Hi, I'm Tessa, moving from Canberra to Melbourne in March! I'm pretty easy to get along with and am a very chill housemate- not a neat freak but definitely respectful of communal areas and always happy to chip in and help out. I work in hospitality and am pretty social- I enjoy heading out to try new restaurants and bars (without bringing the party home), playing social sport (Touch football, AFL 9s or Netball at a pinch), watching and performing in musicals. Ideally looking for housemates in their mid to late twenties who are as happy to hang out, enjoy a good glass of wine or a gin and watch a terrible (ie. quotable) movie as they are to do their own thing and enjoy their own space. Get in touch if you think I sound bearable or if you have any questions!
I'm from Spain where I have shared flats for the last 5 years, so I know what important is to be clean, tidy and to respect each others. Also I'm a very easy going, funny, like chat and I helps for a good atmosphere at home
I am Danish, 25 and doing a master of Biotechnology at RMIT. Just finished the first semester, and am therefore looking for something long term (1,5 years). When I am not studying, I spend a great deal of time going to the beach or having beer/wine and good food with friends. I have previously worked a lot with beer at Carlsberg, and at a beer bar with the largest selection of beers on tap in all of Europe (fun fact), both in Copenhagen - now I'm trying to find my way through the large selection of Australian craft beer, and could definitely use a bit of guidance from future housemates! Also, I go swimming a lot, do a bit of rock climbing and go for the occasional jog. I love the outdoors, so will probably by going for a few weekend trips whenever I have time. Also I am trying to learn how to skate... Still undecided on whether or not that's a good idea though - always looking to try something new, some projects turn out more successful than others... I am quite social and I might have mates come over once in a while, but I will always be considerate of my fellow housemates, as I've lived in all sorts of shared house constellations, and know the importance of mutual respect. Think I generally clean more than most people, which doesn't bother me, and never seemed to bother any previous housemates (surprise!). I laugh a lot, live my life drama-free, and generally don't take myself too seriously, would prefer to live with like-minded people, ideally in a house where we actually share a home, and not just live in rooms next to each other. Get in touch if you think I might be a good fit for your home.
Fun, Happy and easygoing South African looking for a private room in shared accommodation - looking for something modest and neat. I am a young working professional with a stable permanent office job in the Civil Consulting Engineering field. Moved to Melbourne half a year ago after accepting an intra-company transfer from Durban South Africa to work on some major VicRoads and PTV projects. My specialist short stay Visa has now been converted to a four year 457 Visa with Permanent Residency thereafter, so I can now commit to more permanent accommodation, sign a lease, buy some furniture etc. I am fluent in English, a Non-smoker with sober habits who has got their sh#t together in life and doesn't sweat the small stuff. Looking to live with people who feel the same. Focussed and hard working during the week, although I do love socialising and going out, and I'm always out exploring and enjoying everything this great city has to offer - definitely not a couch potato or the awkward silent type. Interests include longboarding, snowboarding, mountainbiking and cycling, surfski paddling, hiking and any kind of adventure in general. Oh and, I'm South African - which means amazing braai skills :) (Braai = Barbeque)
I’ve just returned from a semester abroad in the UK to finish my genetics major at Monash University. When I’m not nerding out over CRISPR, I work part-time at a restaurant in Richmond, mainly on weekends, so I’m not home much during the day. I like spending time outdoors and have a mediocre ability to run long distances, play tennis and ultimate frisbee. I like getting to know people, and I’m always up for a coffee, glass of wine or checking out a local gig. However, I do respect that other people have different, busier schedules, and can appreciate the need for space and quiet at home. I come with a couch if there is the need/space and a car if you ever want to take a trip to the beach (it does fit a surfboard). I don’t mind if the room is unfurnished, I am flexible with the move in date and can sign on to the lease if need be. Ideally, I am looking for somewhere I can stay until the end of November (at least). If you have any questions or just want to know what on earth ultimate frisbee is, send me a message! Cheers
Hey, I’m Jaime! I’m new to Melbourne, I’ve been here for about 2 months - currently living in St Kilda. Looking for somewhere close to this area. I have two jobs and developing business assets outside of work so I’m a fairly busy person but like to chill and relax when i can! Super friendly and down to earth, looking for a place in a share house with people who don’t mind a good chat and have a happy living environment. Feel free to message me if you’re interested :)
Friendly, honest, clean, enthusiastic and active ( cringe - writing this is the worst!) . Lived in Melbourne for 5 years then went back to NZ for 1.5 years for a work contract, but now I'm back. I like to get out and about doing exercise things, walking, exploring or some sort of activity with friends and having a place that I can feel comfortable to have friends over for a dinner, board games etc now and then . Occasionally like to have a night out but more often than not I'm pretty low key and enjoy relaxing, cooking, watching tv, movies and reading while at home. I work full time as a Project Manager and also own a businesses on the side with my best friend so I'm quite busy. I also have a long distance boyfriend who lives in NZ so I'll sometimes be away over there and he will occasionally visit me in Melbourne. I'm really just looking for a nice home to share with good people that enjoy some banter and a living in a homely, welcoming atmosphere.
