I am 23 and moving to Canberra to start a job with the Department of Social Services. I love brunch, a casual drink on the weekends, binging on Netflix, travelling, the beach and the outdoors. I am tidy and can respect peoples' space but also love to be sociable on the weekends. I am currently finishing up a 6-month trip around Africa and Central/South America.
Hi everyone! :-) I'm a 28-year-old trainee lawyer from Frankfurt, Germany - starting 6 February, I will do an internship with a Canberran law firm. I am still in desperate need of a nice and quiet place to live! Maybe you can help? I consider myself easy going, tidy and considerate. I love reading, doing sports, watching movies and having a good glass of wine every now and then. - I would love to hear from you!
I moved to Canberra last January for work where I got a job as a public servent who works full time (mon-fri). I am a person who likes to keep to them self but also enjoys hanging out with people. I also enjoy cooking, watching movies/TV, playing video games and just relaxing. Thanks for reading.
I am in my final year at ANU studying politics and International relations. I am looking for a room in an existing place that is close to ANU I am a friendly and clean person who enjoys a chat over wine or a movie but also respect everyones space and need for time alone.
Hi my name is Harsha and I am a 22 year old grad moving up to Canberra to join the APS. I'm a friendly, tidy and respectful person, who is looking forward to exploring Canberra.
I am an easy going 20 year old male from South Wales on a working holiday visa. I have just spent 3 months in New Zealand and now am looking to settle down in Canberra for a few months and meet some great people. I am a very active person who enjoys going to the gym. I am also looking for a local sports team to join. I am a big sports fan, in particular American Football. Any questions feel free to ask.
A bit about me: I'm 26 and moving from Melbourne to Canberra to start a job in the APS in early Feb. I've been living in share houses for the past 5 years and am well aware of the normal rules and etiquettes, I'm also able to provide rent history if that is any help. I've always liked houses where everyone gets along well and shares the occasional drink and meal. I'm fairly social and try to get out of my house when I can and have a lot of connections in Melbourne so will most likely be flying back a bit. When I'm home I enjoy cooking, binge watching series, listening to a bit of music and trying to motivate myself to do some exercise. I'm a news junkie so love a good chat. I'm clean!
Hello future flatmate! My partner and I are originally from Sydney, and we are both currently studying law at ANU. We are clean, friendly and sociable people, and are used to living with people after our experiences in shared accommodation last year. We are also responsible with our housework, and willing to do our share around the house. We are excited to meet new people, and hope to hear from you soon! :)
I'm moving up from Melbourne as part of an APS graduate program on Jan 30th so will be looking for place from then. I like hanging out, brunching, keeping active, playing sport and occasional netflix binge in my spare time. I like to think I'm easy going tidy but not OCD, and fairly chilled - don't hesitate to message if this sounds like your type of flat mate.
Hi my name is Leonie and I'm moving from Perth to Canberra to work full time at the department of health in early 2017. I'm super easy going, chatty, relatively tidy and respectful of personal space. I love to explore the outdoors, go hiking and be surrounded by nature. I'm always up for having a few drinks but at the same time am also an enthusiast of staying in with a cup of tea and great book/film. I'm a massive lover of food and don't mind sharing groceries. I love to travel and can chat about it for hours on end, I recently just returned from an amazing four month trip through Europe!
Hello! I'm Angus, currently looking for accomodation in and around the BEAUT inner north of Canberra (aka best city on earth) I'm a proud Canberra boy, and have only known one postcode: 2602. Restaurant angel by trade, I work full time and keep a relatively active social life, sort of, and am out of he house lots. When I do find time to be in though, I love cooking for people, to make them like me (vegan, don't be scared though I'm not THAT vegan). I'm into my record collection, good films, fine wines under $20, and just being an all round good bloke. Love to potter about the garden with a stubby in my stubbies, as much as I like an aperol spritz whilst reclining on a chaise. Like to keep a mutually respectful household where we talk and share chores equally, and am happy to collaborate on groceries/meals, but am totes flexible with that. Basically looking for a bunch of people to share a home with, as well as sharing time. I also come with Netflix, Spotify and an SUV 😉
Hi everyone! I'm Kristina from Denmark, where I usually spend my time studying anthropology. I have gotten the opportunity to spend the last semester of my BA-degree at ANU, which I am very much looking forward to! But - this means that I need a place to live - preferably as close to ANU as possible, but anything has my interest. I will be in Canberra to look for places from the 1st of February - my studies start on the 13th. I have been living with roommates in different variations for the past four years, so I consider myself accustomed to this way of living - and I love it. I enjoy living with other people, discussing the worldsituation over dinner, a glass of wine, coffee or whatever. I like being social with my roommates, but - of course - also appreciate my privacy, and respect others :-) When I'm not studying, I usually spend my time hanging out with friends, doing yoga, enjoying political and cultural discussions and/or experiences, and back in Denmark, I also have a part time job as a bartender.
