Hello, my name is Jacob and I am a school leaver who will be studying nursing in Canberra in 2018. I am a very clean person and like to keep my spaces neat and tidy, I'm not shy of a good conversation and I enjoy the company of others. I am hoping to find somewhere to live as soon as possible, if you have ANY questions please don't hesitate to ask, I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Thank you.
Hi, my name is Josh and I've just graduated. I will be moving to Canberra to start my job as a full time software developer. I'm a considerate, clean and quiet person, who respects others and their property. I also like to be sociable and hang out, have a chat or a drink with my friends/housemates. I enjoy books, music, playing instruments (don't worry I have headphones), going to the gym having a go at cooking and some video games now and then when I get the time. I'm new to Canberra but I'm looking forward to finding/forming a nice place with other respectful/friendly people where we would all get along great. I would prefer to live in Braddon (or close by) and I'm looking at an early Jan move/start date. If you're interested feel free to send a message through on the website and we can start discussing.
Jens and I are 23 and 22 years old, both from Germany and both studying Physics. Jens has graduated already and started his PhD in Astrophysics at ANU in September. Therefore he will be living in Canberra for at least a few years. I am doing my Masters in Physics and came to Canberra to write my Masters thesis in a research group at ANU for about six months. We both like sports and the outdoors a lot and love to go mountainbiking, hiking, skiing, swimming, surfing,... Both of us have lived in shared flats before and like to consider ourselves as pretty uncomplicated as well as clean and tidy. Of course we are always up for a chat or sharing a meal with our flatmates :)
Hey am looking for a place to stay, am new to Canberra, have relocated from cairns because I got a new job in defence building in Russell. I am outgoing and am family orientated. Am hoping to stay for 6 months, which will give me plenty of time to save up and get my own place in June/July. I’m 22 years old. Am currently staying in a hotel until jan 6th, so please let me know if you have any questions!
Hey, I'm looking for a room in Braddon, Turner, Acton, Reid, or Civic. Ideally, I’d like a place with a decent sized bedroom, my own bathroom and car park. However, even more important is finding fun, friendly and sociable housemates! A bit about me: I moved to Canberra from Perth at the start of this year for a grad position in the APS. Next year I’ll be working in the same department and I’m also considering doing a Master’s part-time at ANU. I’m 24, a non-smoker, pet-free, I don’t take drugs, etc. I’m also very neat - I’m happy to send a photo of my current place! I’ve lived in a number of share houses over the years (with guys and girls), so I’m pretty sociable and easy to live with. I’m a big fan of social sport, cooking, casual drinks, music (I come with headphones), and solid TV series (think Game of Thrones, House of Cards and Veep). Let me know if you think I’d be a good fit! Sam :)
I am looking to relocate from Newcastle to Canberra to study a masters program at ANU. I have about five or so years experience living in sharehouse arrangements. I am neat, clean, responsible and quiet. I enjoy a friendly household where the tenants engage in polite conversation, and I am also conscious of giving people space and privacy.
Hey, I’ll be moving to Canberra early January next year to study postgrad at ANU and now looking for a permanent accommodation in a shared house/ apartment. I love travelling, hiking and working out. I'm tidy, clean and likely to keep things organized. Please let me know if you're interested to live in a shared house with me, preferably in the inner-north Canberra locations.
I am a third year uni student studying law & economics, while working part time. Very clean, easy to get along with, and I'm not very loud. Independent and will largely keep to myself during the semester, but I'm also quite sociable and fun to hang out with. I am also a non-smoker.
Hey everyone, I'm a 21 year old male from Brisbane that's looking to move down to Canberra to start work in the APS. I'm a pretty tidy and chill guy who enjoys watching sports, travelling, socialising and meeting new people. I am looking to move in with people around my own age and who share similar interests and have a place available from ~1 year. As I am relocating from Brisbane and commencing in February, I would like to be moved in and settled by January sometime. Send me a message if you think that we'd be a good match or have any questions! Thanks!
