Hi! I'm Maggie, I'm from Sydney and I’m moving to Canberra to do my Masters at ANU. I’m looking for some friendly and social housemates who like to share some dinners. I like cooking, crime dramas and art galleries. :)
My name is Sally, I will be moving to Canberra in feb and I will be doing my master degree in diplomacy at ANU and am looking to join a share house. Im a very friend and chilled out person, I like my space but also sociable. I love to cook and always making bread or cakes. In addition to studying I will also be working part time in hospo.
Hi there My name is Danielle, I’m a 33yo single lady relocating from the far south coast of NSW for work. I am very interested in a room with either an ensuite or my own bathroom. I have excellent rental references, secure full time employment, always pay bills on time, very clean, no fuss, respectful of privacy, friendly and easy to get along with. I have lived in share houses before & know the drill :) Keen to make some new friends and explore all Canberra has to offer! I am fairly quiet by nature, enjoy brunch with friends, quiet drinks occasionally (not the type to bring the party home though), grabbing a bargain or two at local markets, watching Netflix, reading a good book with a cuppa. I am also keen to improve my overall health, so would be looking to spend some time at the gym. I am looking to move to Canberra around 10-15th of February and initially seeking a 6month contract or longer if suitable. If you have a room available and you would like to meet with me, Saturday’s would work best as I am 3hrs south at the moment and still currently working full time hours - but happy to work out another day if that would suit you better :) Hope to hear from you soon, take care Dani
Both myself and partner are relocating from Sydney to Canberra. I am moving for work, hours will vary as it will be shift work in IT. Michelle will starting University at UC studying Business, We are both pretty quite people, enjoy getting out doors and adventuring when we have any spare time. Usually one of us will be working or studying. We are looking to move pretty much asap! we have some furnishing if needed, we've both been living together for the past 6 months and look forward to this next chapter for us both. Ideally, We are chasing a place that has a bathroom/ensuite if possible. Thank you!
I am an ANU student and work part time in a bar in Barton. I am friendly and easy going but also a respectful housemate. I enjoy cooking, hanging out over a glass of wine and travelling back to Melbourne to see family whenever I get a few days free. Ideally I'm looking for a 6-12 month arrangement available from late January.
Hi, I am a postgraduate student currently studying in ANU. I am an easygoing person who loves chill with others but also respect personal space. I love traveling around and reading. I hope to find a place which I can stay at least 6 months.
Easy going, social, shared before, studying full time. Like people, pet friendly. I already miss my dog! (OK, she's my parents, but she loves me) I like to cook. Apparently I sing to myself when I'm happy. I like chilling out, often by reading or writing, and im hoping to improve my water colour skills this year. I'm starting a masters at ANU Jan 22 and I'm looking for somewhere to live! My course runs until the end of November, and while I will be away as part of my study, I'm looking for somewhere I'm glad to return to. I am really looking for somewhere within 5-6km cycle of either ANU or Questacon.
I’m easy going honest, person that enjoys the outdoors don’t mind I chat from time to time and a quiet place to relax after a days work,I like a tidy house and like to clean up after myself! I’m after a secured car park and unfinished room with on bathroom if possible 😊
Hey all, I’m looking a for a place to live around Canberra. I’m a full time student, will be studying Medical Science at either UC or ANU. I left school at the end of year 10 to peruse full time work as that was related to my goal at that time. I’ve been out of school for two years now adventuring, experiencing, and learning the real world so I know how to look after myself a whole hell of a lot better than when I was in year 10. I understand and strictly practice budgeting, can and enjoy cooking and I can cook well, and various other neccessary life skills. I completed a University bridging course with a uni online last year and have now set my sights on Canberra. I’m an avid mountain biker and other extreme sports lover, so I would need some space to store a bike. Also love going to the gym (Anytime Fitness). Love music, you will very rarely catch me not listening to music (Led Zeppelin, and disco are a couple of my favourites). I’m a very social, cheery guy (sorry my picture doesn’t show it haha, best I have) from a little country town called Lithgow. Love hanging out with people, I respect others personal space and time. I’m clean, tidy, and organised. I can and I enjoy cooking. I’ll happily have a drink or two with people, or just hangout. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I am Vishal, and I come from New Delhi, India. I'm a 23 year old Master of Computing student at the ANU. I am the kind of person who likes to have a nice chat as well as I respect others' space. I usually keep my room tidy and I don't smoke. I don't have any pets either. I like to keep myself fit, and I play badminton. A fun fact about me would be, that I produce music as a hobby and I play the piano and drums. I am a fan of technology, so as a bonus I can solve any tech-related problem you might have!
Hello! My name is Michael Chauval and I am currently studying at the Australian National University full-time. I have been a gap year as a Ski Instructor and am currently working part-time - full-time hours at the Tipsy Bull in Braddon. As busy as I am, I also participate in rowing or going to the gym for a run 6 days a week. My friend and I are looking for a place before the end of January since we are leaving our current complex. We both live our lives independently but are looking for a place to stay for the university year. I would prefer a place that is quiet and is well kept after - which I hope we would provide good company also! If you have a place only available for one too, I am also interested in the better of myself! Looking forward to seeing what is available :)
Hi! I'm a pretty quiet person - but I'm more fun when I manage to chill! I like to keep busy and I value a tidy space. I've got something of a green thumb (only for cactuses though!) and an eye for good lighting. I'm originally from NSW but I've been in the ACT for over two years now. I'm a law student at the ANU but I'm expecting to graduate at the end of the year (all fingers crossed). I've worked in the legal profession for the past few years and I'm currently employed at a law firm! I really enjoy watching movies and reading books. I'm really into sci-fi but I enjoy any movie that might seem a little weird!
