I've just moved down from Brisbane, and am looking for a fab house to move into. I initially came down to study fashion merchandising at RMIT and will be starting that mid year. Up until then I'm just going to chill out, work as much as possible somewhere in hospitality, and get to know this city. I'm all about having a good time, whether thats having chats over cocktails in bars with pals, dancing the night away to some live music, or just lazing at home being a pleb. I'm looking for somewhere I can call home. I'm not home very much as I like to keep myself busy, but when I am I like to enjoy my space and keep things tidy and clean. I'm not too fussed on anything else. hmu if you have think I'd fit into your home or if you know someone who knows someone.
I'm a young independent male in my late 20s', used to live in Singapore for 10 years, well house manner. Looking for a private room in good condition apartment, long lease to the end of the year or even early 2018. Love cooking and always love to keep my kitchen nice and tidy all the time, as good mood makes good food. I'm a quiet person but always open to chat. Busy all the time either studying at UniMelb or working part-time at Dockland, so probably won't find me home in daytime. Enjoy some PC games (playing bad though) after work at home, otherwise would be reading quietly. Major in Environment/ green building related so do have a green mind to save energy and water. I have a vacuum machine to share as well, so house keeping is not a issue~~
I am originally from Indonesia, grew up in Singapore. Came to Melbourne in '08. I am currently a working professional. I have been living like this for the past 9 years I have been in Melbourne, so I'm telling you how it's going to be like living with me: I clean, am tidy, and organised; I light clean the house every weekend, spring clean every month. I do my laundry twice a month, I don't take long showers. I leave the house by 7:30 am, and get home at around 7:00 pm. This means i keep water and electricity bill low. I expect the same from my housemate(s). I pay on time so you'll never have to chase me for rent/bills money. I rarely cook, so it'll be good if you do. The general rule of thumb is that whoever cooks, the other cleans up. simple manners. I smoke in the balcony, but never in the house. On weekends, I like to just binge on Netflix, and order in. I'm boring like that.
I'm laid back and easy to get along with, clean and tidy. Spend most my free time being a nerd.
Hi I'm Kirk, a 24 year old Property Valuer recently relocated from Sydney. I'm outgoing, easy to get along with and enjoy meeting new people. I'm housetrained; clean/tidy, respectful and all the other good things. Would love to move into a place that's established, where the vibes are good and we can chill with a beer and watch TV together but also have my own time too. Been living with my cousin in Richmond and really like this area, open to South Yarra and surrounding suburbs too. I don't mind whether the room is furnished or not - I have furniture back in Sydney I can bring down. Ideally would like a place that has either on street parking or a garage/drive way as I have a car for work but that's really the only prerequisite. Would love to hear from you if you have a room and arrange to check it out this week! Move date is 4th March. Cheers!
I'm a friendly 21 year old guy from the UK on a working holiday visa. I'm working full time as a charity fundraiser and can make friends with literally anyone! I'm quiet and respectful around the house and like to keep things tidy. Looking for a place to live until May and can move in ASAP!
We are laura lopez ( 23 years) and my spouse Jean sebastien delforge (26 years) we just arrived in Melbourne and we are looking for a flat we are here for a working holidays visa. I have finished my study in law in France, so would like discovery the new horizons and i think melbourne it's fantastic for that we don't have work for the moment but we can pay the rental with our economies we are free for the inspection all the week so send me a email or call me if you need some documents thanks
Im Alexandra but you can call me Alex. Im from Adelaide and i will be studying dance at Victorian College of the Arts this year. Other than contemporary dance i am into health and music and im always down for a laugh. I love food and bike riding and i am easy to get along with.
Hi there! I am an ex-uni student who has decided to try her luck at full time in Melbourne rather than sit in classes all day. I just need a place to stay for several months while I find a more permanent apartment. I don't smoke or use any recreational drugs but I don't mind if you do. I also love animals so if you have pets its not a problem. I am a keen film photographer and branding designer and tend to work late into the night, so a private studio apartment is ideal so I will not keep anyone awake all night! Can't wait to hear about any available opportunities!
