super relaxed and fun to live with but sometimes I need alone time and respect privacy. Am extremely clean and well organised! My budget is 200-230*if its super nice 240 is good as well haha.. I am not looking for student apartments or apartments/houses where are more than 3 housemates. Perfect age would be 23-35 females or males. Outside of work and Uni I love going to gigs, socialising, exercising, traveling and getting to the beach when Melbourne decides to shine a little. Sunday Sessions is always a good idea. Long boarding and surfing is fun activity as well. In the winter time I am away all weekends at Mount Hotham. I just love snowboarding too much. Let me know if i am perfect candidate for you.
Hi there! I’m making the move from Brissy to Melbourne to start full-time post grad at Deakin and looking for a swell share house to call home! ABOUT ME: I’m originally from country Queensland, but have been living in Brisbane for the past 5 years while studying and working. Friends would describe me as funny, easy-going, and tolerant (you do you basically). I’m starting my Masters in Cultural Heritage, so if ya want some fun facts about history, I’m your gal. Love a good chat about politics and current affairs, but also a cheeky trashy TV sesh (disclaimer, I will yell at the TV during the Bachelor). Love getting out an about (hiking/markets/beach trips etc). Not a massive party animal, but would rarely turn down a beer and a boogie. Only been to Melbourne a handful of times, so I’m pretty keen to explore and meet new people! IDEAL HOUSE: I’ve always lived in a close-knit share house, so looking for a place where people don’t mind a mix of socialising together (beers/brunch) and doing their own thing. Like everyone, I get pretty busy during the week studying/working/volunteering, so like to just chill out when I’m at home. If there's ever any issues, I’d rather people just be honest and open, it’s a massive time saver and we’re all adults. Most of the bills in my current share house come out of my account so I’m down with the importance of paying on time! I’m clean (I find vacuuming oddly therapeutic) and respectful of people space. Ideally looking for a place around 150-160 a week + bills DISCLAIMER: I’ll be heading to Germany for 5 months around mid September as part of my Masters so need to be somewhat flexible with length of stay. I'll also be looking for part-time work once I move down, but because I'm a super cool, forward thinking adult, 100% set to cover all my expenses while I'm searching.
I'm an easy going, happy to talk shit, and slightly dopey aerospace engineering student. I am a window cleaner when I'm not at uni, so the windows will (probably) be nicely kept. Preferred price is around $170 per week, maximum $220 including bills/internet. The lower the cost the better though! ;) For the next two years i'll be studying at RMIT Bundoora. So i could be down for a lease which is that long. Just got to find the right home! I'm hoping to make a few new friends, knuckle down to focus on my study, and live in a lighthearted and chilled environment. I play indoor soccer every week, and am always keen to play sports, or throw a Frisbee. Or just be out-doors to have a gander.
Hey! I moved over to Melbourne last year but have been travelling for the past 2months. Im looking for somewhere long term (no current plans of vacating this awesome city!) Im 26, originally from the UK (I have dual nationality) and currently working in the CBD as a Software Developer. My budget is around $300 and would prefer somewhere in the city or close to a train/tram that would get me to the city within 20mins! That being said the housemates are definitely most important and would prefer to live with social people that will eventually become good friends, though I'm not a pest and can appreciate alone time. If you have a room up for rent and think I could be a good match let me know! Cheers, Danny
Hoping to find some flatmates to share a house with. I am a 21 year old uni student who loves coffee and meeting new people. I like to think I am friendly and easy going. I love to chat and hang out but I also like my own time as well. Hoping to find a place by Feb at the latest so feel free to message. :)
Hi there, I am an outgoing and friendly girl! I am from Geelong and am looking to move to Melbourne, as I will be working full time as a nurse in a large hospital. I am tidy and organised. I value my own personal space and respect others. I am not looking for a party house, however I do love going out and have a active social life. I am looking for a place I can call home and feel comfortable living in. I would happily enjoy catching up and enjoying a meal or a beverage with my housemate/s. I am SO in love with Melbourne and super excited to explore it, and all it has to offer. I love going out for brunch/ dinner and love good coffee. Looking forward to potentially meeting you..
Hi everyone! My current lease is ending, and I'm looking to move in to a new share house. I'm currently taking a year off uni and working hospo to save some money before I start my honours in criminology and social theory in July. I love zipping around on my bike, practicing yoga and reading. I'm working a lot which means I'm not home heaps, but when I am I love cooking up a big feed, or heading the pub for beers and pool. I've got a bit of a green thumb, so a decent back yard to do some gardening in would be awesome. Just shoot me a message if you'd like to know anything else :)
I'm Gee, 25 years old and moving out of home for full-time work as a lawyer in Abbotsford so a place Inner East would be a godsend. Lived in NYC for a couple of months last year so have a bit of share house experience. I'm not looking for a party house and prefer a quiet and pleasant home to come back to after work, and somewhere close to great brunch spots for the weekend! I'm clean, chill and definitely love wine & chats although I understand boundaries. I have a partner so ideally I'd like a place where my housemate/s don't mind if he comes around. He has his own place though, so at the most it would be once a week. We're respectful, and so far have had no issues with his housemates, so hopefully this isn't a deal breaker! My other requirement is a place with off street parking or a parking permit. If you like the sound of this, send me a message and we can get talking :)
After 3 years of living by myself close to uni, I really want to move closer to the city and live with others. I am beginning my Masters degree this year in clinical exercise physiology and I work as a swim/ strength and conditioning coach for a major swimming club in Victoria. This means that I'm not home a great deal, but when I am nothing beats chilling out and listening to records. I am also addicted to coffee, so I'm pretty handy when it comes to great cafes around Melbourne.
