Is your home a place that feels wonderful, is an amazing sanctuary & lights you up? Do you have a spare space calling for a loving, creative, grounded & balanced being to inhabit it? Hi, I'm Jen. After many years of house sharing I feel a longing to have a space to call my own. However, I believe we are meant to exist in community & coming home after work to friendly faces, a bit of conversation & the occasional shared meal would be greatly appreciated. Who we share space with is paramount to our wellbeing, so I'd love to share with organic/earth/energy conscious people that are authentic & act with integrity in the world. A snapshot of me: I'm 36 and I enjoy my work as manager of a local art studio, alongside building my own business as a Shamanic Womancrafter, Life Doola, Artist, Healer & Teacher, running women's circles & currently studying the women's mysteries & spiritual practises. Last year I returned to my home town of Newcastle after over a decade away of job pursuits & I'm happy to be back & closer to friends, family & the beach. I want to be radically honest here about who I am. For some, what I just wrote may seem a bit far out or 'woo woo', but I hope for the right people, you'll read between the lines & feel what I'm about. I'm caring, empathetic, motivated, logical & got my feet firmly on the ground! Apart from all the usual 'fully house trained' stuff (even considered a bit of a handy-woman & come with tools to help with odd jobs & repairs around the house), I come with a fur child. Elkie is my 14yr old, indoor female tabby cat. She's super chilled, doesn't wander very far, spends most of her time sleeping on my bed & loves a good chat. She's not a huge fan of other animals, so I'm not really keen to subject her to that when it can stress her out. Elkie is just awesome, even people who don't really like cats can't resist falling for her charm. Elkie will win a place in your heart, I promise, so folks that are ‘cat people’ & would be keen to give her some love from time to time are what I’m calling in! I’ve been situated close to Glenrock reserve & the beach since my return & it’s my happy place – bush & beach! So preference would definitely swing towards that area, but open to anywhere that has some tree's in view. I travel a bit with my course work, I love to make art & be creative & I treat all those in my world with respect, honesty & openness. My wish list - A home that is surrounded by leafy greens & trees - A medium to large room that is quiet & safe for me & Elkie - Loads of natural light & air flow - Bath & air con are luxury items I would thank the stars for! - Space for my art studio/office set up (perhaps you have a windowed garage or shed, or a sunroom I could use?) - Storage for my camping stuff, bits & pieces (I have a full house set up in storage that can or can’t be used as needed) - Kitchen that is spacious enough to create in - Spacious living area’s that allow everyone to have the space they need - No more than a 30min drive from Wallsend would be preferred & close to a bush walk &/or water source would be magic! There are so many different types of properties, homes, families & living arrangements out there, so if any of this has kept you reading so far & you've got something that might suit, I'd love to hear from you. I know the perfect sanctuary exists! I look forward to meeting you.

I currently work two jobs and am completing a degree and train and play sport a couple of times a week so I live a busy lifestyle. I am able to move really from anytime within the next month, my settlement is on the 6th June. Hi! My name is Sarah, I am a property manager and I do some part time baristaing on the side. When I'm not back and forth between my jobs, I am studying full time online. My 18 month old rescue pupper Harlow and I are looking for an awesome flat mate to share a house with in any of the Newcastle areas. We are tidy and easy to get along with. Harlow is a little timid at first but she quickly warms up to everyone and loves a cuddle on the lounge and exploring outdoors. I am currently in a share house however the owners are selling and we have to move with little notice. The most important thing for us is to have someone who likes dogs and is easy going. I have a good rental history and we are very respectful of your space and only require the same from you, however we are also very happy to hang out, share a drink, stories or watch a movie!
I'm a pretty relaxed kinda gal. I enjoy staying active and healthy but also love down time with the tv and a pizza. I'm a signwriter by trade and studying online. I have my own little side hustle that keeps me busy designing. Respectful and clean.
Greetings! I am a friendly and sociable guy with a laid back attitude. I enjoy the beach, hockey, paintball and going out and meeting new people. I'm very clean and respectful of others property. I was living in Newcastle for four years back in 2012. I am currently working but in the process of moving back down to Newcastle for work.
I am a clean and respectful housemate. I don't make much noise and always ask for permission to have people over. I am considerate to others, enjoy quiet nights in as well as a couple of nights out every now and then. I am currently unemployed as I will be moving from Victoria on the 5th of July. I am currently pursuing jobs at the moment an will hopefully have employment before I move up. I enjoy watching NRL over AFL and like to watch the Supercars when I have the time.
Looking for somewhere in Newcastle/Lake Macquarie that is pet friendly. Prefer to find a house with like minded females who are of similar age. I also have a a heap of furniture, lounge, dining table, coffee table, dryer, washing machine, lawn mower and whipper snipper etc. I work full time, very reliable, loves a clean house & pays all bills before there due date! :) About the dog: I have a 3 year old medium size staffy cross who is super friendly and lovable, he has never destroyed or damaged anything and he is available for cuddles anytime you need. Only interested in a place where dogs are allowed inside the house, I like to bring my dog in when I’m home and on cold nights. Prefer to find a house with like minded females who are of similar age.