Hi I'm Jack, I'm currently looking for accommodation in North Canberra to commute into the ANU where I study PPE/Law. I also work remotely as an administration assistant. I'm originally from Newcastle and my hobbies mainly include reading, walking, learning foreign languages, travelling and generally talking to people about big issues and small. I'm clean and tidy, especially when it comes to common areas as I really hate annoying people and have a good history of getting my rent in on time which I can provide. In terms of how I relate to flatmates/housemates I'm pretty flexible, always happy to hang out but also enjoy alone time and respect when others want it. Though my moving date is listed as 1st of February I am happy to move whenever is convenient. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me on my mobile. Cheers, Jack
I'm easy going and usually like to do my own thing. I'm a massage therapist and Fine Arts graduate so my general hobbies involve me looking after myself with exercise and movies or painting and going to the gallery. I also have a 14 year old daughter who lives in Melbourne with her dad. She stays with me during the school holidays sometimes. In terms of entertainment I love to go out to music venues and I generally love to be around anybody that makes me laugh.
Hi, My name is Nayantara and I'm a 25year old female! I am from Delhi, India and am looking to move to Canberra to start my Masters in Clinical Psychology at ANU this February, 2017. I am a friendly and gregarious person, who enjoys chatting and socialising with people, while also being aware of personal boundaries and being mindful of others' space. I have studied in the UK in the past, and have shared flats with Scottish and English flatmates. I am happy to provide a character reference from my time as a student in The university of St Andrews in Scotland. I enjoy cooking, reading, watching TV shows on Netflix and I love music!
Hey there :) I'm DaHye, a third year BA/BBA ANU student originally from Korea, currently majoring Arabic language, minoring Japanese and Middle Eastern Asian studies for my BA program. I will be returning to Canberra on 16 Feb, and I'm looking for a share house with fun and cool people :). A coffee addict and casual runner, neat and super organised, enjoy some light beer/soju during dinner. I stayed in share houses while I was in Morocco and Japan both for 6 months last year (also stayed in student residence during first two years in Canberra), and didn't have much issues with housemates during my stays. I'm not a huge party monster, but I really enjoy listening to people and have a chill conversation.
I'm moving to Canberra for a full-time public service job. I'm looking for a share house in the inner north. While I’m an active and social person, I’m also a considerate housemate. I’d like to live in a social house where we occasionally enjoy a shared meal/drink/Netflix binge but also respect each other’s space. I currently live in Sydney. I can quote episodes of Broad City, IT Crowd and Arrested Development pretty much line for line, if you're into that kind of thing. I like hiking, reading, live music, podcasts, yoga and good food/coffee. I also love cooking. I’m always looking for people to eat my baked goods so that I don’t eat them all.
Considerate, clean, responsible & friendly. Interests: natural health, fitness, yoga, the beach, languages, music and art. Want to live with someone who is kind, patient, down to earth, clean and considerate. If you are the flatmate I've been looking for - please send me a message, so as we can connect and share a home together.
Hi! I'm Kat and i'm looking for a place to live in Canberra in February 2017. I'm moving down from Queensland for a graduate role and am hoping to live close-ish to the city with a few other people (male or female). I will be staying in accom provided by my department from Feb 4th - 21st and will be looking for a place during that time if you'd like to meet in person. I'm easygoing and a go-with-the-flow kind of girl who likes to socialise, but I also like my alone time and respect others need for privacy. I am clean and tidy (but not too obsessive about it) and love to cook! In my downtime I like to work out and explore new places. Ideally would like to live with someone who can be a respectful housemate, but also a friend - the kinda people down for Mexican Mondays, GoT sessions and a drink and a chat on the weekends :)
Moving from Western Sydney to Canberra to study Art History & Curatorship at ANU. I am bringing some bedroom furniture with me, TV, PS4 & PS3 (my gaming backlog is immense), more books than really necessary, and more clothes than I ever thought I'd own (I'm dreading Canberra's winters already). I'm looking for roommate/s that will be up for a chat, spending occasional meals together, maybe binge watching some TV or going to the movies. I love dogs, tea, travelling, music, tv, movies, reading, podcasts, walking, sleeping, eating, and hopefully cycling. Will look for part time work once I'm settled (been working in office admin for nearly a decade), but due to my uni schedule, office admin might not be possible. PS. I don't own a car but will soon own a bicycle.