I'm a 19 year old student looking to move to Melbourne from country Victoria to attend university. I will be studying a double degree of business and media at Swinburne University. I hope to find a furnished room, preferably sharing with other students. I'm looking for flatmates that are easy going, enjoy staying in to watch movies, and going out to eat good food and have a drink. I hope to be able to form a friendship with the people I will live with. Im easy going and have a good sense of humour. I like movies, music and have a love for dogs!
Hi there! My current lease is up in Feb and I'm looking for an unfurnished room to rent, preferably less than an hour commute from the city. I work full-time Monday-Friday, and tend to just stick to my routine during the week. At weekends I spend my time going out with friends, catching up with family and relaxing at home. I’m tidy, quiet and considerate and would be looking to rent with people the same. I'm always up for a chat and enjoy the occasional social drinks, movie nights, games nights and the like but also enjoy my own space too. I am moving with my 3 year old koolie, Rikku. If you’ve ever wanted a dog but don’t want the responsibility Rikku would be ideal! She’s used to living in sharehouses and loves all the people. I can assure you she’s very well trained (top level obedience and currently training in agility) and I walk her daily (she’s an excellent running partner if you need one!). Both my past landlords have known about Rikku and it’s never been a problem. She’s predominantly an outside dog but I do sometimes have her inside in the evenings to watch tv with me. She is 100% housetrained and will quickly learn to stay off furniture and out of rooms that are off limits. However she does need a backyard so unfortunately apartments/townhouses won’t work. Rikku’s never lived with other pets (except for a top goldfish named Yevin) but I would be willing to try it. She doesn't always get along with dogs but would love a cat friend. If you’ve just set up a new sharehouse (or someone just moved out and took everything) I can also provide the following (otherwise I will be storing it with the parents): -dining table -bookshelf -washing machine -fridge (fits food for 3 people) -couch & two arm chairs -chest of drawers -bean bag -coffee table Cheers :)
Hi peoplesss, 30M, looking for a long term accommodation here. I am a podiatrist working full time, also amateur home cook who experiments with food from time to time. I'm easy going and respectful of other's privacy, not a party animal, doesnt smoke, like my place clean and tidy. On my day off I usually go fishing/camping/exploring/etc, I love movies and random TED talks (I tend to binge watch a little). My new year resolution: learn how to surf like a pro.
Hi, I'm Hannah! I'm a recent graduate about to start my new fulltime job in HR at the end of January. I'm looking to live somewhere close to the city for an easy commute to work. I'm an outgoing person who loves a laugh and some quality chats. I would ideally like to live in a social household that are down for watching terrible TV shows and sharing a meal/having a drink together. My inner introvert does cause me to need a bit of chill time to myself though! Overall I'm a pretty easy going and friendly. I'd prefer to live in a mixed-gender household and do have a pet cockatiel who I would love to bring with me (if at all possible). So feel free to contact me if you think I sound like a somewhat decent potential housemate!
Hi, I'm James! I'm a 21 year old student studying international relations at Melbourne Uni. I work casually in retail, study full-time and also love volunteering! I had an amazing 6 months on exchange in Paris last year, staying with 3 other roommates in a nice apartment. Now back in Melb, I'm looking for some awesome new people to share a place with. I'm really clean and organised, and respect my roommates. Always up for a laugh or a shared dinner. I'm looking for a place centrally located near the city, or in a major urban centre like Caulfield or Box Hill. I'm only interested in apartments, and preferably recently renovated or built. Young roommates (under-25) only! Thanks! :)
Hey there, I’ll start off with a few things about myself. My name is sarina, I’m turning 21 in a month, I work part-time in a call centre and part-time also playing video games for money (I know that’s a little weird haha). My hair colour changes more than I’ve had hot dinners and I also like dogs (but I don’t have one, but it’s okay – god bless the internet and its unlimited supply of them). I’m a pretty big nerd so most of the things I own are entirely gaming related. I’ve lived in my current place for almost 3 years now but I’m looking to change to somewhere closer to the city because of work; so my stay would definitely be long-term. I’m very clean (thanks to my ocd mum haha) and I’m also pretty quiet, but I get excited over everything and have more energy than I should. I’d be in my room 90% of the time because of gaming & streaming online. I don’t drive so I don’t need any car space etc. My only big thing about moving is the internet speeds, I get it might sound silly but it could hinder my other career. If you're not sure what the speeds are or how to check just head to www.speedtest.net – I’m also looking to move ASAP or when the house is available! If I sound like someone you could probably put up with for a while, let me know! FYI: I live in Melbourne lul