From Scotland, but I've been living in Sydney for 2 years. I've just transferred to Melbourne with my company. I'm looking forward to exploring Melbourne, taking pictures of it and drinking lots of coffee.
Hi, I'm a full time hairdresser originally from Brisbane, now working in Port Melbourne. I'm friendly, easy going, tidy, shy, respectful of others privacy, love to have fun, go on adventures and explore Melbourne. In my free time I like to relax, read, watch movies, play games and go to the gym. Hope to make lots of new friends :) Thank you! xx
I work full time in marketing and am fully share-house trained. I like people, pets and pubs and am looking for a house that is relaxed but not rowdy and tidy but not boring. I'm also flexible on move dates
New to Melbourne, from Sydney, studying law at Melbourne University. Friendly, considerate, curious and open minded. I enjoy traveling and exercise. I try to live a healthy lifestyle, love swimming, playing badminton, good coffee, and enjoy healthy cooking. Hope to find a place near Melbourne university for until December, or until end of June 2017.
Hi potential flatmates! I'm looking to move into the city ASAP! I am a tidy, chilled out kinda gal. I'm sociable so I love to go out and have adventures and enjoy Melbournes night life but home is my sanctuary - I'm not the type to throw parties at home.
I work full time at Melbourne uni (and study part time there too). I can be bubbly and social, but not in an annoying overbearing way and know when to give people their space. I'm respectful and quiet, chill and I reckon I'm pretty easy to get along with. I like getting hooked on a great TV series or curling up with my kindle to read for an hour or three. When semester starts it's just academic articles and assignments though. I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi there! I'm Saskia, I work full time as a graduate Interior Architect. I'm a pretty down to earth relaxed type. Due to full time work, I'm usually out of the house during the week, but if I'm around in the evenings I'm up for the occasional meal and chat. On the weekends I tend to catch up with friends, go away for short weekend trips down to the Otways or visit family. Here's a little more of what I'm into! - A good haul of organic veggies - Hiking - Not a massive party girl, but enjoy good company over a beer - Comedy Central - Dogs - A good read If you have any other questions let me know :)
18. Full-time worker. Very easy going, clean and respectful. Enjoys a night out every now and then to bars or restaurants. Happy with a teamup or something close to the city so its easy to get to work.
We are from Pune, India and married for 2 years now. We are planning to come to Melbourne on 12th of March 2017. I am a software developer by profession and Rupal is a French Language Trainer. We are vegetarians, non-smokers and have no children. We are happy go lucky couple who believe in 'Live and let live'. Looking forward to finding good flatmates :)
Heya. I'm a student-turning-yuppie looking for a year long roomshare or more. I'm finishing my degree in IT and work part-time in an experience design startup. We do cool stuff with the Internet of Things (think smarthomes and fridges that talk to you). I'm more of a designer than computer nerd though. I like plants, film, and cycling. Selling points for me as a roomie? As much as it pains me to type this, in my last sharehouse, I was the one that generally did the dishes. NOTE: DO NOT EXPLOIT (please) I like scrounging up my own furniture if you don't have any - not fussy with this kinda thing. Pet project in the works: design and build some origami cardboard furniture (only if need be!) Like this guy: http://foldtheory.com/ Also, I have a projector which I'm happy to share. Sup?
Hi there, name is Will (29) working 9-5 financial services in South Melb. Always a good fit in any for any houseshare place :) Originally from Country Victoria, have lived in Melbourne since '06, have shared a few homes and currently moving out as our landlord wants to renovate entire place. Usually home during the week or at a local gym or cafe, weekends enjoy the footy, music and hoping to do more hiking trips in 2017 :) Happy to help out with any additional furniture if required, I have a new projector for big movies etc Available now, and can meet anytime Look forward to hearing from you soon :) Will
25 years old french men looking for a room in melbourne, just arrive the 11th of february and would like to stay 6 month or more. Easygoing and clean I already live in shared flat and know how to live in community.
