I am coming back from an exchange in Amsterdam and I need a new place to live while I complete my final year of university! I am studying sustainability and environmental management at Deakin, Burwood. I had a casual job at McDonalds which I'm sure I will be able to get back, but if not, my centrelink payments and savings are more than enough to pay for my rent until I find a new one. I have lived in three different share houses since moving out at 18 and have always paid my rent on time. I am a very organised and clean person and I would like to share a house with just one, two or perhaps three housemates that also know how to clean up after themselves. I also have a pet snake, I always keep her enclosure in my room. I know that not everyone is comfortable with the idea of living with a snake, and if so I promise you will never have to see her.
I'm a young working professional looking for a place to stay (6 months min to long term). I work in Surrey Hills, so prefer to live nearby. I have my own bed and furniture so I'm open to an unfurnished room. I'm an easy going girl and looking for a quiet place to share with females only.
I am a 25 year old studying my Master of Environment part time at Melbourne Uni. I do dog walking and pet sitting for work. I have 2 indoor cats, Tallulah and Nala. I love spending time with animals, reading, beer or wine with friends, the environment, TV shows, vegan food and Pokemon Go. I'm looking for a room in the eastern suburbs, close to public transport. I am flexible re: move in date, though would like to move in the next couple of months. I have been living in sharehouses for the past 7 years. I clean up after myself and my cats. I enjoy a chat over a drink or meal with housemates, but am respectful of your personal space. I'm looking to pay up to about $600/pcm. Please shoot me a PM if you think me and my 2 lovely cats might gel with your household! Cheers!
Hi I'm a final year medical student, doing my rotations at the Box Hill hospital and Monash Medical Centre. I would prefer a room in Box Hill or Blackburn area for approximately 5 months.
**I HAVE A DOG - PLEASE NO MESSAGES IF YOU WILL DECLINE DUE TO PETS** Hey future flatmates! My name is Kiera and I’ve been living in Melbourne for 2 years now. I work full time in business and finance and LOVE my job. It keeps me quite busy throughout the week so I’m often out early and back a little later in the evenings, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! In my spare time I’m often trying to get to the gym or taking my dog for a play date. As for weekends I generally out and about either watching or playing football, having drinks with friends or trying to get out of Melbourne for a weekend getaway! Ultimately looking for a place with a nice yard for my dog and I to call and for housemates that are respectful, reasonably clean and want to be mates..not just strangers living in the same home. If I sound like a good fit, please send me a message!
I make amazing pizza. Big fan of privacy - I'm in people's faces all day so enjoy some solitude of an evening. When I'm not working (which is nearly all of the time) I'm streaming everything. I'm a History teacher.
Hi, I'm a down to earth Taiwanese girl who's studying interpreting and working part-time. Although I'm a bit shy I do love to make friends, and I think sharing house is a great way to develop deep friendship. I do hope that I can have lifelong friendship through house sharing with good people in this country. Don't worry, I know how to give personal space and respect your privacy! :) I'm not a party person, but I do enjoy group activities. I'm not very good at small talking but love to be a listener when someone needs to talk. I'm not a good cook yet but I enjoy cooking and preparing meals together with others. I might not be charming but I'm easy to get along with. I'm clean and tidy and just expect the same for the flat and flatmates. I'm now looking for two private rooms for me and my friend Elaine, who is from Hong Kong and will soon become a working new graduate. Elaine is sweet, down to earth and polite. We are both quiet and clean, and we need a truly quiet, clean, tidy place to stay. A good room to me would be a room that has a window to look out, within 10 min walking distance to train station, and can be covered by $200/week including all bills ($230 is fine for Elaine). Must be furnished and have internet available. Doesn't need to be big, doesn't need to have an own bathroom or balcony. I don't really swim or use any gym facilities. Our preferred location is somewhere along the train line from Richmond to Box hill. We are christians, it would be nice if we can have christian flatmates, so please do contact me if you're looking for christian house share. If everything's good we would love to stay for longer than 6 months.
