I’m someone who makes sure things are always clean. Am capable of cooking and jobs that are essential around a house I currently work till midnight most nights. I’m also currently studying at Vic Uni in Footscray. Collingwood supporter.
I'm 26. I'm very easy going, friendly and try to lead a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy my own space but I like to socialise often. I enjoy being outdoors and exploring nature. I like reading, yoga, hiking, riding my bike, going to gigs, red wine on a Friday night and meeting new people. I work for government and I do voluntary work for a NGO. I am very neat and tidy and I'm always on time with paying bills and rent. I look forward to hearing from you :D
I'm Hayley and I grew up in hawthorn and went to school at mlc. I've been in the north the last 5 years and am now in the west. I'm looking for a place inner west. I have worked for 11 years full time as a production assistant for a book and film production company but decided to follow my true passion, fashion. I have been doing modelling on and off for the past two years as well as studying it online. I'm also actively looking for work and receive centrelink. I am clean and tidy, reliable, respectful, friendly, easy going and trust worthy.
Hey there potential new homemate! Just so you get a little bit of am idea about me... I work full time as a bartender in the CBD, while also returning to studying at RMIT for one finial unit in semester 2 next year. I some how I manage to make it all work, while maintaining a social life. I'm not one throwing house parties often, usually just a housewarming, then I can never be bothered ever again haha! I am naturally a night owl, due to my industry, and I love have a drink after work on the weekend, while my days off are usually pretty low key or just at home making sure everything is clean. I come with a super cute, small, friendly, well trained dog, so im looking for a place that is open to taking in a furry pup. I love all animals and my dog is pretty good with all types as well. When I am home I enjoy a couple of glasses of wine or cold beer in summer, while cooking and a good chat over dinner. I'm super passionate about food and good drinks, hence working in hospitality! I also love art, painting, seeing exhibitions, reading and trying out new activities like burlesque and pottery. I'm a big fan of indoor plants and greenery, so I will probably fill the house with that. I'm hoping to find a place that isn't just a place, but a space that feels like home, and would love to find someone that is sociable and friendly, not just strictly a housemate who keeps to themselves. Would really love to start a new house with some easy going, social, friendly and like-minded person!
House-proud, clean, social, respectful, communal furniture, team ups only. discussed in more depth below. Hi All, I'm Andrew, A 29 year old Disability Support worker. I value friendly, courteous, mature people who are proactive in self development and considering others and the environment around them. I am very house proud and reflect this within my ideals of cleanliness, which is centred around the idea that we clean up after ourselves in communal areas after use and maintain our home and furnishings to a high standard to reflect how proud we are of our home. Living within the home I respect my fellow housemates by doing my best not to disturb them while sleeping or relaxing. I enjoy time together in communal areas as much as time to myself in my room, whether it be sharing dinner together, playing a boardgame or simply having a chat while we occupy the same space. I enjoy sharing the good and bad parts of our days and offering each other inside from a third person perspective. I consider housemates as family. I'm looking to start a home with people who are like minded and encapsulate the above. My hobbies within our home would be playing video games, cooking, gardening, the occasional dinner party or board games and relaxing on my bed. My leisure pursuits outside the home usually consist of Cultural events, visiting friends to play video games or watch movies/tv shows, lasertag, assisting friends with renovations, camping, going to the beach, and a range of other random activities. My work as a Disability and Aged Care Support Worker sees me working weekdays and weekends assisting people to develop and maintain a value of life they aim to achieve. This involves me cooking or cleaning for people, assisting them to access the community or teaching them skills to live their lives as independently as possible. I have all the basic furniture and appliances to furnish a house. This includes an l-shaped grey couch, a hexagon shaped table, rugs, a large one door fridge, upright freezer, large front loader washing machine, tv and more. Most of these are just over a year old. Thank you for reading my profile and feel free to send me mail if you think we reflect similar values and could create a great home together.
