Hey, we're Victoria and Sumaid... a young couple looking for a place to stay. I (Victoria) am 25, originally from the UK and been living in Melbourne for the last 6 years. I work full time as a debt collection call centre team leader which makes me sound a lot scarier than I am... I promise I'm a nice person :) I am bubbly, outgoing and quite sociable however I appreciate my own space and privacy. I'm a clean, tidy and hygienic person to live with who is happy to help with shared cooking if desired. I like my life to be filled with laughter, conversations to be filled with real stuff and my company to enjoy the same. Sumaid is 24, originally from Pakistan and also been living in Melbourne for the last 6 years. Sumaid works full time in an Italian restaurant in the city. He is also an outgoing, sociable person that enjoys getting outdoors and experiencing everything the western world has to offer! We met here in Melbourne through a mutual friend back in December 2016 and have been dating ever since. We are looking for a room that would be big enough for two; furnished or unfurnished. We would ideally like to pay no more than $300 per week altogether ($150 pp, pw) with minimum bond if possible as we are currently paying off debts and saving to travel next year. We would be happy to pay full months worth of bond if able to be paid in two installments :) If you have anything suitable or are willing to negotiate, please get in contact. We will be happy to meet and see if we all gel with one another (errrr, I hate that saying). Thanks for reading! Vic
Hey friend, My partner Laura and I are looking for a new place to call home and prehaps someone to share it with! We both work full-time. I work in the Media department of an advertising agency and Laura works in retail. When i'm not working, I love to cook so you'll probably find me hunched over a stove in the Kitchen. Laura loves to read and binge B-grade television on Netflix. We also have a little furry friend, Momo the Cat. She's very well behaved and never causes any issues. *Moving date very flexible
I'm pretty relaxed, organised, reliable and really care about living in a tidy and clean home. I love meeting new people but am not big on living in a party house. I'm mostly looking for a quiet place to live as I'm moving out of a very noisy apartment in the CBD! ---- What I am looking for in a property (After wading through the jungle that is Melbourne real estate for 11 years, my needs have become very specific ;) 1) Split heating/cooling 2) Double glazing/a quiet location 3) 1/2 hour train/tram into the city, or a 1/2 hour walk to South Melbourne Market 4) Somewhere well built where the neighbors can't be heard 5) Away from noisy main streets or high enough that it doesn't matter 6) Somewhere with modern fixtures that make the apartment easy to keep clean 7) Own/Ensuite Bathroom for each of us 8) Bedrooms that don't share walls. --- What I am hoping for in a flatmate 1) Someone who understands I'm looking for a quiet and relaxing living space 2) Someone who is okay with me being up at 6AM and leaving for work by 6:30AM 3) Someone who cares about keeping a neat, clean and tidy house 4) Someone who is willing to be reliable with rent payments and helping with any repairs/issues that might arise with the property over time 5) Someone who is cool with agreeing on house rules to follow to keep things civil 6) Someone who doesn't mind that I have living room furniture (couch and dining table, washing machine and fridge) that I want to move into the apt. (If you have a better fridge than I do though, I'm willing to leave mine behind!) 7) No couples or pets, please and thank you :) --- A bit more about me: I'm a 30-year-old Graphic Designer from Melbourne who works full time in South Melbourne, Monday to Friday from around 7AM - 5/6PM. I love food, films and checking out exhibitions, talks and local festivals around the city during the week. If I am at home, I'm usually taking it easy or working on my own design projects.
I'm quiet and have a wonderful, small, non destructive and friendly dog. Her name is Maddy and she is a fox terrier cross boarder collie. She loves people and especially little kids . Maddy's hobbies include balls, balls, balls and her squeaky toys. I don't drink much and i don't do drugs or smoke. I work in the aged care industry and love my job. In my spare time i like to hang out with my friends and family. I am flexible with moving dates and to sweeten the deal i even have a webber.
Hey - I'm a full time artist currently living in my art studio in Nth Melbourne. I am tidy, friendly and honest. I'm a fan of using good old fashioned communication as a way to fix problems if any arise, and it's worked wonders in the past. I like to chat, connect, have a glass of wine with housemates but just as happy to hang out by myself. I have my 4 yr old son Willem 3-4 nights a week, and so will need to be a child friendly household (even though he talks like a 14 year old, and thinks he is too!). He is a super cool cat and he knows boundaries and personal space. We're a happy little pair, and so if you like kids or you have some, let's chat!