I'm a recent university graduate who is working full time. Have gotten along really well with everyone I've lived with. I am a very clean and tidy person and I like to contribute to the house that I'm living in. Looking for friendly easy going people to live with or rent from.
Hi! I'm an international student from Singapore, currently studying at ANU. Im looking for a place to rent out near ANU preferably. I am an easy going, pretty chill and friendly person. I am quite particular about cleanliness and keeping tidy. So you can expect me to keep my place very clean and well organised without any clutter of sorts. Not much of a party animal, I much prefer to stay in and read books or have movie marathons. However, i don't mind the occasional fun. I also like to explore new cafes, eateries and sightseeing place and Canberra with my friends. I like to socialise and new people but I also greatly value my privacy and time alone. If you think I'm a good fit for your place, feel free to contact me!
I am a student at ANU studying Psychology and Philosophy. I consider myself a very chilled out and open-minded person. I enjoy spending my free time chilling in the sun reading, being in nature, cooking and eating food, playing games. I would enjoy living with people who are open-minded thinkers who i can have fun and interesting discussions with, whilst also giving each other our own space.
Hi potential housemate family I am taking the jump and moving to join the 38% of Canberrans working in the public service and am looking for a place to call home. I am a coffee-powered, karate kicking, art and music enthusiast with a love of trivia and history. Home is where the heart is and for me that has always been in the people I meet. If you love a good laugh around the dining room table over wine and cards, healthy Nextflix binge sessions and cosy silences curled up around a book, please adopt this fledgling Brisbanite into your home. Cheers Paris :)
We love to keep the house clean and basic hygiene will be well taken care of. Wants to come back to healthy home cooked food? Just let me know and I can always just cook an extra portion for you. Maybe healthier cakes/ muffins for any celebration We are environmentally friendly when it comes to energy consumption. So far only used heating in winter evening to heat up the room and aircon to cool down room when it is above 30 degree indoor. Our current housemates were amazed that water and electricity consumption went down after 2 of us moved in to replace one previous housemate. Time to move on as one of our housemates decided to have an unemployed guest who overstay from 2 weeks to 10 weeks, damaged the oven and even created a mess daily in the kitchen which I have to clean up. We rarely have visitors except for the occasional dinner with friends. And maybe friends/families from Melbourne who might stay a day or 2. Furnishings we have to share on top of our room furnishings: Indoor: 23" TV with TV Box, Indoor Antenna, HP Envy printer, a foldable dining table, microwave, crock pot, rice cooker, kettle, sandwich maker, vacuum cleaner, a mop, a kitchen bin etc. Optional (can give these away) Outdoor: White table with 3 chairs, outdoor umbrella, umbrella stand. Garden: Shovel, garden fork, manual lawn mower, leaf blower. We do prefer house mates who are respectful to others, easy going and clean up after themselves.
We are easy going young couple and fun to live with. Both of us will working full time (one of us will be study as well) so we won’t be around in the daytime a lot. Both of us are non smoking person and a clean person as well, we could be a perfect housemate to share with :)
Hi there! I am a student moving to Canberra for 1 year to work while completing a postgraduate degree. I love animals but sadly will be leaving my dog at home. I am typically a quiet person when at home who prefers to relax by going outside or watching videos/movies. I clean up after myself and enjoy gardening and adding some green touches! I prefer to cook my own meals at home most of the time but do enjoy going out to try new places to eat. I will have a busy schedule so wish to find a place that is calm and quiet. Hope to be in touch soon!
I'm in my early 20s and a 2nd year student of policy studies at ANU. I work two paid jobs and have my next two volunteer positions lined up for 2018. For a long time now I've been living in a unilodge room. I decided not to apply for a new residential because I've had enough of hotel style accommodation and I'm looking for a home. I'm a student of French and Arabic. I'm very handy when things need doing. I'm not a very knowledgeable gardener but I grew up with a veggie garden and I'm a pretty good cook with fresh ingredients (thanks parents). I'm a hard worker but I love a drink and a chat when I can squeeze it in. As a nature lover, I can I try to head down to the snowys or out to the Shoalhaven area whenever I can. I'm very clean and I'm especially respectful of shared spaces. I grew up driving around Melbourne so I love Canberra 'traffic' :). I'm staying with a family in Pattaya for the next few days but ill be back in Aus mobile reception in a few days.
Hi I'm Nikki, I am a recent graduate of ANU from my masters degree. I am currently working full-time as a consultant :) I love both quiet nights and nights out. I enjoy having glasses of wine (in particular red) and eating cheese while watching movies or hanging out. I can cook well and I love cooking for other people and having dinner parties but there is also normally leftovers when I cook :) I am tidy, clean and pretty quiet but I enjoy banter and laughter. I clean up after myself and have experience living in a sharehouse with strangers. I also am a respectful person and understand when people need time to themselves.