Hi! I'm Renee and my partner moving with me is Dan. We're looking for a place where we can be comfortable, make some new friends in our house mates and find a new home. We'd love somewhere that has a fun, relaxed atmosphere while still being clean, tidy and functional. We look forward to being able to spend quality time with our new housemates, sharing meals together, bingeing our favourite TV shows, or having a quiet night in playing board games and having a drink or two. We (especially me) love animals and would love it if you did too, a friendly dog or cat around the house would be no problem at all. A bit about us... We're moving down from Sydney as I am soon to start a Master of Genetic Counselling at Melbourne Uni! So I will be studying full time and working part time. Dan is a psychologist, currently working with young people, and will be working full time. As I am moving down for the start of uni I will be arriving from the end of January to mid February (date flexible). Dan will be finishing a few things up here in Sydney and hopefully moving down in March/April. We're both active people who love spending time outside (particularly hiking or bushwalking). I love to read, do fun crafty things like knitting (somehow my projects rarely get finished) and I love cooking/baking (my jams and chutnies are in high demand), I'm also mildly obsessed with dogs. Dan enjoys keeping fit and active (running, boxing classes and hopes to take up bike riding), and then likes to come home to relax watching Netflix or having a good chat. We're both quite left leaning and I'm veg (I guess technically pescatarian as I occasionally eat seafood) and Dan is happy to eat veg a lot of the time although he hasn't quite converted yet. We're also both definitely LQBTIQA+ friendly! If we sound like a good fit for your household please feel free to contact us! We look forward to hearing from you!
I am a 21 year old student from the U.K and I'm gonna be in temporary accommodation from the 14th of Feb, but would like something longer term (4-6 months) to stay whilst I'm studying. A little about me, I enjoy exercise and like to go climbing/bouldering frequently. I enjoy relaxed evenings in, house meals and movie nights. I'm also up for trips into the city to go and see places/explore. Whilst in Melbourne I'm ideally gonna be working part-time and studying full time, so having a space to wind-down and chill is a priority. I am respectful of other peoples space, I am clean, tidy and an easy-going guy. Please drop me a message if you have a place, or looking for a team-up.
Hello, My wife and I arrived in Melbourne 3 months ago and we are looking for a shared house. We are from Brazil and used to work as auditors at PwC (PriceWaterHouseCoopers). We are a friendly couple, easy going, clean and very organized. We came here mainly to improve our English skills, make new friends as well as live with in new cultures. We love having chat as also have a good time!
A little bit about me - I am 25 years old, newly appointed lawyer. Work keeps me pretty busy and I like to come home and decompress; but I do like to be social also. In my spare time I love hiking, going to cafes and bars. I am independent and house-trained having previously lived in Hawthorn and Florence, Italy. I am not looking for a party house but would ideally like to have a good relationship with those I live with. I am looking in the Western suburbs of Melbourne and am looking to move ASAP. Thanks!
I'm an easy going, French/English speaker, studying at the University of Melbourne. I am looking for friendly housemates and for a familial environment adequate for studying although I do love the occasional night out (I'm one of those people that drink exclusively vodka).
I'm a 22 year old from NZ currently living in Carlton for the past 2 years, and recently graduated with a construction management degree from UniMelb. I'm pretty chilled out, keen to meet new people, and willing to help out in the flat where necessary. Currently working part-time in retail, but on the look out for full-time work in the Melbourne construction industry. Big fan of many sports, and always keen to go on road trips every now and then. Ideally I'd like a place near amenities (ie: markets/public transport/gym/parks), but if the place and rent is good then we can work out something. If this sounds good to you, feel free to contact me. Cheers, Avi
Hi lovely people! What am I looking for? - Somewhere fun to stay with awesome housemates - Looking to stay for either a few months or for the long haul with the option of subletting my room when I go off for more than a month at a time (e.g. going to europe sometime this year) - Would be great to have outdoors or sports loving housemates that enjoy things like climbing, cycling, hiking, tennis or whatever else - A backyard would be amazing Why would you want me as a housemate? - I'm out of the house most of the time, working, I have things on most evenings and I'm often out for days or longer at a time on outdoorsy adventures - When I'm around, I like to be social, have a chat, share a beer or a wine, a meal, a movie or anything else happening - Got plenty of board games, and always keen on games nights - I have a car with plenty of space and a towball to help cart around big things - I enjoy working on projects around the house, and keen to do some gardening (by way of experimentation!) Frequently asked questions: - I was born here. Lived in NZ for awhile, and now back in Melbourne - I'm house trained. I'm not a neat freak, but believe things work nicer when dishes are cleaned soon after they are used (or the morning after if it's near bed time), objects are not blocking the walkways, and lawns are mowed - No dramas whatsoever about anyone's race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation - Left leaning, not that others need to be, but we'd probably get along better if we all were :) What you should know that might be an issue: - I would like a place where couchsurfers or visitors (anyone's) are welcome time to time - I like dumpster diving and won't hesitate to join anyone else willing or invite others - I'm mostly vegetarian but don't care what others eat / don't eat. Happy to be vegan in the house if others are
Clean, I like my privacy and I respect others privacy, I don't mind the occasional party but I have a job that means alot to me so it doesn't happen often, I'm also quiet and can sing fairly well so I can sing to you! I love food and a really good convosation when one sparks up, I'm not a good cook but I do try and experiment so there's always going to be a laugh or two.
