Hello 😊 I am a recent graduate from Brisbane and moving to Canberra for full time work in the public service. People often say I am easy-going & responsible. I am clean and tidy and I also enjoy cooking. I like to get out on weekends to socialise, however I also value quite time. I love travelling, seeing places and trying new things.
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
Fun, tidy and easy-going, I'm a bit of a goofball, I like to keep the house in a reasonably clean state but am not OCD. I enjoy my quiet time but also love to sit around with a beer or glass of wine and have a chat. I have a pet cat who is very good with other animals and warms up to new people quite easily. I'm from country NSW but have lived in Canberra for almost a year now, studying and working. Would love to find a pre-existing place that accepts pets or team up with some people to form a new sharehouse. Ideally would like to team up with 2 guys similar in age who are cat friendly and looking to live in the inner North or South of the city. I usually spend time in the garden or going for walks, reading and I love hitting up Canberra's jazz bars and live music scene for a drink and a dance.
I'm a busy late-20s professional working full time in the public service. I'm from Canberra, have been living in Sydney for the last couple of years but returning home for work. I'm sociable and easygoing, extremely clean and respectful of people's space. I love fashion, food, reading, tv and movies.
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 28 and I'll be moving to Canberra in January for work. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Prefer to live with like minded people and become friends rather than just housemates.
Returning to full time work in the health industry after a year off traveling the world (currently ski instructing in Switzerland!)... Active, well trained flatmate who loves cooking and sharing a bottle of wine every now and then.
Hi. I work part-time at a large sporting complex and am also studying honours in psychology. I'm a quiet, clean and easy-going person who enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, sewing and crafty things, playing board and card games and just generally chilling and having a c
Hi! I'm a full time public servant and law student at ANU. I enjoy cooking, eating and having a few drinks with housemates but also happy to do my own thing. Looking forward to chatting with you :)
Neat, good personal hygiene, great company, hilarious and humble. Moving from Melbourne to the our country's fabulous (ahem) capital to further my career and pursue higher(er) education. For fun I like to eat and shop beyond my means, not exercise and read. A bit to much. Kthanksbai!
Hey! I am a mature, considerate, responsible and tidy person who loves my sport and is moving from Sydney to Canberra to study. I am very easy going and like to socialise but also keep to myself at times. I would like to move in for anywhere between a week to a few months at the least and then possibly longer depending on the situation :) Although my preferences are listed below, I am with any suburb/location in Canberra as long a there is parking :)
I'm John, 29, lawyer, moving to Canberra from Melbourne to join the APS. I enjoy cooking, wine, the outdoors, camping, and gym. I value good conversation but don't mind quiet time. I'm clean, friendly and easygoing, looking to make Canberra home for the next year or longer.
My name is Mina and I'm 23 years old. I'm a political science student from Aarhus University in Denmark. In January I'm moving to Canberra to work as an intern at the Danish Embassy. At the moment I live in a small apartment in central Aarhus with my boyfriend. I'm a happy and smiling person. I love to hang out with my friends, enjoy good food, a cold beer or a good glass of wine. I would be a good flat mate if you are the type of person who likes a chit chat around the kitchen table or maybe an after-work beer once in a while.
Professional looking to start a share house with one or two other people. Prefer 30+ and who are clean, tidy and trustworthy. I travel for work a bit so am not always home. Will be relocating to Canberra in Jan 17. Yes, I am in my 40's (insert sad face here) but I am very sociable and am down to earth and love to be able to have a laugh with my roomies. On the flip side am respectful of needing space and downtime. I stay fairly quiet during the week as I am an early starter for work, but do enjoy a wine and a chat, especially by the end of the week !! Love to cook and am happy to share a meal or go to the local ...
I'm a 22 year old from Adelaide who is moving to Canberra in late January for a one year contract in the Australian Public Service. I completed my Construction Management degree recently and have previously been working in Local Government/Council. I'm quiet and easy to get along with and my interests include photography, computer gaming and being outdoors.I cook occasionally, sushi is my favourite dish to prepare. I'm a tidy person who doesn't smoke and enjoys an occasional drink. I fly over on Jan 30 and need to find a place to live by mid Feb. I'll also need parking options for my car.