Let us know if you have a room for rent in a 15 minute drive zone around ANU. We're also keen to team up with another couple or 1-2 other people to get a house together. Shoot a message! :) We're a young couple with a small, friendly cat. My partner is an interface and UX designer, I'm going to be a medical student at ANU. We're moving from Newcastle, and really excited to start living in Canberra. We're both warm and easygoing people. We've shared houses with people for years, and have made great friends that way. We'll be there to keep you company and have a chat, but we'll give you your space and privacy as well :) If you're a cat lover, you're in luck! We have a small cat, who is really well behaved. We look after her well and she is well trained. And she'll give you lots of cuddles if you like cats! It'll be perfect for you to enjoy having a pet without having to own or look after one :)
Hi there! I'm Luella, 24 year old female. I grew up in Melbourne but am moving to Canberra for full-time work in January 2018. I will be working in Tuggeranong, but am hoping to find a place closer to the city. I've just finished an arts degree in sociology and literature. I love reading and learning new things. I'm a mostly quiet person but friendly and hoping to make some friends in Canberra. I have a long term partner who will be remaining in Melbourne for work so I will be going back to visit semi-regularly, and he will also visit occasionally on weekends. I have a lovely 13 year old cat named Mookin who, now he is older, loves to sleep and have a cuddle. He's an indoor only cat and a room with an ensuite would be ideal so his food can stay in there and he can keep to my room.
Hello! I'll be moving to Canberra from Melbourne in January 2018 to commence work in the public service. I'm after something in the inner suburbs, preferably within bus/cycling distance to work. I'm flexible in terms of house or apartment, but would prefer to share with similarly aged housemates. I'm clean and tidy, respectful of others' privacy and can contribute some furniture if necessary. I'm a food enthusiast, big soccer fan and always up for a drink or two. Let me know if you're interested!
I'm relocating from Brisbane to Canberra in January to start a Graduate job. I'm 22 and like to live a pretty routine lifestyle throughout the week, but love to get out and about and away for the weekends. I am hoping for easy going and social housemates, who can appreciate clean and tidy shared living spaces. Looking to team up with some like minded people to create a happy home away from home.
I will be moving to Canberra from Melbourne in the New Year to start a grad program with the APS. I will be working full time. I am generally a quite person who respects others space but I do love the odd sunday sesh or trip the pub. I also enjoy playing social sports, board games nights and settling down to a good book. I love going to watch live sport (especially rugby) and I'm hoping to get some trips up to the snow this winter.
I'm a New Zealanders and I'm moving to Australia to study a Master's in Environmental Science at ANU. I love travelling - I grew up in Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Armenia and I'm currently spending the "summer" interning in northern California. Hobbies - cooking, reading, tramping and hiking, fitness, Netflix. I've flatted for 5 years so I'm very tolerant and respectful, and I'm tidy and pretty quiet. I’m looking for a room solo until about June/July when my boyfriend will be moving over from NZ to join me. So I’m interested in short-term single rooms or longer-term rooms that are suitable for couples :)
Health professional working for the government. Have been in Canberra a year. I have lived in share accomodation for 4 years now and know the importance of a clean kitchen, bathroom and personal space is to a good house sharing arrangement. Very approachable, east going and lead an active lifestyle. I work fairly long hours and spend many weekends in Sydney so I won't be around too much.
My name is Shalini, having moved to Melbourne a few short months ago for work, I have to move again and leave all my favourite brunch places - this time back to Canberra where I lived for 6 years. I am a public servant, I love yoga, reading, hikes, tv shows, going for brunch and lazy Sunday afternoons at the pub. Could chat to you for hours about podcasts/Harry Potter theories too. I am clean and friendly, happy to share household chores and love to chat over a wine after work every once in a while. Drop me a line if you want to know anything more about me. I have plenty of experience living in large share houses as well as with just one housemate.
I am a Norwegian who normally study political science in Copenhagen, but is to have an internship at the Norwegian Embassy in Canberra the upcoming semester. I'm a relaxed and easy-going person who enjoys being both social and alone. I am tidy, trustworthy and tolerant, and tolerably traversed in alliterations. I enjoy music, books, movies, good company, good wine, cooking and working out. I can promise Norwegian humbleness, accented English, and sporadic sarcasm.
I'm Easy going, 17 and just got offered a 12 month traineeship with the APS in Canberra. Moving interstate from Brisbane, Queensland and looking for somewhere to live for at least 12 months, as I do not know anyone in Canberra, I would prefer to stay in a share house, then live alone. I have extensive experience living with people other than family, as I attended and boarded at a boarding school for three years. I mostly keep to myself, however I'm always down for a chat, great to get along with and can socialise with people of all ages. I know how to cook and clean up after myself, and I also understand the concept of personal space. Flexible with rent, bills and internet.