I am a film-maker who is going to do a Masters in Media at RMIT.
Work full-time weekdays including some Saturdays. I am easy going, friendly and respect privacy. I usually keep it to myself but also enjoy socialising. Prefer to stay Mon-Fri and weekends I usually stay at mate's or back home.
Hello there! I am Chaira, 23 years old and I'm currently living and doing my masters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In November I will start my fulltime research internship at Orygen (located at Parkville) for 8 months. Therefore I'm looking for a nice and chill place to live per October with some nice roommates. Preferably the place shouldn't be too far away from the Orygen institute. About me: I'm an easy- going, very social, cozy and friendly roommate. I love meeting new people and making new memories! Further, I really like to cook, I love having coffees and drinks and I like to go out from time to time.
Friendly, down-to-earth, fairly witty (hopefully) and forever considerate. I'm from London and I love to write (aspiring screenwriter) but more so have a long chat and a good laugh and a hangout etc etc but don't worry am also a fan of the odd moment of personal space and respecting others around me. Do my dishes and never slam doors. Keen for a drink/ tea/ coffee and a dinner party or a Netflix evening, depends on the mood.
I'm moving to Melbourne from a small coastal town on the south coast of NSW called Batemans Bay🏄 I'm very easy going and friendly, I love a good chat but also value mine, and others, alone time🙂 I'm self employed at the moment but would also like to pick up some part-time work to supplement my income. After a busy day I like to wind down by putting on a record🎶 pouring myself a glass of scotch🍻 and playing chess. In my spare time I like to shoot photos📸 and work on my business💸
Hi there! I'm a Brazilian Landscape Architect about to start a Master on Melbourne University. As I have 3 years ahead of myself, I'm looking for a place that I really identify with to build a nice, cozy and happy home! I'll be starting just with the classes and in a short term a partial time job within my area. I always had a busy schedule and I'm a very active person in general, if I'm not studying or working, I should be out on the streets getting to know the city or new friends, traveling for near or far places. Even so, I love to have a routine of some social activities at home, like cooking, watching movies, doing yoga in the backyard, barbecues on weekends. I like cooking a little bit of everything, love salads and vegetables, chicken or meat dishes, pasta, passionate about sea food or Japanese food. Can do quite a few dishes in each sector! Love beer and whine, drinks and sangria. Im very tied up with my stuff and mostly the kitchen, which I consider to be a sacred place! Love to do different sports like acrobatics, climbing, circus, capoeira, dancing, love yoga and stretching, and up for a running sometimes. Always in a good mood and in for everything, when available! But also like to be quiet sometimes, whether for academic reasons or just because silence can be good. Love pets and a garden is the major differential that justifies my preference for houses.
Hi, I’m Tess and I’m 22 years old. I’m from the UK and moving to Melbourne for 4-6months for an internship. I’m not sure about my working hours yet, but I like to keep busy and hope to also find part-time paid work. I’m looking for a room fully furnished and close to Melbourne university. I’d like to stay with someone who’s a similar age and has similar interests so I don’t have to explore alone! I love a good night out, but equally like my own space. I’m also very tidy and a great cook.
First and foremost, I don't know if anything makes me great to live with, but people around me seem to be happy. I think I do a decent job to keep it hat way :P I am a researcher, going to start my Ph.D. at the University of Melbourne. I like to relax with a good meal and some TV at the end of the day, eating out when time permits. I am friendly and like to interact with people and will definitely respect your privacy. I like to cook and especially for others on the weekends :) I am a non smoker and drink occasionally, like a neat and clean environment. If you like, we can chat over Skype before you decide to have me at your place.
Moving from the Gold Coast. 25yr old, Full time professional. Just after a place close to Melbourne city and easy to get to work in Saint Kilda. Always down for a chat, a drink and hope future housemates can turn into friends. Not OCD but would like tidiness. Respects personal space. :)