Very laid back guy looking for somewhere to end his stay in Melbourne. Very social but also understands that some people prefer their own space. Respectful of others and runs a fairly tight ship when cleaning up. Always up for a laugh, but working 5-6 days per week so gonna be keeping it quite chill
Hi there, I moved to Melbourne around three months ago from interstate. I've been travelling around from state to state looking for my place in the world over the last 8 months and believe I've found it right here in merry old Melbourne. I'm looking to meet cool new people and get to know Victoria better. I'm very much a newb when it comes to this awesome city and I am on a quest to find Melbourne's best pizza. Bit of a nerd when it comes to tech and the natural world. Some interests include gaming, books, movies and all sorts of music. I also write, have a history in animation and game design and even did a brief stint as a potter. I also like rock climbing quite a bit and as for camping, well, don't even get me started. I run my own digital marketing biz so a fast internet connection is a must and I work from wherever, which most days means at home. Oh, and my name, Jan, is German... I'm totally a dude.
Hi People, I am an italian guy, in my 30s, Ph.D. student (with scholarship) and Scuba diving professional. I am looking for a place to stay during the next three months. Usually really sociable, I will be sometime overwhelmed with the Ph.D. requirement, but always happy to have dinner together or maybe just a glass of good wine. I've been sharing places for quite a time now, so I am pretty skilled in this field. Thanks Simone
I'm a Singaporean born final year paramedic student looking for someone to team up with for a year (possibly more). I'm looking for someone similar to me, equipped with borderline OCD so that our place would be a home to come back to. Though my first language is english, I am able to speak basic mandarin, cantonese and korean. More than half the time I would be in my room playing videogames (dota or dark souls), reading, studying or napping. I tend to be out mostly for foosball (table soccer), uni, work or motorbike rides. Contact me if you feel like we'd make great housemates. Cheers
Hi, i’m Hannah and my boyfriends name is Tom. We are both from England, 25 and looking for a place to rent for the next 6 months! Tom is an engineer and I’m a graphic designer, we’re friendly, professional and tidy! We have respect for others privacy but equally enjoy relaxing and being social. Keeping fit, exploring and meeting new people is a passion of ours so if you’re looking for a couple to share your home with, we may just be the perfect flatmates for you!
Hi! My name’s Dani - I’m 25 from Boston, MA traveling to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa, and looking to stay in Melbourne. Plan is to work as a yoga instructor and/or waitress to support my travel for the coming months. Looking for a clean, safe, smoke-free, and social place to serve as my home base. I’m a great roommate for the following reasons: I’m respectful, organized, fun, and easy to get along with...and I’m great at doing dishes.
Hi I am from India Moving to Melbourne to pursue my masters degree from rmit university. I love to make new friends and I am an easy going person and get along with most people. I am clean, very tidy and have no problem putting in and doing my share. I would like to share with someone who i could interact with and chat to but also have my own personal space.
I'm a 25 year old financial consultant working full time in the city. I grew up in San Francisco, CA and went to university in Los Angeles, CA. I have dual citizenship and have recently moved out here to be near my 3 brothers who have all grown up in Melbourne. Something unique about me is that I've backpacked for 16 months in Southeast Asia, China, Tibet, and India. I've also completed 400 hours of yoga teacher training, but that feels like another lifetime ago. Between work and gym I am hardly at home except for the evenings. I believe that home should feel like a safe and comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day to completely unwind and relax. I'd be great to live with because I respect personal space and privacy. I am a tidy and organized individual who is flexible and carries a positive outlook on life. I do enjoy going out on the weekends, but I also balance it out with living an active lifestyle, spending time with my family, and having quiet movie nights. Would be keen to team up with someone for a nice modern apartment east of the city (with private bedroom + ensuite bathroom). Preferably someone who also works full time, likes to go out a bit on weekends, but still lives a balanced life