I'm easy going, into spiritual healing, love tattoos and swimming. Bit of an odd egg some would say, but I'm definitely interesting. I'm a second year nursing student and absolutely love my studies! I work a few nights a week to keep enough funds to survive! I have a car so could drive you places if you need and are willing to chip in a little for petrol :) I'm still finding my hobbies, but so far they include swimming, walking, astrology and spending time with my beautiful Bengal x Ragdol cat, Casper (He is the light of my life and would be moving with me) ;) I'm originally from England and plan to travel South East Asia next 3rd trimester holidays (November) so finding a flatmate with similar interests would be a bonus! Don't be shy, shoot me a message :-)
Friendly, easy going guy from England who is looking to join a fun, outgoing house. Happy to kick back with a few beers, but also respect people's privacy. Play soccer and tennis at Melbourne Uni, and enjoy jamming on the guitar and piano.
Hi Im Nelson Im from Sydney and I just moved here quite recently to go to RMIT, in order to do graphic design. Im not really sure what to say on here. Just interview me and find out. :--) PS: I can do magic.
Male 27 and Female 26 from Manchester UK. We are a laid back couple who have been together for 7 years so we do not do dramas. We are looking for a house share with others who enjoy a quiet life style or private accommodation within our budget that's close to public transport in to the CBD. We don't mind socially drinking but are getting slightly too old for partying every weekend. We love animals, gaming, watching films, the gym and cleaning! We are travelling to Melbourne in May and looking for full time work as we wish to stay in Melbourne for 2/3 month if not longer. We have house shared previously with males and females and understand boundaries and respect rules everyone has when sharing this is no problem for us.
Hey guys my name is Toby and I've just moved to Melbourne from Perth (yes another one..) to start my PhD at UoM in communications so looking for long term accommodation while I complete my studies. I'm a pretty easy going guy to live with although I do prefer tidiness within reason and a social household, I'm always down for a hangout/chat! In my spare time I like to stay active (running/gym), enjoy reading/writing, netflixing and social drinks. Looking to move in somewhere as soon as possible :)
Hi, I'm Quentin, 23 years old from France. I arrived in Melbourne on Monday night and I just started an internship to validate my Master's degree at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research near the Royal Melbourne Hospital. I am looking for an accommodation available ASAP for a period of 6-7 months. I am paid and I also received a French scholarship for my internship, so I will have no problem paying my rent on time. Since my 18 years I do house/flatsharing, so I am more than accustomed. During this period, I crossed many people from different countries not any Australian yet ! Sociable by nature, I know how to adapt to the characters of my roommates, I do my share of household tasks and I am a real cordon bleu ! Even if we separate our food, I often cook or do pastries to pass the time. You could have your share ! I will also be delighted to start a discussion about a beer or a glass of wine either outside or at home. I think I'm never short of discussion, this is surely my French side! Cheers, Quentin.
Hi i'm currently looking to move into a place with someone or happy to team up with someone. I'm neat and tidy and a non smoker. I'm social but also like my own time. Looking for a place preferably furnished with my own bathroom :)
Moving to Melbourne from Canberra in the next two weeks for a career change. Full time professional working in the CBD. Would love to find a place as close to the CBD within my price range as possible. Am easy going, fairly quiet but also enjoy conversation over dinner. Ideally looking for two bedroom two bathroom apartment share.
I'm from the UK and have been travelling in Australia on a working holiday visa since January. I'm now looking to work in Melbourne for 2-4 months. My field of work is in education administration and I am looking to get an administration job in Melbourne. My main interests are sport, in particular tennis, and going to see live music. I'd describe myself as a very tidy and laid back person and I'm looking to find a nice private room somewhere fairly central in Melbourne.