Starting uni in March studying teaching, I am friendly and approachable. I am social and enjoy being active. The last two years I have been working full time and also studying at tafe. Hello, My name is Eric (male) from China ,currently studying in ANU master of business information system. I am a friendly, clean, tidy ,respectful guy. Non-smoking , no pet, and easy to get along well with anyone. Especially good at BBQ. I am interesting in a place which close to ANU or city. I can move in from February 2017 to 10 months or 1 year.
I am moving from Brisbane in early Feb 2017 to start a new role, so I'm looking for shared accommodation with some friendly people in Canberra. I've been renting for a few years in Brisbane, so I'm very good at cleaning up after myself, and I'm comfortable living with either guys or girls. As a housemate I am tidy, friendly and considerate, and I am looking for housemates with similar qualities. In my free time I try to get outdoors and go for a walk/hike, and love spending time with friends. Also love getting stuck into a good Netflix series! I have a good sense of humour and I enjoy a good laugh, and don't mind the occasional wine. I'm looking for an unfurnished room, and as a bonus I also come with a couch and front-loader washing machine! (but can put those in storage if they're not needed). I can be flexible with my move-in date starting from 4 Feb, but looking to be moving by 19 Feb at the latest. If you think I might be the right housemate for you, I'd love to hear from you
I'm a full time public servant looking to set up a new share house, or join an existing one in the inner north. I'm tidy, vegetarian, and enjoy going to the gym, hiking, board games & casual drinks on the weekend. I'm easy to get along with, and I'm looking for someone friendly. No gender preference.
My Name is Amodi, I am a 23 year old female public servant from Melbourne. I am friendly and sociable but also value my personal space and do like doing my own thing. I would be down for sharing meals and a cup of tea or coffee (will be bringing my extensive tea collection and my aeropess, so if you are a coffee lover you can help yourself to it). In my down time I like to watch too much TV, read and dabble in arts and crafts as well as bake occasionally. I am looking for a place with friendly flatmates who also value cleanliness and like their independence too. I will be starting work in early February and currently staying in Canberra in temporary accommodation provided by my employer while i look for a more long term living situation.
I'm a fourth year uni student in Canberra (just back from a year long exchange in Taiwan), studying Chinese and Science. I'm tidy and pretty quiet, though I'm always up for a chat over a cup of tea. I'm looking for a tidy, friendly household (if you've got any cooking/cleaning rosters I'm keen to join). I love pets and I'd help walk dogs if you have them.
I'm an IT professional moving from Sydney to Canberra to work in a public service role in mid March. I'm looking for a place to stay around Campbell area. I'm good with cooking, cleaning and fixing things around the house. I'm a non-smoker and non-alcoholic.
Hi there! I've just moved to Canberra from Melbourne to begin work as a grad in the APS. I'm excited to meet new people and explore a new city! The past year has seen me complete an exchange in France, travel a bit though Europe, work full-time and discover Netflix. I'm friendly and laid-back, and like to do my own thing at home, but also enjoy socialising with flatmates. I'm neat and organised and am looking forward to this year!
Hi there, I am a 25 year old male who is looking to move to Canberra ASAP. I am very clean and tidy and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am currently studying a nursing degree via distance and have gained part time employment at one of the local hospitals - hence the move (starting 06th of Feb). I have previously lived in Canberra in Barton and near Civic and quite liked the areas but am open to live anywhere in the central Canberra area. I am described as an honest person, and very easy to get along with. I definitely enjoy being social and having a good BBQ amongst friends. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
Hi, I'm Kai and moving down from Sydney as a grad in an economics related field. I love to check out cafes, listen to indie and jazz music, read, and play board games (I have a growing collection that is just asking to be played). I'm also learning German and French. I'm keen to hang out and socialise, but I'm equally happy relaxing at home. I have shared happily with flatmates for about one and a half years. I'm friendly and keep things in a clean state. Looking for a share place that's pretty central in Canberra. Please feel free to contact me!
Hi I'm Tash and I've just moved to Canberra, all the way from Cairns in sunny Nth QLD. I'm very organised and tidy. I enjoy both spending time at the gym and spending time chilled out watching movies/reading on the couch. I like some alone time, but would also love roommates who are happy to chill out and enjoy and chat or movie night in the evenings.
Just moved from London to Sydney and now planning my move to Canberra after getting a grad job in the public sector. Keen to live with someone who's just as busy as me (i.e. working full-time) but also enjoys a chat over a glass of wine every now and then :)
Hi I'm Leah and I am a first year student at ANU moving from the faraway land of Sydney. I am quiet, clean and tidy but still always up for some good banter. I'm an experienced pool lifeguard and swim school teacher. I love animals and am very interested in animal rights and social justice.