Hey! Mid-20's female looking for a place in the inner north or south. Easy going, neat, friendly and clean. Love playing sports and always looking for my next micro- adventures. You can usually find me out and about on the weekends and playing in a social comp during the week.
Hello! 24yo here about to move down from Sydney to start a role in the public service. While not really into partying til late, I love meeting new friends and will gladly have some fun over food, drinks, board games n movies. Most often found chilling on the PC/laptop and listening to music (got headphones to keep the noise covered). It's my first time moving interstate but i've previously lived a year in Japan. I respect people's space/privacy and always clean up after myself. I love travelling and visiting museums and national parks - pretty excited to see what Canberra has to offer so will probably spend weekends out exploring when not taking a break at home. Flexible around moving-in dates however the starting date for my full-time job is in the second week of February. Preferred length is stated as 6 months but is really flexible. Ideally looking to share with other young professional females. Always happy to team up and establish a small sharehouse of 2-3 like-minded people also!
22 years, Final Year Law Student working part time, love sport, have lived in some form of shared accommodation since I was 12. Seeking a fun but relaxed sharehouse with similar minded people.
I'm a public servant, from QLD but have been in Canberra two years. I love cooking, especially for others and am super organized, tidy and considerate. Looking for an easy going, clean and hungry house mate who's happy to share a glass of wine of the weekend. I love podcasts, books and terrible tv. I'm coeliac, so as long as you're happy to use opposite sides of the toaster we'll be fine! I also don't have a car so any parking space is all yours.
I'm Jared, a friendly, respectful, tidy and fun 25 year old environmental science student working fulltime in the public service. I am looking for a room to rent and a new place to call home, in a reasonably central location. I lead a reasonably active and social lifestyle, playing sport, cycling and hiking. I like hanging out around the house/going out for coffee and having a yarn. If you feel that I'd fit in, don't hesitate to send me a message. Cheers
Hi guys, I'm 27, single, clean, easy going, very friendly and a non-smoker. I love cooking, comedies and going to markets on weekends. I'm moving to Canberra in late Jan/early Feb to work full time in the public service in Civic. Any place close to Civic or close to a bus stop with off street parking would be great. Ideally I would like to move into a place with other women, but I'm open to other arrangements depending on the flatmate.
I'm a finance graduate from Melbourne, just getting started with a public service job up in Canberra. Working full time, I'll gym most days, go out for drinks on weekends and try to get out to do some outdoor sports/activities every so often. I enjoy watching any new movies/Netflix with whoever is interest and can keep to myself whilst sharing the occasional meal or cooking up a storm together. I'm mostly looking for a team up, I have a small but new fridge, a washing machine and microwave I can bring to the apartment so I can save you a little cash! Currently in temp accommodation in canberra until Feb 3rd so I'm free to catch up whenever if you want to discuss options!
Hey I'm Dylan, a Canberra native in my mid-20s about to start a grad job with the Department of Health and looking to move a little closer to work. The job is a full-time position starting early February. Ideally I'd like to move late January but am very flexible with when this happens. I'm quite active and enjoy riding my bike, going to the gym and playing lots of soccer. I also like reading and playing guitar (or at least pretending I can). I am friendly but also fairly quiet. I enjoy socialising and quiet time in equal measures; I'm always up for a chat but also respectful of personal space. I like to be out and about but also enjoy a slow night in and am keen to try new things. Clean, considerate and chilled (the three Cs) and looking for a place with people who have similar values.
Easy going, active public servant looking for short-term accommodation to June/July before heading overseas on posting. House trained and will provide wine and cheese.
I'm a 32 y/o male working in the public service. I'm pretty chill, enjoy a beer and some banter, not a huge fan of winter (who is?), tidy, clean and dot have much stuff (including furniture). Don't have pets and don't smoke.