I'm a self-employed gardener, running my own business. I have many interests and do a number of activities/sport during the week. Happy to hang out with others and also happy to be by myself. I like to dance, sing, read, play boardgames and generally have fun. Not a big party animal. Love cats and dogs. Can help get rid of most spiders (after initially freaking out). Love puns. I'm looking for a private room in a share house full of nice, friendly people. Hopefully it will have a garden and parking too. Message me if you want to know anything else :)
Hi all, My name is Ashley, I am a 28 year old counsellor doing my Master of Professional Psychology part time. I am looking for 2 friendly people to live with in a sharehouse long-term. I am tidy and easy to get along with, but also enjoy my own space and respect other's privacy. Looking for a quiet place where I can relax and have some peace, but also have a good chat and share the odd glass of wine or meal with housemates. I enjoy running, catching up with family and friends, true crime podcasts, Outlander and baking. Ash:)
Hi there, My name is Paul. I am 30 years old. I am LGBTIQ friendly. I have just moved back to Melbourne from Launceston in Tasmania. I have come back to study what I couldn't in TAS. It's my goal to become a veterinarian. I'm currently looking for a room. I'm not really interested in large student share-houses. I prefer to live in a home. I like to sometimes share a meal and a bottle of wine with my housemates. My hobbies include gardening (vegetable gardening), cooking and baking and beer brewing, bush walking, wildlife and learning new languages. I am considerate of others, I am a very tidy person, I am quiet and enjoy my own company (also sometimes enjoying the company of others). I have several great references to confirm this. Thanks for taking the time to read Cheers Paul
I'm a 26-year-old professional set to start a new job in Melbourne in February and will be looking to move into a place mid-January. Originally from country NSW I have spent most of the last few years studying at UOW in Wollongong and have lived in a few share houses during that time. I am a social person and would enjoy a social house (am always keen for a few beers and some banter on a weekend) but also enjoy time to myself to relax and respect other peoples needs in that regard too. I'm tidy and always clean up after myself and would always be happy to help in group house clean up efforts. In terms of interests I enjoy getting outside, traveling, going to live music and comedy and just generally socialising with friends.
I am a student, studying at Deakin. Doing my Masters. Social and outgoing but also happy to keep to myself . - Very clean and tidy - Generally organised when it comes to livelihood management and day to day responsibilities.
I’m the girl that’s both social but keeps to herself and respectful of personal space. I’m very easy going, fun, loves a laugh, clean, financially stable, passion for cooking (am a Caterer) the occasional glass of Chardonnay (or 2) my art and music (played at a low level).
I'm Leah, a first year at Deakin University. I'm looking for a place near Burwood to stay. I'm hoping to make good friends with the people I end up living with! I love reading and the performing arts. I'm originally from a small country town called Mirboo North
I’m an easy going person looking for a short term stay, rent will always be paid and the bond will be there upon moving in via bond application including the 1 months rent I work casual and am very quiet, non smoker or drinker. Good references
Hi. I am a full time Technical Officer and I study part time as well. I am friendly, considerate, outgoing and easy to live with. I like to socialise, go out and just do fun and/or relaxing activities during my free time. I like being able to have conversations at least every now and then with my housemates. I would prefer someone/s closer to my age to live with but I’m not fussy. I like to live in a tidy environment so I’m looking for someone similar to myself. Also, I’m fairly busy during the week so someone who is similar and doesn’t make too much noise during the week would be appreciated. I’m also looking for a private room so I’m not interested in sharing a room at all. Happy to team up to find a place as well:-) Feel free to message me:-)
Hey! I'm Jaiman (pronounced J-Man), I am 19 and I am moving to Melbourne to study a Bachelor of Applied Music (Performance) at Box Hill Institute in 2019! I've spent the last year, my GAP year, doing a number of things but a big part of it was traveling to Europe for two months alone. Traveling and just the good old road trip are high interests of mine. Most of my time is spent taking photos, filming, hanging out with friends and even more so playing/writing/recording music! I like to keep my environment clean and comfortable. I value good friendships and hope to find some flatmates that do too. And though I am a musician, I will have musical instruments and depending on room size a bit of a home studio with me, but I respect peoples privacy/quiet time and will adapt to lifestyles of those around me. I will be moving without a job in the beginning but once I workout my studying schedule I will look for a job (not fussed what kind). I'm adaptable to just about any living arrangements and will do my part just as I expect you would too! :) I am hoping to spend about $180 on rent but my maximum would be around $240! Feel free to shoot me a message! Cheers, Jaiman
Hey everyone! I'm a French girl who's just moved back to Melbourne. Though I'm on a working holiday visa, I don't plan on going interstate: Melbourne is my one and only Australian home. That's why I'm looking for a nice long-term stay. I don't have much criteria: It needs to be a walkable distance from a train station on the Belgrave or Lilydale line, as I don't own a car, and I want my boyfriend to come over a few times. I don't want to share my room as I love my privacy, but I really don't mind if we share a bathroom. For the moment, I am unemployed, but my parents will support me until I have a decent wage, so you won't have to worry, I'll always pay my rent on time! I'm trying to find a job as a translator. I'm quite shy and love some time alone, however I'll always appreciate a nice convo about anything, around a drink or a nice dinner if you want to. I'm not only looking for homies, but also for friends. I'm passionate about languages, linguistics and traveling, love literature, movies and TV shows and can never say no to a footy or rugby game. I love cooking, and most importantly eating. Cats are my favourite creatures in the whole wide world.
