If you're looking for someone who is pretty laid back and chill, I am the one! If you're looking for someone dancing-in-undies fun, well, I assure you I'm the doing-yoga-in-undies fun person. But don't worry, I do it in private so you don't have to witness me doing hideous yoga poses. I lead a very simple and active lifestyle. I work full time in the CBD and I spend most of the day outside during weekdays. In the weekend, I'd prefer to stay in, cooking or learn how to bake (so you will likely get an edible treat!) I'm into exercise mainly because I love food. I'm also into yoga and spirituality. When I'm not working, I enjoy having a quiet day reading, writing or binge Netflix as well as having a drink or two over a good conversation. I'm organised, clean and tidy (I may like cleaning a little bit too much). I’m always up for an adventure, going for a walk or hiking. In addition, I've been on a lease so I pride myself for being reliable when it comes down to paying rent and bills on time. In saying that, I ensure that you don't have to chase me down the road asking for rent (although it could be a good exercise for both of us). Now, down to the business. I'm looking for an affordable room, something around $150-$200 pw plus bills or up to $230 including bills. In order to keep the environment clean and livable (I'm joking), I rely heavily on public transports. Therefore, a house close to train station or tram stop is definitely a champion! The room itself can be furnished or unfurnished as I have bedroom furniture. My current lease ends in December so I'm looking to move in late November or early December the latest and stay until April 2018, with a high chance for further stay and into long-term. Looking forward to meeting fabulous roomies so ping me if you have a room and are fabulous!
I work full time and also study so I'm very busy! I'm pretty quiet and keep to myself, but also enjoy the occasional social gathering. I like to think I'm a very tidy and respectful housemate, I value my personal space and the space of others.
Hey there! Im Shay. I'm originally from QLD, have lived in Melbourne for about 4 months now, working in hospo in the CBD. Looking for somewhere closer to work. Thanks (:
I'm easy-going, friendly, fun and considerate. I love living in share houses with great people, and have been doing so for over 10 years. I love animals and have a cat and a dog, they're small and pretty chilled out. I work full time in the arts. I like going to gigs, galleries and having beers in the sun.
Hi, My name is Natalie and I am in my mid thirties. I am looking for a mid to long term and furnished (but can be flexible) room in the Northern suburbs of the CBD and within a 15 min walk to a train station. Ideally I would a like an inclusive of Rent & Utilities around the $300 mark. I am neat and tidy and will keep the place presentable, but I am not OCD or a fan of a strict cleaning routine. I am a 9-5 office worker and outside of work I hit up the gym most nights and/or be lazy and opt for wining and dining instead but less often than not. Weekends are generally running around doing stuff or just socialising. I understand people lead busy lives these days, but I would prefer someone and or people that like to have a chit chat with their fellow flatmate/s on a regular basis. I am an animal lover so pets would not be a problem.
'm 25 and studying the JD at Melbourne uni full time. I also have a part time job at a family law firm in the city. These both keep me quite busy, I'm often at the library studying. This means when I'm at home I do like a relaxed and quiet house. I'm always up for a chat and a few wines though! I'm really clean and tidy and love to bake all kinds of yummy things. I'm also really organised with life so I'll always pay my rent on time and contribute my fair share to the house.
Hello! My boyfriend and I just arrived here from the US and are planning to stay here for a year. We are fun and active people. Jim is a web developer and I was an insurance underwriter. We are responsible and clean. Ideally looking for a furnished room or apartment but could also do an unfurnished room. Looking for a good part of the city with convenient public transit access and awesome flatmates if applicable. I enjoy volleyball and soccer, we both like rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding and playing flag (American) football. Thank you for you interest! Annie and Jim
Hey there! I'm looking for a new place to call home as well as meeting some absolute legends. I work full time and am hoping to start studying part time mid next year. I'm pretty chilled during the week and don't mind a couple drinks on the weekend. Also love a good Netflix sesh. I'm a huge animal lover and have spent the past 4 months house sitting and looking after 2 adorable blue Staffies. Shoot me a message if you think I'd be a good fit for your humble abode :)
Hi all who might be taking the time to read this! My name is Ignacio, a 25 y/o guy from Chile, but hey, please keep reading! haha I'm moving to Melbourne to study my master's in Information Systems at UniMelb, and I'm planning to spend also a couple of years in this city. I graduated from a public university in Chile in Organisational Psychology, and then I worked as an IT implementation consultant for a firm based in Toronto. As I was awarded with full graduate scholarship, I decided to come to Melb to start this new chapter of my life. I usually spend my free time biking around the city, and visiting new cafes and bars, if not a park -depending on the time of the day-. I also enjoy cooking at home, as it allows me to save a lot of money as well. At home, I'll be usually seen either studying, cleaning the kitchen -yeh, I'm a bit of an OCD when it comes to that, so I usually clean after myself immediately-, or having a good chat with my future housemates while enjoying a glass of wine. I'm quite house-trained as I've been living with flatmates for quite a few years now both at home, and abroad, with people from different nationalities, so I'm also pretty flexible and chill when it comes to get to know each other and their different habits. As a Chilean, my mother tongue is naturally spanish, but I have been speaking english also from a very young age, as well as working (and studying a bit) for a couple of years now, so communication won't ever be a problem. If my profile seems like a good fit for your houseshare group, please don't hesitate to send me a message as I'll be very looking forward to seeing them. If there's anything else you'd like to know about me, please feel free to shoot your questions! I'll be open to having long distance interviews/calls from now, and for inspections starting from the third week of January. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile!