I'm a Melbournian with a double degree in Accounting and Economics. Just picked up a graduate position at the Department of Agriculture. If you need good coffee or your tax returns done, I'm your man. I've got a wide range of interests and don't mind being adventurous by trying new things. These include board games, kayaking, running dinners, experimental cooking, etc. I'm a fairly laid-back individual who values cleanliness and mutual respect. If there is anything else you wish to know, shoot me a message. Thank you, Andy
Hi! My name is Nicole, I'm 25 and have just moved to Canberra from Sydney for a 1 year contract new graduate job in the hospital. I'm looking forward to exploring what this lovely city has to offer! I love good coffee, wine and baking.
My name is Kate, I'm 24, and I'm moving to Canberra in January to start working full time with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. I'm currently living in Melbourne, but I grew up in Tasmania, so I have a very keen interest in the outdoors - I love hiking, snowboarding, and I've just bought a bike and I'm getting into cycling! On the weekends I like to either head off somewhere for an adventure, or go hunt down some live music or a dance floor. Some of my favourite things are Disney movies, perfectly ripe avocados, making up Game of Thrones theories, and the smell of clean bed sheets. In terms of my housemate-style, during the week I'm a bit of a homebody; I love sitting on the couch with a glass of wine (after heading to the gym if I'm keen enough) while eating some kind of carb with cheese on it. I enjoy living with people who have got their own things going on, but are down for a family dinner on the odd occasion everyone is home at the same time.
I am a hardworking professional who is clean and social. In my spare time I enjoy chatting with others with a glass of wine in hand, watching TV or trying to motivate myself to complete my Masters degree. Due to Personal circumstances, I will only be around a few days a week.
Hey, I'm a 25 year old working professional. I moved to Canberra in January 2015, but have been living overseas for work for the past six months. I'm pretty laid-back, and am respectful of peoples' personal space and privacy. I'm equally happy to do my own thing or share a meal/glass of wine/beer after a long day. Let me know if you would like to catch-up to see if we are compatible as flatmates! Cheers, Hamish
Hey there! I'm Grace and I'm about to leave my home town Melbourne for the capital city. Currently homeless so here I am...I am about to start a new job in the APS and am moving up in a few weeks. My move in date is flexible, but would be sometime in February. I am not sure what length of lease etc I'm looking for but open to different options. Outside of work I like to find great brunch spots and great coffee, go to the gym, relax, go on Netflix binges and so on. I'm a low key kind of person especially during the working week so would love some people to relax at home with who also won't mind if I chill out in my room alone sometimes. I am a clean and tidy person and am looking forward to making a new home in Canberra. I would be open to furnished or unfurnished options. I'm a pretty relaxed house mate, I'd love to make some new friends so let me know if all of that works for you and you have a room or need a housemate to find a place with :)
My partner and I are very sociable outgoing people. I absolutely love the kitchen and we love to have house dinners and occasionally like to have a sunday sesh. We are hard workers, love the outdoors and are very tidy people.
Hey guys, My partner and I are looking for accommodation from around mid february. I'm Laearna, a 24 yr old mechanical engineer relocating for work and Will is a 24 yr old naval architect who i am dragging along with me. He who works remotely for a company in NZ. We are friendly people who like to laugh, get outdoors for adventures, spend nights out with friends or stay in with a drink cooking up something delicious. We are clean, respectful and easygoing housemates and have both lived together and in share houses before. We would ideally like to team up with another couple or some friends and find a place to lease together but would also happily slip into an existing share house if someone was willing to take us. Please get in touch if you think we would get along :)
I am independent and like a clean and tidy place. I'll buy food and am happy to share. Im fun and a positive person, not a party animal anymore time has caught up with me lol. I'm trying to save for a deposit so this accomodation will assist with achieving that goal much quicker.
Hello :) I'm Hannah and I'm a Kiwi :) Recently got a got with the ACT Ambulance Service as a Paramedic so I'm looking for a place to call home. I'm still in NZ at the moment but want to move in mid-Feb. I'm hoping to find a place I can move straight into so I can avoid the cost of temporary accommodation and storage fees. I'm relaxed and easy going and I know how to clean, and do regularly. I enjoy the outdoors, learning, eating good food and relaxing over a glass of wine with good chats.
