Hello! I'll be moving to Canberra from Melbourne in January 2018 to commence work in the public service. I'm primarily interested in Barton or northern Kingston areas as I want to be close to work but would be willing to compromise for something in the inner suburbs within bus/cycling distance. I'm flexible in terms of house or apartment, but would prefer to share with similarly aged housemates. I'm clean and tidy, respectful of others' privacy and can contribute some furniture if necessary. I'm a food enthusiast, big soccer fan and always up for a drink or two. Let me know if you're interested!
I'm a second-year law/political science student at the ANU. I'm pretty easygoing but love to have fun sometimes. Most of the time I'll be either studying or working, so I won't really bother you, but I'm happy to chat over some wine as well!
I am a full time worker at a law firm in the city, originally from Melbourne but been in Canberra for uni for 5 years now! I am looking for a fab new pad from Jan 2018. I am friendly and enjoy a chat or some wine but also love my alone time. I am house trained and respectful of other people's space!
I'm a full-time public servant with a very fluffy cat named Una. I enjoy some good Netflix as well as a glass of wine or scotch at the end of the day. I'm a regular exerciser and an amateur writer. Anyone wanting to live with me must be clean and willing to take care of my cat if I ever have to travel (a favour which I will gladly return if you have any pets). I'm looking to team-up with folks to secure some good, pet-friendly accommodation.
I am full time public servant. Like to BBQ meat and and have a bevvy. Will be starting a full time degree next year and am trying my hand at crossfit. I play the guitar and love music. And go a little crazy for the rugby.
I'm a friendly, mature and responsible woman looking for one or more housemates. I don't actually have a place to rent out/share with others at this point - I'm just putting my feelers out to find potential housemates. I would like the company of a friendly housemate, but I'm not in a rush to move. I would rather wait and find the right person(s). Planning to stay in Canberra for 12-18 months, then move to Melbourne. I would prefer to pay between $150-200 per week, and live in an inner south or inner north suburb (e.g. Kingston, Yarralumla, Griffith, Lyneham, O'Connor). I'm very accepting and non-judgemental, as well as being queer/trans/ace friendly. I'd like to live with other LGBTI-friendly and open-minded people. My main interests are psychology, visual art and spirituality. I'm fairly quiet and often keep to myself, but enjoy chatting with housemates from time to time. I have a partner who visits but never sleeps over. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or party, so I would prefer to live with people who are similar in lifestyle to me. I want to live with people who have good communication skills, and can raise problems directly and honestly. I'd prefer somewhere pet friendly as I do cat fostering, but it's not essential as I don't have any long-term pets. P.S. I'm not a vegetarian, and I do eat meat fairly regularly - just thought I'd mention this in case it's a dealbreaker for some people!
I'm tidy, happy to keep to myself or socialise, conscientious and considerate. Also a pretty decent cook! I work retail for my day job but am also an illustrator and printmaker and sell my wares at the Kingston markets on weekends. I have a small scruffy dog named Eg, who depending on housing may or may not be moving with me. Currently living in NSW, moving to Canberra for work.
42 year old Male looking for a short term stay while i settle into new job & find my own house. I wont be around most weekends & will be working 10 hour days while staying. I am a non smoker & non drinker fit type of guy. I am easy going, honest, respectful & thoughtful of others , friendly, funny clean & domesticated.
- Recent graduate in International Studies/ Event and Tourism Management @ UC - Easy going attitude but have had years of share house experience (so well house trained in communal etiquette) - Can make a mean cob loaf - outdoorsy and on occasion will attempt the gym
Hi, I'm relocating to Canberra to start a government graduate role. I've lived in a sharehouse in Melbourne for many years and have really enjoyed living with my current and past housemates, so I'm hoping to recreate that in Canberra. I'm friendly, laid back, tidy and come with a very cute & well behaved little dog (Maltese x Cavalier) who will mostly keep to herself, but will be happy to see you and curl up with you on the couch once she gets to know you. I can also come with furniture if necessary. In my spare time I love cycling, hiking and going to life drawing classes. I'm hoping to share a house with 1-3 other people of similar age & life stage.
22 year-old, clean, friendly new-grad health professional from North QLD with a miniature dachshund. I like to keep active but also enjoy a glass of wine or beer at the end of the day. I don't really know anyone in Canberra but love to meet new people - I'm very easy to get along with and have an open mind. Looking for a place that is pet-friendly as my dachshund is an inside dog. It would be great if I could find somewhere with a courtyard ect. for him. He is very quiet and loves cuddles from everyone.
