Hi! I'm a 24 year old professional who is about to endure their second winter in Canberra after moving down from Queensland. I enjoy spending most of my spare time in the outdoors rock climbing, hiking, camping and mountain biking. I'm social yet also enjoy some me time, would enjoy long walks along the beach if Canberra had any, and am looking for housemates who have at least basic survival skills (keep tidy etc). Get in touch if you have a room and think I'd be a good housemate!
Hi, I'm Taylor. I work full-time at a consulting firm here in Canberra. I moved to Canberra in 2016 and have really taken to it. I spend a lot of my time at work and travel semi-frequently. In my spare time, I play guitar and keyboard (through headphones!) and read. Looking for a place in the inner north or south. My move date isn't by any means fixed.
I am a visiting scholar at ANU. I and my wife are not noisy. Also, we are not smoky and alcoholic.
Hello there, My names Jayden I moved to canberra 12 months ago for work and have previously been living in a share house of 5 people. Im absolutely loving canberra so far with no due return date home. A little bit about myself I grew up in country Victoria in a place called ballarat. I'm a huge sports fan and currently play for the canberra demons AFL football side. I work full-time as an asphalt curator and have been doing a lot of work on the light rail getting built in town (Yes its a nightmare) Im very sociable and love having a good a yarn to my housemates after a day at work and the occasional beer on the weekend. Im a very clean and easy going bloke! Hope to hear from you soon :)
Hey! I’m Jemma, I’m a nursing student and work part-time in retail. I am an easy going, bubbly and friendly person who loves socialising with friends but also a quiet night in. I am super clean and respectful of others and my surroundings. Looking for someone who is like minded, if you have any questions feel free to send me a message :)
We are a young couple from Newcastle and we are moving to Canberra for work at very short notice. We urgently require short-term accommodation until we can get settled in and find our own place. We would like to move in preferably no later than the beginning of June. Our preferred length of stay is around 2-3 months but we can be flexible with this. Elliott (22 y.o.) - Public servant; currently working as a research assistant and finishing the last semester of a commerce degree via distance. Michelle (27 y.o.) - Recently completed a B.A. in politics and international relations; moving to Canberra to work and study at ANU. • We are mature, respectful, and clean up after ourselves. • We're sociable and easy to get along with, but we also appreciate having our own space. • We'll be working full-time hours Monday-Friday and studying during nights/weekends, so we're looking for housemates who are quiet and considerate, especially during the evening. (We don't mind sharing with other students as long as it's not a noisy 'party house' type environment). • We're not adverse to hanging out occasionally — it would be nice to know some locals who can show us around the city and recommend things to see/do in Canberra :) • Hoping to find a room that's already furnished because we'll need time to acquire our own furniture. A queen bed would be ideal because all of our sheets, quilts etc. are queen size (and Elliott is probably too tall to sleep on anything smaller). • We'll need parking space (Elliott has a car and I plan to bring mine down from Newcastle in the near future, too). • I'll be relying on public transport for at least a few weeks, so accommodation located reasonably close to public transport is a must. • We would prefer to have our own bathroom/ensuite (if possible) but we're not in a position to be too fussy. • Decent internet/Wi-Fi and heating/cooling is essential.
Hi. I am a student, planning to move to Canberra in mid July. I will be studying Full-time at ANU, doing my M.Sc in Neuroscience. I am a low-profile person, who will be spending most of his time either at college or at a part-time job. I am flexible with almost everything. Looking for a room, with close vicinity or good accessibility to ANU. If not close, there should be a bus station or other transit nearby. Term of stay is at least 2 months and preferably more. I might extend to even a year or more, if the stay is good. There should be good heating and air conditioning. I am flexible with parking.
Looking to join an existing share place - or start a new one! About me : Fully employed, financially independent. Well travelled & a bunch of life experience. I'm an experienced house-sharer, considerate of others, clean, respectful, social / independent. Creative and inquisitive soul... If i'm not at home pondering the origins of the universe, i'm travelling, at work, going on hikes, photography, nature, reading, seeing live music, catching up with friends, music festivals, or wherever the day takes me. Home Life : I enjoy social time when living with others but also value my own space. I like to keep things fairly clean, but i'm not a clean freak. Iideally : i'd be sharing with some awesome, creative type people, who enjoy a meal / get together, but who also respect each others space. The usual really. If you think we'd be a good fit get in touch! Anthony.
My name is Emilia, I've been in Canberra for almost a year now and work full time at a university. I'm looking to find a nice and friendly sharehouse that I can call my home for a little while :) I've sharehoused previously. I'm neat and tidy, I like to catch up and have a chat with housemates at the end of the day but also keep pretty busy trying to get out for a walk or some yoga after work, and respect the need for down time.
Hello! My name is Lachy and I’m a 19 year old born and bred Canberran who is looking for a room in an amazing share house for the next 6 months before I depart Canberra for university studies in another city next year! Right now while living in Canberra, I’m working for Apple as a full time specialist.
I'm a 21 year old female student studying at the ANU. I also work part time. I'm very friendly but also respect needing your own space. I prefer a clean and tidy environment and hope you do too! Hobbies include reading and going to the gym.
23yr old man, full time apprentice carpenter. Always happy to hang out, have a drink, play board/video games. Wouldn't mind setting up an backyard/shed gym. Lived in a sharehouse before, I am respectful of personal space and belongings, will clean up after myself and pitch in around the house.
> full-time phd student > friendly and easy-going > respect others' privacy > have a car (so that my roommate and I can go out and have fun on holidays)
My name is Ahmed and I'm a 32 years. I work as an assistant lecturer/research assistant. At the same time I'm a 3rd year PhD student at ANU, studying molecular biology at JCSMR. I'm a very respectful, quiet, clean, responsible, non-smoking non-drinking and tidy person. At the weekend, I like to enjoy cooking and sharing my food with my housemates. I have been living in Dickson for the past year. Looking for a room reasonably close to ANU. I'm flexible with the duration of the lease and ready to move as soon as possible.
Hi, I am a current PhD Student at ANU. I am very social, fun-loving and willing to make new friends. And, more importantly, I would say I am too clean and tidy. I love cooking and also enjoy cleaning and housework. I am looking for a room in a house, preferably close to the university with no pets. Thank you.
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
I'm a 28yr old male recently moved down from the Gold Coast for work, I'll be working 5-6 days a week long hours and won't be there much. Clean and tidy and will look after your place as if it were my own. Will ideally be looking for own room and own bathroom as I prefer to have my own space. I live a active lifestyle thru work and the beach and I like to play golf and go for a skate. Won't have any furniture with me just linen and clothes so looking for a furnished room if possible. Thank you Ps. Also only looking to move in with one other person or couple.