I'm a really friendly person who is clean and respectful of housemates. I work with the ACT gov currently but will be starting a graduate job with the federal gov in March. I'm looking for a sharehouse on the inner south side that is close to the bus line. I'd also prefer female housemates or a majority female house. I don't have much furniture- a queen bed, some boxes of books, clothes and kitchen stuff. If you need a certain item for me to contribute to the house, I'm very open to buying anything needed. Most importantly I'm looking for a home, a place where the housemates talk and hang out periodically would be great. A little about me: I have an architecture and project management background. I'm currently doing a Masters of Town Planning part time online. I'm from Melbourne and have lived in Canberra for a year (moved here with an ex) and still have much yet to see and do in this beautiful city. I'm very creative, I enjoy crochet and knitting to relax. I also enjoy camping, hiking and travel adventures. Send me a message if you think I might be a great fit for your sharehouse. Cheers, Olivia
I am a full-time Journalist and moving from Sydney to Canberra to work as the company's political correspondent. I am clean, neat and tidy. I am quiet and generally like to keep to myself, but love to hang out and have a chat after work from time-to-time. I have never lived in Canberra before, so am also hoping to make new friends. I am hoping to move ASAP. Although I have listed my moving date as the 19th of January - this is flexible. As I live in Sydney, I am happy to Face Time or Skype, but will be happy to come down to look at the room if I have others lined up on the same day to make the travel worth-while.
I am a student from the University of Queensland looking for a place to stay during a one month internship in Canberra. I am originally from the UK, but doing a Bachelors Degree in Brisbane. I'm an easy-going and tidy individual, who loves to get out and explore the city that I'm in!
I'm a recent ANU graduate who now has a graduate job in Canberra. I love to learn, am easy to get along with, respectful and tidy. I'm particularly interested in learning Mandarin, so living in a house with native mandarin speakers would be a huge bonus. My hobbies include running/exercise, soccer, reading, watching movies occasionally, learning about random stuff, travelling. I'm not much of a partygoer, however, I enjoy socialising and meeting new people.
Hi all! I am super clean and organised person who loves meeting new people. I also love to cook and trying different things as much as I can, when I'm not, Italian is my go to. I'm a very adventurous person who absolutely loves snowboarding. So heading to the slopes on the weekend when I can will be a definite and I also welcome others to join me.
I'm looking for a short term stay (3-4 weeks) before I head overseas for work I'm a professional, early 40's guy who is active, laid back and respectful. I started work in Canberra late last year and require something temporary till I head off in a couple of weeks time. I'm easy going, clean, no mess, no stress, no fuss kinda guy. Looking in around South Canberra preferable Kingston which is close to work.
I'm looking for an easy going place to live with my 10 year old cat Steve. I'm a public servant, work full time. I enjoy playing tennis, swimming, reading, cooking & spending time with friends & family.
Originally from the Gold Coast, I'm moving to Canberra to start a job. Clean, organised and friendly. I love to cook, run, garden and read in my spare time. Enjoy some shared meals but also like my own space and privacy. Non-smoker, active and a full time worker, I am looking to find other roommates who are similar.
Hi, I'm currently a student studying at the ANU and will mostly be out of the house/apartment in the day at uni. I'm pretty sociable and like a chat and movie here and then, but I'm also usually out of the house hanging with friends :) If you need space, I'm also pretty good at keeping to my self. I don't throw parties and do like to have the occasional friends over for a movie or games night, but even then, it's pretty rare (1-2 a week). I've lived in a share house for the last year and it's only due to lease expiring that I need a new place. I don't mind anywhere Northside Canberra as I have a car so I'm pretty flexible with location, but close to the city would be preferable. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
Hi there, My name is Nelson. I'm 21 years old and have recently completed a degree in International Studies at Deakin, Melbourne. I am seeking a room for a 3 month period as I will be undertaking an internship with the Australian Institute of International Affairs in Canberra. I'm friendly, easy going and always up for a chat or a laugh. I will probably be focused on the internship predominantly, but am more than happy spending time with housemates and relaxing. I am attentive, clean and respectful, and mindful of others in their own space. I would preferably like a furnished room, or one with a bed provided at least, mainly so I don't have to cart all my stuff up from Victoria. So please get in touch if you have a room available. Thank you.