I'm David, currently living in Carlton North, having moved to Melbourne from Sydney late in 2015. I work full-time (9-5) as a writer/editor for a not-for-profit, and recently turned 40 (very much younger in spirit and outlook, though 🙂). Interests-wise I'm a big music and art fan, and enjoy exploring bookshops, eateries, bars, parks etc, as well as seeing gigs, films, exhibitions and the like. As a housemate, I'm sociable, super-clean, considerate and respectful, very clean. I'm also vegan but have no issue living with those who aren't.
British working trainee looking for a room around Melbourne whilst i study, gain experience and work within the Plumbing sector. Looking for neat and tidy shared Studios, Households and Flats to join or to rent private. I am an avid Gamer and Techie being so i spend a decent amount of time enjoying my hobbies so similar people are always welcomed although anyone friendly and nice to get on with is just as good, I am a quiet person but can also join in on community or group activities happily. I would prefer to be in a house without smokers (I do not smoke myself) and although i love animals/pets (My family currently owns 3 German shepherds and a Boxer) i would rather not share living accommodations with any bigger animals while living in a smaller/shared space. I will upload a picture of myself soon. Thanks for reading. (:
Hi. My name is Joe. Currently working part time. Looking for a short term stay. Quiet guy who loves to get up early. Enjoy walks and runs and the great outdoors. Don't mind having a chat but just as easy keeping to myself. If your looking for that quiet person, I'm your man. Love to hear fom you.
Greetings guys My name is Munya Dhliwayo and I am looking for a place to stay. A quick information background on myself. I recently moved here from Perth in September. I have a full time job in the customer service call centre and I also have a bartending gig that I do on friday and saturday nights. I am a social person who is easy to approach, good sense of humor but at the same time I do respect personal space. I am a VERY CLEAN individual so there are no concerns there for you, I do always believe in paying my bills on time and if there are shared bills around the house I am willing to discuss them. Being that I am new to melbourne, kind of, my spare time is basically spent touring around the city and visiting new spots. I am very easy going and laid back, once you meet me I have the utmost confidence that you will get this vibe as well. Thank you
We are Dominic and Rachael, a couple of nature loving, dumpster diving, odd sock wearing rascals and we are looking for a happy home with the good vibes, from about mid-late November for medium to long stay. Ideally in the North but would consider elsewhere if it was the place for us. We are social and community minded but also like our own space for being creative- playing music, writing, reading, making things and playing games. Dom is an incredible cook and a feeder- like in a loving grandma way and he loves to share so our future housemates would be in for many treats. I am fabulous at eating but also have other interests like dog watching, travel, camping, yoga, cycling, hiking and going on random adventures. Doms other interests include cycling, playing Chinese chess and philosophy. He is a talented musician and plays classical guitar, violin and drums. His luscious hair and extensive collection of patterned shirts are a feast for the eyes but our future housemates will not be so superficial ;p We arent huge into drinking or partying but always up for fun times and a boogie. We are looking for a place with a garden where we can grow veggies and have chickens, that is animal friendly with other like-minded, respectful, creative and socially conscious individuals. If you know the place for us please let me know!
F, 23 years of age, vegan and working full time in the CBD as an environmental engineer, I am sometimes sent out to site on adventures. When I can I cycle to work and enjoy yoga, and gardening. I am respectful of others space, but would love to have housemates who are keen for wine and chats here and there. Looking to live with relaxed, friendly housemates with a similar lifestyle (working full time or engaged in post graduate study full time). Ideally hoping to find a larger home with 3-5 other people, which may/may not include couples. Of course LGBT+ friendly....and open minded/chilled out about the lifestyles of the people I might live with generally :) I am fairly clean, and am looking for a share house where it is understood that shared areas should be kept reasonably clean and everyone should clean up after themselves - i.e. no make up on the sink, no significant amount of dirty dishes in the sink for more than a couple of hours, clean up any mud or dirt walked into the home etc, common sense and mutual respect are key! I have lived in a few sharehouses, currently in a sharehouse with some great housemates but trying to find a nicer house, as this one is a bit drafty. So I am looking for a nice home to settle into, ideally well lit, spacious, and a decent sized backyard space. Also hoping to find somewhere that is decently insulated, has central air conditioning, maybe has central heating and hardwood floors.
I have recently moved to Melbourne for a full time permanent job. I am relatively quiet and easy going. I have a progressive world view. I have lived in shared accommodations previously, so I am house trained. I am also clean and tidy. I like to wash my dishes after every meal if possible. I play a bit of soccer, read and go hiking.
Hey there, my name is Liz and am looking for a fun, social house to call home. I work full-time, try to stay active and am always up for a family meal! I'm looking for a place to move into after the 11th of November
Well dressed, very clean and tidy, respectful of others. Moving houses to be closer to work, currently working full time as an Operator in Computer Security, twelve hour shifts. Four year old Maltese Shih tzu, extremely well trained. Smoker, but smokes outside, doesn't use drugs. Ideally wanting to team up with another individual or two to put our name on the lease, and really make it a home, but am still open to just renting out a room if I'm unable to find a team. Ideally looking for a location close to Ivanhoe, as that's where I currently work.