Hi there potential roomies I am Rachel, 27, full-time online student studying primary teaching, but also have two jobs and work quite a bit as well. During the week I sometimes go out in the evening but generally lay pretty low and during uni terms, I use most of my free time during the week studying and completing assignments. I like to keep active and love to go for walks/runs and to the gym. On the weekends I like to relax but also enjoy going out and meeting up with friends for a wine or dinner. I have never been someone to have large rowdy gatherings at my home but like to have a few friends over for dinner or a couple of drinks now and then. I love baking when I have time, so there will often be baked goods to share. My previous housemates and I shared the staple items and even discussed at the start of the week what nights we would both be home and took it in turns cooking for each other which was a really nice homely touch to our shared household. I like to think of myself as a pretty relaxed person to live with, I like my own space as well as enjoy being social with my housemates but also hope that the people/person that I live can vibe when i need my own time/space, I would for them. I hope to hear from you! Happy to give prior housemate reviews :) all 5 stars
Hello! I'm Antonia, a Philosophy and Literature uni grad, who's just moved to Melbourne from London and can’t wait to find somewhere to call home! As a flatmate I'm pretty easy going - someone who likes things kept clean and tidy (within reason), enjoys cooking, drinking wine and being social, but also likes having some time alone to chill out - all about that balance. Which also means you'll find me attempting to keep fit at the gym/yoga/running to compensate for all the wine, chocolate and brunches I like to have in my life... Looking for flatmates who can become friends and are up for cooking together or chilling in the evening sometimes and exploring at the weekend! Would really like a social household where everyone feels comfortable chatting and relaxing together, not hiding in their rooms the whole time - obviously do appreciate everyone needs their downtime too! If you think we'd be a great fit please let me know as I'm sure I'd love to meet you! :)
SHORT VERSION: Final year masters student looking for a place closer to Melb Uni. Extroverted but will leave you in peace, does not want a 'party house' but does like a social house. I am well house trained. I did save a heap before returning to study to avoid living like a poor uni student. EXTENDED VERSION: Currently a masters student at University of Melbourne, 2nd dan black belt who teaches and trains in taekwondo when time permits. I am looking for a place preferably closer to the city and uni and for new housemates who either want to hunt for a place with me or have found somewhere already and need an extra housemate. I don't have any pets but if you have any I'll love them as they were my own. I'm very house proud but am by no means a homebody and when I'm not at work, uni or catching up with friends, I can usually be found out in my kayak, on my bike, at the dojang or going for a run which you would always be welcome to join me at but I won't force you too! When I'm at home, I'm quite neat (and I hope for my housemates to be the same), I'm a good cook, and do enjoy getting to share a meal with others. I love a good chat, intelligent or silly, and a household full of laughter. I believe home should be a positive and happy place and not a place where everyone goes and hides in their room at the end of the day without talking. I do however believe everyone needs their own quiet time and I am respectful of that but I'm often guilty of putting the books down to chat and be social instead. :) I'm more experienced living with guys however your gender, sexual orientation, race, favourite colour, football team or star sign all hold no bearing on your suitability as a housemate to me. The only thing I ask is that you have a positive attitude and are the type of person who is easy to get along with and inclusive of others regardless of their differences. I have most things needed for a household inc. everything needed for a kitchen, a comfy couch, coffee machine, large flat-screen telly, linen, towels, an iron, bedroom furniture etc. I don't need to bring everything with me though. I am not picky when it comes to finding a place (ok, shower curtains creep me out!) however, I do have a car, kayak and mountain bike so a place that has secure parking and somewhere safe to keep my bike is essential, the kayak can stay behind and live with friends kayaks if needed. I am also avoiding apartments that do not have built in laundry facilities and require the use of a communal/ coin laundry if it can be helped but I will ignore this for the right housemates! Need to move ASAP!
I’ve just been offered a full time job in Boxhill, so looking for a place around Kew, Ivanhoe, Boxhill..... Very easy going, not much of a ‘party animal’ anymore. Found my new love in health and wellness and working hard towards my health goals.

I'm Friendly, clean, easy to live with, happy, energetic, polite and respectful.