I have recently accepted an offer to work full-time for the Department of Veterans' Affairs as an ICT Graduate. I have just moved from Brisbane to Canberra, and am looking for accommodation. I would preferably like to move into a place as soon as possible. I am twenty one years of age, and have recently completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Information Technology, with a major in Software Development, from Griffith University. I am an easy-going, considerate and sociable person, and am a strong believer in cleanliness. I have a passion for travelling and enjoy playing computer games in my free time.
I'm a fairly recent graduate working full time in the public service. Sociable and keen to make friends especially if that involves chilling out with a glass of wine. I like cooking, reading and going for nice walks around Canberra. Looking for a room for about 6 months, with guys or girls around the same age as me.
I am 45 but I don't feel old. I'm happy to live with younger people and I have a young outlook on life. I work very hard - leave for work at 6AM and sometimes not back until 8PM. So plenty of privacy for flatmates. I enjoy cooking, watching movies and netflix, etc. Happy to cook and share meals or to give my flatmates privacy. Love to enjoy a drink or two with flatmates. My partner lives in Sydney and I visit her every second weekend. Sometimes (rarely) she visits Canberra.
Hi I’m Von and I’m moving from Sydney to Canberra to commence a Graduate Program in February with the APS after finishing a Law degree. I’m generally a clean, quiet guy who enjoys reading and is into fitness. Non-smoker who’s up for a chat over a drink but respects personal space as well.
I have just finished my Honours year in archaeology. Moving to Canberra for a graduate role that begins mid-February with the National Library. I am 26 years old. Well travelled, quiet, and a laid-back individual that likes to both socialise and spend time alone. I love to cook (my current roommates say they will miss my cooking), I clean up after myself, and more than happy to pitch in etc. I enjoy a few social drinks after a long week, enjoy an occasional Netflix session or movie night, and I love my yoga. I have a Mazda 2. I am also a bit of a nerd. I'm looking to share with people (male or female), close to Barton, or close enough to public transport to make that trip for work. I will be working full-time commencing mid-February 2017. Happy with a house, apartment, studio etc. I am looking for a shorter lease at this stage (6-9 months) while I settle in to Canberra, and look for a more permanent house where my beautiful Border Collie can join me eventually. If I find a suitable place straight away, I will be looking for a long term lease.
Hi I'm Sam, a 25 year old lawyer moving to Canberra as soon as I can find a place. I'm easy going and laid-back, love having a drink and meeting new people - I'm also tidy and reliable. I will have my own furniture for the room, a new lounge, TV and other bits and pieces. I also have a Golden Retriever who would be with me most but not all of the time.
I am a 24-year-old female moving to Canberra for a full-time grad role. Currently living in Melbourne, I am very easy going and a pretty good addition to any trivia team. Looking for a friendly and welcoming place for the start of 2017. I have four-ish solid signature meals that I am happy to wow you with. They don't even involve a microwave! It's all very adult. I am pretty independent and am very conscious of remaining respectful of housemates and their varying circumstances. Ideally I would love a place where everyone is happy and capable to do their own thing but come together for a glass of wine or meal where possible. I also have a deep-seated affection for bad TV shows and would love someone to occasionally enable me in this :)
Hi! I'm Kat and i'm looking for a place to live in Canberra in February 2017. I'm moving down from Queensland for a graduate role and am hoping to live close-ish to the city with a few other people (male or female). I will be staying in accom provided by my department from Feb 4th - 21st and will be looking for a place during that time if you'd like to meet for a drink in person. I'm easygoing and a go-with-the-flow kind of girl who likes to socialise, but I also like my alone time and respect others need for privacy. I am clean and tidy (but not too obsessive about it) and love to cook! In my downtime I like to work out and explore new places. Ideally would like to live with someone who can be a respectful housemate, but also a friend - the kinda people down for Mexican Mondays, GoT sessions and a drink and a chat on the weekends :)
