Hi All. I am a tech-enthusiastic, easy-going guy from Tasmania. I'm currently studying video game design, programming and small business management, and am very close to owning my own small studio in video game development. In my free time, I normally play video games, go to the cinema, or develop video games (It's my job and my passion). I'm a non-smoker, non-drinker, independent, tidy, organised, always pay on time, and enjoy genuine conversations. I'm planning to study in Watson ACT during 2018, and therefore i am looking for accommodation nearby for 1 year, starting around late January. I'd also be up for "teaming up" for accommodation. Hope to hear from prospective flatmates. :)
I am an approachable and friendly person. I am clean and respectful. I am studying Primary Teaching and I am a qualified makeup artist, currently working in retail makeup. I'm 20 years old and am looking to move out of home. I am after a place that is relatively permanent (one year or more). I am looking to move our early next year.
I here for an Aurora internship and am pretty interested in society at large. In Adelaide I volunteer with an environmental organisation. I really love music and like having quite a bit of fun. I’m in 4th year at Adelaide university and study law/ anthropology / French. I like a clean shared space and am pretty tidy. I just died my hair bright orange and am adjusting to the consequences. At least you’ll know who to blame if there’s an unreal orange hair in the shower. (Which there won’t be because I’m tidy ;)
Hi, i am azhari, i will commence my study at ANU in Jan 2018, my wife will join me at March 2018. I need a place that allowing couple to live (granny flat/studio are preferred, but a room will be OK too). We're just ordinary couple from indonesia (just ask the other person about indonesians), always smiling, enjoy friendship, cleanliness, but also need a privacy. My budget is max 250/week, i am a DFAT sponsored posgrad students, so the rent pay will not be late.
I’m a Full time student at the Canberra Institute of Technology and I also work part time in Ainslie. I’m moving out of my student accommodation in December and looking for a new place to call home 😊
I'm moving to Canberra in January to begin work as a 2018 APS grad. Currently I'm finishing up my psychology degree in Newcastle, then will be travelling in Europe for a couple of months and moving down to Canberra after the new year. I start work on January 31 but happy to move in earlier and get settled into a place. Interested in meeting new people, getting to know Canberra, playing sports etc. I'm looking to a find a place within walking/cycling distance to Civic and ideally close to shops, restaurants. Prefer a place where everyone is clean and tidy, friendly, open for a chat and just generally laid back.
Hi! My name's Islay, and my partner's name is Jacob. We're looking for a 6 month to 12 month (or more) place that is within around 15mins drive to the city (if possible)! We're laid-back, chill people who are looking forward to a fresh living space. A little about us: We both study at ANU - I study science (biochemistry and cell/molecular biology) and Jacob studies engineering (renewable energy and theoretical physics [he's definitely the smart one!]), which is what takes up most of our time during the week. On weekends, we both work our respective jobs. We're a busy couple, but in our down time we like to cook together, take walks and watch movies (usually sci-fi). Please let us know if we sound like the kind of people you'd like to share with. We're always up for a chat :)
Hey all, I'm 22 and a recent graduate moving to Canberra in 2018 for a full time job. I'm fun, respectful, and happy to hang out but also enjoy my own space. I am looking to move in somewhere for at least 12 months with people who are social, relaxed, and fun to be around. Send me a message if you have any questions :)
Currently first year student at ANU doing double degree in engineering and physics I'm Indian origin, but aussie by birth Perks of having me around: Fun loving Clean Cheerful Friendly Plays sports like soccer, cricket Can cook Indian meals if you want to try it out Even tho I'm veg, I have no problem with others eating non veg Won't impose restrictions; easygoing Will pay fees on time Also good at board games like chess and checkers
Female, full time student, studying law. In my final year and applying for internships. Part time working in retail and keen to move on up and out into the law field asap. I keep to myself most of the time. Though I do like the regular movie night and training sessions. I have a dog, titan, that's in training for mind dog program. So he is well behaved, house trained and loving. Would love to remain living in Canberra but it's getting pretty hard to find pet friendly accom as a one person. North Canberra would be my preference... anywhere lol. Keen for team ups
Hello! I am a young professional in my late twenties. I am often described as thoughtful, playful, and tolerant by those who know me. I consider myself very tidy, clean, and respectful. I am looking to share a house/flat of mixed gender, ideally with other professionals, but students are fine too. Preferably 3-4 people (including myself). I love animals, so pets are not a problem. (That said, I do not have any pets of my own and won't be bringing or acquiring any). I love good food, outdoors, exploring new places, trying new things, exercise and lead an active lifestyle. Well maybe not as much as those who live in lycra and compete in sports... but I do enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoy being a home body, and would be happy curled up on the couch with a glass of red, playing board games with whomever is up for a chat. I am a clean and organised person, but I don't go nuts with cleaning rosters. I believe we're all capable of pitching in with the cleaning when needed and when it's not inconvenient to do so. That said, I'd prefer not to live in a pig sty. If I sound like the right flatmate to you, shoot me a message, introducing yourself and the other tenants. Thanks! P.S. I do want to be part of a home and get to know you all, not just living with flat mates, however I have a preference to do my own cooking. Happy to participate in house dinners every now and then, especially the spontaneous ones, but I don't want to be committed to three different dinners cooked by three different people each week. My cap for shared dinners is probably once a week i.e. someone different takes a turn to cook every Tuesday, rather than three different people cooking three different days in the same week. P.P.S. I cannot live without a dishwasher. They are the best thing ever invented and I will use it religiously. Criteria: - Built in Robes (with lots of hanging space and shelves). This is non-negotiable. - Room that can fit a Queen Bed, side table, lots of other boxes/things etc. - Car port/ undercover parking with automatic doors. - En suite (preferable, but not a must. Happy to share a bathroom with one other, but no more). - Lots of storage space (inside the house - not a storage cage) - Dishwasher - Housemates that are not hermits - Age of household: 25-35. Ideally, I would like to live with people who are around my age, and are social. - I do not want to live in Gunghalin - sorry, it’s just too far from work.
