I'm a 24 year old guy who has relocated to Canberra just over a year ago. Work in the public sector. I am looking for somewhere to live preferably over a year and beyond but anything over 6 months is decent. I'll tell you a little about myself. I especially enjoy time at the the beach and exercise when I can, cooking, netflix and walks up any close by mountains are also my hobbies. I consider myself to be a clean and considerate person. I'm a very social guy and enjoy a good chat and the occasional bev on weekends. However can respect anyone's privacy and enjoy some time spent alone too. I'm also likely to travel interstate quite often so most likely not always gonna be home. I often have a busy lifestyle but find balance to be very important. I'm easy going, love to meet new friends and share experiences. I have also had more than 5 years in house sharing experience. I also have a brand new humungous LG fridge/freezer and new lounge pull out sofa bed thingy with storage that can be of use to the home. My potential roomie must be able to fail a criminal background check, preferably because of time spent in prison, you must have enough pets to classify your room as a small zoo, and you feel the need to explain how your ex screwed you over in your reply email. I'm just kidding. I cook lots of chicken nuggets but can actually cook a decent feed and absolutely love cooking and sharing with my roomie/s every once in awhile. I'm a decent human being often finding myself wanting to help people for no other reason than they are human. If I sound alright, let me know whats up. I don't expect y'all to kick out your significant other/best friend/elderly grandmother to let me move in but. Cheers✌️ Marley
I've just returned to Canberra after living abroad for 4 years. I love travelling, the outdoors and playing sport. I am clean and respect people's privacy but also enjoy down time with my housemates, especially after a long week.
Hello! I moved to Canberra in 2013 to study at ANU and then started working as a public servant at the beginning of this year. I'm a friendly, hilarious (in my unbiased opinion), neat and tidy person. I'm respectful of others and very open minded. I love cooking, reading, and doing arts and crafts!
Hi there I'm Steve, a 27-year-old professional moving to Canberra after stints working in Wellington, Sydney and London. I'm an experienced flattie - and non-smoker - who knows all the drills as far as cooking and cleaning goes. Laid back by nature, I'm looking for an easygoing place to stay when I'm not working, travelling or otherwise outdoors soaking up the sun.
Hi everyone, I'll be moving to Canberra in early Feb to start a role with DFAT, and am looking for a room in a clean and cosy house in Braddon/surrounding suburbs (but would also be open to anywhere near Barton, which is where my office is located - essentially I am after somewhere that is close to the action but from which it is also easy enough to get to Barton). I am a 25 year old lawyer, currently living in Melbourne. I am pretty social so will often be out and about, but otherwise can be found doing yoga, playing hockey, cooking, doing a spot of volunteering, going to gigs or having a glass of wine and listening to music at home. If wanted/needed, I come with kitchen goods, a medium-sized TV, a record player/speakers + a fledgling vinyl collection and lots of pretty plants. I am looking for mature and social housemates who are clean and neat. I also have friends and family that have promised to visit from Melbourne, so on the off-chance you have a spare room, or the room is big enough for guests, that would be a huge bonus! Move-in date is flexible - I am looking to move in early Feb, but would be happy to cover rent earlier for the right place.
I am looking to relocate from Newcastle to Canberra to study a masters program at ANU. I have about five or so years experience living in sharehouse arrangements. I am neat, clean, responsible and quiet. I enjoy a friendly household where the tenants engage in polite conversation, and I am also conscious of giving people space and privacy.
Hello! I'm Shreyam from New Delhi, India. I'm 22 years old and I'm an astrophysicist in-training who has recently graduated from engineering school. I'm going to be a research student at ANU for roughly 10 weeks starting January. I work hard but I also like to kick back and relax. In particular, I love binging on Netflix and am crazy about football (soccer). I like company, but I also value my personal space and so am respectful of others' as well. I would prefer a furnished place, close to ANU, but I'm open to unfurnished accommodation as well. Hit me up if you're interested!
Originally from Newcastle I've moved to Canberra to study Actuarial Science at ANU. I'm carefree and very easy to live with. I enjoy relaxing at the end of the day by bingeing tv shows or having a few beers. I'm tidy and like to keep to myself but also happy to have a chat.
I am a 23 year old male from Melbourne, and will be joining the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2018. I'd like to think I'm pretty relaxed and easy to get along with, which will make for an easy share house situation. I am quite a social person, and enjoy going out with friends and meeting people. I am also very neat and tidy, and quite a good cook. I don't smoke or do any of the traditionally annoying house mate things. As for hobbies, I love reading and playing sport. I also really enjoy having an interesting conversation and meeting new people.
