Hey there!! I'm an American backpacker currently on a gap year before I attend university in 2018 back in the States. I'm visiting Australia on a working holiday, and as of writing this am travelling down the well-beaten backpacking trail from Cairns to Sydney! I'll first end up in Sydney at around the middle of November, where after a couple of days to decompress I'll start looking for jobs and a place to live if I haven't found one yet! I should have a couple of weeks left on my bedhopper hostel pass to get me through to the very beginning of December. I plan on working over the summer from approximately the end of November to the middle of March, and it's during those three-to-four months of time that I'm looking for somewhere to stay. I'm looking to bartend ideally (although if push comes to shove I'm not picky), so I might come home at odd hours (although I'll absolutely be as quiet and respectful of your sleeping schedule as is humanly possible). I'm primarily looking to save heaps of money over the summer with access to an amazing city to explore (hence why I'm trying to beat the odds and do so in Sydney as opposed to a cheap town somewhere), so I won't be keen on more than the odd night out, which would make me a pretty easy-going and low-maintenance, albeit nocturnal, roommate. Would be much more a fan of board games and drinks on a night in with friends. I'm also trying to learn to cook as best as I can (that's one of my summer goals!), so if you're good with trying a variety of potentially-terrible-but-hopefully-brilliant dishes and dealing with strange smells as I furiously clean the kitchen to get rid of them as I get better at my craft, we'll make a wonderful team :) I consider myself a very clean, chill, and diligent person that would make a lovely addition to practically any group as long as you're keen to have me. My preferences with regards to roommates are around the ages of 18-25ish, clean, looking to talk and hang out (I'd love to be your friend especially considering my social contact is limited to other transient backpackers and my 14-time-zone-away friends at home), and respectful. I'm one of the most laid-back people you'll ever meet for 99% of things, and flexibility is also something that I appreciate in others. Bonus points if you're into indie rock, scary movies, or romantic comedies as those are my three culture passions! Otherwise--I'm a cat lover, wannabe writer, music maniac, budding globetrotter, tea fanatic, and avocado addict who would love to meet you and see if I fit into your place!
Hi! I’m Micayla, originally from New Zealand but I’ve lived in Sydney for 3 years now. I’d fit perfectly in a house that likes to be social on the weekends, and enjoys a wine or a cocktail. I love to keep active on the weekends also so if you’re in to the gym, coastal walks etc, that would be great. I’m also a pretty good cook and will whip up meals fairly often!
Hey, I'm Khal, I'm from Indonesia. I used to live in Brisbane for 2 years and now moving and have been living in Sydney for 5 months. I'm now looking for accommodation that is close to UNSW as I'm doing masters there, or, if it has to be far, I want one in the city. I'm reasonably clean, tidy and organized. I usually spend most of my weekdays at the library from 9 am to 7 pm, and spend the weekends to go out or relax at home. I like to drink wine or beers at night so I need somebody who's ok with it. I'm really chill and like to chat and interact with my housemates but also respect their privacy. I don't really invite people over, but I don't mind if my housemates invite their friends as long as they can keep it reasonably quiet.
Hi! I'm looking for a short term accommodation till mid December with close public transport to the CBD. I work long hours so won't be home much other than in the evenings and on the weekends. I'm looking forward to friendly flatmates and making new friends to explore the city with. Please let me know if you have anything that suits my requirement. Thanks!
Postgraduate Medical student at MQ, always down to chill out/ have a casual drink, will spend most of my time at the library but also definitely enjoy exercise/chilling out! Looking for a sharehouse with young working professionals who are easy to get along with :)
I'm keep to myself most of the time, love to socialise when I can. I need to get out more. I have my own buissnes that keeps me busy. Im a tradie painter. So im always a mess when i get home so love my shower. I'm respectful and honest. I do like the convenience of things... pretty much ocd. Love to help others where I can. I like working on cars a couple of beers. Don't like trouble. Love my tv and fitness but lacking in that. Rented once for 2 years and moved back home. Silly mistake. Time to get back out there. I'm single. It Important that I have a car space that's secure?
I'm 28, Canadian here permanently (been here 4 years and looking for a place to live long-term only), a registered nurse in a GP office (no shiftwork, normal work hours!), I love fitness, enjoy spending my free time with friends doing coastal walks or going to the beach. I prepare most meals at home but enjoy eating at restaurants as well. I'm very friendly, sociable, and tidy, and I respect the privacy of my housemates. Solely looking for a private room within 10 min walk from the train station.
Hi Peps.. I am an IT professional seeking a home to live. I am a chilled out guy who likes to mingle with people around but also respects privacy. Likes catching up for an odd drink or dinner over weekends.Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the house is a top priority.
I'm from Savannah, Georgia USA and will be doing a 6 month internship starting in May 2019!!! I'm currently living in Auckland, New Zealand, and have been told Sydney is way cooler :) I am so the opposite of high maintenance and would rent a tent if I could but not sure that is possible so here I am. I deleted my Facebook and Instagram about a year ago so that is why I don't have any listed on my profile. Very down to earth with no drama trying to find the right place with the right peeps.
Hola! Looking for a gal (or 2) to team-up for a place. - I work close to full time in financial services and also study at MQU - I enjoy my alone time consisting of falling into the weirdest depths of youtube, but also would enjoy having someone to de-brief with at the end of the day about bizarre workmates or to mung-out and watch some-what terrible reality television with - I make good tacos and stir fry, and love baking (when I have the time..) - I come with a fridge, washing machine and netflix account - I have a deep appreciation for cleanliness (whoever makes a mess cleans the mess is my mantra) Message me if you want a clean, responsible and friendly gal to live with :)
Hey, I'm Grant I'm moving to Sydney for work and was looking for a nice place to live with some good people. I'm 22 and just graduated from university in Brisbane. Love a good coffee and getting to meet new people. Will be pretty busy with work but in the off days would like to explore Sydney and see some new things. Working right dead in the city so if there's public transport close by that would be wonderful. Grew up right near the beach so love to go for a swim and hang out. Love a bit of sport as well. Thanks
Hi I’m Dean, 33 years old and work full time as a electrician. I'm easy going and open minded and I enjoy being active and social whether that be having a few drinks down at the pub, going to a festival, having a BBQ, going to the beach, getting out and about around Sydney, playing sport (golf, soccer, tennis, rock climbing) I will give most things a crack. I'm after somewhere I can call home not just somewhere to crash, that's neat and tidy and has a good vibe between housemates. I always pay bills and rent on time I've sub leased rooms out before I understand how important that is. If you have any questions or want to catch up to discuss further please get in contact. I'm also interested in teaming up with someone as i already have all the furniture needed. Cheers, Dean
G'day! Originally from Germany, I've been living in Sydney for over 4 years now and currently looking for a place to stay for a year or longer. I'm studying part time at the moment, as well as I'm setting up a businesses, so I'm working quite a bit - still always up for a chat in the evenings, don't mind the occasional drink either. Love sports, especially football (the one you actually play with your feet), so sporty flatmates would obviously be a plus. I've been living in shared places for more than 4 years now, so I know how to be clean and respectful. If you think it'd be a great fit, flick me a text or email and I'm looking forward to catch up! Cheers!
Hey there, I'm James. Easy going, sociable and relaxed. I'm reliable and keep things tidy. Happy enough to chip into the cooking together or manage my own thing. Looking for a nice spot with friendly housemates who can enjoy each others company, that still offers a little personal space too
