I am a Sydneysider and soon I will be moving to Canberra to begin my new career. I will be starting my new position from 6th Mar so I'm looking forward to move on 4th evening or the 5th morning. I will be traveling most of the weekends to Sydney. I can easily get along with people. I am friendly and would love to walk around or watch movies in free time. As my office is in the London Circuit I prefer areas within walking distance (15/20Min).
I am a 23 year old public servant who moved to Canberra at the start of the year. I enjoy cycling and socialising with my friends. I am friendly but unobtrusive. I am happy to chat and share dinner or give each other space. I am flexible and understanding. I have pet rats. They are in a cage. Clean, quiet and unobtrusive.
I'm a mid-twenties recent graduate - just finished up my masters at ANU and looking for work in the public service. I'm working in hospitality in the meantime. I'm relatively new to Canberra and moved here from Adelaide at the start of my degree. I play basketball 3-4 days a week and am fairly social on weekends - prefer a casual drink at home/the pub but don't mind the odd outing. I try to keep myself fairly busy. Looking for a place with friendly people who are down for a chat every now and then. I am respectful of space and just as happy quietly reading as I am watching television/cooking with room mates.
Having signed my life away for the next 3-4 years to do a PhD at the ANU I am looking for a place closer to uni and work. I am easy going and always up for a bit of a laugh, I also like to keep busy and do fitness (which is lucky as I am a big fan of cheese and wine). Having spent long periods of time living in Cambodian and Malagasy jungles (yes jungles) I am pretty easy to please when I comes to living but I really don't enjoy shivering my way through Canberra winters. Perks of living with me include: 1) Having access to an impressive activewear collection. 2) Visits from an adorable dog. 3) No longer having to worry about being the most embarrassing housemate. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hello! We are a couple from India who are in Canberra for study. We both like socialising at times and having fun together. We love to cook, and love sharing it too, but we are vegetarians and don't mind our room-mates cooking or eating a non-veg meal. Most of our friends say we are quiet people. We will be working part time and attending lectures most of the times. Probably we would be at home on weekends to rest if we don't have our jobs. We are laid back and chill people to live with, and we'll give you plenty of privacy. Feel free to contact me!
I work in property, am quiet and keep to myself most of the time but do love an occasional chat over food. I am clean and respectful of people's space. My interests include cooking, poetry and Netflix.
Moving to Canberra from Sydney for a gradate agricultural science job with ACIAR. I'm tidy, friendly and active and am looking for a happy household where we can do our own thing but also like to get together and share a drink, watch a movie or hold household masterchef competitions. I'm new to Canberra so I will also be keen for random expeditions to new cafes and farmers markets. I'm into permaculture, sewing, wine nights, exploring, yoga and camping weekends. I have lived in many share houses, in Australia and overseas so I'm easy going and know how to clean up after myself.
Hi there! I’m Bec, a 26 year old APS grad from Queensland. I moved to Canberra in January and have been staying with a friend temporarily while I look for somewhere permanent. I am hoping to not have to move too far away from the city as I have family that live in Braddon and I work in Civic. I am looking for a room that is unfurnished as I have my own queen bed. I also have a dual cab Toyota Hilux so off street/underground parking would be preferred. My budget is $250 per week and I can pay a bond of 6 weeks in advance. I like my own space but also enjoy a glass of wine or dinner with friends at the end of the week. I like pretty much all sport but am a lifelong tragic Broncos fan, if I sound like someone you could live with please flick me a message :) Talk soon! Bec
I'm a very social person but love my quiet time. I'll be spending most weekends away and working full time but love to watch the telly at night after work. I love dogs if you have any! Very clean and easy going. Potentially looking for my own bathroom and a car space.