Hi there. I'm a master student of unimelb. Before moving to Melbourne, I spent 10 months in Tel Aviv and 1 year in Beijing, working as a columnist. I speak English, Chinese and Russian, love cooking and reading. I'm easy-going, tidy, and very respectful of personal boundaries. Let me know if you have a flat to share :)
I am a young professional, currently working full-time as a Senior Treasury Analyst. My housemate of three years will be vacating our apartment upon completion of her undergraduate degree in early March 2017. I am open to either sharing my current two-bedroom apartment with another housemate or teaming-up to get a different apartment. It would be a plus if the apartment has a gym, but not fussed if it doesn't. I am an affable person and would love to find a housemate(s) who is social and looking to develop a friendship. I am also a very neat and tidy person so it would be great if you value that as well. Hope to hear from you. - Ivan
Hi, I've just moved and am getting myself settled into Melbourne really. 30 yo, looking at returning to Uni. I fiddle with a guitar from time to time, and cook hearty Cajun meals. I like making home videos and recordings, and play Ice hockey and tennis when I can. I'm generally pretty quiet, but enjoy socializing. Drop me a line! Thanks, Ben
50% Brazilian, 50% French and a big cup of coffee addiction for both of us. Easy going, we are looking for a room in a share flat with some people who love good food and sometimes sharing one (or two ... or three) glass of wine.
A young guy who ran off to Melbourne on a gap year. Just trying to find a relaxed, social house to explore the city from and meet some awesome people. About myself, originally from New Zealand but grew up in 3 different countries. I sketch, cook and write as hobbies, enjoy a good gig and night out, but also appreciate some quiet times in the house. Oh, and I don't have a phone right now, so either email or message me.Thanks
Hi guys! My name’s Amanda and I’m transferring to the University of Melbourne to complete a bachelors in Media & Communications. I used to study in Montreal, Canada, and before that, grew up in Washington, DC., USA. I'm looking for a place in North Melbourne or close to the CBD. I've lived in a couple places already and have been always good with paying rent/bills on time. I’m 20 years old, and would like roommates around their early-to-mid 20’s. My maximum is around $250 p/w, some more if I really love the place. My interests include social justice, high fashion, foreign film, and all kinds of music. I'm extroverted and not much of a homebody, so I'm usually out of the house. I love going to art showcases and night clubs. I'm a really sociable person who talks quite a bit, but also good with understanding personal space.
Dutch guy that has been travelling for 2 months in Vietnam, Cambodia and Philippines. Looking for a great place te stay and work full time for a few months. Hi! We've just moved here from the states for about 6 months. My friend and I are studying/working nearly full time in Melbourne. I promise we're not annoying Americans. We're really easy-going, would love to meet people and have a good time! Feel free to ask me any questions. Looking for a shared room with two beds. Excited to hear from you! Angela & Allegra
Hey! We're in Melbourne since 2 months now, we are 4 people coming from France. We're looking for a place with 2 private bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and one with 2 simples bed. We are easy going and not too intrusive :) There is Me (Mel) and my GF (Sabrina), we have 23 years old. And there is Sacha and Quentin, 22yo and 21yo. You can still propose us just one bedroom for my GF and me, we can split if we have no choice. :) Cheers!
I love to clean and am the easiest person to talk to you will ever meet. I'm relaxed and friendly and love a drink or two. I'm super respectful and work business hours through the week.
Hello. I am currently in between rental properties and am looking for a place to stay short term before I move interstate. I work full time in the city doing IT at the ATO, so I would ideally like somewhere near public transport so I can get to work easily. I am clean, respectful and courteous of other housemates. I know what it is like to share a living space and always pull my weight to ensure a fluid running household! Message me if you are looking for someone to fill a room short term, or if you want to know more. Cheers!