Hello, My name is Ki and I am a HR Assistant full-time in Tullamarine, so I am looking for place around Essendon. I am neat, organised and respectful. Also I don't mind having fun every now and then ;) Current budget is somewhere around $200. I am looking for a place close to the station and tram (#59) stops, so if you have any room for me feel free to contact me Thanks =)
I would classify myself as outgoing and easy to get along with. I enjoy going out on odd occasions and socialising with my friends who also live around Melbourne area. Would be good to make friends with the people I live with; as well as that I respect peoples privacy, keep my space tidy and clean (most of the time haha), and am reliable. I'm currently studying at Swinburne in Wantirna south, although wouldn't mind living more in the city so that fun adventures and times can be had :)

Hi. I'm Shahram 38 yo. I'm very easy going, clean and tidy. I'm after a place to call it home. I respect other ppl's privacy but also happy to share a meal and have some chats even outdoor activities if you like. I have a full time professional job and just finished my master degree. I have a car and a parking spot would be essential. I love cats and puppies but not indoor, so I can't join if you have indoor pets. Looking for a FURNISHED one with PRIVATE BATHROOM. Thanks.
Looking for a private room to move in asap! I’m 22 from Wales, UK! Pretty new to living here in Melbourne (2months). I work full time labouring, building up my money after a long stint in Asia and having broke my hand the night before I flew here I’m well on the road to recovery, ready to settle and get out this hostel! I want to finally get down to cooking some good food rather than surviving on the eating out meals. I enjoy going to the gym (not had the chance since being away from uk), watching films, food, music festivals, chilling out and meeting others. I’m 22 so just some of the typical stuff really.. I’m always up for a laugh, going out, basically a sociable being, but as everyone I love my own space too.. I’m down to earth, laid back. When it comes to the important stuff I’m excellent.. I’m clean, polite and respect other people and their property! Simple!

HI!!!! I'm an art student at LCI Melbourne, and am in need of a place to live whilst I spend my time at uni and working from 7am to eventually be able to pay my HECS and support my butter chicken addiction. I love to cook and will happily make meals for my house fam, am into the best music ever (not at all subjective) and honestly spend most of my time out of the house. When I'm at home I will typically nap between shifts, study, make art and watch Netflix. Looking for a homely feelin' home with some fab people. XoX
I am Mar, from Barcelona! I finished my degree in Primary Teaching and I moved to Australia to master my English for a few months before applying for a master back in Europe. I would enjoy sharing an apartment with friendly and opened people, although I can respect your privacy and your option to keep things to you. I am clean, respectful and I cook. I like science and arts in general, but in particular I like to sing and play spanish guitar (although I didn't bring it with me). Thanks for taking your time to read it all!
I'm Eloise :) I'm 22, originally from Tassie but this will be my third year in Melbourne now. I am currently living in Flemington and dance full time as well as supervise a restaurant most nights a week :) I am a pretty social, easy going person, definitely don't mind a drink but also love my down time as well. Looking for somewhere close to where I am now as I work in the city and dance in Kensington so I need to be able to get to these places easily :)
Hey hey hey! I (ash) am a psych student at Swinburne by day and bartender by night. I am sociable, easy going, clean, and an adventurous 22 year old looking for a new abode. I enjoy a beer or bev after work (or uni) and exploring all the pubs, bars and restaurants over melbourne! Bush Doof enthusiast. I am also an aspiring actress and will often be off auditioning or taking workshops! I have all the essential furniture (bed, fridge, microwave, washing machine etc if needed) with the added bonus of a lemon tree and a herb garden!! xxx
I work 60 hours a week in Finance and Investment. Moved here from Perth, love a good frothy and socialising. love keeping fit and meeting new fun people but I also work a lot of the time so you will get the house to yourself for most of the week except Fridays and Sundays. However the big selling point is I need somewhere to park my Audi, which I know is a big ask but I cant really sell the vehicle so its a prerequisite. Feel free to ask me any other questions. Regards Dash
Hello! I'm returning to study a Masters of Animation and Interactive Media at RMIT and want to move closer to the city. I'm a non drinker, non smoker, very quiet and keep a clean living environment. I am looking to share with one other person, ideally close to public transport and for 12 months plus. Internet is important. I'm a computer person and that's usually where you'll find me, either working on creative projects, playing video games or playing D&D online with friends. I like to keep to myself, but am very happy to make some new friends! I've share housed before and creating a harmonious household is important to me.