Hi there! Currently living in Melbourne (have all my life) with an upcoming prospect to move to Perth for work. The move would not be till May or early June if successful. Currently working full time and would be completing a traineeship in Perth full time. Very relaxed person and tidy, non smoker. I am a very social person but also do respect people's privacy as they would mine. Love to be by the beach/water and going to good local coffee shops & social bars. Sport is a huge part of my life, watching on tv, live or at a bar. Attending gigs/concerts and just being out of the house is what I like to do on my days off. Like to let my hair down on the weekends and looking for like minded people that love to entertain and opening up their social group to their flatmate/s if personalities suited. Enjoy the outdoors, music, strong focus on being active. Travel is a massive passion, Australia or overseas having done solo trips. Currently only have a prospect of being in Perth for the year but after that Perth may become a more permanent home. Possibility of friends flying in to visit once in a while, would be ideal if they would stay in the home but other accommodation can be arranged if this does not suit. Would be looking to stay with other people in their 20's that have are professionals that live in a share house with friends or other flatmates. Not looking to stay with married couples. I would be bringing across my car, will be need a place to keep this (street parking is fine). Good internet is a must and would love to stay with someone who loves a good Netflix binge sesh of the latest tv shows with a glass of wine. At the moment I will only be looking at this site time to time until the date gets closer to approval. I will contact suitable listings once this has been confirmed. For this time please do not contact me prior as I will not be able to accept your offer :)
Hi! I'm Ash, I'm a 23 year old medical student and am moving to Canberra for the year to complete an honours year in medical research at Canberra Hospital. I love being outdoors, and enjoy going running, hiking, cycling, cross country skiing (I'm an instructor and would be happy to teach you how to ski!), swimming and more, and also love music, playing piano, guitar and singing (but not in front of anyone). I am a tidy, clean and respectful housemate, and love getting together for group meals when possible and chatting.
Hello! My name's Hanna and I'm turning 20 in April. I've been living in sharehouses since I was 17 and as such paying rent and bills on time is a passion of mine :p I'm in the hospo game, being a bit of an all-rounder. Currently I bartend and work in catering/events. I don't have any pets, but in saying that, any animals you would have would be a huge plus! I enjoy cooking, camping, art, trying to skateboard and would love to be a part of a socially conscious sharehouse.
Jack and I are a young Australian couple looking to start a life in Canberra. We are both working part time whilst at ANU. We enjoy socialising and going to cafes/bars/restaurants with friends on a weekend. We are both active people who really appreciate a clean, tidy living space. We are non smokers and love all types of animals (but do not have one ourselves)
Looking for a FURNISHED ROOM 11th of March - 1st of April (3 weeks) Hi! I'm Soph, a 24 year old female who has just moved to Canberra to start a job as a public servant. I am moving into my own place soon but I need a FURNISHED room for a couple of weeks from mid March until my place is available (all my furniture is in storage at the moment). I don't need much, just a bed really! I'm from Melbourne, where I've been renting with housemates for 18 months. Before that I lived on campus at uni so I know how to live well with others. I've loved getting to know my housemates, chatting over a bottle of wine (or two..) and a meal and having them become great friends. I'm friendly, easygoing and am very keen on cleanliness. I've always kept my place very tidy and am no stranger to household chores! I like cooking (still learning!) gardening and yoga. I'm also a huge animal lover so would be very happy in a house with a pet. I have a car and so can come and visit/view houses after work on weekdays or anytime that suits you on weekends.
I am a young woman originally from Adelaide who moved to Canberra for full time employment, and now I've been here for 5 months I'm looking to move closer in to the city. I'm looking for a place where I can be comfortable in my own skin; where I can be sociable and share a glass of wine or a beer with a meal, and where music is appreciated. I'm also a keen baker and would love to find people that are happy to share in the odd cake or pavlova with me. I'm active, and appreciate getting out and hiking and exploring as much as possible. I'm friendly, tidy and respectful, and partial to good coffee with long breakfasts on the weekends.
Hello potential house mates! My partner Natasja and I are looking to team up with some like minded individuals or couples and start up a new house. We're both young professionals, Natasja a cafe manager at a very reputable cafe and myself as head barista and trainer at a local coffee roastery. We are both very adventureous, enjoy fine dining, obviously coffee obsessed (yes that means a great cup of coffee When you wake up on Sunday hungover), active, wine enthusiasts, foodies, respectful of privacy and clean. We're looking for housemates that like to be social, have family dinners and the odd glass of wine and good banter. If this sounds like you then get in contact and let's catch up for a beer.
I’m a research scientist at ANU, looking to move into a share house in the Inner North. My move in date is flexible from tomorrow until mid-May because I have a generous arrangement with my current share house. I’d love to live in a fun house with other young professionals. Send me a message to get to know me better.