Let me introduce myself to you, my name is Ross I'm looking for some people and a place to call my Schloss. I'm very neat and tidy and I'll clean up all my dross, and on a weekend morning I'll cook breakfast like a boss, then afterwards, because I'm hygienic, I'll prob'ly floss. Of an evening we can sit and catch up on some goss. Then if there's time we'll go outside, I'll beat you at ring toss. I'm not a douche, I hope that isn't how I've come across.
I am a very sociable person (but fall well short of being a party animal). I'm a student, so I know the value of privacy for both myself and others. I don't smoke, nor do I use recreational drugs, and I only drink sporadically. I'm a reasonably tidy person who is more than happy to help out with housework. I love football (both playing and watching), gaming, and watching classic-era Simpsons in my spare time.
I’m an IT professional working for a city based law firm. I am friendly, approachable and easy to get along with. I like to cook and always like to keep things clean, neat and tidy. I like to socialise and meet new people, but value "me time" and relaxation. I'd prefer a night in over a night out, though I enjoy the occasional fun night out with good people. I'm a bit of a gamer and tech head, but also love to get outside in the sun and be active. Having my own car makes getting around easy and I bus to and from work. Moving dates flexible as is duration of stay.
HI there, We are looking for two rooms to accomodate ourselves (Mitch & Bonnie (couple) and Tiffany) and our lovely dog Billie (labrador cross). Billie is sweet-natured, well-mannered, and has been house trained. She is taken for a run in the morning and when we get home from work, and is happy to chill out by herself during the day and when we're not there. She is also very, very cute. We all work full time in the APS, are clean, respectful of others, enjoy yoga, gardening and watching trashy TV. Can also cook up a storm. If you need any more info please contact us! Cheers, Mitch, Bonnie & Tiffany.
Hi! My name's Tim I'm searching for a housemate and a new place to call home! I'm 25 and work full time here in Canberra, although I'm originally from Melbourne. I'm an easy going guy who is neat, enjoys cooking, loves weekend chats (wine in hand of course) and I also do plenty of sport and hobbies to keep me busy. Ideally, I'm looking to join a place with a friendly and social vibe or to team up with another person who wants similar things from the apartment to get our own awesome place! I'm up for shared weekend dinners and enjoy the occasional movie night, good book or a night on town. As I work full time, I'd like to have a fairly chilled house Monday to Thursday that gives everyone enough space to do their own thing. I've lived in share houses for a few years now and I'm very respectful housemate's need for space to relax and recharge and am always happy to pickup house supplied and share the essentials. I am looking to get a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, but I'm also open to anything that has a roof and good housemates. If anyone has a spot available or would like to look at apartments with me as a team up, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks, Tim
I am a friendly and tidy housemate, who loves a chat over a coffee but also respects other people's space and privacy. I'm reliable and considerate. I will be starting my medical degree at ANU next year.
Managing a retail store in Canberra Centre. A peaceful preferably furnished bedroom with ensuite, clean and tidy.. a place to call home, free from any anxiety or unexpected surprises is what i am after As much as i enjoy a wine on the occasion i am not here to be clubbing, pulling all nighters, or bringing random unknown strangers home around the clock.. In saying that, your life is your business and so long as i can get my sleep we will get along just fine. I am not loud, arrogant and think it's extremely important for you to meet me and make that judgement for yourself. Being able to connect with people of all walks of life comes naturally. Be genuine, honest, reliable and have a sense of humour at the best of times! i am very much straight forward and open to any questions you may have to ask or want to know, so please don't hesitate. I have worked in retail and specifically luxury cosmetic retail, with a diploma in beauty therapy, also qualified as a Allied health professional. This will be my first time living away from Melbourne initially i was seeking to take up accommodation by myself, however after much thought; it would be nice to know i am not completely alone, in saying that its just knowing that there is someone else under the same roof every now and again. Jordan.
We are a respectful and mindful couple to live with, considerate of shared/communal and personal spaces. You can rely on us to do our part to care and clean for the home. Coming from Melbourne, we are excited to explore what Canberra has to offer and would love to be friends with our housemates as well. Feel free to message to get to know us better! Best, Jane & Peter
Hi all! I'm a recent enviro eng grad who is moving up to Canberra to work full-time in an APS role. I'm looking to move from anytime in January. I have no pets, am a non-smoker, I am tidy, I’m also a little bit introverted but I'm working hard to change that! I'm environmentally conscious and I love cooking plant-based meals, which I am more than happy to share (if anyone is interested). Other than that, I'm pretty easy going.