I'm an early 30s gent who works full time (and is often off doing other stuff, too). I'm currently living on Lonsdale Street, but the lease is ending and I'm on the lookout for a friendly place (the sooner the better, but flexible in the next couple of weeks). I'm good with chores, am always happy to have a chat, and am a natural optimist. Looking for same! Michael
Working 9-5 in the city so somewhere in the area would be ideal. Drinks tea and coffee in equal measure, will recycle till the end of days. Can cook about 12 things but willing to try new things (promise i won't poison you). Enjoy playing sports some evenings and watching it others. Keep lying to myself that I like running but will do it on occasion.
I'm a social guy, when I'm not at work, im a full time chef in the city being sponsored by my employer. I'm 29 from Scotland been in Australia for 2 years and really enjoy it. I'm clean, tidy and pay the bills on time, not got a huge amount of stuff to clutter up the place having been living out of a backpack for a couple of years. I enjoy sports music movies chatting about the worlds problems and how to solve them. Looking for a place to live and maybe make some friends along the way.
Hi. I work part-time at a large sporting complex and am also studying honours in psychology. I'm a quiet, clean and easy-going person who enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, sewing and crafty things, playing board and card games and just generally chilling and hanging out. I enjoy swimming and being in and around water. I also enjoy the occasional game of tennis.
My friend Dana and I are moving to Canberra and are looking for two separate rooms to rent (preferrably in the same property but not a neccessity). We would also be willing to team up and take a lease on a new property if people would be willing to do that also. I'm 25 years old and Dana is 19 and we both work full time in childcare. We are tidy and friendly people who like our own space as well as socialising. I like to cook (Dana not so much) and we both like to eat, drink, watch TV, read, take walks, go on day trips, be outdoors, go to the beach etc. We are looking for a chilled, like minded flat/housemate(s) to share a space with. Hoping to hear from you soon!
I'm a PhD student at ANU. I spend most of my time at uni during the week, but like to relax and hang out at home at the end of the day. I'm a pretty flexible person. I like a bit of both worlds, partying or relaxing. Nothing that isn't planned ahead can't be done. Just let me know in advance about a party or people staying over and I'll be fine with it. Plus, I also want to be able to have friends over at times. Regarding tidiness, I'm not obsessed by cleaning, but I don't like dirty toilets for example. I like to clean the house once a week and don't tend to leave dishes in the sink for long. I prefer to share a house with another female around my age. I'm also fine living with couples. I need a place with walking distance to ANU that fits in my budget (up to 200/week) Get in touch with me if we match ;) Cheers, Dani
Hi! I'm Caroline. I'm moving back to Canberra to start a graduate role at a law firm. I love getting out onto some of Canberra's beautiful trails, rowing on LBG, visiting the farmers market/cooking farmers market purchases and hanging out with friends. I am easy-going, and enjoy catching up with housemates of an evening or on the weekends, but also enjoy some alone time and respect the need for privacy. For me, home is a place to feel comfortable and able to relax. I like to keep home clean and tidy. Ideally I'd love to live with someone who can be a respectful housemate and a friend.
Hey yo! Joel here! I'm originally from Malaysia and am looking for a place for me to settle for at least one year while I get my masters done. I'm studying Masters in International Law in the ANU. I will also be working and studying to be admitted into court. Hence, I will be fairly busy in 2017. In terms of being a flatmate, the thing I value most is cleanliness - I like keeping things tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I respect privacy and hope to receive the same. Having said that, I am a rather social person. I love the idea of sharing a conversation over a meal, or even perhaps doing something interesting over the weekend. I'm pretty open minded and respect diversity in any form. I may occasionally sing in the shower though, so I guess that is something to be aware of. =)
Hello! I am a 23 year old girl studying at the ANU. I am looking for a share house for at least a year. I am looking to move out of my current house in Braddon to preferably an apartment building. I am an extremely easygoing, organized and a tidy person who enjoys good conversations, socializing, occasional parties, reading and adventure :D I am fun and reliable to be around and respect personal space. Hit me up if you think we can enjoy a good accommodation share :D Thank you!!
I'm from Sydney, moving to Canberra for a government grad job. Looking for a flatmate or two who enjoy some communal time but are also happy doing their own thing. I have a big collection of scented candles, reasonable cooking skills and a Netflix membership to offer.