Hi my name’s Alice I’m a 20 year old artist and looking to move to Newcastle to begin studying at the University next semester I love creating and spend most of my own time on art projects and will be studying once uni starts but would love to be able to contribute to a lively household as I’m a very friendly, respectful, easy going person. I enjoy being able to socialise and hang out at the beach, in town, at gigs, art exhibitions or with a drink or two and find the music and art culture in Newcastle very exciting. Very clean and tidy person and happy to help around the house to keep it a nice environment also will be contributing in anyway I can. All in all hoping to find a vibrant, easy going place I can complete my studies in :)

Hi I'm an easy going, young at heart 50 year old. I'm a teacher, massage therapist and children's wellness coach. I moved to Newcastle just over a year ago and I would love to live as close as possible to the beach. I've owned my own properties before renting for the last couple of years. I am respectful and treat properties like they're my own. I am social but also a very private and ideally I would love my own space and bathroom and have my own furniture. I'm also open to sharing with 1 other as well. I do have a well behaved dog (cavoodle) that's super friendly and makes a great companiaon.
Easy going, clean, respectful of others , do enjoying some down time due to having a busy week schedule with my 3 part time jobs. Come the weekend, I enjoy a social drink, hanging out, being active and surfing.
Hi, everyone! My name is Natã and I'm a soon-to-be PhD student at University of Newcastle. I'm from Brazil, and as all Brazilians, I'm very friendly, love to talk and have a monkey as Pet - one of these three is a lie ;). I'm looking for someplace where I can call it home, not just a house; it will be my home away from home. As I love teaching, I would gladly help you with Calculus, Physics and other classes. I love movies and going to the cinema/theater as well as cooking (especially something sweet). =D I'm tidy, quiet when need to be (but always down for some talking) and respectful. Plus, I am Brazilian and can teach you how to samba or play football (just kidding, I'm terrible at those). I don't have Pets (but love animals, so, if you have one, it's not a problem). If you are interested, just message me! Have a great, sunny day.
Hello! I'm a 25 year old female PhD student at the University of Newcastle, working at HMRI/John Hunter Hospital. I love to cook and appreciate cleanliness. I'm currently living at home and looking to move out. Ideally, it would be in a house of people with whom i could be friends. I will be in Newcastle for the foreseeable future so longer term stays would be preferable. I have a scholarship until march 2019 so reasonable rent isn't an issue. I'm looking to spend $200pw (including bills and internet) absolute maximum and preferably with a private bathroom but not a necessity. I have a car so somewhere to park would also be ideal. I'm not a party person, a chill night with wine, cheese and netflix suits me fine and I'm happy to keep to myself. I'm a feminist and environmentally conscious so I would prefer to live with similarlly minded people. If I sound like someone you might want to rent a room to (or you have a property in which I could live), please message me!
Hi, I'm Hugh - I've just finished an engineering degree in Sydney and am about to start a new job near Newcastle with a veterinary pharmaceutical company. Far from being a big pharma sellout, I like to think that my job will be helping to cure sick puppies and kittens, so that's the (mostly true!) story that I've been using. I've been renting share houses since I started uni, thought about saving for my own place but realised I like avocado on toast way too much. On the plus side, I know the basics of how to adult and survive communal living. I'm capable in the kitchen and like to cook for people so think I would really get along in a household which appreciates nice food. I'm also a keen salsa dancer who has been taking lessons for about six months, and terrible at surfing but always looking to get better. For now, I'm just looking for a place to stay for a couple of months until I find my feet in a new city, but definitely open to staying longer if I find the right place. If you think that we'd get along, send me a message or give me a call!
Hi there I'm a responsible 31 yr old Christian looking for a room. I'm easy going, clean and respectful. I've lived in many share houses before so am experienced. I enjoy socialising but also like my quiet time. Love watching movies, cooking and hanging out with friends. Love animals but don't have any pets of my own. Looking for somewhere close to public transport. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
Hello :) I am from Munich, Germany, studying in Austria, doing a semester abroad in Newcastle at UON studying film&media courses starting in July. I am looking for other people to share a flat with, or a flatshare which has a room available. I love to do all kinds of cultural things, anything music or art related, I'm calm as well as social, easygoing and respectful. I would love to find some nice people to live with! I am actually looking for a room until November, but for now, a place for a shorter time would be fine too. I don't know Newcastle well, but I'd like to live somewhere central near good transportation to UON.
I've recently moved to Newcastle and I'm looking for a place relatively close to my part time bar job. I'm outgoing and social but independent and will respect others spaces. Hoping to move into a house of good natured roommates with good senses of humor!
Hi, I'm a social and easy-going female from the Netherlands who is looking for a shared household. During the day, I'm pretty busy with my studies at uni, but love to have a good time with my roommates afterwards.
Easy going beaches girl, works full time looking for a room in Newcastles CBD or close walk to the beach. I'm moving from Sydney to a job in Newcastles CBD, my family live up here now and I've secured a role so am excited to start! I have a 11 year old cat who is so well behaved that I have references from the last 3 properties I've lived at. Shes harmless, doesnt meow or cause a fuss but loves cuddles so basically hit the jackpot. As for me I'm independent but love to chat and make new friends. I keep fit and active and love to cook more than anything. Cleanliness comes easily and have never had an issue with getting along with housemates. I currently live with 4 girls and we are now best friends but welcome living with male or females. Up for family dinners, up for bar catch ups or dinner outs. Available mid June so please reach out :)