Hi everyone. I am looking for a nice apartment for a six month stay while I wait for my new apartment to be built. I'm a full-time professional, nice (it matters!), clean and keen for a place of calm at the end of the day. I've listed central Canberra suburbs only, but would consider anywhere that has an express bus service (20mins) to the city. Jason
Hi! I'm Tash, I'm 21 and currently in my third (but not quite my last) year studying International Relations at ANU. I'm a born and raised Canberra girl, and am looking to move out of home in order to be closer to uni and work (part-time as a swim instructor/coach). I spend quite a bit of time out and about, and can often be found either swimming or at the gym, but I also love to chill out with Netflix and a cup of tea (T2 New York Breakfast, if you're interested). I like to keep organised, but am very easygoing and happy to help out around the house in any way possible! I'd love a long-term place to live, and am flexible with move in dates. Please don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
Hi, I am an international PhD student . I have been Australia in a year and a half. I like to keep my room clean. At the weekend, I like learning cooking. Best
Sydney (for the moment) based young professional. I'm clean, tidy and always up for adventure. I love to read, listen to podcasts and to watch stand up comedy. Bonus points if you can talk literature, music, quantum physics, cosmology and/or Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Extra bonus points if we can talk politics and if you've heard of Ira Glass. I'll be moving to Canberra to take up a new job and looking to meet new people too!
Stephen and I are relocating for work and need temporary accommodation until we find our own home. (6-12 months) We are easy going couple who likes to have a good chat but also appreciate some alone time. Please let me know if you want to chat. Santana and Stephen

I am born and bred in Canberra. I am looking for a place to reside until around June/July of this year when I plan to move to Melbourne for school. I am extremely clean, cannot stand mess, clutter or dirtiness. I have already lived in a share house once before and it was definitely for me. I really love my own down time, but I am always willing to have a chat and hangout. I have absolutely no problem with smokers. I'm not much of a sharer or food if I'm being honest; grew up with 3 siblings, so like my food and my space. I am a big socialiser and love a fun night out drinking and dancing. I am currently working in hospitality, pretty much all early morning/daytime shifts. I would love a cruisy place to live, but am very, very big on being clean and tidy.
Hi there! My name is Edwina and after an impossible experience in the Canberra rental market I'm looking to be somebody's new flatmate. Along with having a steady income, and studying at the ANU, I'm really interested in health and fitness, clean and tidy and good company (I hope). I'm looking to move in as soon as possible for a minimum of six months and hopefully long term :)

24 years old, final year economics and science student at ANU. I'm looking for a place to finish my degree after going abroad and working in Sydney last year. I think I’m pretty relaxed and easy going, looking for a friendly sharehouse. I'm always up for a beer or house dinner, but overall i'll be fairly focused on finishing my degree. At the same time i can be relied on to pick up my share of housework and bills. I have share housed before and can provide references from housemates and rental agencies. I can also provide records of passing house inspections with no issues at previous properties. Hit me up! i'm looking to move in somewhere ASAP so super keen to have a chat and check a few properties out
My name is Gabi and I am a third year international relations and development studies student at the ANU. I love going to see live gigs, camping, being at the beach, politics and the odd bevvy. I'm generally super laid back, clean up after myself, enjoy socializing, meeting new people and learning new things! I would like to live with people I enjoy hanging out with but am also comfy with having my own space.

Hey! I'm moving from Sydney to Canberra towards the end of Feb for work and am hoping to find a roommate. I have just graduated from UNSW. I have experience with shared accommodation so am mindful of other peoples privacy, and am a clean and tidy person. I enjoy being active (hikes, jogs), reading and cooking. Since I'm new to the city, I am hoping to team up with someone who is interested in being friends as well :) I'm not a big party person, however I do enjoy a glass of red at the end of the day whilst I'm cooking and listening to music in the kitchen- unfortunately I am a terrible dancer and this will generally surface around this time. Preferably, I'd like to live with only one other person but am open to more if it suits. Please hit me up if I sound like someone you'd be interested in living with.
I'm a 26 year old female student from Amsterdam, currently on exchange at ANU. I'm clean and sociable, I like cooking, and I'm big on arts & culture, so I'm hoping to explore everything that Canberra has to offer during my stay here! I have no allergies, I'm great with pets, and I'm overall a very easy-going person. I accidentally took five gap years between high school and uni, spent quite a few years in Berlin, Melbourne and England, and am now dedicating my time to (political) philosophy, sociology and art theory (feel free to mock the uselessness of my degree).
I'm working full time as a management consultant in PWC. I'm chill and sporty. I've travelled Asia, Europe and Africa and would love to meet travellers alike. I'm a clean freak that I might sometimes clean the house so others don't have to.