Hello, I've recently moved back home to Canberra after travelling around the country with work. I'm very happy to see that in that past 10 years Canberra has really become a fabulous city with great food and lifestyle available. It wasn't like this in the 80's trust me! I am a clean, open, friendly mid 30's professional seeking a flatmate with a similar life outlook as my own. I am a open gay male who is easy to get along with and very easy to live with.
I am laid back, friendly and tidy. I've recently finished a master's in ecology and am moving to Canberra from Geelong for the ACTPS grad program. I love getting outdoors and also paint, read , swing dance and bushwalk in my free time. I am a vegetarian non-smoker and love animals (but I don't have any pets). I am seeking to share a house with like minded people. Flick me a message if you think I might suit your house 😁
Hi everyone! I'm a friendly and creative artist looking for a place to call home until March next year. I graduated this year with a degree in film/media arts and I have an interest in many things, including writing, playing guitar and drawing. By nature I'm easy-going and have no problem keeping to myself (my hobbies can keep me quite occupied), though I also like to hang out and do fun stuff with people- I won't shy away from socializing if that's happening. When it comes to daily life, I keep my surroundings tidy and respect others' space and privacy. I work most weekends and some days during the week, coming and going regularly- and quietly. You won't have any housekeeping dramas with me, that's a promise. If you're looking for someone to share a place with and you think I might be a good fit, let me know and I'd be happy to be in contact! Cheers, Jolinda
Just a first year ANU student who got kicked off campus-accomodation. Desperate to find a female roomie who wants to stay near campus/city in a 2 bedroom apartment, and we can start looking together. Don't smoke, or drink & party (excessively). Fun, friendly, clean and tidy person.
Hey, I'm looking for a room in Civic, Braddon, Turner, Acton or Reid, with a strong preference for a place with my own bathroom and car park. I'm very much flexible with move-in dates. I moved to Canberra from Perth at the start of the year to start a grad position in the APS. Next year I’ll be working at the same department and I’m also considering doing my Master’s part-time at ANU. I’m 24, single, a non-smoker, pet-free, I don’t take drugs, etc. I’m also extremely neat - I’m happy to send a photo of my current place! I’ve lived in a number of share houses over the years (with both guys and girls), so I’m pretty easy to live with. I know how to be social while respecting that people need time to themselves! I’m a big fan of social sport, cooking, music (I come with headphones), and solid TV series (Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Veep). Let me know if you think I’d be a good fit! Cheers, Sam :)
Hi there thanks for checking my profile, I am making a big move from sunny Brisbane to cool Canberra. I am very chilled and easygoing guy, always clean after myself. Love chatting with my flatmates and the occasional drink as well as hangout once in a while. I am a software professional and I am working for a Canberra based office and will be moving from Brisbane start of November. Looking for a place to move into with friendly and responsible flatmates ideally a bit close to the city(no particular suburb). I am fairly active and and keep myself busy most evenings either having dinner with friends(although I do not know many people in Canberra yet), going to the gym and I love latin dancing, have been doing that for years and end up going to some of those events few nights a week. I try to play a few sports but but almost bad at all of them(still play for fun)! When I am home I love to watch movies, some TV shows, cook sometimes, relax and have a conversation and work some times. I am not a party animal but like partying once in a while. Please message me if you think I am someone who you would like to live with and have a comfortable room to share :-) We can have a chat and go from there!
Hey! I'm a 2nd year science student at ANU looking for a new place to live! I'm really friendly, clean, respectful and keep to myself but am always willing to be social! I'm easy going and think of myself as a very versatile flatmate 😊
Hi! I'm going into my third year of study at ANU and looking for somewhere to live! Coming out of a residential college I'm used to being social but also keen to have some personal space. I currently work part-time bartending so my hours some days can be a bit off but I try my best not to be too loud or distracting if I'm up and about. I also try my best to be clean and tidy, having lived in a residential college I'm used to shared environments and know what is necessary to keep things smooth running. I like to think of myself as an optimistic and fun-loving person. Animal loving, netflix watching, wine drinking student who doesn't mind a night out. I'm from Sydney so I do disappear every couple of weekends to go home., but over all I'll either be killing time at uni or procrastinating in bed. Overall, I'm easy going and happy to talk/live with anyone, I'd think of myself as a very versatile flatmate. Courtney :)
Hello, we are both studying at ANU. Edmund loves to cook while I love to bake, which makes us the perfect housemates because the house will always smell of amazing food. We love watching movies and TV series in our free time. We are both clean and tidy so the house is always quite neat.
I'm 19 years old (20 in November) and working full time while studying my diploma of children's services. I'm easy going, fairly quiet but would be happy to chat/watch movies as well. I love animals, reading, and listening to music. :)