Hi !!! I'm a 3rd year student at ANU who originally comes from Sydney. I study a double degree in Development Studies and Languages (German and Russian). I've lived in the inner north of Canberra for a year after horrible on-campus accommodation. I'm a very clean person and enjoy cooking! I'm easy going and love making new friends so I'm keen to get to know new people in a new house :)
My name is Kate, I'm 24, and I'm moving to Canberra in January to start working full time with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. I'm currently living in Melbourne, but I grew up in Tasmania, so I have a very keen interest in the outdoors - I love hiking, snowboarding, and I've just bought a bike and I'm getting into cycling! On the weekends I like to either head off somewhere for an adventure, or go hunt down some live music or a dance floor. Some of my favourite things are Disney movies, perfectly ripe avocados, making up Game of Thrones theories, and the smell of clean bed sheets. In terms of my housemate-style, during the week I'm a bit of a homebody; I love sitting on the couch with a glass of wine (after heading to the gym if I'm keen enough) while eating some kind of carb with cheese on it. I enjoy living with people who have got their own things going on, but are down for a family dinner on the odd occasion everyone is home at the same time.
Hello! I am a 29yo male public servant/PhD student. I like to do a fair bit of exercise (team sports and running) and socializing, but less than I would like because of work and study. I think I'm pretty easy going. My girlfriend is studying overseas so I'll visit her for a few weeks in June I think. Cheers Chris
I'm a student in Master Degree at ANU. I'm come from Thailand. I'm neat and quite. I like to meet new people and I love travel. When I have a free time, I will go to shopping, watch TV, travel and read some book.
Hi There, We are Banner and Angie and are moving to Canberra in Feb 2017! Banner is returning to Uni this year to study his Masters; Angie works in the non-profit sector and will be working full time. We are quiet people and not big party animals. We are a very peaceful couple (i.e., you don't need to worry about any screaming matches or dramatic affronts!). We are neat and will keep things tidy, but also not OCD about your cleaning habits. We enjoy cooking, keeping active, reading, exploring, eating out on occasion ... Overall, we are very easy going and accepting and are looking forward to a new adventure in Canberra!
I am coming for a half-year study at ANU, commencing from July 2017. I am quiet and would like to have time studying and reading. In leisure time, I will go to the lakeside, cycling as well as playing with the naughty black swans!
hack | nerd | activist | queenslander| bakes too much | exercises too little | listens to music that scares and horrifies G'day! I'm moving down from Brisbane for a new job in Civic. I studied law and politics (like everyone in Canberra) and I'm yet another hack! I'm a pretty excellent baker and love cooking (so I need a pretty decent kitchen). I was (and probably will be again) a Scout Leader. I like video games, comic books, bushwalks, canoeing, comedy, live music and getting involved with social activism. I'm really social, love having house parties and going out, and I'm a festival junkie. Usual caveat: I'm not a needy housemate, and I respect my housemates' privacy. I'm also looking to get a new DnD campaign up and running if you need proof of my crippling social dysfunction. I'm after housemates around the same age (20-30), who are keen for the occasional house party but are most of the time just okay listening to me laughing with my headphones on like a madman. I'm pretty independent having had my own places since I was 18. I also drive and I'm handy around the house.
Hi there, I'm moving from Newcastle to Canberra in early February to start an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science at ANU. I am honest, respectful and a positive person who will pull my weight in cleaning and cooking. I am looking for a comfortable house share (close to the uni) or an easy going flat mate who enjoys a laugh and a wine or two (or beer) but it also respectful of space and noise. I like to cook, being outdoors (bbq's and the beach), checking out markets, restaurants, bars but also enjoy my own time and a bit of peace and quiet. Looking forward to checking out Canberra. Cheers!
Hi folks! I'm originally from Melbourne but spent ten years in the US studying and working in the NGO sector. I'll be starting an MA at ANU, working part-time, and am currently looking for some great roommates. I've lived with guys and gals before, so no issues there. As a roommate I'm considerate, quiet, and prefer to do my socialising outside the house, but also like to catch up with roommates once in a while over a proper meal. I'm into hiking, cycling, looking after plants, and the visual arts. Cheers!
I'm a 24 year old student due to start postgraduate studies full time at the ANU. I will be at the university on a fairly regular 9-5 schedule, and will pick up a few evening commitments, too. I like to keep busy during the day on weekends, going for day hikes or drives, meeting up with friends, or just catching a movie or coffee. I like to keep a clean and tidy space, and would appreciate being able to relax after keeping busy at uni, but am also looking forward to meeting new people. I would be happy to meet people as friends, or just to share a space that is courteous and respectful.
Currently a fourth year Economics/Law student at ANU. Will be spending the majority of my time at university but I am very sociable and considerate as a housemate. Cleanliness is a priority for myself and as such I can guarantee that both private and shared spaces will be well kept.