Hello, We are Tanya and Henry! :) We are two students: Henry is doing his PhD and Tanya is studying law at ANU. Tanya has a dog, Rocky, who will be living with us. Rocky has pet references from living in an apartment this year, and the landlord has been really happy with the condition of the house and how well we’ve kept the place. His details are available on request. We have been friends for three years now and we too come with references from our previous landlords. We both have part-time jobs and parents who are able to help us with rent. We are clean and conscientious tenants and will take care of the property because living somewhere nice is important to us. Please let us know if you want to know anything more about us! Looking forward to hearing from you! Warm regards, Tanya & Henry
I have just moved back to Canberra after after finishing my masters of chemistry in Melbourne. I'm starting work in February with DIIS and my move in date is very flexible. I have brought with me my little dog Pupperina, an older black Pomeranian, she's very good and doesn't bark, a joy to have around the house. I like science (but not a massive nerd), working out at the gym, cooking (sometimes) and going down to the beach or hiking on nice weekends. I also have horses out at Yarralumla and do showjumping and trail riding. At the moment, I have a lot of furniture including a fridge, a little outdoor setting and a TV as well as some other stuff, but if you don't need these things it's not a problem, I can just sell them. I would be keen to team up with someone to apply for houses or I can move into an unfurnished room and sell any of my furniture we don't want. I also got one of those BOSE portable speakers, it's really good, i'll let you borrow it. As well as some other cool things like an aquarium, paintings and a bunch of pot plants. Although I'm pretty quiet and don't talk that much I'm also extroverted and not really a private person my self, but of course, very respectful of other people's privacy. I like hanging out and having drinks or dinner with the people I live with. I don't throw parties, but don't mind if you have a party every now and then that I can be a part of. I like to have people over occasionally and I got that thing that mums do where I have to clean the entire house before I have someone over for dinner... I'm house proud I guess. I don't just clean after myself but also do chores like sweep the floors and clear the kitchen and hopefully will live with someone else who does regular chores. Mostly I'm just looking for a calm peaceful household and a high standard of living !
Hi there! I'm a full-time student at ANU who also works. That means I'm pretty busy during the day but like to have a chat with my housemates when I get home, but also value privacy. My interests are (at risk of sounding like an e-harmony ad); cooking delicious food from scratch such as pizza, pasta, and muffins; going to the gym when I can and hiking Canberra's beautiful mountains, as well as hanging out with friends!
Work at ABS, very chilled, ride bike to work and keep active during the week. Weekends enjoy having a chat and a beer or two watching crap TV. Happy to rewatch sopranos and the wire though. Love the Canberra Raiders
Originally from Newcastle I've moved to Canberra to study Actuarial Science at ANU. I'm carefree, easy to live with and love a drink!
Hi! I’m a 23-year-old female postgrad student studying biology at ANU. I’m originally from Canada and will be living in Canberra for the next 3 years while I finish my degree. As a housemate I’d describe myself as clean, respectful, and laid-back. . I'm a non-smoker but I don’t mind if others in the house are smokers. I am fairly busy with my studies and I usually put long hours in on campus Monday to Friday. That being said, I'm outgoing and friendly, and I would much prefer to live in a home-like environment rather than just a “share house”. I like cooking (and cooking for others!), having a few beers on the weekend, and wouldn’t mind living in a house where it’s cool to have a couple friends over for dinner or drinks. I’m a vegetarian but definitely have no issues with other people eating/cooking meat! Some of the stuff I do in my free time includes hiking, bouldering, yoga, going out to bars, and going out to gigs and festivals. Please message me if you think I'd be a good fit for your share-house! I'd like to find a place to move in around early December. I'm flexible with the length of the lease but I'm looking for something somewhat long-term.
Tidy, clean, organised, lived with housemates for many years, enjoy cooking. Pretty relaxed with bathroom usage. Christian, tries to live those values. I'll be starting my PhD in Philosophy, but am currently a full time teacher, living in WA. Just wanted to see if I could organise accommodation in advance :) I love to dance (tango and flamenco) and come complete with multiple teapots and a tea collection. I have a habit of adding wine to almost everything I cook ... wine not?
Hi My name is Pablo. I am very relaxed and organized with payments and home duties. Super clean and tidy and at the same time very easy going. I like my own time and also love to share a beer or a glass after work. I will be working full time. During my free time I love to exercise, cycling or swimming. Love outdoors and visit the museums once in a while. I am a nonsmoker. Let me know if you would be interested. Pablo
I am a Malaysian born Chinese guy who has lived in Sydney since 2004. I recently accepted a hospital pharmacist role in Canberra and will need a place ASAP! I enjoy making conversation and chilling out, but I also love a good night out. In saying that I still like quiet time so I'd like to think I can be flexible with where I live. I've been mostly an indoor activities person but the plan is to do more outdoors! Currently training for running events and the occasional hike (when it isn't too cold or raining).
A Full-Time 2nd year student at ANU, looking for a place to call home. I'm flexible to keep to myself or be good friends with the people I'm staying with.I come pre-trained in mundane chores and cleaning so if you don't find them as a therapeutic as I do it's no big deal. My work schedule is flexible enough that I can either keep out of your hair or be around for whenever you want someone to hang out with, I'd be happy to do whichever.