I am a 28 year old guy from Amsterdam who quit his job after working 8 years full time as a young professional in Telecommunications. I did this because I realized my current life situation was not going to make me happy in the end. I've recently arrived in Melbourne and I noticed I really love it here. That's why I'm looking for a place to call home for a longer period. I'm also looking for work so I probably will be working full time or at least as much as possible. People appreciate me because of my positive, outgoing and happy attitude. I would describe myself as the 'just trying to be happy kinda guy'. I don't take life too seriously, I just try to make the best out of every moment. I'm sociable, reliable, friendly, considerate and trustworthy. I'm a vegetarian and a smoker (but can smoke outside), I love beers and I am a music lover in general (would love to learn to play any instrument!). Other things I appreciate: food & cooking, traveling, sustainable living, serious conversations, coffee, yoga, spirituality and the smell of washing powder. Ideally I'm seeking for a chilled out, homely and cosy place with a 'small-community' feeling to call home in area's like Fitzroy, Coburg, Brunswick, Northcote, Richmond, Collingwood, St. Kilda, Windsor or surrounding area's. BUT, I'm really flexible so if you have a room somewhere else, please let me know as well! At the moment I don't have a place to live so I would rather move in yesterday then tomorrow :) So if you are looking for an awesome housemate, don't hesitate to contact me right away so we could arrange a chat in real life soon (that probably gives a way better impression of myself then this story)
Hiya I'm a gal from England currently on exchange for a year studying at Monash university. I've been here for one semester where I stayed at halls but am looking to move into the city to be closer to shops and bars. I'm really sociable and love going out for drinks and meals but my days will mostly be spent at uni and studying. I'm clean and am more then happy to share cleaning responsibilities around the place :)
HI there! My name is Patricia. I recently moved down to Melbourne to pursue my Masters in early education at Unimelb. Hence, I'm looking for a private furnished room around that area (happy to walk 30mins, trying to save cash on public transport lol) I'm pretty organised and I get along well with anyone. I am looking for a long term stay, prefer a quite/chill environment. Really appreciate the reach out. Thanks
We have just moved over to Melbourne from New Zealand and need a long-term place to call home! I work as an Account Coordinator at a start up company aiming to eliminate food wastage in commercial kitchens, as food/cooking is my own true passion in life! Aside from cooking and food, outside of work I love to chill out with a good chat, accompanied with a glass of wine/beer (not fussy!), or read a book whilst soaking up the sunshine. Tom currently works behind the bar in South Yarra, and is an excellent musician (though his band practice elsewhere!). Music is his one true love, but does enjoy food & coffee, sports, beer and joining me in a chat + bevvie! Tom also used to work in the horticulture sector, so has a good green thumb and is keen to get in to any outdoor space available. We have lived together in a sharehouse type environment for roughly 3 years now, so know the drill, and are respectful and tidy - with the classic Kiwi attitude of "no worries bro!". We are both total animal lovers, so pets of any kind are a major winner with us, and we will treat them as if they are our own fur babies. We do love our own space, but also love a family feel to the place with house activities/meals :) Let us know if you have any further questions, or want to catch a drink to further discuss any opportunities! Looking forward to meeting you future housies! :)
Hey there! I'm an advertising writer from the states in Melbourne on a working holiday. I saved up money for years, and can afford to live here without working, those eventually plan to start freelancing at some point. My favorite hobbies are movies, board/card games, poker, going out drinking/eating, and writing. Right now, I'm deep into a project for my friend's video game company back in the USA. Here's a little Imgur album with some pictures and more about me! http://imgur.com/a/SS6eK I plan on staying in Australia for a year, but want to commit to 6 months max at this time (with the possibility of extending!) Thanks! -Jake
I am a student at Unimelb, major in Linguistics and Philosophy. I am usually very busy with my assignments but I still try my best to have some fun hahaha and I'd love to chat with my roommates : ) A little more about me : ) • vegetarian • don't drink / smoke (but I'm ok with it even if you do) • I enjoy cleaning👻 • Maximum 6 months (going on an exchange from September) Move date : before March/10 Looking forward to hearing from you so we can organise a time☺️