Considerate, respectful public servant. I like to chill over a beer or a DVD.
I'm a bubbly uni student, whilst I love to go out and have fun with mates I am quite happy to stay home and keep to myself. I have 4 guineapigs but they are kept in a cage & make no impact on anyone else in the house.
Hey potential roomies! I am moving down from the Gold Coast at the beginning of March for work and I'm super keen on being your flatmate! I'm 22, work full-time in Media and will very much need a spotter at the gym/need to be told the best places to go for a jog.. (not compulsory) My other hobbies include most sports, a lot of travel, cooking to an okay standard, good coffee, surfing badly, anything outdoors really! Preferably, I am looking for someone who is clean, tidy, doesn't mind a drink every now and then... however we all need downtime so that will be respected. I've also got a Netflix subscription so that could be yours at your disposal. Any other questions just drop me a message. Looking forward to meeting your awesome self... I'm hoping to prove my mates that Canberra is more than freezing cold temps and the Raiders!
I'm a mature male currently doing my PhD at the ANU. Originally from Bali. Been lived in Melbourne for three years and been lived in a share accomodation before. I'm sociable but love some privacy as well. Occasionally drink during the weekend and having a small chat would be great.
I am looking for a room. I am a middle aged man who dabbles in writing, performing and counselling. I am 'spiritually' minded, for want of a better word. I have been either house-sitting or renting for a few years after the end of a long relationship. The place I was in Mort St Braddon was sold. I have temporary accommodation thanks to a lovely friend. I like to meditate, go out to places like The Front Cafe or Smiths, art openings and other things around town. I have a lot of friends of different ages. I like reading and going into the bush and I can cook well. I cannot drive as I have a genetic eye disorder but my brain seems to compensate a lot; so other than driving I am quite functional. I am pretty clean and tidy. I can pretty much talk about anything and I am quite 'chilled.' Also, I have plenty in my bank account to pay rent with, just not enough to buy; I am also on the visual disability pension Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
I'm a very friendly and easygoing 26 year old, working full time Monday-Friday. I like to live in a clean and tidy place, I clean up after myself and happy to share chores/housework. I always keep my rent and bills up to date and paid on time. I enjoy being social with housemates but at the same time, I respect housemates space and privacy to do their own thing and also appreciate my own. I don't have a preference for housemates gender. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and baking, getting fit, good food, drinks, music and getting out and about - but also sometimes just relaxing at home with a netflix binge! I have no problem with housemates having friends/guests/partners etc visiting and staying however I'm not into 'party' houses and don't host parties. Overall, I am looking to live in a nice, tidy and relaxed place with someone friendly who shares similar interests :) Please get in touch if you'd like to chat more :) My moving date is also flexible.
Hi! My name is Trish and I'll be moving from Sydney to work full-time at the UNHCR in Canberra. I'm very easy to get along with, tidy, very social, but I also respect personal space and alone time. I'd love to be in a shared house with friendly and similar people. For fun, I enjoy exploring, good food, the outdoors, movie marathons and reading.
I'm a qualified chef but prefer to work out the front in bars making cocktails at Akiba. Originally from Albury but have spent a long time working in Canberra within the hospo scene. I spend most of my spare time eating out or chilling out to a movie when I'm not working. Looking for a place ASAP
Hey there, my name's Ajit, I'm a Melburnian who'll soon be moving to Canberra (around February 11-12) to begin a Masters degree at ANU. I'm looking for a place to stay during my degree (up to February 2018 preferred). I'm a clean and friendly tenant who's respectful of one's space and privacy. I can keep my room in a bit of a clutter, but I'm quite aware of cleaning up after myself in shared areas, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. As a student, I'll be studying at uni mostly but will also spend time studying at home and working part time on the side (as an uber driver/hospo). I'm an average cook and do enjoy cooking for myself, but am also happy to share a meal now and then. Also enjoy a bit of banter after uni/work. I haven't moved out of Melbourne before so I'm keen to make new friends. If you're interested, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you :).
I am a bubbly 21 year old who was born and bred in Canberra, currently working part time while studying at University of Canberra. I am looking to move into another share house/apartment and have previously been a part of two separate share houses and have loved both experiences . I enjoy cooking and keeping active through social sports. I also enjoy spending my spare time around local cafes and bars and am keen on making new friends. While I do appreciate the social aspects of life, I am respectful of others personal time and space and like to keep things clean.
